[IC] A Hero Tale {Complete}

Jenso dodge wasn't nearly far enough, and several shards embedded themselves in his back. "You're finished," The golem said with a grimace. But just as he was about to melt the shards into Jenso to stop his vital organs, his fist was caught by Jenso's flaming hand. He tried to open his fingers, but wasn't able to. Instead, he moved his other hand forward and prepared to sink the shards into Jenso's body.

[Jensoman]

Jenso released the golem and spun around in mid-air, in order to shake the shards out of his body and to have the flames around his body flare up more violently. As he landed, he leaped into the air as a surge of power rushed through him, aiming to ram his left fist into the core on the kid's head.

The golem was released too early, and allowed to melt the shards down slightly. Jenso felt a cold sensation climb up his spine for a moment before his flaming aura overpowered it, but not before sustaining minor injuries up his entire back. "Sleep!" The golem shouted, raising his hands up as Jenso approached him. He floated above Jenso's arm just in time to dodge his fist, but was unable to avoid it entirely, losing one of his feet in the process. The disembodied foot flew across the balcony towards one of the titans and melted into the ground. The boy then landed behind jenso and spun towards him, thrusting his open hands forwards. Suddenly, the hundreds of tiny shards that spread across the battlefield all levitated up and flew towards Jenso from all sides.

[Jensoman]

Jenso spun atop his heel to face the golem as the shards came at him from all sides. Jenso kneeled low to the ground, trying to get as low as possible to avoid as many shards from hitting him. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, keeping his head low as the shards came at him.

Several of the ice shards melted before reached Jenso, but even more sunk into his back for a split second before his heat had a chance to stop them. The ice golem then rushed towards Jenso and extended his right arm into a sword. With a mighty slash, he aimed to cut right through Jenso's defense and freeze him from wherever the blade struck.

[Jensoman]

Jenso opened his arms as the golem rushed at him. He moved further to the right, attempting to move out of the way of the slash, aiming to punch at his left shoulder with his left hand.

The golem was quick to block Jenso's strike with his sword. The sword cracked, but didn't break. "Ngh!" Jenso's fist was pushed aside by the flat of the golem's blade to Jenso's left, and the golem stabbed directly for Jenso's heart, while conjuring swirling energy in his left hand.

[Jensoman]

Jenso glared at the blade as it moved at his chest. He attempted to catch the blade by it's flat side with his left hand. He tried to pull the golem closer and attempted to strike the golem's left wrist with his right hand.

Jenso felt the icy blade melt against his fingers despite cutting shallow into his hand, but his strike hit the golem's arm and shattered his hand into a million pieces. The orange core faded into sparkles, and the ice that made up his arm vanished into nothingness. the golem backed away and grunted loudly as the core in its head glowed brighter. The golems left hand unleashed a shot-gun spray of icy energy at close range as he flew back, and reeled towards his leg to repair it afterwards.

[Jensoman]

Jenso crossed his arms over his chest as the icy energy moved at him to keep him heated as he moved at the golem. Upon reaching him, he aimed a quick kick at it's remaining hand with his left foot.

The golem's burst of ice was more powerful than Jenso anticipated, but it merely left parts of his body frozen. a chunk of his left leg, left arm, and right abdomen. It slowed him down enough for the golem to float over him and launch a series of icicles down at the back of his neck from above.

[Jensoman]

Jenso looked overhead as the golem moved at him, and quickly pushed himself off the ground with his right leg, moving away further to the left in order to avoid the shards. He kneeled down quickly, focusing all of his heat in order to melt the frozen parts of his body. He glared at the golem as he did, waiting for his next move.

The golem hovered over Jenso and rose his hand above his head. "Enough!" He shouted. The blizzard that raged began to increase in severity, up until the point that hail was raining down on the entire battlefield like little stones. The hail grew bigger and bigger, bouncing off of the nearby titans and their master's body. Suddenly the temperature began to drop even more, and more. "Freeze in an endless winter!"

He was floating too high for Jenso to reach with a normal Jump. How in the world could he defeat him now? An ice shard wouldn't pierce his superior body, and he couldn't possibly make that jump. Lark's voice echoed softly in his head at this moment. It was now or never. He had to focus his raw energy.

"Arcane energy is the base of all matter and energy"

It was inside of him... He could do it...

[Jensoman]

Jenso crossed his arms as the hail began to overwhelm him. As Lark's words echoed through his mind, Jenso knew he had no choice. If he was unable to cast fire, he would be unable to beat the golem and die. He focused the best he could, trying to channel flames in his left hand. He tried to launch fire at the golem.

Jenso's arm stretched out, but nothing came. His focused flames had no form. They simple spurted from his hand like a short range flamethrower and dispersed into nothingness. "Die!" The golem shouted, aiming his hand at Jenso.

[Jensoman]

Jenso frowned as his attempt failed. 'Come on...can't I just form it into-' He thought, attempting to form the flames in his hands into a fire ball. This was it, now or never! He attempted to launch a fire ball at the golem.

[tex]

Jenso focused his fire well and launched a ball of swirling flame at the Golem, but half-way towards its target, and the boy was already prepared. "Useless!" He shouted, firing a ball of swirling cold energy from his hand at the fireball. The flames were extinguished entirely, and Jenso was now in its path. More power.. More power...

"Die!!"

[Jensoman]

Jenso channeled another fireball into his left hand, and glared at the golem. It wasn't enough. He united both hands, gathering more flames into his hands. He aimed his palms at the golem, launching a torrent of flames at him.

The torrent of flames took form half-way through the sky and whirled into a whipping inferno, churning out slush and steam as it engulfed the golem's ice blast. Its eyes widened at the massive fire ball came towards him and consumed his entire body before exploding into a giant typhoon of swirling heat.

A moment or two passed and the storm died down. The golem's half-melted body fell from the sky. Both of his arms were missing now, and his heart-core was gone as well. All that remained was his head, part of his torso, and stump where his right leg used to be. As the smoke and steam seeped into the sky, the blizzard stopped entirely, and the two titans behind him fell to pieces.

Jenso fell on one knee and took deep breaths. He got back onto his feet and glared at the remains of the golem. It was finally over. '...Paulie!' Jenso thought, and dashed back inside to see how his friend was doing.
