The priestess gasped, surprised as the fluffy black tails wrapped around her, holding her close. Her cheeks flushed, realizing perhaps she was still foolish from sleep and whatever had come over her before Miyuki carried her to bed. She did not struggle against the tails, instead just trying to center herself before Miyuki released her. The blond sat back, smiling softly despite herself.

"No, I cannot see the future." Yumeiko raised her gaze from wherever it had settled in thought.

The priestess's blush renewed under that smug gaze and that smug question, and she turned away. "Yes. Yes, I'm done brushing." Yumeiko began to remove herself from the bed. "I, ah, have imposed on your space enough for one evening, haven't I?"

Grooming Miyuki had given the blonde a nostalgic feeling, like sitting with one of the shrine maidens she might have been sweet on. She was quite beautiful, too. Yumeiko barely remembered it, but Miyuki had carried her. A short distance, sure, but the black fox had been somewhat indolent before that. In that moment, however, she had shown the priestess something genuine. Was that lazyiness part of an act?

She stood and took a breath, making a motion over her body with her hands before the line cook outfit she wore changed. As though the cloth rolled into new cloth, from the top down, it changed into a modest skirt and blazer with some gilding here and there. She looked herself over slowly, nodding here and there with approval.

"Hoo-hoooohn~" Miyuki maid a saucy noise as she watched Yumeko change into her snazzy new duds, right infront of her. "Wish i could change my clothes that easily~ Tehn i wouldn't have to risk being seen when I'm indecent..." She said, still with taht darned smug face of hers.

Miyuki then rose herself, adjusting her hair slightly to get it the way she liked it. Which... Wasn't a big change, actually, it barely looked like anything was different, but perhaps a few stands had been in her face or something? Whatever the case, the dark fox was now standing up as well, enxt to her bed, looking at the golden fox.

"Lovely visit. We should do this again sometimes, I'll walk you to the door and see you off." ... The door, which was in the next partitio-section over... And.. Wait... Was she planning on going back to bed once Yumeko left...?

... Surely not...? Right? ... Right!?

Yumeiko bit back a smile, trying not to let thoughts of the underdressed-

Nope nope nope. "Ah, haha, right? I don't even have to go under the bed for anything."

Mnnnn. Not exactly what she had wanted to talk about, and she caught herself watching Miyuki as she stood and adjusted her hair. Had she missed something, or was Miyuki just being fussy? Probably.

"The whole routine? I could do without so much cleaning, please don't make another mess." Now it was Yumeiko who turned a smug smirk, and she motioned for Miyuki to lead the way. At the door, the priestess would stop before leaving, and then turn to Miyuki.

"You're not going to just... go back to bed, are you?" Her eyes turned past Miyuki, into what was essentially an apartment, and then back to the slightly taller, rather larger other fox in front of her. "Miyuki, why don't I show you around, instead? There's plenty on the ship to do. Maybe you'll even find something new and interesting?"

Miyuki stood at the door, watching the blazer-wearing blonde, make an offer about being shown around the shup. The ship, that was in essence, a flying giant shrine, of vast amounts of distance and room. The golden fox was asking her to walk around, look at things she had no idea what they were, instead of going back to snoozin' cozily in her soft, luxurious bed.

It... It didn't take a genius or much effort to see what Miyuki's face was saying as she stood there in silence, looking at Yumeko.

... Then the dark fox sighed.

"... let me put something on my feet first..."

Because, as Yumeko surely remembered, Miyuki was currently barefoot. Retreating back into her bedroom, there was the noise of a drawer being slid open, some rustling and mumbling, followed by a not-overly-loud-but-still-very-audible wooden 'smack', as soemthing was closed shut... And then a brief moment of nothing... Before theblack haired one reappeared. She was still wearing her rather... breezy... kimono, but was now also sporting a pair of ankle high white socks and... And... Uh... Were... Were those... Flip-flops...? ... Pink flip-flops...? Like, really, really, really girly flip-flops....!?

To say they clashed with the rest of Miyuki's appearance was like saying a soccer ball was hard to spot on a field of green grass... They.. Stood out... Quite a bit...

"... I don't usually wear feet-things..." Miyuki had a slight pout to her face now, and her cheeks were just the faintest bit tinged with pink. It was hard to tell if she was grumpy or embarrassed... or both... "L-Lead the way..."

Aah. Was that a no, then? Yumi's ears drooped a bit, expecting a refusal, a denial, but what she heard instead sounded like a - reluctant - confirmation. Her ears perked back up, more of surprise than anything else, and one yokai watched the other retreat into her bedroom once more.

Miyuki sounded rather discontent about the situation, but the priestess was just glad the black fox was going through with it. She listened with an apologetic smile for no one in particular as Miyuki thumped and grumbled in her room, only for the woman to emerge in not much more. She'd added white socks and-

Wh-.. she owns something like that? That color? Someone must have given it to her a long time ago. Yumeiko wondered vaguely at what their fate had been, but thought it best not to dwell.

"Miyuki," Yumeiko was VERY careful not to laugh, "those, ah, feet-things - those ones are commonly called 'flip-flops', because of the sound they make" focus, "mn, those ones-... why don't we go have a look at some of the other things you've got?"

Gods, did those wanna-be sandals not go with the rest of her anything. Yumeiko took Miyuki's hand as she passed her, and led her back to her bedroom.

Before she started diving into specific items, this time, she did openly look Miyuki over, but it was less a roving eye and more an assessment. There was something she had to address, as well.

"... Miyuki. How do you," she paused. She had invited Miyuki to explore the ship, but that put them in a position. "To mortal eyes, we're similar, right?" Her eyes were turned aside as she pieced together what she wanted to say, before they lifted to look into the other's, "how do you want to present yourself?"

"He-Hey, wai-- Now ho-" Miyuki was pulled by her hand back into the apartment-bedroom-galley-chambers... Apparently, the Goddess did not approve of her choice of feet-things, as the woman looked as if she'd barely been able to contain a snicker that could've very easily exploded into a full, roaring, uncontrollable bout of laughter.

They returned to the bedroom once agian, and Yumeko explained the concept of the feet-wear that Miyuki had chosen. The black fox merely responded with a disinterested ' Huh...', as if it were no concern of hers whatsoever if her foot-covering attire made noise or not when she walked... This girl might actually be fine with walking around in those shoes that made the 'squeaky toy' sound whenever you took a step... Nightmare fuel for sure.

Then the other part of Yumeko's speech came to the forefront. How did Miyuki want to present herself...? Present herself... Present... Oh... To the humans... And the others on the ship... Right... That was a good question... What... or how, rather, would they explain Miyuki's existence? Or what she was? OR what the purposeful and meaningful position, along with her justifiable role was?

"... Hi, I'm Miyuki. Nice to meet you?" Her head tilted to the side, blinking twice.

.. Yeah... No... That wasn't going to work, and Yumeko knew that.

While the dark fox tried to come up with a reasonable reason to no be immediately airlock-scuttled by the crew upon their meeting... Yumeko would notice Miyuki's drawer. Specifically, the bottom-most one, which was still open... And inside, if she glanced... Was what Miyuki had in terms of 'foot-things'...

... And it was even more terrifying than she could've imagined...

A apir of neon, plutonium, nuclear-green rubber boots or waders...

A pair of oversized, steel-toe-tipped combat boots that were clearly made for a man who was 6'2" tall and probably part of the military...

A pair of cowboy boots that looked as old and worn that it was difficult tos ay whether they were supposed to be brown or grey... And if they were 100, 200 or 300 years old...

Another pair of flip-flops, with a gaudy leopard print... And cutesty red ribbons ontop...

And, a pair of sneakers... That torn shoelaces, holes in the soles and were scuffed pretty mcuh on every single side...

... it was clear these weren't things Miyuki had picked out for hesrself, but most likely donations given by her trade partners in the past...

Yumeiko nodded softly, hearing that Miyuki didn't seem quite prepared to present herself as something other than terrifying.

The explanation about flip-flops hadn't been important, anyway. What was more important was the horrifying collection of oddities that Miyuki had collected in her bottom drawer of feet-things. A deep breath filled her lungs and offered her a bit of mental stability before she heaved a sigh with a "right." Miyuki was not used to taking care of herself, she relied on fear to inspire her so-called trade partners to bring her things. It didn't seem like she ever made specific requests.

It was a wonder that Miyuki had a functioning wardrobe at all.

"I suppose I'll dress you, this time. Sit, please." The kimono was tiny, but... fine enough. There was a rather more egregious fashion statement in front of her, the socks and flip-flops.

With a task before her, Yumeiko was focused and professional as she knelt down before Miyuki, touching the socks on her feet and using the same sacred power she'd changed her own clothes with earlier to change Miyuki's socks for thigh-highs, and then started to cycle through footwear that matched her aesthetic.

"There are a few ways we could present you to them. You could present yourself as my servant, but," Yumeiko shook her head, "that doesn't seem like something you'd tolerate at all. We could call you my champion, but people would likely expect you to fight. You," she hummed, "have more tails, Miyuki. You could easily claim to be another Goddess. That would allow you the most freedom."

"Meep~!~"

...

There was absolutely, 100%, undenaiably, irrefutably no sounds from Miyuki after Yumeko knelt down and changed her socks in an instant. Absolutely, positively, unopposably not a single peep.

As the golden-haired faux-goddess cycled through fashionalbe foot-things for Miyuki to wear on her currently unfashionable feet, the brighter hairded fox began listing off potential options for how to introduce the darker fox to the rest of the shrine ship's crew.

At the mention of being Yumeko's servant... The darker fox gave the blonde an unamused, blank stare. No. That wasn't going to happen. When she pitched the potential of being her 'Champion', there was a slight snorting sound, as if Miyuki had to stifle a laugh. She... Really wasn't exactly 'Hero'-material... Then the third option, regarding her tails, was brought up... Miyuki looked at Yumeko for a moment, her tails flitting back and forth restlessly.

"Behold, puny mortals! For 'tis I, Miyuki no Dai-Megami! Tremble before my awesome splendor and prostrate yourselves in my presence!" ... She said all of this with an obviously exaggerated, deeper, dramatic and comedically arrogant tone of voice, raising her arms up into the air to further emphasize her own grandeur.

... A momentary pause and quiet...

... Then her arms fell back down and her face turned down from looking at the ceiling and towards Yumeko's face once more.

"... Think your followers would buy that? Because I wouldn't." She said, half-closed eyes and a smirk on her lips. "You could just tell them I'm a petty, lowly, regional demi-god that you happened to pick up in exchange for some ... Divine support... Or something..."

The very cute noise Miyuki had totally not made had not escaped the pseudo-goddess. Yes, she supposed she'd gotten a little bit up there without realizing, putting the long stockings on Miyuki, but Yumeiko controlled the thought before it could derail her.

"Maybe if you weren't so overdone about it, it could work better." Yumeiko looked up from the shoes. Miyuki had given a fuller, deific name. Was that her name, back then, or was she just making things up? Dai-Megami definitely sounded made up, but sensibilities were different, back then. She could no longer reliably remember if such a name could have ever been taken seriously. She giggled softly and shook her head, looking back to the shoes she currently had on Miyuki's feet. The flip-flops had been returned to the drawer by her power, as though they knew where to return to.

Miyuki described how she would prefer to be presented, and the golden fox studied her a moment before rising from her position before her. With a deliberate slowness, she settled herself next to the black fox on the bed. The priestess took Miyuki's hand in both of hers, enclosing it and holding it carefully, tenderly, bringing it to her lap.

She looked at the hand she held, asking it her question, "you will support me?"

Her eyes left the hand, traveled up the arm, and arrived at Miyuki's golden gaze.

Miyuki looked at Yumeko for a bit, as the golden one traced her hand up along the former's arm and then onto her face. The question was rather silly, wasn't it?

"Yes. I support you. In return, you support me."

Ah... Support in this context was perhaps not quite what Yumeko envisioned... it was possible that Miyuki viewed their relationship similar, though not perhaps exactly the same, as her former interactions with her trad partners. After all, Yumeko was providing her with board, food and, today, beauty salon-services and new clothes... And Miyuki provvided... Carrying an exerted, overworked goddess to a bed and letting her rest and recover form fatigue on her own... And... Maybe some light overwatching security detail of the msot liberal and loose sense of the words?

Miyuki had watched as Yumeko's gaze as it trailed along her arm, up her shoulder and finally came to rest on her face. Or, more specifically, her eyes. The dark fox allowed her many tails to swish and flick behind her.

"... Something on my face?" The noirette asked, a slight smile coming to her lips, as she gently tilted her head sideways.

"... Now, did you find any... Fitting foot-flops for me, or do you just want to sit here and keep my face all to yourself~?" ... Foot-flops...? Oh, she... mixed up feet-things and flip-flops...

Whatever Miyuki meant, it was a start. She smirked playfully, giving the hand in hers a gentle squeeze. "Whose support came first?" Or, at least, should take first billing? A teasing chuckle, and a thoughtful look as Miyuki questioned her stare.

"Yeah," she lied, reaching up and brushing an imaginary crumb from the other's cheek. "Just there." She pinched the imaginary thing away between her fingers.

"Yes, acutally. I thought of just the thing." Her hand touched Miyuki's leg lightly and the shoes changed again, to something resembling the flip-flop she'd chosen in shape, but to call it such would have been an insult. Reminiscent of traditional geta, blackwood and violet ropework fit to Miyuki's feet. Despite the stiff material, they way the wood had been shaped to cradle and support Miyuki's posture was both strong and comfortable.

"Do you like these?" The blonde stood and took a step or two before turning to inspect her work.

Ooh.

"I-I, uh, think that's really brought it together." The pseudo-goddess turned and opened the partition to the rest of the room, knowing she shouldn't stare too long for a number of reason. She'd been rather forward this evening, and Miyuki had been generous to indulge her. The short kimono made it a little provocative to start, but maybe she'd made it worse. Or was it better?

Anyway! "If you like it, I think we're ready to go."

Should Miyuki find herself content with the changes to her wardrobe, Yumeiko would lead them through the shrine complex, to the exterior of the shrine - it was housed within a cavity of the ship surrounding it. The sky-blue glow of Aevon formed a dome overhead, and dirt and flora greeted their footfalls. They could hear birds chirping, even - just like a slice of home. There weren't very many people at all, in the shrine. Some few shrine maidens that greeted them with reverence. The monks lived in another area of the complex on the other side.

At the edge of the dome, the footpath met with a door that would lead them into the ship proper.

"Is that so...?" Miyuki said, her voice tinged with sarcastic disbelief at Yumeko's attempt at covering up her stare. But, the darker fdx didn't seem to mind, or care, that the faux-goddess had just plucked something imaginary form her face.

Next, was the arrival of the thins that Yumeko had decided Miyuki should wear on her feet. They resembled the old, wooden things that the humans in the days long, long, long ago used to wear. Miyuki had always thought they looked incredibly uncomfortable back then, and while these were certainly more... Stylistically appealing in the visual sense, she still viewed them with a mix of skepticism and apprehension. But, chose not to complain or say anything on that end.

"They're... Fine..." She said. And, probably, judging from what was in her shoe-drawer, that was most likely the case. Miyuki didn't seem to care what feet-things she wore, as long as she wore something.

Following the golden fox out of the room and into the shrine proper, Miyuki looked around for a bit. Viewing the fake 'sky' dome above, the tshrine itself, the human priestesses.... it all felt... Nostalgic... But also, in a way, wrong. But perhaps that had more to do with her knowledge that they weren't on a mountain or hill, but floating in the vast, cold, endless emptiness of void, rather than sitting on the surface of a planet.

Still, Miyuki had no comment or notes to verbalize on the matter. Instead, she tucked her arms into each opposite sleeve of her (short and revealing) kimono, and followed Yumeko with her arms folded infront of herself, underneath her chest. To the big door.

The door.

Yumeiko took a moment, herself, to look up at the dome overhead. The life that had been brought with the shrine was real, and depended on her, as well, though it also did a lot of work to take care of itself, the way wildlife did. Some crops even grew in the garden.

The door was shockingly different to the rest of the shrine, which only became clearer as it was approached. It was made of a sleek, white metal, and it sank into the floor to open.

Beyond the white door lay a food court robbed from an old derelict shopping mall. Table and chair groupings were comfortably sparse, damaged sections of the building had been carefully cut away to leave openings to more of the sky-blue that served as the primary body of the ship. Roots formed floors and occasionally sported a small tree where the tile had previously been destroyed. "We've fixed up a kitchen or two in these old store fronts. If you can get yourself out of bed, food isn't too far."

The people in the room looked up as the door had opened. Some of them waved with various levels of excitement, some stood and saluted. The priestess offered a smile and motioned them to go back to their business. The ones the saluted were, mostly, in a uniform.

Instead of venturing into the food court, Yumeiko led the way aside. "This deck is dedicated to everyday needs. To the right, we've got the recreational center. Someone from another group is really into collecting old media, so we've actually got a nice collection of movies and games." Another metal door sank into the floor at the edge of the food court, where there had once been a doorway. On the other side of this one was a room with a much lower ceiling, though there were stairs immediately to the side, which Yumeiko pointed to, "there's more to this area those stairs."

Yumeiko slowed and halted, a thought occurring to her as she turned to face the other Fox, "you aren't hungry again, are you?"

Miyuki followed along into the... Eatery... After the door had slid into the ground and revealed the path. It looked... Strange... Then agian, the entire ship was, in a sense, strange in and of itself. But it was a particularly jarring sight to go from a traditional, far-eastern aesthetic of a shrine and temple ground, to suddenly be in a modern mall's food court. Miyuki, of course, was not familair with these 'malls', as she hadn't been - in the past - the type of lady who much interacted with human society.

Yumeko's words of a recreational ... Whatever... Was also mostly lost on the dark fox. Movies and games...? Well, she knew what the latter was, of course. Games were things htat had been around for a very long time, but judging by Yumeko's statement, these weren't the type of 'gamess' that Miyuki would've been familiar with. Most likely, they were something... Different...

As they then skirted the dining locaiton, avoiding the various humans who had either waved at, or saluted, the goddess and her companion as they entered, the pair now approached another door. one that only held a small cavity with a staircase in it... Did... Did the stairs really ened ther own, seperate room? Couldn't they just have been a part of the big eating area? Why seperate them with this sliding slab of metal taht you needed to wait for to open?

Then again, maybe it had to do with security? Yumeko's question brought Miyuki back form her internal musings.

"Hm? No. I'm fine." So, if she wanted to... She could come ehre to eat...? ... That.. Didn't seem very appealing... To eat in such an open, public space? With strangers and on-lookers everywhere? No... Eting was done in private, away from prying eyes, in a calm and relaxing space. Not this... This... Hustling, bustling, noisy place... But... She could always come ehre... And bring the food back with her... Hmmm.... Miyuki's tails swept back and forth as she contemplated these possibilities.

The recreational center could be a bit busy on the second floor, so she decided not to go up. On this floor, there were some less cacophonous machines, like air hockey. Plenty of space between them for maneuvering, watching, or just having a chat without being in the way. Upstairs was much more crowded.

"Alright." The priestess nodded and led the way to the left across the food court, the other way, to another door that sank into the floor. This time, there was a wide hallway that led to an four-way intersection. Along the edges of this intersection were little workshops and utility rooms - a tailor, a classroom, a space for childcare. "The laundry is in that storefront, over there. You can probably find some nice things in the goods dispensary, there, too."

The hallway itself was made of old starship bits buried into the wood that had grown around it. Old steel walls were interrupted by gnarled, natural wood, the ceiling had been forgone in favor of more luminescent crystal. The floor was covered in moss, and children could be seen running around, some barefoot. There was a lift nearby, as well.

There were more large doors ahead, to the right, and back toward the shrine to the left. She continued ahead, going around the shrine in the center.

The next door opened, revealing a room of living wood and sealed wood. The light in the room was relaxingly dim without making it difficult to see, there were massage chairs and refreshments available.

The scent of water and cleanliness; a bathhouse. There was even some traditional signage around, indicating for men or for women.

"There are other decks, but I think we'll stick to this one, for now. We can explore the other decks tomorrow."

"such peculiar things..."

Miyuki commented on the strange, mechanical tables and devices that the humans were .... Using...? In this 'Recreatiomal Center'. Did they relaly need to overly elaborate and omplicated, detailed and noisy things to keep themselves timulated and entertained? Granted, Miyuki could appreciate a well-carved shogi board and play-pieces as well, but a lot of these things just seemed so... Excessive?

Thankfully, they did not stay in the noisy locale for long, and instead moved on back across the eatery and into a new door. Which lead into a hallway, that had an intersection and was flanke dby many cubbies and alcoves where other things were... This was starting to feel less like a 'ship' and more like... Some sort of flatoing, space-traveling town or city. There were even children aboard? Was that really a good diea? To risk the youths of their home world on a floating space vessel taht may come under attack?

Miyuki observed the children running around, but not with warmth or concern. Rather, she observed them with a slightly disapproving frown. Though what exactly made the dark fox displeased was hard tos ay. Maybe she just didn't like kids? Or the fact that they were human kids? Maybe she felt that this was not a place for children to be at all? Or that they were noisyy and obnoxious? It could be anything, really, or all of it, or none of it.

Their last stop, however, seemed to a... Oh...! Miyuki knew this one! This was one of those public baths that humans used to clean themselves. The ones made in or near hot springs back home used to be one of the rare human locales taht past-Miyuki would visit on her own volition. But... For now... She didn't feel particularly stinky or dirty, and was wearing fresh, clean clothes. So, there really wasn't a need to indulge in bathing - at least not for now.

And while she did enjoy a nice soak in some hot water, she did not so much care for how long, and much effort, it took to fix her fur and hair after it got wet. After all, Miyuki did have quite the mane of long tresses. And with so many tails, it was quite the ordeal.

However,s omehting struck Miyuki as... Strange... And she looked around the, back at the intersection and the areas in the vicinity, before turning to face Yumeko.

"... These're all... Domestic facilities..." She said, trying to pick the right phase. "Isn't this meant to be a vssel for dealing with the destroyers? Why do you.... those on board... need all these extra comforts...?"

Perhaps it was strange for the lazy and comfortable Miyuki to say, but she found it odd. From her experiences, human vessels and tools made for combat were usuallyl... Far more utilitarian and pragmatic in design. They didn't have play-rooms or day-cares or big, lavish shrines and decorations... They tended to be cramped, functional and focus on what was needed and useful, rather than what was wanted or desired... But perhaps things had changed since after her... Slumber...?

Thus, Miyuki offered neither praise nor amazement at what she had seen... But rather, it almost seemed as if she was concerned or perhaps uneasy about the ship's seeming lack of... Welll.. Combat-capabilities. Granted, she was ware of Yumeko's power and her connection to the vessel, so surely it had some means of self-defense and power-projection... But... Was all this other stuff... These places... Were they really necesary? Or did they only serve to be luxurious for the followers, that added extra burdens and toll upon the already large load that this little golden fox had to bear on her slender shoulders? Miyuki looked at Yumeko.

Her expression was hard to read. But it seemed like she was... Worried?

"They are." Yumeiko did not turn to face her supporter immediately.

She had noticed the other's apprehension for all the domestic applications aboard the ship. Indeed, it wasn't the sort of thing that she would expect from a combat vessel, herself. However, she understood the position they were in.

Earth was still teetering - they hadn't recovered, yet. Scourge forces on the surface were becoming rarer and rarer, and things were improving, but the surface still wasn't a very safe or hospitable place. After she'd lifted the shrine from an unfavorable place, she'd picked up pieces of this or that looked useful.

Yumeiko spoke softly, "this ship was never intended for combat, Miyuki."

It was never really intended. It just came together.

She turned to face the other, that fact bringing forward a closely guarded fear.

Carefully, the priestess assessed her surroundings before she continued. There were too many passengers to hear.

She looked deeply into the eyes that matched her fur. She saw the worry, guarded like her own fear. She nodded softly, and then a movement to their side caught her attention, her ear perking. Yumeiko's head turned subtly, her eyes shifting more and she saw that some of the passengers had gathered in attempted stealth to get a better look at whatever was happening with their goddess and her provocative counterpart.

"Ah," she thought for a moment, quickly, of how to respond without starting some crazy rumor that she'd brought a demigoddess for a consort or something. "Shall I show you the military decks, then? And the Core Tree. We'll take the lift, back here."

Yumeiko led the way, back to the intersection, and then the lift next to the clinic. The elevator console was a simple Aevon slab from which a holo-screen popped out. The call button opened the doors immediately, to a utility elevator within. Enough space for a gurney or two, doors plenty wide enough for maneuvering wide or long things. Plenty of room for all of their tails.

The doors closed and Yumeiko sighed as the elevator began to move. "This is a support ship, Miyuki. We stay back, behind defenses, and support the fleet. I send energy for shields, fighters for defense. I don't need to fight directly."

The doors of the elevator would open to the observation room for, "the hangar bay, where we keep our compliment of fighters. You probably shouldn't go in without a suit on. If the hatch fails for whatever reason, that's just space out there. The shield might catch you, if it's still up."

This room was empty, as well, Yumeiko noted, though crewmembers walked the catwalks on the other side of the thick glass.

Ah... The picture became more clear now, inside of Miyuki's mind that was. Her thoughts had been those of worry and concern for something that had never been the case to begin with. It wans't that this Shrine Ship was meant to be the main defense and flagship to defend their home, it was that it had been made to carry and perform that role, because it needed to. An entity taht had been forced to bear a burden it was never meant to carry.

"... So similar..:" She said, thoughtfully and a bit melancholic. Though, what exactly she meant with those words was anyone's guess.

Sadly, it seemed that the pair of foxes had garnered some curious on-lookers who, horrendously, failed at being sneaky or inconspicuous... Were... Were they even trying...? Bah, humans... Always having to come around and try to look, touch or bother things that they weren't meant to see, touch or disturb... And then they threw a tantrum like an enraged child when that which they had done undoubtedly led to them suffering consequences. Such foolish creatures...

But, it seemed Yumeko was not a fan of the gathering crowd either, and quickly shifted from her 'That's enough for today' to 'Let's go look at something else!'. An... Understandable sentiment, given the situation. Miyuki too found herself strongly desiring to leave the spotlight. She'd never been the type to be particularly fond of crowds or being the center of mass attention.

They stepped onto another machine, a box with a mouth, that could apparently travle upd down... Like a bucket tied with a rope and thrown into a well, but it could pull itself up or sink back down all on its own. Such a strange, yet useful, little thing. Perhaps nto all machines were overly bothersome after all...

They arrived somewhere new, a place called a hangar', or 'the hangar'? It looked... Spacious... And there weren't many humans here. Just some milling around on metal walkways above. There was also the golden fox's words, warning Miyuki not to enter without some sort of... Suit...? And beig... Sucked out...? Space...?

Miyuki tilted her head, her tails swishing back and forth, and hee expression said somehting like: 'Wha'chu talkin'bout, Yumeko?' in the most ridiculous Gary Coleman voice you could imagine. Miyuki was, after all, a land-fox. And one that didn't interact with humans all that much - and especially not their science and technology and research... So, to her... The understanding of what space was... Or what it wasn't... Was like trying to warn a small child that they couldn't breathe underwater. The concept of zero gravity, no atmosphere, hundreds of degrees below freezing... Yeah... She knew none of that.

To Miyuki, space was just an endless night sky. So, understandably, she just looked a bit confused at Yumeko, and then nodded - taking her words to heart. For while Miyuki may not be educated, she was wise enough to know to listen when others spoke on matters that she was not familiar with.

"Is this where your warriors train?" She then asked, looking around the big, spacious area before her. Perhaps they performed excersises or group-based tactical war games in this large area?
