Megumi was sitting in the tree outside of the school, waiting for her new leader to find her. She had her mask over her nose and mouth as she watched the wind blow by, her silver eyes sparkling in the sunlight. She felt someone get close and she looked down to see her new teammates below her and she said "Has Master Kento sent word yet to where we are meeting him?"

For the past while, both Hikari and Waru sat in the classroom, waiting for their sensei to arrive. Hikari didn't keep track of time, and Waru had passed out on his desk as soon as the room began to clear out. Neither of them knew anything about their new sensei and after some time of waiting, Hikari decided to join his other teammate who had walked outside the of the academy. He woke up Waru, with resistance from the red-eyed boy, and dragged him outside.

Upon hearing the girls voice, Hikari looked up at her and shook his head. "No. Nothing yet. He sure is late, though. I wonder what he's up to." He looked over at his other teammate, who he was currently dragging by the back of his collar. He was already half asleep, but still managed to grumble at the current situation. "I bet he's taking it slow and getting some rest. We should all do the same..."

Megumi sighed and stood up and jumped down, landing on her feet. "I guess I will have to track him down..." She closed her eyes and her shadow started to change and then shot up and moved away from them, going down the street and turning left. Megumi opened her eyes and said "Got him. His in the park. Come on, we can't lose my shadow" She took off running, knowing the pair would follow her.

Knowing that Waru wouldn't move unless forced, Hikari tightened his grip on the boy's collar and threw him in the direction that Megumi was headed. As predicted, Waru landed on his feet and grumbled some more and Hikari ran past him. Both of the boys were keeping up with Megumi, but Waru was still a bit further behind that Hikari was.

Megumi and the boys ended up in the park when her shadow linked back up with her. Their sensai was laying under a tree, asleep. Megumi sighed and walked over and said "Kento Sensai?" He opened his eyes and smiled. "I knew you would find me, Megumi. About time you got here" He jumped up and smiled. "So, this is my squad. Well, I have lunch all ready here, that way we can talk about ourselves" There was a big lunch sitting by him, even a blanket to sit on. Megumi blinked then sat down, her head tilted a bit.

When Waru found out that his sensei was sleeping under a tree, the young man growled as he sat down on the blanket and looked at the lunch before him. Hikari was a little surprised to see that the man who would be training them was laying under a tree and sleeping. He felt a little bad for waking Waru, but it needed to be done. Hikari kneeled down on the ground and sat on top of his shins, his feet pointing behind him as he did so. He could still hear Waru grumbling about the situation and "How he wasn't able to sleep, but their Sensei was."

Kento looked at the three and smiled. "You three need to lighten up a bit. I wanted to see what you three would do if I didn't show up. And Megumi did want I hoped, searched. But what I want to know is more about you three. Megumi? Why don't you start" He handed her a rice bowl and she swallowed. "I am Megumi Shade of the Shade clan...and I am learning to master Shadow Jitsu, the art of my clan..." Kento smiled and nodded. "Very nice. Alright Waru, your next. Then Hikari"

Although Waru wanted for Hikari to go before him, he wasn't going to argue with his sensei. "My name is Namake Waru. I like sleeping, eating, and thinking. I dislike people who over-exert themselves, and people who are too loud. My dream is to live a long and happy life with a family and possibly start up a clan." He spoke in a bored tone as he introduced himself. He didn't really have any dreams other than simply making it through the day, but he didn't want to been seen as a TOTAL slacker. The young man turned to Hikari, who was listening to what they all had to say. He then turned to Kento and bowed slightly. "My name is Shoku Hikari. I like to watch over the important people in my life, train to be a great Shinobi, and work on my stealth. I dislike people who think to highly of themselves, or ridicule others because of things they had no control over, and the fact that I will have to kill people in the near future. My dream is to reach Jounin before I become 25 and become the Head of the Shoku Clan." He bowed once more as he did so and looked at Kento, assuming that he would do the same. "Could we learn more of you, Kento-Sensei?"

Kento smiled and said "well then, I am niko kento. I was part of aubu squad before I asked to take on a squad. I want to protect my home and my family which is my village..." He looked at Megumi and said "and the secrets our village holds..." Megumi lowered her eyes, her hand going to her scarf and making sure she was covered. Kento said "now normally I would be giving you the test but I got word that the hokaga needs a squad to take on a mission and I happened to be in the room when he asked. So your test is how well this mission goes"

Waru was barely paying attention to his sensei's explanation of himself, and only listened in when the word test was brought up. Hikari was listening to all of it, and was curious as to why Megumi reacted the way that she did when Kento mentioned secrets. Was he talking about the fox, or something else? he wasn't sure but his attention was moved when the Hokage was mentioned, as well as a mission being their test. "If I may, Kento-Sensei, what rank is the mission? Surely nothing more than c-rank for fresh genin."

Kento smiled and said "it's a c rank mission, but I believe it will test your skills nicely. We are going to be escorting a priest back to his temple in the village of the moonbeam. It's a small village but has had some troubles lately and they need their priest back safely. We are leaving tomorrow morning so you all be sure you get a good nights rest and get all packed with everything you will need" Megumi hadn't looked up yet, just nodded.

"Getsu?" Hikari inquired. He only knew so much about the small village, and the most he knew was its name. Without another word, Waru left the trio and headed back to his home. Waru wanted to get a lot of sleeping done during the day since he knew that they would be walking and moving for most of the following day. Hikari looked at the remaining two and nodded at Megumi and Kento. "I'll see you all tomorrow then."

Kento nodded and Megumi said "yes, have a good day hikari" Megumi stood up and Kento said "hold up a moment Megumi. Mind us having a quick word?" She sighed then nodded, knowing what this was about. When they were alone Kento knelt down and rested a hand on her shoulder. "I know the secret your family hides....and I want you to know its safe with me, and that you will be as well. I know you will be a great ninja, Megumi...." Megumi smiled a little and said "I hope you are right, Kento-sensai...."

Hikari was walking away from the group, but stopped as he heard Kento speaking up to Megumi. It wasn't really one to listen in on things, but he was curious, so he stayed just close enough to where he could hear them. A secret? "Possible like some sort of clan secret?" Hikari thought to himself as he listened to his teammate and Sensei talk to each other. When the conversation, the young boy quickly used his Transformation technique to stay away from them. It wasn't like the regular academy technique, but a far more advanced one that actually changed them into someone else. Of course it drained a lot of Chakra to use, but he could stay that way for a while until he wanted to transform back. He transformed into a rather generic and common person as he hid into a nearby group of people.

Kento sighed and said "you don't need to fear the power within you, Megumi....you just need to learn control. I know what your going thru and I will train you and teach how to control that power...believe in your squad and yourself and I know everything will be alright..." Megumi smiled slightly and nodded. Kento nodded and patted her shoulder and stood. " you better get home, we have a long trip tomorrow" he jumped into the trees and vanished, Megumi sighing and sitting back down, covering her face

In his transformation, Hiakri had noticed that Megui was sitting by herself with her face in her hands. He wondered what was wrong with her, but was unsure about how to approach her about it, if at all. He slowly moved closer to her and looked at her calmly. His transformation was that of one of the members of his clan, keeping the clan-specific dark orange hair and slightly red-orange eyes, but he appeared much older, possibly in his late twenties. "Hey, you alright?" He asked in his deeper tone of voice, slowly and carefully inching over towards his team mate.

Megumi looked and said "yes...just lost I guess...I have my first mission tomorrow...and I'm scared..." She rested her chin on her knees and added "I don't want to let my team down...."

"Tomorrow?" The man asked, looking at her curiously. "But didn't most of you only graduate yesterday? You should probably do a few team exercises before you head on a mission, but if your sensei trusts that you could do it, then who am I to judge?" He smiled a little at Megumi and knelt down to be at face level. "I'm sure that you'll be fine with your team. Hopefully you get a mission that is around here. I heard some guy from Mist came over looking for some escorts and nin to help out with something back in his own country."

She nodded and said "that's our mission....to get the priest back to his temple and to help his village..." She wiped her eyes and said "I just don't want to get anyone hurt....and I hope I'm really ready for this..."

"Oh? That guy from Getsugakure? That's quite a walk from Fire country, but I'm sure that you'll be fine." He smiled at her again and took a step away from her. "Well, I'll be going now. I need to talk to .. My cousin. He just got assigned to a team, and I'm running a bit behind. I'll see you!" He began to walk away and joined his hands together, preparing to transform back as soon as he escaped from her sight.
