*takes the large chalkboard out, puts on the white coat and gets out 17 pieces of chalk*
"Ok class, it's very simple. Sam has the ability to project a field of "hole" and let solid mass fall through it, while it appears out of another hole. As such, this second hole can appear anywhere, carrying said mass to another location, as given. So thus, to succeed, he simply opens one below his target, let the target fall in, and then open one above it, leading to perpetual falling, until either the target surrenders, or your run out of juice to project....of course you could shut off the bottom hole...and it gets messy...."

I don't know I think the danger room is about the size of a football field but I have no idea how much of that they would use as an Arran. I would think they would give them plenty of space
