moved from general Interest Check.

So here goes the recipe for this cake, I'm gonna set up an Tournament. So, wheres the icing to vanilla Victorian?

I've been playing about with pixel art and I'm slowly getting better and better. I'm going to draw little items for you to select of 2 varieties:

The Armory!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lesser
Greater

Each section gives you items. Some can only be taken once by one person- meaning once it s taken. It's gone- some are infinite can be taken by many players at once. EG: an artifact sword can only be taken by 1 player. A revival potion could be taken by multiple.

Each item gives a curse that is unknown until it is picked that is equal to the benefit. These curses can effect how you fight or how you live (such as madness or...smelling like turnips forever)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Rules

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each player will start off as low tier humanoid. In effect, you have to be equal to an average human. You may, come from any time line and carry equipment from said time line although you will be expected to be balanced. Don't think I'm going to let you carry a rocket launcher or energy gattling gun, nor being from fantasy to have a ebon blade of soul stealing.

Don't worry. The arena won't be boxing rings or fields. They will be pocket dimension where loot can be found to use, such as an inside a pyramid, you might. Activate a trap or you might if you try to read the inscription and press the right button, open a secret room to the buried guards armory.

The "arena" themselves are deadly and while you can hide from each other or retreat, you can't leave them due to limitations or pocket dimension fuckery until you find the other player and kill the shit out of them.

Each time a player wins. They move up to the next ranking, fighting other winners. Each new ranking a new set of items appear for them to choose from.

There will be map of the area, these will only include the general proximate area (aka in the skyscraper or said pyramid) but if it is possible to open up the map or moves to a new area in this pocket dimension, new map sheets will be provided.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Role

I won't be playing as a character myself. I will be the Celestial whom judges fights, sometimes throws in shit. Creates items and declares a winner in the event that it is improbable a character will die (such as one being tricked into falling into a pit that is so deep they'll never get out)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DEATH

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When a character dies they lose all items, these items are vaporized into the great envy never to be seen again. If they are seen again they cannot be picked by the same player even if they are a new character. Primarily because this could lead to dominant game theory with looting and may lead to predictable power ups. No fun. These items may appear for other players though.

Players who have lost may make a new character to join, but they will become DARK STALKERS. Beings who hunt BOTH players in the arena and are teleported to a random location after a set number of posts have past. The only time this is not the case is when a second league is opened up in order to bring a few more players.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are you fighting for?

The reward. Those who reach the top will be rewarded something great in character. Including all the items they earned in character prior. Your character's happy ending or terrible new rule or maybe even...god hood?

Like loot, like fun. Like picking random shit and seeing your character turn green and face trials and tribulations with another who went purple.

If this will play a part in later RPs is in the air. This is more for fun right now but it's possible and there's nothing stopping you creating an RP for said character or anyone else.

SAMPLE of my novice pixel loot:

NOTE: I will expect at least 8 players but I may settle for six. I will also expect the players to be able to produce at least 2 paragraphs. This isn't for everything (you don't have to multi paragraph saying yes to someone) but a bit of descriptive ability and pose is expected.

There will be a paragraph limit in posting. Which will be 5 although like the minimal I'm ok with little push as long it remains the exception and not the rule.

I already have @tal0n and @Lordofthepies interested and @sentel will be acting as my co-judge so that I won't be a tyrant king or go crazy and try to drink dragon fire.

Fuck, you're more than welcome to duke nukem this tin can, brother. With you it's 4 players.

Ah. Like. It isn't like a traditional arena anyway. That's why I didn't put the paper in the gladiators desk. You know. If people want I might include down time lounge dimension for kindred to knock some air together when not fighting.

I'm back from the dead and hopefully I'll be able to get some thoughts up.
