Aw, I know. All those memories from the Jedi Knight storyline in SWTOR came flooding back and I too got sad as I wrote it. But, if we know Voldon, he would've gone down in the fashion he did: stoically sacrificing himself for the good of the galaxy. Well, maybe not so stoically, but you know, he wasn't exactly the most emotive person in the world overall xD

Also, for my next post, what do you think of this:

Recovery efforts on Voss force the Champions to stay planetside for a few days. This would allow Kira and the other Elders to converge on Voss to not only meet up to discuss the damages on other planets, but discuss with the Mystics what Manus was trying to find. That'll be quite the revelation, won't it? 0_0

Once the Elders find out that Manus was trying to find Revan and the Exile...well, we should probably cross that bridge when we get there? Because then the galaxy just cracks WIDE open...as if we haven't done that already xD

I was gonna suggest that, actually. Great minds think alike I guess! XD I figured she would volunteer to be the one to do it rather than leaving it to Ari and Bol :(

Also like the idea of them meeting on Voss instead, rather than just leaving a path of destruction in their wake and all XD after that well...we've probably got a LOT of ways that could go depending on how we want it to pan out eh? Haha

Finally got a post up, sorry that it took so long! Things were manic o: I DID however get to go and see The Last Jedi, if you haven't seen it yet you TOTALLY should, it's EPIC O___O and kinda brought on a bit fo a text wall of thoughts for our next "Act" (sorry for the text wall XD but I'd love to hear your thoughts/adaptations to them as always :P)

Which leads me to some the brainstorms I had, semi-inspired by some of the epic stuff in TLJ (without giving away spoilers, I promise):
-So, presumably our duo are eventually going to go and find Revan, and to me it makes sense for the Exile to be with him as well, since it's implied she went after him at the end of KOTOR II? I'm thinking maybe they find them on some obscure planet similar to the place Luke is hiding out in in TLJ, but instead of old Jedi teachings perhaps it is a secret library of more of Renso/The True Sith's teachings that Revan/Exile have been keeping guard of after all these years

-I think we talked about the Rakata somehow being involved with more Star Forge-y type stuff as well? Perhaps the Rakata, as another ancient race, were rivals of Renso's Purebloods but were forced into submission by the Purebloods being that the Pureblood society had a lot of Force sensitives that could combat the Rakata's advanced technology and prevent them voyaging out into the known galaxy, but now that Renso (the last living Pureblood(?) is dead, there's nothing to "stop" the Rakata and their advanced tech from squashing EVERYTHING in the known galaxy (except of course...those who are well-versed in Renso's balanced Force techniques i.e. Revan, Exile, Ari and Bol specifically?) Therefore they have to team up with them in order for them to stop the Rakata from dominating everything? XD

-As a side-note to the above, in a similar fashion to Starkiller Base from TFA, perhaps the Rakata have built or are working to build, a new and improved Star Forge, and Revan and Exile and any companions we choose to have with them have been occupied trying to track down the progress and/or location of this and the Rakata leaders, and this is why they weren't present to intervene with helping stop Bracknell/Illesia/Manus and Soto?

-Also we need to discuss which "versions" of Revan and Exile we'd be going with if they're going to appear. I kinda like the idea of sticking to the canons gender-wise so male Revan and female Exile? Let me know what you think! Might also be cool to have some of the other original party members make an appearance alongside them? (within realistic reason so idk maybe Zaalbar would still be around, being a Wookiee-though he'd be a LOT older the same as the Force users) and also possibly Atton, if we're going with the female version of the Exile the RCM of KOTOR II kinda implied that he went with her if you completed the romance with him? XD

-HK-47 would also be hilarious to have around for a little bit during their interactions. I can't see him and Ari getting on, AT ALL x'D

-If our duo are going to be promoted to the rank of Masters at some point soon (I think that came up before?), it'd be kinda cool if they each got an apprentice or something to teach? :P

Hey there! Happy to hear that things went well and food was plentiful as well as delicious. We too had a lot of food! I'll be eating more of it when I go watch the Last Jedi next week. Will let you know my reaction afterward. My wife, best friend and some of my students have warned me about some drastic changes to the Star Wars canon. What say you?

There were quite a few big changes in a way, I guess...but nothing that was BAD per se...theres a lot of heavily implied Grey Jedi stuff which is pretty awesome O__O there were some frustrating/WTF moments that took a lengthy discussion between my sister and I to make sense of but overall I thought it was good and I'm excited to see where they take it with the next one xD

See, the Grey Jedi thing makes me want to copyright or trademark our stuff. Seriously. So help me if I see our characters used without our permission in a "canon" book or film...xD

Cause lets be real here: we've built an entire alternative universe BASED on the idea of the Force not being light and dark. We were doing this before Disney was! *shakes fist at "the man"*

Anywho, to your thoughts:
-Makes sense on all fronts in your first point. This would more than likely take them DEEP into Wild Space, though. Even deeper than our duo went to discover Renso. More worldbuilding it is, then! Might have to wrap up this third act and have an intermission of sorts to make sure we know where we're headed before we begin Act IV.

-Hmmm...wouldn't be interesting if there was an entire section of the galaxy taken over by the Rakata? They're an ancient race that obviously had the technological means to crush the galaxy underfoot in KOTOR, but it seemed that their efforts were thwarted somehow. Don't remember if their sudden disappearance was really explored in the Old Republic universe, but I think it would be interesting to explore.

Edit: As I finished that last sentence, I found an article on the Infinite Empire, which is exactly what I just mentioned. I'll include the link at the end of the post, but basically the Rakata took over the now Alliance controlled sector of the galaxy and made it their empire. Their creations fed on Force energy, which led to the downfall of their empire, seeing as their own machinations fed on their energies. This could totally sync up with the creation of the True Sith(or Sith, I suppose), which rebelled against the abuse of the force and created their order from the ashes of the Infinite empire. Cue Renso and the founding of organized force users.

SO, with all that said, here's what I'm thinking plot-wise for our next act for your perusal/modification:

Manus wanted to find Revan to glean knowledge of Rakatan weaponry and tactics, to essentially feed off of the energy of others(sidenote: interesting how we created the Xiis, a sentient race that did the same thing...tie that in somehow?) and strengthen his "living weapon" philosophy. The Mystics were being forced to go back in time and find Revan, which they were obviously unsuccessful in doing, but upon entering into a deeper trance enhanced by the Force energies of the Force users at the meeting you set up, which results in the Mystics claiming they saw Revan and the Exile enter a ship and fly "into a void. A void they knew would end, but offer no return." They also see a massive structure floating in space, one that "destroys life, destroys harmony and energy". The mystics believe that the separate visions are tied somehow, but can't offer specifics. This leads to scouring of records on Voss-Ka and Zinuthra, the Qyaari connecting the dots between the Star Forge and Revan. Speculation abounds about there potentially being another Star Forge and a resurgence of Rakata. While seemingly impossible, the Elders agree that investigating this vision would be worthwhile.

To your ideas, they all sound like good starting points! As far as the interlude goes, it'd make sense for them to hold some sort of memorial service for Voldon back at Zinuthra perhaps? Since he was so important to the Qyaari as a whole?

Then I guess we can connect to your other plan of them trying to decipher the Voss visions, perhaps eventually this leads to a discovery of BIG anomalies in Force energies deeper into Wild Space, that could be the result of some of the Rakatan devices from the Infinite Empire that they have been gradually rebuilding?

Maybe they end up on that old Rakatan homeworld from the Original KOTOR, which is less populated or perhaps abandoned in favour of a bigger planet, which Ago and Bol begin to explore and somehow end up being led to Revan and Exile's current location through their findings there? O.o

Definitely yes to the world building for this other planet, what sort of planet do we want to go for with this one? XD

The interlude being Voldon's funeral service would work! That would be the perfect time to introduce some new things you alluded to earlier and a potential wrinkle of my own that I'll list below:

-Voldon's death would obviously lead to a massive chasm in the Council and prompt speculation as to who would succeed him. I don't think Kira would want the position, so it could fall to either a new character we introduce(because I know we both mentioned in our previous posts about former Masters and Darths buying into the Qyaari) or we could just say that the Elders aren't looking for anyone to fill the seat, moving on with one fewer Elder than before to honor Voldon's memory. In either case...

-Your point about the duo being trained to be Elders is important to this arc, I feel, because Yerbol and Aria are the ONLY two Champions available. I think the Elders probably realize that having them in the classroom full time is nigh impossible, so I'd like for the Council to basically appoint Yerbol and Aria one Knight each as apprentices to eventually add to the Champion ranks. The Knights can accompany our duo on this excursion because, let's be honest, they'll need to get used to the risks of being a Champion in the first place xD.

-I'd like to bring back Neta as well, seeing as it would be good to have an experienced pilot to guide them once more into unknown territory. I know she'd be excited!

So, onto the plot points you bring up:
-I think the logical place to start WOULD be that weird planet Revan was on in KOTOR. Just found out the name of the planet is Rakata Prime...which means if it's named, then it can be found on a galaxy map! Guess they can scour records and find Rakata Prime mentioned in the holos? Or something else?

-I think Revan and the Exile(whose name is Meetra Surik? Did you know this? Cause I didn't until just now xD) could have visited Prime and left behind their navigation coordinates inadvertently through the material they last went through. Once our duo find the coordinates, they go DEEP into Wild Space and find...

Well, if the Rakata are rebuilding their Empire, Revan and the Exile probably wouldn't be right in the middle of it. Maybe they're hiding out on a world with violent weather patterns similar to Quensu as to avoid detection?

Hmmm, quite a bit to think about There...

- So, I kinda like the thought of both these options for different reasons D: introducing another new character who had come out of the woodwork so to speak would be a cool dynamic to play with, but at the same time I feel like certain strong personalities within the Council (Kira and Cheriss for sure!) Would protest to someone else coming in and trying to replace Voldon so quickly? Or perhaps as a middle ground bwtween both ideas, after Voldon's funeral thdy remain with the position open for a few weeks or maybe longer and then later receive contact from another Darth or Master (whichever) who then integrates themselves and ends up slipping into the role?

-I have not a lot more to say about this one other than I LIKE THIS IDEA XD Also ALL the enthusiasm for Neta reappearing, I missed her! :D YES PLEASE
Edit: as to who said Knights would be, it would be a logical choice for it to perhaps be two of their older students? Or even some youngsters from the Faceless that they managed to reform, if we wanted to introduce completely new characters? :3

- This also sounds like a good, logical course of action for the start of the next Arc. I imagine it would take a bit of digging for them to find it but it would make sense...I'm sure it was charted back into the map after Revan first came back from the Forge after all XD

Makes sense they would want to stay nearby but keep out of direct sight so to speak, wouldn't want to try taking on the entire Rakata Empire with so few forces after all! Ooo, ooohh! Maybe another underwater planet? O___o we haven't really made one of those yet....(I know they spent some time on Manaan briefly in Act I but it wasn't a lot really xD) so maybe there's an old true sith underwater/scientific facility they've been hiding out in, and the surface is super stormy and choppy ish that would throw off the Rakatan techs sensors?

I will also definitely give those links a read tomorrow when I am less of a sleep zombie xD

-Duo gets called in a few hours later by the Council and Vano(our librarian now I suppose), who can discuss initial findings
-You do some initial findings and put forth the connection between Rakata Prime and Revan
-Champions are assigned apprentices and head off (with Neta) to Rakata prime to go find evidence of the Mystics visions.
