Saeril chuckled good-heartedly at his question, looking up at the sky, where a few birds flew by. "Flying; for me, it's freedom; a strength. Having to be above the clouds and into the headwinds, I take the air and use it. They have never faltered; not even once. I trust them", the she-elf smiled as she fondly talked about their capabilities. "Maybe one day, you can fly with me. See what I see", she offered with a gentle smile.

Meanwhile, Gandalf had headed off more towards the entrance, stopping as he thought he had stepped on something. Moving a few of the leaves out of the way he found what appeared to be an elven short sword, made for young elves who were first training to use a blade. Bending to pick the blade up off the floor he called out to the hobbit. "Bilbo, I believe I have something about your size! Use it wisely".

However, it was cut short, as Saeril looked ahead, where her elf-eyes never failed her, as she saw something coming their way. Widening her yellow-green eyes at the incoming force, she gently tightened her hold on Kili, and jumped off the branch, carefully descending slowly from the tree, and onto the ground. "Gandalf, something's coming", she informed him. "Stay together! Hurry, now! Arm yourselves!", Gandalf instructed the group, just as Saeril and Kili landed safely on the ground.

As Kili enjoyed the view, the fresh air, the beauty and the moment with his God-mother. He smiled as he listened to her talk about her gifts and flying. He then looked excited, at the thought of flying with her one day. "Really? You'd take me?" he smiled "That'd be wonderful."

He felt her stiffen beside him, and he looked concerned "What is it, Delva?" he asked. Kili held onto her, as she flew down with him...as his feet touched the ground. He kept with the group, as they rushed away from their current spot.

"I can't take this." Bilbo said, as Gandalf handed him the sword. "I've never used a sword in my life." Bilbo told Gandalf, before all the mess broke out. But young Bilbo seemed a little in a world of his own for a few moments. He examined the elvish sword. When he looked behind him, he saw everyone running off. He run off after everyone...the sword in his hands.

Loud rustling, came from the bushes. An un kept man, on a sledge led by many Hares....stopped in front of them yelling. "Thieves! Fire...Burning!"

Bilbo and the Dwarves looked at each other, then at the strange man. Clearly confused.

"Radagast!", Gandalf the Grey exclaimed in surprise, not expecting to see him here of all places. "It's Radagast the Brown!", he announced to the others, then quickly turned to face the dwarven wizard, a frown creasing his features.
"What on earth are you doing here?", it was very unusual for his reclusive friend to leave the company of animals. Something very bad must have happened that drew him out into the world.

"Dol Guldur?", Gandalf questioned him, once they were in a clearing away from the others. "But the old fortress is abandoned", he added skeptically. That fortress has been abandoned since the First Age. No power nor being would venture there. Just by hearing Radagast's story, the Grey only hoped that Saeril wasn't listening. But her Elven ears don't fail her; the Necromancer's name was hurting her mind. Even her conscious will not clear. Saeril closed her eyes, and held her head, making a silent groan, as soon as that name was said; like a swirling headache. She didn't register hearing Kili speak up, and she wasn't sure if he was even speaking to her. Lucky for her, Fili stood by him.

When a wolf was heard so close to their position, the she-elf looked about once her vision began to clear up. Something growled from the bushes near them, and a warg scout pounced out into the clearing, almost hitting Fili when his back was turned. "Look out!", the she-elf shouted and flew straight into the charging warg head-on, stabbing it with her dagger. However, two more appeared and charged.

Radegast looked at his friend Gandalf. "I was looking for you Gandalf! Something is wrong! Something is terrible wrong." he breathed out. As he tried to remember what it was...he kept raising his finger...making gasps...but it seemed like he forgot for a few moments. Bilbo and a few of the others noticed, that before he and Gandalf went else-where for a bit of privacy.
"Just give me a minute.." he then made an ooooh sound. "I had a thought! And now I lost it. It was right there...on the tip of my tongue." He then made a muffled sound "Oooh..it's not a thought at all." he stuck out his tongue slightly...a stick-insect was on it.

"The greenwood, is sick Gandalf." Radegast said to his friend. "A darkness, has fallen over it. Nothing grows anymore...at least nothing good. The air is foul...decay! The worst of the webs. Spiders...Giant Spiders...I followed their trail. It came from, Dol Guldur."

The brown wizard shook his head. "No Gandalf, It is not. A dark power dwells in there. Such, as I have never felt before." Radegast spoke "It is a shadow, of an ancient horror. One that can summon the spirits, of the dead. I saw him Gandalf...out of the darkness. The Necromancer, Has come!"

After a little moment, Radegast pulled out something from his cloak. A sword that was wrapped and handed it to Gandalf. "That is not...from the world...of the living." He told Gandalf.

Meanwhile, Kili noticed the change in his God-Mother. "Delva...Delva?" he panicked "Are you alright?" he asked. But it seemed like she didn't hear him. "Gandalf...do something!" he plead...worried for her safety.

Just then, there was a howl. Bilbo looked around "Wolf...was that a Wolf? Are there wolves out there?"
"Wolves? No, That was no wolf." Bofur said, whom took a place near Bilbo.

As soon as he said those words, the wargs leaped out. Kili loaded his arrow...shooting one that leaped out from behind Delva...killing it before it could hurt her. Thorin attacked the others, whom leaped out of nowhere...killing them with his axe.

"Wild Scouts...which means, there's an Orc Pack not far behind.." Thorin said, frustrated.
"Orc Pack?" Bilbo looked worried.

Saeril had guilt in herself once she pulled the dagger from the defeated creature; it was her fault to command Azog to attack Moria when she was under the Necromancer's control. "You're being hunted", the she-elf stated. "Someone doesn't want you reaching that mountain", she concluded at last. "We need to get out of here", Dwalin told them, already knowing that they shouldn't be standing in this spot. "We can’t; we have no ponies!", Fili pointed out once he drew out his twin warrior swords.

"Stay with your brother", Saeril suddenly told Kili as she had an idea to her mind while beginning to walk away from the group. "Where are you off to?", Fili asked his godmother in alarm. She turned her upper body to them. "I am a fae. I have some pull around here", she winked at him before taking flight, in order for them to have eyes and ears in the air.

As soon as she was flying above them at a great height, she noticed the orc getting closer to them. With anger flaring in her eyes, the mighty she-elf gave a high-piercing screech before she charged. Dive bombing in flight, she violently collided with the orc rider head-on. Unfortunately, the squeal of the orc's death caught the attention of the others who were chasing Radagast. "The Dwarf-scum are over there! After them!", Azog ordered to them in Black Speech. "Move! Run!", Gandalf shouted to his dwarven companions. "This way! Quickly!", Saeril followed while in flight as she continued to knock some orcs off course during the chase.

As the orcs got closer to the company, Gandalf suddenly emerged from behind the large rock formation. "This way, you fools!", he yelled in order to get their attention.

"I'll draw them off." Radagest offered. "Those are Gundabad Orcs...you won't outrun them." Gandalf told Radegast. "Those are rusta-bell Rabbits. I'd like to see them try." Radegast hopped back on his sledge...before his Rabbits run as far as they could...the Orc pack began to chase him.

"Come and get me!" Radegast yelled back to the Orcs, laughing as he zigged ans zagged through the rocks. Giving them a good chase...to draw them away from Thorin and his group.

As the group began to run away from the Orcs...they followed Gandalf. They had to duck a few times, behind large boulder rocks...when the Orcs run past them in view...but they kept hidden. At one point...they were hidden behind a large rock...one of the scouts with an Orc..stood on the top...looking out for the Dwarves.

Thorin and Kili shared a look, as the young Dwarf loaded his bow. Before shooting at the scout and dwarf. It seemed to attract the attention of the orcs...when the shrieks and howls from the Warg and Orc was heard. The company then began to run once more...Kili yelled out "There's more coming!"

"Kili!"Thorin yelled to his nephew "Shoot them!" Kili turned around...and loading his arrows. Before he shot the Orcs one by one...he got a few. One arrow stuck in one orc...right between the eyes. He then broke into a fast run again, running over to where Gandalf was.

Wickedly close the orcs were, Saeril used the speed of flight, and aimed for the hole her companions just jumped into. Before it could get close to Kili, who was getting close to the hole, she swooped down at great speed and aimed for the warg that was pursuing the youngest. Right as Kili and Thorin made it inside, the she-elf collided with the beast, and rolled with it into the hole. Her wings cocooned around her, she rolled down the rock; the body of the wild creature falling dead with her. Looking down at it, her luminous eyes were glowing with rage, and she bared her teeth at it. Panting to calm herself down, Saeril retracted her weapon.

Shaking her head at the energy, the she-elf's wings retracted back into her cloak. "...I'm sorry. That was intense; it's been a while since I flew that fast", Saeril apologized to the stares of the others. She had to keep herself under control before the concealed power decides to unleash itself.

Thorin stood by the large hole "Quickly! All of you...get in...all of you!" he yelled. One by one, the Dwarves and Bilbo slid down into the large hole, or cave...that Gandalf had found. Kili slide down beside his brother...gasping as Searil rolled down into the cave, with the creature. He caught a glimpse of her eyes...looking at her slightly worried.

Just then, a loud horn was heard.. And sounds of fight. A dead orc, dropped into the hole...landing beside the Warg. Thorin kneeled down, looking down at the arrow as he yanked it out. "Elves." he made a face, throwing it down on the ground.

Bilbo was trying to catch his breath. It really was an intense fight. "Are...you...do your eyes...always do that?" he asked, noticed the glowing eyes, that Saeril had.

The she-elf's eyes faded back to their natural color, dissipating their glow, just as she closed her eyes, and opened them again. Getting her breath back together, she nodded. "They do. It's a natural thing whenever I get angry or furious", she explained to the Hobbit.

Fili kept a slight distance from the she-elf until she got herself together. It's not that he was afraid or despised her, but he definitely felt intimidated at the sudden change. Saeril looked at Kili and his brother in guilt, hoping that she didn't cause too much of a disturbance within them after seeing this side of her. She got a little too carried away, and her battle anger only gave them a glimpse at her other self.

Dwalin paced some, then followed their only available route. “I cannot see where the pathway leads. Do we follow it or no?” Bofur hastily moved away from the corpses of their attackers. “Follow it, of course!”.

"I think that would be wise", Gandalf nodded in confirmation since it was the only way to go that was safe at the moment. Following the path in the tunnel, there was a waterfall with a small city in the distance; Saeril trailed behind with the brothers, but kept her distance, her cloak following her. "The Valley of Imladris. In the common tongue, it’s known by another name", Gandalf recited. "Rivendell", the she-elf butted in, as she gaped in astonishment at the great city before them. "Here lies the last homely house, east of the sea".

Bilbo just nodded quietly, as he heard her words. Not wanting to upset her with more questions, he then looked back to where Dwalin was standing.

Kili watched his God-Mother with slight caution. It wasn't that, she scared him. Just...startled him a little. He followed after Bofur and Dwalin, as everyone went one by one...as the gap between the two walls was quite thin. When they finally reached the end of the path.

Kili and Bilbo stood in awe, at the beauty of what they were seeing. The beautiful waterfall besides them, was rushing. The water smelled fresh...and clean. The city, before them. Was something remarkable...something Bilbo had never seen before.

"This was your plan all along!" Thorin said looking back at Gandalf. Looking annoyed, maybe angry. "To take us to the house of our Enemy!" He growled. "You think the Elves will help our cause? They will try and stop us!" Thorin said looking at Gandalf.

"You have no enemies here, Thorin Oakenshield", Gandalf scolded the dwarf sharply. "The only ill will to be found in this valley is that which you bring yourself! We have a map that we cannot read, Lord Elrond can help us to read it! Now, if this is to be successful, you shall leave the talking to me or Saeril, as we will need to be tactful with a small degree of charm, which it seems you dwarves certainly lack in the presence of the Fair Folk", Saeril couldn't agree less of the arguement to her mentor's point.

She did, in fact, make side glances at her godsons, still hoping they weren't being distant with her. The she-elf regretted to ever show such an expression that would twist their view of her. "I will assist you, Gandalf", she spoke up. As they entered the beautiful Elven city of Rivendell, they are met by some elves. "Mithrandir", Elrond's right hand man, Lindir, greeted to the wizard. "Ah, Lindir", the wizard returned the gesture. "We heard you had crossed into the Valley", Lindir spoke in Elvish. "I must speak with Lord Elrond" "My Lord Elrond is not here" "Not here? Where is he?", that was until the hunting horn was heard with the returning elf war party coming towards them.

Thorin's jaw clenched slightly. But he succeeded and agreed to let Gandalf do the talking. The group followed him, into the city of Rivendell. He watched quietly, as they were greeted by some Elves...and soon enough surrounded by the elvish hunting party...the elves looking at them with curiosity.

Among the Hunting party, was Elrond's youngest daughter Yavanna. A beauty of Rivendell, like her elder sister Arwen. He beautiful raven hair, fell down to her waist. She unlike some of the guards, held a more gentle; kind look towards the Dwarves. A few stared at her awe, including Kili. He blinked. He had never seen a she-elf that looked so beautiful. Of course, his God-mother was a beauty. But this was different. Yavanna smiled down warmly at the Dwarves and the Hobbit.

Kili smiled at her, a little sheepishly. With a wink. Thorin rolled his eyes into the back of his head, seeing his nephew like that.

"Gandalf...how good to see you." Yavanna spoke softly, when she noticed the Wizard. Gandalf was a dear friend to her, that she had known since she was little. "And...I do believe, we have not met." She said gently...her voice soft as silk, as she noticed Saeril among the group.

"Gandalf!" Lord Elrond spoke, as he arrived with his hunting party. His horse, close to the Grey Wizard. The pair began to speak Elvish. "We've been hunting a Pack of Orcs, that came from the south. We slew a number, near the hidden path. Something...or someone drew them close, to our borders."

"Yavanna, my dear", the Wizard greeted the young she-elf who rode upon horseback. "I see you have blossomed since my last visit", he complimented her. Saeril looked at this girl whom Gandalf greeted first, since the hunting party arrived. There was something about her that made almost appear rare; maybe it was her face, maybe the raven-hair that she bears? But no, it was the brightness that she saw that made her probably be made fairest. She could only praise in this girl's beauty; a beauty that probably surpassed her own, to say the least.

"Pardon me. Yavanna, this is Saeril Hermiaen; last of the Elves of Fangorn, and Guardian to Durin's Folk", Gandalf introduced the bright star to the black-cloaked elf, who would probably be taller than the princess by an inch. "Saeril, meet Princess Yavanna Undomiel; daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrian", right after he said this, she bowed before the girl, elegantly. "Such beauty and grace has been bestowed upon you, child", Saeril complimented.

Hearing the lord himself, the Wizard greeted him. "Ah, that may have been us", Gandalf confirmed. The lord's right-hand man had his gaze turned to the horned woman. "Saeril", he spoke in astonishment to his leader. Saeril kept her ground, but slightly bowed her head in respect. "It is a long story, my friend", Gandalf spoke up to Elrond, quickly coming to she-elf defense. "One which we may not have the time for now. At least not at this very moment. We really would require your assistance".

Yavanna had a warm smile upon her face. There was a light raiding from the young Princess. A light similar that even her elder sister Arwen bared. For they were both, stars of Rivendell. "I hope, things have been well since your last visit." she told Gandalf. As Gandalf introduced her to Saeril...the young she-elf princess smiled down at the mysterious, dark cloaked woman. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Saeril of Fangorn Forest."

Yavanna smiled softly, at Saeril's compliment. "As has our god, graced you with beauty and elegance too." she said softly. She caught Lindir's gaze to Saeril "Now...now Lindir. No need for that look..." Yavanna told him softly. She shook her head lightly at him. "Surely, there's an explanation for what happened." she cautioned.

"Such beauty." A few dwarfs muttered, but mostly Kili.
Yavanna heard the mutters, and glanced over towards Kili and his elder brother. Looking at them with a soft curious gaze, they were much taller than the rest. Especially Kili. "And you young Dwarfish warriors, who you might you be?" she smiled warmly down at Kili and Fili.

As Elrond jumped down from his horse, he smiled at Gandalf. "You are always welcome here, my friend." he said, as he embraced him lightly. He then glanced over towards the Dwarves and the young Hobbit. Seeing Thorin walk forward. "Welcome Thorin, Son of Thrain."
"I do not believe, we have met." Thorin said looking at him.
"You have your father's bearing." Elrond spoke as he looked at him "I knew him, when he ruled under the Mountain."
"Indeed! He made no mention of you!" Thorin sounded a little bit bitter. Bilbo watched the situation, feeling a little bit tense. As Yavanna got helped off of her horse...her shoes lightly clicked against the ground of the stone ground. Looking at the Dwarf King."There's no need, for contempt and anger." she spoke Kindly to Thorin "You are safe, and among friends. No one wishes you harm." Yavanna's voice was gentle, filled with a care and compassion towards the Dwarf King.

Just then her father spoke in Elvish...and it seemed to Anger Gloin, whom thought they were being insulted.
Yavanna just smiled, shaking her head "Aww, Dwarf masters...there's no need to get so upset. My father, was simply offering you food, a place to stay for the night." she reassured.

Fili had never seen anything so beautiful, so equal to their godmother in beauty and grace. "Fili and Kili, milady", he introduced himself and his younger brother, who seemed to be too far in a trance at the young she-elf's presence.

The others turned and discussed amongst themselves. "In that case, lead on". However, later that day, the dwarves sitting around the elves' dining table were complaining that the food wasn't of their taste, and that they would prefer meat rather than "leaves".

"Kind of you to invite us. I’m not really dressed for dinner", Gandalf spoke as he walked with Elrond to the table. Changing into something lighter and more Elvish-like, Saeril had on an elbow-length, off-the-shoulder, brown dress that fell to her ankles as she made herself appear at the walkway of the dining area where everyone else was at. Although, she didn't sit with them, but peeked out on the balcony nearby. Her cloak was gone, so her wings stayed tucked upon her back. She preferred to walk barefoot, and let the sun warm them, and let her long brown hair flow free, while she seemed to be so troubled on the day's previous events. There has been a lot on her mind.

Yavanna smiled warmly, at the two young Dwarves. Kili just seemed to be staring at her, like he was in a tranze. But he kept smiling, maybe a little too much...not that Yavanna minded. He looked rather endearing. "It's lovely to meet you both. I hope, your visit will be pleasant for you here." she smiled Kindly. Before she smiled down at Bilbo. "And you must be, young Bilbo Baggins of the Shire."

Gandalf had told her a little bit about young Bilbo, on his visits. Bilbo looked a little surprised, but he bowed to the young Elvish princess.

Later, as everyone was at dinner. Yavanna was wearing a beautiful golden dress, with silver and blue embroided patterns in. She opted, not to wear her blue cloak...as it was warm out. She looked somewhat amused, hearing the Dwarves..but she shook her head smiling, as she heard Ori. "Do they got any chips?"
A light, warm giggle slipped past her lips. "Our food, does not bite." she reassured them. "It's quite very tasty, if you give it a try." Yavanna said with a warm smile.

Elrond smiled at Gandalf. "I am sure your journey, has been quite long and you in need of good food." he said smiling, as they walked to the table.

The dwarves were eating, some content, others not. Ori was being picky, and Dori was scolding him as per usual.

"This is Orcrist, the Goblin Cleaver. A famous blade, forged by the High Elves of the West, my kin. May it serve you well." He handed the weapon back to Thorin, who accepted it with a nod.
"And this is Glamdring, the Foehammer, sword of the King of Gondolin." Elrond was only too glad to identify these blades for them. Each had a story and a reason for being made. "These swords were made for the goblin wars of the First Age..."

Returning the sword to its rightful owner, Elrond looked to Gandalf. “How did you come by these?”

"We found them in a troll hoard on the Great East road, shortly before we were ambushed by orcs", the wizard answered his curious but proud Elven friend. "It was a shame to just leave them to lie there", Gandalf added to his point, before taking a split-second glance at Thorin to make sure he was at least a little proud of coming into possessing a great weapon such as Orcrist.

Elrond set aside his own glass of wine before taking notice of Saeril in the distance. "Tell me, Gandalf...how is it that Saeril is accompanying you?". Gandalf looked at the she-elf. He didn't say anything, but did turn his gaze back to Elrond. He really didn't need the others to hear about this, so he stood up. "My lord, I think it's best if we talked about that somewhere else", the wizard requested. Now was not the place to talk about her. The whole time, alone, Gandalf told every bit of detail of her story to the Elven lord.

There was beautiful, music playing by the Elvish servants. Yavanna smiled, as they played her favorite piece. She found the Dwarfs, a delightfully merry bunch. Bilbo was a little more on the quite side, but the pair conversed a little. She couldn't help, but notice that Saeril did not join them. The she-elf looked deep in thought. Yavanna did not want to disturb her much.

As Lord Elrond, identified the weapons for them. Thorin gave the elf-Lord a nod. But looked somewhat proud, that the Orcist was in his hand.

Sometime later, he stood with Gandalf, Lord Elrond, Bilbo and Balin in a room alone. Gandalf was trying to persuade him, to give Lord Elrond the map he carried. "Our Bussiness, is no concern of elves." Thorin said...clearly stubborn. "It is the legacy of my People! It is my to protect! As our it's secrets." The Dwarf King, was indeed stubborn and did not trust easily.

The Dwarves, were having fun. Yavanna was still in the presence of them. When Bombur's chair collapsed beneath him...everyone burst into laughter. Yavanna let out a slight gasp. "Oh dear...you're quite alright Bombur?" She asked, as she knelled down by the Dwarf, helping him up. Bombur was just chuckling as he nodded his head. But seeing he was laughing...made her giggle. Bombur was quite amused, by what happened.

That evening, Saeril sat on the cot-like chair, just to relax, and enjoy the dwarves', as well as Yavanna's, company. Kili sat with her; his head laying in her lap, staring at the ceiling, as he smoked his pipe, while she gently stroked his ebony brown hair.

The winged she-elf retold her youngest godson about his childhood in Fangorn Forest, her home. He spent his hunting days there with his brother and uncle, and of course, all those times that she watched him from above the tree branches. She was quick at the those heights, even with her brethren who once live with her there. It has been a rather fonding memory. She would be delighted for them to venture to her homeland, and cherish in the memories of their youth. Just the three of them; after the journey, she would fly the two of them there. Although there was that one time when she asked him about flying.

Slowly giving a smile, Saeril looked at the dwarf as he seemed to be a little bored. "Still up for that view?", she offered him, if he really desired to see the world from above at the moment.

Yavanna noticed, the tenderness exchanged between the Dwarf Heir and the she-elf. She did notice, the strangeness of the horns and wings, that Searil had. But she did not question it, or ask. Not wanting to offend. When Kili noticed her, she smiled over at them both with a warm smile.

The Durin heir, smiled. Partly back at the elvish beauty...and part, at the story his God-Mother was telling him. It brought back fond memories. But to hear it from her own, point of view. Was special indeed. As he puffed on his pipe. He smiled at her offer.

It was a beautiful, warm night. It seemed like the perfect time; for a little flight. "Why, yes, I am."
