"Exactly?" He asked rhetorically as he sighed and did his best to remember what he had seen going on. "You were in a pretty heated fight with Bolt when I got there with Scarlet. I walked in and tried to help you, but Bolt aimed a strike at me and you took the hit instead of me...." He sighed once more and looked at her with a sad smile. "You really worried all of us, Maggs. I would have been fine if I got hit... Even if I wasn't, you have people that need you. They can't risk losing you."

Wolf rubbed her neck and said "I'm protective...I always have been. I don't like others take hits I can take instead..." Moving again, pain ran thru her back and she gasped, falling onto her back again

Hawking sat in his seat and looked at her calmly as she gasped in pain again. He knew that she would be fine, and he didn't really see any reason to rush right next to her. He smiled a little bit at her after the pain seemed to have calmed down some. "You should focus on protecting your crew before protecting someone that you just met.. I thank you for taking the hit, but I just don't think that you should have done it for me. In all honesty I have a hard time believing that you would trust me as quickly as you did."

Wolf cursed softly, then leaned against the wall again and said "I'm sure the others told you the fruit powers I hold...I can control life energy. But I also see life energy, auras most people call them. When I saw you once my energies were going again, I knew I could trust you. Auras can't lie. Not to me"

Hawking somewhat understood what she was talking about. he had a similar ability with his own fruit, and nodded in understanding to her. "I know what you mean." He looked down at the ground and looked at one of the shadows, smiling lightly as he looked back up at his friend. "The shadows have a lot to say about their owners. Some more than others, but if I listen well enough I can learn at least a few things..." He looked down at the ground again and made a face of slight discomfort. "Your shadow though... It's weird... Jack.. I'm assuming that he had some influence on you, making his betrayal even worse than it was."

Wolf sighed and nodded. "He was the first to join the crew...it really was his idea. He joined up when my dad was captain. Then when dad went missing he pushed me to take his place....he sort of pushed the real me out of my shell. When he turned on us....it wasn't easy for me to take. What esker does my shadow say?"

Hawking sat quietly for a moment before sighing once more and shrugging. "I'm not sure. There's a lot going on all at once, and it's hard to piece things together when it's all jumbled up into one big messy pile of thoughts.. I do see one thing though, and I'm pretty sure that I don't need to consult the shadows to figure it out." He looked back up at her with a calm and even look on his face. "You just want things to go back to the way that they were. Before everything went south. Am I right?"

Hawking nodded sharply as he quickly got up from his chair and rushed out of the room. It was later in the day with more shadows, he simply could have hopped into the darkness and appeared at the bar, but it was still too bright out for his powers to be used at their fullest. In record time, Hawking made it back to the bar and looked around for Dante, finding him easily and looking at him with a gravely serious expression. "It's Maggs. Somethings happening to her and she told me to get you. She said 'it's acting up again'."

Dante looked up and cursed, jumping up and running by him. His drink went flying as he went into the room and shut the door. Scarlet looked worried and said "will she ever get a break...isn't jack turning on us enough..." They heard cries of pain and scarlet flinched.

"What's going on? What's acting up?" He looked at Scarlet both curiously and with worry, glancing at the door that Dante rushed out of not moments before. He would have looked down at her shadow to find the answer, but the only reason he talked to Maggs' shadow was for a demonstration of what he could do. He wasn't going to use it with permission from the owner of the shadow.

Scarlet wrapped her arms around herself as she said "jack stabbed her in the back with some gem stone...it messes with her energy flow and aura...and sometimes it causes attacks like..." They heard another cry and scarlet said "this..."

"Did it break and fragment into her body?" He asked her. "That would be the only possible way that I think something like this could happen... It not, I think we should reassemble your crew and find some sort of cure for this." He wished that he could help her in some way, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to do that at the current moment, so he was planning ahead.

Scarlet shook her head and said " Dante never told us...there wasn't time..." Then they heard a crash and a thud. Scarlet jumped over the bar and ran to the door for it to open and Dante stumble out, holding his head. "I wouldn't...go in...there..." He fell forward

Scarlet caught him, seeing the bump on his head. "His out cold....boss?" She kicked the door open to see wolf on the floor, breathing hard and covered in sweat. She looked up and said "all...clear...," then she fell fully to the floor

"Maggs!" Hawking called out to the woman on the floor, rushing to her side and slowly picking her up and dragging her back to the bed. He didn't want to use her shadow without permission, but he needed to know what happened. Once he got her back onto the bed, he sat back down on the chair and looked at the ground, consulting her shadow to find out what exactly happened.

Her powers had snapped and caused a surge, sending Dante flying. Scarlet was trying to bring him around, laying him on his back. "Dante? Dante can you hear me?" Wolf opened her eyes and said "hawk..."

As soon as he got the information, he relayed it to Scarlet to fill her in, telling her everything that he was told. He then turned back to Wolf and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Just relax Maggs." He spoke softly and calmly.

She nodded weakly and closed her eyes. Dante moaned and opened his eyes. "Scar...I don't want to hear it..." Scarlet sighed with relief and nodded to hawk. Dante sat up and looked into the room. "Check her pulse and breathing..."
