Jacob looked over his shoulder, "nah I'm wide awake now so it would be hard for me to go back to sleep." He sat on one of the recliners, "you might think its cruel, but it's just funny seeing you react to it Ellie." A smile spread across his face.

Jacob thought, "when I was on the feild you put your hand on my chest pressing me against the wall and motioned me to stay quiet that's how I fell for you why because you weren't like the other girls I met who just expected men to keep them safe."

Elliot shook her head again and sat down on the couch, "Cruel."

She leaned back and looked down the hall where the rest were sleeping. They'd have to whisper to avoid waking them. She looked back to Jacob, "So... Are you actually going to teach me to shoot tomorrow?"

Elliot smiled at him, "Well, I couldn't exactly rely on you. You climbed out of moving vehicles. Someone had to protect you from yourself."

Jacob looked at her, "you really think I would teach you how to aim and handle a gun and not teach you how to shoot? I am going to teach you how to shoot just not now I don't think Kyle would be happy if he woke up to guns shooting." He laughed, "I don't think it's cruel."

Jacob laughed, "but I like putting myself in danger Ellie." He joked, he shifted his weight again but this time he made sure she didn't have to move for him to.

Elliot shrugged, "You never know. Some people like having that control... Teaching but not teaching everything so that the person still relies on them," She smirked at him, "And I don't know you that well to know that you wouldn't do that," She laughed a little, "And it is."

Elliot shook her head, "Do you like putting yourself in danger or...." She smiled softly, "Having nurse you back to health when you get hurt?" She was proud that she remember that. She used to work in the medical wing a lot... Which surprised her. She looked at him, he was a repeat customer to those beds, "I used to be the only person that ever worked on you... Even if I had someone else... You'd wait..." She laughed, "Why?"

Jacob shook his head, "it doesn't matter if I teach you or not it's more like a defense class to me to be taught something you could defend yourself with." He closed his eyes leaning back in the chair, "and it is not cruel I just don't feel like using your first name just thought on shortening it is all Ellie."

Jacob smiled at that, "because I didn't like very many people touching me, it was an old habit I couldn't break and I only trusted you on touching me getting me back on my feet after ward."

Elliot laughed quietly and looked at him, "But then I wouldn't need you. I could up and leave if I so choose. You are going to risk that?" she teased, "I could leave to escape you calling me Ellie."

Elliot smiled at him and sat up on his stomach, massaging his chest, "And that had nothing at all to do with your little crush on me?" She joked. She used to do this a lot. Sit on his stomach and massage his chest and shoulders. She didn't know why or when... but she did. She assumed when they were alone and most likely on a bed.... She looked at him, "Why did you trust me?"

Jacob shrugged, "ok so you might do that, but I know your sister wouldn't leave Marcy an I know you won't leave her Marcus won't leave me and Kyle to fight on our own so it doesn't quite work that way." He looked at the ceiling as he said those words.

Jacob laughed, "ok maybe a little." He looked up at her, "you saved my life countless times wouldn't leave my side when I said you had to and you kept by me through the tough times we went through."

Elliot cocked an eyebrow, "That can go the other way to you know. Savannah isn't going to let her sixteen year old sister go off on her own and Marcus isn't going to let his wife and sister-in-law leave without him.... If I left, they'd follow," She smirked, "Besides, Marcus knows you and Kyle are capable. He's going to follow who needs the protecting," She smiled, "If I really wanted to, I could leave you behind," She stuck out her tongue at him before pulled her legs close to her and resting her chin on them.

Elliot laughed, "I thought so," She looked down at him, "Well, I couldn't exactly leave you now could I? We... started this together... We are going to stay that way," She lowered down and kissed him again, "I always liked you... That's why I never really tired to make you stop calling me Ellie... I liked it..."

Jacob shrugged, "I know that too, but I already know people are going to seek refuge which there isn't much around here." He got up stretched, "either or I don't really care Ellie. As long as me and my brother stay together you can go leave if you want, but what happens when you run out of ammo right now I'm the one who has the ammo for the guns and I don't see that many gun stores in the city by the time today's over all the ammo and guns from the gun stores will be gone."

Jacob smiled at that, "you threatened you would leave once I taught you how to shoot a gun but you didn't leave me or my brother on our own why?"

Elliot stuck her tongue out and crossed her arms, "I'd probably be better off. We'd run out of ammo sooner... it'd be more likely that we manage to find some."

She rested her head on the back of the couch, staring at the ceiling, "But we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there."

Elliot closed her eyes, trying to remember why it was that she had stayed with them. She rubbed the bridge of her nose, "I... I don't think I ever meant it... I was safer with you and Kyle any ways..." she looked at him, "Besides, like I said... I already kind of like you."

Jacob shook his head and sighed, the others soon woke up. Kyle came into the living room, "how long have you been up?" Jacob shrugged, "maybe a few hours I don't know, I need to get some fresh air preferably alone." He got up and opened the front door, sitting down on the bed of the truck thinking.

Jacob nodded, "alright then....because you sounded like you and the others would leave me and Kyle on out own by the tone of your voice Ellie now I'm wondering how many times did you picture me kissing you."

Elliot looked at him when he said that he was getting some fresh air and added that he preferred to be alone. She looked down, not knowing how to take it. She was still tired, after being woken up. When Savannah and Marcus came out, she looked at him, "I'm going to go sleep in your bed... Jacob woke me up... Still kind of tired..."

She walked down the hall and into the bedroom. She climbed him into the bed and pulled her blanket around herself tightly and closed her eyes, trying to get back to bed.

Elliot laughed and shook her head, "Can't tell you... I don't remember.... You on the other hand," She grinned, "How often did you think about kissing me when you had your little crush on me?" She laughed, lying down, completely on top of him.

Jacob laughed maybe at least 7 times that was about it," he rolled over onto his side. He saw the pillow and grabbed it, holding it tightly in his arms knowing that Elliot couldn't get it out of his grip. As he rolled over onto his stomach holding the pillow.

Elliot yelped when he rolled over, dislodging her and grabbing his pillow. She looked at him as he rolled over with it and placed it under himself. Elliot pouted, "And here I thought we were having a nice conversation."

She sat up and climbed out of the bed, "Fine..." she said, "I'll leave you and your pillow be."

She walked to her dresser and opened it. Finding a few shirts, she stripped off the one she was wearing and rummaged through them for a clean one.

Jacob laughed, he knew that would work. He got up, and turned Elliot around. He kissed her, his hand roaming down to her waist, as he lifted her off the floor. As he kissed her, one hand went into her hair as he kissed her.

Elliot jumped when Jacob turned her around and captured her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he lifted her off her feet. She rose her legs and wrapped them around his waist as his hand found her hair. She pulled away, she hanging off of him and smiled at him, "Do you think I can put a shirt on before someone comes in and sees me shirtless?"

She laughed and ran a hand through her hair.

Jacob laughed, he put her down, "yah that would be good don't want people to get the wrong idea here," he walked back to the bed and sat on the edge of it. A few bullet wounds were visible in the light of the room, other wise they couldn't be seen any where else.

Elliot lowered to the ground and turned around, grabbing a shirt out of her drawer. Pulling it quickly over her head, she walked back over to the bed. She climbed onto his lap. She was about to kiss him again when she noticed the wounds. Her eyes widened as she leaned over and looked at it, "Jacob! Why didn't you tell me that you got shot! These could be infected... and you shouldn't have even thought about carrying me."

She ran her hand through her hair and climbed off him, "Come on, we got to get you to the medical wing..." she crossed her arms and smirked, "You ruined it."

Elliot walked over to the closet and grabbed the bag. She bit her lip, did she remember how to do it? She walked over to him and placed the bag down, "You still ruined it," she looked at him as she grabbed the small tongs she had for fishing out bullets and an alcohol rag, "The passion that is... I wouldn't have minded continuing on the bed," she smirked before rubbing his wound with the alcohol and cleaning it.

She stuck the tongs in him and fished out the bullet. When she got it, she made sure that it was still in one piece before checking on the second. When she finished her things into her bag and brought it back to the closet.
