Raph was going through the map, they had them surrounded heavily. He wondered if Jackie had gotten the message, he heard the cry of his dearest bird that he had since he was a kid. The bird landing on his shoulder, he read the message a smile on his lips. "We will hold here till the reinforcements show up if they don't it has been good fighting by your side." He started giving orders out to the others pointing at where he wanted them.

Jackie rode faster and harder than she ever had the need to before, arriving in hours what would have taken half the day, arriving to the palace jumping from her horse stumbling a little. "Damn, I have to watch for that. Oops. I kinda swore. Feels liberating actually now that I think about it. Oh, ello there! I need immediate council with the king. My name is Jacqueline de Silva. Either get out of my way or help me." She said in an authoritative tone. She got a small little shiver. She enjoyed being this snappy. She then told the king everything waiting on his decision on what to do. The king nodded, and she smiles gleefully and suddenly got a little dizzy trying to keep upright by placing her hands on a mantle. Blimey she had very little to eat. No wonder she felt like fainting.

Raph and the others were breathing hard, trying to keep the enemy off the walls trying to make sure they didn't break through. He and a few other assassins had bows in there hands and were picking off the enemy pretty easily. They had gotten ladders onto the wall, that's when Raph took out his sword and started attacking them he pushed the ladder down as others came up damn they weren't going to last that much longer.

Then in the distance of Jericho, the city of assassins, rode a cavalry of men on horses. The kings men as they all helped the assassins battle with the enemy. Jackie was sitting at the table eating properly listing what had happened that day to the nurse. She rose an eyebrow when the nurse said to come with her to one that could literally heal from the inside out. How strange, but then this was a city of improbabilities these days so she might as well go. She shrugs and does so.

Raph had a smile on his face when reinforcements arrived, he kicked another guy off the wall. Cutting through the enemy's, soon he made his way to his father. They went back to back, cutting down the enemy's as they tried and rush the wall. He was still losing men, but not that many since the kings army showed up. Slowly they made the enemy retreat, "they'll be back by tonight they need to regroup and so do we."

Jackie sat in the clinic a look of wonder, fear, and most of all love written plainly on her face for the elderly lady who had checked her out. She had no words to say after receiving the shocking news. The kings men agreed with the statement that they had to regroup getting ready for when the enemy came back to fight once more. Some were repairing their weapons, others making some food, and some were getting rid of the dead bodies so that they wouldn't trip all over them.

By the end of the last battle, Raph was in a critical condition. He wasn't stable not yet, they were doing everything they could to get him in a stable condition. Still nothing worked bot yet anyway, it just seemed that he was getting worse and worse.

Jackie paced around the palace being told to at least stay for the night unable to help herself. She was worried sick for Raphael. "Come home. I need you here." She muttered pacing as her thoughts tumbled and tossed having gotten that way since knowing. The healers were doing their best for Raphael, but they thought it was like fighting a losing battle. They weren't sure if he'd survive this.

His body was fighting with everything it had left after dealing with the army, slowly though through the night he went stable. The fight his body had just given to stay alive had left him bone tired he wouldn't be up for a long while still at least he was stable that was the good thing the helpers had done was getting him stable.

Jackie sat on the bed as night fell above the hills of the kingdom and she stared listlessly at the stars from her open window praying for Raphael's safety. "I need him to come home please. Whoever is watching out for us, let him come home alive." She pleads softly sitting on the comfortable bed.

By morning, Raph was opening his eyes. Panicking for a second till his thoughts came back to him, he let out a sigh as he slowly got to his feet. He ignored the pain in his side as he got on his clothes, they said he needed rest, he wouldn't leave Jackie alone for more than he had to. He slowly knocked on the door, of Jackie place his hands in his pockets as he waited.

Henry opened the door seeing Raphael there. "Hello sir. You look bad if you pardon me sir. Jacqueline isn't here. She stayed at the palace over night. I do think it is serious if the royals had to have her over night. I don't think she'll take much longer getting home though, if you wish to wait here." He informed the man politely with a smile on his face.

And what Henry said was true. Jackie was getting her small amount of possessions she took with her together, and getting her horse ready tying her hair up once more in a pony tail. She smiles at the king and queen thanking them for their added assistance and for their hospitality, but she had to get home. She needed to know if her fiance was alright. She enjoyed saying that a bright smile on her lips as she swung up on the saddle and rode home.

Raph nodded "thank you Henry for the update yah I know I look bad, still I rather be on my feet than be in a bed for to long drives me kinda crazy after awhile if I'm not up and moving." He walked inside, he still hurt of course, but at least he was on his feet again it really didn't matter to him either way anyway.

"Well then sir, come on in. Would you like any refreshments as we wait? It'll take at least a few hours before miss Jackie comes home. If she is taking her time that is." Henry asks as he invited Jackie's fiancé inside stepping aside.

Jackie was taking her time getting home doing her best in not taxing herself this time, knowing that wasn't healthy.

Raph shook his head, "no thanks Henry but thanks for the offer though." He sat down on the couch, pain ran through him and he winced. "Maybe some pain killers Henry that would be good for me in some way takes off a bit of pain."

"Certainly sir. I will be right back with the pain killers in just a few moments." Henry said doing just that and came with the pain killers and some water to help them down.

It had taken a few hours but finally, Jackie was home sighing in relief as she swung from the horse. "Brush him down, give him some oats and water too." She said caressing the horses neck. "Thank you for carrying me boy." She murmurs in the horses ear and stretched cracking her back and walking inside. "I'm home." She calls.

"'Bout time you got here I was beginning to think you would never show," Raph teased as he got up after swallowing the pain killers. A smile on his face with his arms crossed on his chest, as he looked at her those blue eyes immediately meeting hers.

Jackie froze staring at Raph as a smile bloomed on her lips as she hugged him, having had no idea she had moved to close the small distance between them. She caresses his face tears of joy in her eyes. "You're alive." She said in a tone full of wonder and happiness.

Raph smiled, "of course I am just take it easy in bot fully healed yet." His arms slid around her waist, as he put his head on her shoulder. He was glad to be alive, and to be by Jackie side again he didn't feel quite right without Jackie beside him.

Jackie wrapped her arms around his shoulders in a hug doing her best to watch out for as he said, he wasn't quite healed yet. "I knew you were going to get hurt." She said happy to know that he was here and alright. "But thankfully you came home." She said thankful for that blessing.
