Intro

"Your world... Grahnt is dying... The Elder passed on, and you lack guidance. No matter your age, you lack the wisdom to build on your dying world. You bare witness to crops fading, the grass turning grey, the oceans by your beach slowing down with it's tides. The air by you is becoming bitter... yet you see a door in a cave. Out of the cave, you feel and smell... fresh, clean air? Perhaps you have found salvation? Perhaps you found damnation? But anywhere is better then the ignorance to do nothing as your world around you dies... Walk forth... Choose one of the two doors."

Small info to intro

Basically the person who took care of the characters you are making pretty much lived in leisure. Since The Elder Died, the world is deteriorating. Upon finding doors as said in he mini intro there, you pretty much get two worlds to go to.
So I bet you're wondering how things are going to work with the class and morality system, right? Normally, people look at the word "class" when applied to a character and thinks that this limits what they can do, like how a knight gets easily blasted by magic or a wizard that goes down in a single swing of the sword. This is the complete opposite of true here. Instead it's more of a "specialty", with a player having access to anything they can think if they combine their options just right. But in exchange for power comes missed opportunities. By picking certain specialties, you're missing out from others, kind of like a skill tree. Infinite potential, yet a controlled result. All will be explained below in...

The class system allows a player flexibility with choosing their abilities instead of being locked down to just one decision. Three classic (or more modern, whatever you fancy, as long as I accept it and you can reasonably work it in) RPG classes will be combined into one class with benefits of all three! Here's a quick example of how it looks.

Class Fusion
1.) White Mage. A White Mage is a master of magic beneficial to friends and allies, one able to heal and protect. They can cast curing chants or protective magical barriers on fellow party members. They're usually known as symbols of good and bring aid wherever they go.
2.) Arcanist. An Arcanist is a summoner of sorts, able to conjure up familiars from the ether to do their bidding. These summoned beings can vary wildly, from elemental spirits to ghostly animals to angels and demons of varying strengths and powers.
3.) Monk. A Monk is a powerful close-quarters fighter, preferring to use their own bodies as weapons instead of swords or sorcery. They have heightened physical abilities and agility, although a punch doesn't hurt as much as an axe might.

Special skills can be mixed between the classes, having access to a number of abilities that each of the three classes combined. But here's the catch. You're character must create this class based on tiers you assign to each, and a lower tier class used in the Class Fusion won't have access to higher tier skills of that specific class. I'll go into detail in...

The Class Tier System
1.)High Tier. This will be the first class you list, and is the one your character is most proficient in. They will be particularly skilled in using the abilities and specialties of the class within this tier, as well as having access to the highest level abilities. An example of this would be a Black Mage casting Meteor or Ultima, or a White Mage casting Holy or Full Life. Using Kingdom Hearts as an example, this would be Sora's Trinity Limit.

2.)Mid Tier. The second class you list. A character will be proficient in this area as well, but nothing special. A character will be skilled with a Mid Tier class, but won't stand out in its practice. Something they're good at, but not great at like the High Tier. An example of this would be a Red Mage's ability to both attack and use magic, but not do as much damage as a Fighter or Wizard in either situation. This would be comparable to Sora's Strike Raid, something good to use but not the be all end all.

3.)Low Tier. The third and final class. Your character might dabble in this, but definitely won't be as good as someone who specializes in it. They'll be competent, definitely not that bad, but you couldn't call it good. You might call it decent or okay. An example of this would be a Dragoon's speed, better than a Knight's, but not as good as anyone else. When stacked up to Kingdom Hearts again, this would be Sora's Scan ability. Nice to have, but you won't be relying on it.

A result of the example used with this system would be a powerful White Mage who could summon a familiar of average strength to do battle with the ability to defend themselves with a staff or dodge if they had to, but wouldn't be an expert at it. See how they mix? As an alternative, you can have Trainer as one of your classes, which means that you will be able to utilize Pokemon. By choosing to use the Trainer class, whichever Tier you place it will disqualify you for any lower Tier. A Trainer as a High Tier class will have no other classes and abilities, but will be able to use a maximum of 6 Pokemon. Mid Tier Trainers will have their High Tier class avialable, but no Low Tier class, and can use up to 4 Pokemon. Low Tier Trainers can only use 2 Pokemon but keep their other classes.

Just one thing, though: you'll have to work for your class. Since we'll be starting out fresh in Eorza, you'll eventually pick up some skills there by traveling the land, meeting people who can teach you skills, meeting with guilds, or just good old fashioned experience. If you hang out with swordsmen all day you're not going to come back slinging spells, after all. You'll pick up on your classes based on what you choose to seek out and be experienced to and take the opportunity to learn. Fighters gotta train, Wizards gotta study. Trainers gotta train. (To be the best there ever was at that.)

The next area we'll be visiting will be either the Kalos or Sinnoh regions of the Pokemon universe. Depending on popular opinion and what I come up with, it's a possibility that the players will get to choose. But I may just say the Sinnoh Region due to it being the only Region I've played through. This is for people who may not be as physically capable, or lacks the ability to control magic.

Without further ado, below you'll find the...

Name: Lyall Vanderbrim
Nickname: Ly
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Battle Occupation: Unnamed
Class Fusion:
1.) Warrior
2.) Berserker
3.) Black Mage
Non-Battle Occupation: Farmhand

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 123 Ibs.
Distinctive Proportions: Nothing that is noteworthy.
Frame: Thin
Description of looks: Lyall is a light complected young man with ear-length blond hair that is of a fleecy texture. He emits a cheerful, delightful, although somewhat gullible glow with his signature cheesy grin and bright, golden brown eyes. His stature is fairly slim, usually considered scrawny by those who carry more weight but it allows him excess mobility as he is able to move fairly quickly and acrobatically. He is of somewhat average height, he is neither impressively tall nor short. Having not hailed from particularly wealthy roots, Lyall wears simple attire comprising of brown slacks, a long sleeve white shirt covered by a green vest, and black shoes. He carries his short sword along his right hip while he keeps his unconventional secondary weapon of choice, a sickle, ordinarily used as a farming tool, strapped to his back via rope.

Main Weapon: Short sword
Sub Weapon: Sickle

Type of Artes: Sword Arts & Black Magic
Fighting Style: Lyall utilizes a reckless fighting style that makes very little usage of strategy and centralizes brawn. He focuses on overpowering weaker foes while attempting to match stronger ones in raw power so he won't be defeated. He neglects defense as he prefers aggressiveness over any passive tactics. He can quickly consume his energy if not careful and may even at times accidentally damage himself. The primary benefit of his style is his ability to overwhelm opponents with chained attacks. However, such back-to-back attacks usually require extensive cool downs that leave him vulnerable.

Physical Weaknesses: Lyall is a poor defender in contrast to his primarily offensive oriented skill set.
Physical Strengths: Lyall possesses high physical strength and is agile.
Personal Weaknesses: Due to his lack of experience in the outside world, Lyall is naive in that he believes that every obstacle can be overcome. He also thinks that what happens to others cannot happen to him because he believes in himself a little too much. Therefore, Lyall's biggest weakness is his ego as his abundance of confidence can cause him to overlook reality, trapping him in a fallacy of optimism. He is likely to take actions that are risky, selfish, and ultimately costly due to his impulsive and often inconsiderate decision making.
Personal Strengths: Lyall is a hard worker and is consistent. Whenever he devotes himself to a particular cause, he will do everything in his power to see his ambitions come to light. He is also brave, finding that most of his fears can be tuned out by focusing on prevailing. His biggest plus is his large sense of justice which he strictly sticks to. He is compassionate in that he wishes to see others live well and is unlikely to forgive those who do severe wrong. While it may be viewed as a weakness in that he may overload himself with promises, Lyall doesn't exactly know how to say no to those he wishes to stay on positive terms with. He will by no means suck up to anyone but he will do whatever he can to make sure his allies are comfortable.

Perks:

  • Adrenaline Burst: When health is running low, Lyall's physical strength boosts. However, he is rendered unable to use magic and cannot switch weapons. If his health is restored, then he reverts to his prior condition.

  • Devotion: If deciding to take a hit for an ally, Lyall's endurance will temporarily raise to do so. It reverts back to its normal stage immediately afterwards. Can only be used once a battle.

Elemental Resistances: N/A

Name: Yuri Maxim
Nickname(Optional): Maxi
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Battle Occupation: Creature Observer
Class Fusion: All the classes you have borrowed from, as well as what tier they are.
1.) Summoner
2.) Blue Mage
3.) Beast Master
Non-Battle Occupation: Professor

Height: 6"2
Weight: 120 lbs.
Distinctive Proportions: Slightly larger forehead.
Frame: Masculine
Description of looks: He has medium length black hair. He has white, square-framed glasses over his brown eyes. There are some signs of aging in the form of wrinkles around his cheeks, but they are faint. He also has bags under his eyes, though whether they're hereditary or a result of many sleepless nights is up in the air. He is never seen without his signature white labcoat, though every other article of clothing he changes, so one day he could be wearing a red shirt, and other days he's wearing a blue shirt. It's just his labcoat that stays the same. He has a sickly stature to him that makes it look like his back has given him a massive sore.

Main Weapon (Required): A simple pistol whenever his monsters can't do the dirty work. It comes in two types of bullets: Normal and Stun.
Sub Weapon (Optional): A whip that can wrap itself around creatures for capture.

Type of Artes: Summoner
Fighting Style: Yuri never is one for fighting, instead summoning the monsters he summons to do his dirty work. In the times he can't summon them, he pulls out his pistol to fight, shooting from afar, as well as using the abilities he learned from the monsters he studied. He can also use this pistol to stun other creatures and capture them with his whip.

Physical Weaknesses: Yuri is at best a professor, and can't expect to fight to save his life. He's pretty fragile in battle.
Physical Strengths: He's pretty quick on his feet and can run pretty well for someone who looks like he's ready to collapse at any given moment.
Personal Weaknesses: Yuri always admires the potential that the Darkness can provide for him, and thus is very easy to give into the temptations of using dark powers, especially with him using monsters.
Personal Strengths: His wits of what monster is good for what situation makes him a cunning strategist in battle, provided he's not directly in the heat of things.

Perks:
  • Creature Control: Yuri is able to control up to three monsters at a time. If he summons any more monsters after three, he either has to return one of the monsters or release control of it. The latter has the risk of the monster turning on Yuri.

  • Speeding Along: If his health is low, Yuri's speed boosts in trade for lowered accuracy. If his health is restored, he goes back to his prior condition.

  • Elemental Immunity(Can only be applied by certain gear): Eventually you might be granted items that will give you resistances to certain elements. But not at the start of the RP! ...so leave this blank for now.
Elemental Resistances: Only applies to Pokemon or summons.

Limit Breaker: Monster Burst: Upon activating the Limit Break, Yuri converts whatever monsters he's summoned into special bullets for him to fire. The monsters he use will determine the kind of bullets fired. For example, converting a Snowlem into a bullet will result in a freezing blast, while converting a Pikachu into a bullet would result in a Thundershock-style shot. The monsters are dispelled after conversion, waiting to be summoned again after the battle is done.
