You're right. Don't beat yourself up over it. A ton of people think I'm older. Heck, during the first week of high school, my classmates (except for the ones that I had been friends with in middle school) thought I was older and was a sophomore, junior, and even a freakin senior. It's probably either due to the way I speak or how I look irl. I dunno. XD

In Scottish high schools, it's just 1st-6th years, or S1-S6
So, S1 (12-13) S2(13-14) S3(14-15) S4(15-16. Prelims/exams start this year. You can leave at the end of this year) S5(16-17. More exams. Again, you can leave at the end) and S6 (17-18. Reeeally hard exams. This is the end of your school life (minus college/uni))
So, I'm in S2, or 2nd year. Make sense?

Yup, makes sense to me! Basically, freshman, which is me, would be S2, sophomore would be S3, junior would be S4, and senior would be S5. At least, I think that's the age group of my high school XD

Okay, got you. Sometimes 6th years are called seniors,but most of the time it's just S6 or 6th year
