cool. i look forward to starting. but i wont make the OOC until everyone is on the same page with everything. for all intents and purposes, consider OOC just as world/story-building as the IC. The OOC is our conference room where the gods discuss their plans. you dont have to talk as your characters, but try to refrain from meaningless drivel about how much you prefer South Park over Family Guy. if it has nothing to do with the story, characters, or world... dont post it. please.

as far as each post goes, it doesnt have to be more than a paragraph or so. i dont care about quantity as much as i care about quality. i know everyone says that but its kinda hard to write a well-said, highly descriptive RP post in one or two lines.

when i say advanced, i mean "are your characters realistically developing personality traits?" and "when you built this part of the world, did you consider plot points X,Y,and Z? Or did you just do it cuz it seems like a fun thing to do?" stuff like that.

I ask because the fact that you want IC stuff posted in the place reserved for OOC stuff confuses me. BTW If you want 1 thread per world and you plan on giving each Archon their own personal world, you plans will go to shambles very quickly.

you must be relatively new to RP, but its cool. there was a time when all locations had their own thread. it always worked well enough when there was a single overall story.

i will give you an example of an OOC post in my next post, or at least how i might do it.

its not really complicated and you dont even have to post like that. thats just how i may do it from time to time.

in fact, it would be fine if a player just posted:

I dont think we should make elves yet. we just created humans. i think we should focus on them...

i just want people to consider their posts in OOC more carefully than posting frivolous things that dont have anything to do with the RP, or things like "lol" or "k" or a picture of a meme. I typically dont post anything if all i have to say is lol or k. i just click on "thumbs up" or "laugh" on the post.

i also dont particularly care for battle tactics discussed in OOC unless it would realistically happen IC. also, strategy is different than tactics.

So for example, lets say that Ares the god of war has manipulated the Greeks into fighting the egyptians. The Egyptian god Ra can come into OOC and be like "hey if your soldiers take my temple, im going to blow up yours." That's fine.

but in individual skirmishes, such as between two individuals or even two small units, i would prefer if it works out organically, like it would in real life, rather than the guy playing Ares and the guy playing Ra doing this...

Captain Rolland is probably not gonna die cuz he has divine protection, but you can kill his LT.

*Leave powers and aspect blank for now.

*Appearing age can be anything; actual age is a fraction of a second (time moves differently for us; two IC posts can take a few seconds, while two OOC posts can take two days, or vice versa)

*All Archons can change their shape at will. Default appearance means what your Archon looks like in his or her natural form; the appearance the WorldWeaver gave the Archon when he made him or her. No giant tentacle monsters; must be humanoid/bipedal. must have a non-cartoon pic

*Leave powers blank for now

*Each Archon has a distinct personality; there are no overly negative vices in your Archon. Your Archon can be prone to becoming frustrated or angry, but no "anger management issues", not yet. That stuff has to be developed

i will make an official CS when i make the main thread. the only reason i havent made it yet is cuz i havent had the time, what with the other RPs I'm GMing and co-GMing and real life stuff. but hopefully today it should be up.

if you want to use the potential CS as a template, you can. the final CS probably wont be too much different anyway. you can post them here for people to look over them if you want, but you will still have to post an actual CS in the OOC thread for approval anyway. so you could potentially be posting a CS three times. but its up to you.

i personally think this is a good place to think up characters, while using the OOC for worldbuilding
