Welcome aboard the luxury star cruiser, the SS Aphrodite. It is the largest known star cruiser in existence. In fact, the only ships to match it for size are massive space tug with ore shipments. It is 4-5 times the size of a battlestar. It was built to roam the stars carrying guests to exotic destinations, much like the tour cruises of old Earth seagoing vessels. It is divided into several sections. Obviously there are crew only sections, engineering, bridge, and such. But the passengers get to know the more interesting divisions.
Aphrodite Urania - this is home to Upper and Middle income settings. If you are looking for a 5 star restaurant, this is the section to search.
Aphrodite Pandemos - this is home to the seamier sides of humanity. If you are looking for that dive of a bar, this is where to look. Classy entertainment, observation decks.
Where these two sections meet tends to be a higher crime section. No, guns are NOT for sale - or legal - aboard this ship … officially - unless you served in the Federation armed forces. Of course this doesn’t apply to the crew. Think of what you would be allowed to carry aboard cruise ship today. Their rules are similar to flying.

Characters
Yes, you will need to do up a CS. I have no specific format. But I do require a bit of detail. If you want to create a few NPC’s for all to use, please submit them to ME in a format I can copy and paste to a single post in Hiders. The ship has a population equivalent to a small colony.
You may run passengers of all sorts. So are shop, restaurants, etc.
Crew will need to be carefully approved. The owner is taken. She is really the one who has final say in hiring of crew.
You may run more than one character. But please do not create one and leave people hanging. Post ALL of your characters in a SINGLE post in the Character section.
ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMATED GIFS!!!!! (Sorry, but these are a serious problem for me.) Please use high quality pics. I am thinking passport quality, but I don't necessarily want boring photos. High quality sci fi art also works. Basically I want people to have a good idea what they see when they look at you up close and personal.
Aliens - This deserves special attention.
Human sized.
Capable of interaction. (This means you can hold a meaningful conversation.)
Not hostile. (Alien xenomorphs with molecular acid for blood? No. Klingon? Sure.)
Oxygen breathers. (Live in a human type environment.)

***Fair warning. Start trouble and you could find yourself floating in space. Oh bar fights happen all the time. But firefights and starships do not go well together. And it places the other passengers at risk. The latter is cause for being booted.

High casual to Advanced. I prefer advanced. However I do realize that conversations tend to be a bit choppier. And I do not want people waiting a week for a reply.

In the backdrop of this RP the ship will be visiting exotic interstellar locales, tourist colonies, and such. There are shuttles called Honeybees and Swans. (Each has a specific purpose. The bees are the worker shuttles. The Swans are actually rentable short range yachts that are slaved to the Aphrodite.)
One might get the impression that this is a sort of Love Boat in Space. They wouldn’t be too far off the mark. Think about it. The owner is an Emancipated Companion model synthetic - essentially the future’s idea of a blow up sex doll. Of course, she is a lot more sophisticated than that.
