I'm looking for roleplays where people from the 'real world' are transported to fictional universes they're familiar with and have to adapt to their new life, armed with plenty of meta-knowledge about the world.
For example: I wake up on the Hogwarts Express, on the way to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I'm in a physically younger body,
and have wizarding powers, but otherwise I'm unchanged. What's more, I'm not the only one, as you have also found yourself in the same situation. Cue Hogwarts adventures, slice-of-life, and the realization we might be protagonists in our very own story (or antagonists?!)
Note: My preference is to not use the canon characters established by the author of the works where possible out of respect. Only where a character needs to be in a given role will they remain. However characters can exist in the same timeline, with the canon characters making brief guest appearances later on for fun what-if scenarios.
A list of canon worlds I'd love to do this in:
- ONE PIECE
- ALIEN, TERMINATOR, PREDATOR, AVATAR -- COMBINED UNIVERSE
- THE MATRIX
- THE HUNGER GAMES
- STAR WARS (POST-JEDI, WITH FORCE AWAKENS NON-CANON)
- SITCOM WORLD (can visit various canon-world sitcom worlds, using canon characters isn't a problem here.)
- harry potter
- MY HERO ACADEMY (BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA) & DC/MARVEL ELSEWORLD BLEND (The Hero System of My Hero Academy mixed with Western Heroes and Villains)
