Account Merge Request (Checking in Again)

Basically just a repost of my other thread from 2 years ago.

Checking in again to see if there is a way my account can be merged with my original account. I would like my account to show the original join date as 10 years ago, if it is possible. However I wouldn't want my original account to be banned or deleted until this change can take place.

I don't think that is possible with the given moderation tools.

You could have this account deleted and your old account renamed though. :)

Actually, this might be possible. Dangerous since it's a hidden functionality never actually used, but possible. You open to that risk?

Dangerous in what manner? I would need to know more about that.

Dangerous in the sense that it's a buried, untested functionality. I glanced at it and it looks like it'd work, but I can't say for certain that there aren't side effects.

Goes back to 'it should,' but because it's not sanctioned functionality, I can't really guarantee anything. Think of it like a prototype that may or may not do what we want it to do.

Yeah, that's still the answer--there's no "official" account merge, just an old server function that may or may not work properly.
