I hope you've watched Rosario + Vampire, if you havn't here's a rundown of what you need to know, if you have, skip the next paragraph:
There's a school full of monsters from ledgened (Vampires, Ware-wolfs, Witches, Fire Demons, Zombies, to name but a few). and they can either take on a monster form. or take on a human form, the idea of this school is to help them integrate in to human society without getting spotted and killed. Deviating from the point of this RP a little the Anime's plot is basically a human kid gets mistakenly taken to the school ect. back on to point. This rp will be focused around the monsters mostly. in the anime there are two types of monster, Normal class, and S class, or 'Super' class.
The idea of the RP is simple, everyone will have a monster and they'll have to get through school. However due to fights breaking out there is now a judged, ruled, and controlled combative tournament, victory through any means is legal, weather it be knocking your opponent out, or charming them in to submission.
Now due to the wide veriation in monster skills and powers I'm going to stratify monsters in to four tears.
T; Typical, this is your basic monster, They have two forms, Human, and Monster, this monster, while being the weakest over all has the strongest human form, able to use most (if not all) of their powers.
A; Advanced, This is more of a bridging step between T and S class monsters, these monsters have three forms, Human, Normal Monster and Advanced Monster, in human form they have access to the basic powers of their race, for instance a fire demon could control flame, no more. (not create). in his Normal Monster form he'd be able to create, control, and treat flame as his personal play toy. In his advanced form he could call upon specific fire, such as hell fire, or fire so hot it burnt white.
S; Super, these monsters have only two forms, Human and Monster, however, these monster forms are sealed in some way or another, they are only accessible through a specific set of circumstances, say a full moon for a werewolf, or the breaking of a rosary for a vampire. There human forms are quite weak, they still have normal monster strength and endurance but no specific abilites bar the special atribute, IE a vampire could drain blood, or a werewolf would have a very sensitive nose.
L; The Legendary class. this is a class reserved for very specific monsters, While, like most monsters they have a Human and Monster form, they hold powers unlike any other, comparable to creatures of legend, Baal would be one example, Greater Dragons would fall under this category. there is however, a catch, while in human form the hold only one power, and it is the same for all of them, a controllable Aura linked directly to their Monster form. for instance Baal would have a aura of pure hatred and fear. they also appear like normal humans, along with the weakness and lack of stamina (against a normal monster). they also may not enter their monster form unless upon the verge of death or being knocked out ect. So yes, you have powers that match up to creatures like Death Incarnate, the Demonic incarnation of strife and fury, or whatever you so chose. but you can't use it unless your about to be knocked out or killed.
This ordering system is often refereed to as the 'tassel' grading system.
So yeah. thats the idea off the top of my head, the RP will focus around everyone dealing with the problems that come from being stuck in human form and not being able to extend their powers. as well as constantly trying to best one another in the arena. There will be a limited amount of L, S and A spots, though I'm not sure what that number will be.
Sub Note. the Tassel system is not absolute, a A class monster can beat a S class monster, but it will require some degree of skill. You cannot just charge in and hope to win. though a T VS L class monster will be a complicated affair.
