Welkins heard the knock on the door and went to open it. The table was all set and the house was as clean as it could get. He was excited to see Reia and spend some time with her. Even though what happened at the train station still hurt, he moved past it. He would just have to do his best for her to fall in love with him. When the door opened Reia came in then hugged him. He hugged her back and let her go after a bit. "You don't have to worry about what happened. I know whatever it was made you upset and you don't have to tell me. Now is time for the healing process. I've had missions like that too. It'll all be okay in the end." He said gently to her not wanting to make her upset again. The food looked amazing. Welkins really outdid hisself this time. He had hoped that what he made was good wehough for Reia since he knew she didn't eat meat. "Well nothing really has changed for me. The only thing that really happened was what we just had to deal with this morning. I'm sure everything will be okay though. But i swear if I have to deal with Amleth, Felix, and Kalona in one room again, I might scream. They are really difficult to deal with."

Welkins pulled a chair out for Reia to sit down at and pushed it in for her. He went and sat at the opposite side of the table and started to dish up. "I'm glad you're back though. I've missed you while you were gone." He looked over at her and smiled gently.

Reia looked at the table with the food and her stomach growled a little, and she laughed in response. She sat down and Welkins pushed her chair in like a true gentleman. She smiled again, and watched him sit down as well. "Honestly I think maybe talking about it might help. If I cry I'm sorry," she said gently. She waited for a moment until Welkins was done getting his food, and then she served some to herself as well. He took great care in ensuring that he made food she could eat. She took a bite and smiled gently. Once she was done the first bite, she began to speak.

"My mission was to help exorcise a Vampire woman. Simple enough. But the catch was that she was pregnant. And whether you knew or not, my affinity is for Spirit. So I was the only person they could get a hold of to help," She took another bite and waited while Welkins absorbed that info, then she continued. "I was to help a girl named Jax, and the Vampire, Ophelia is her sister. Either way... The baby didn't make it... I tried my best..." she said, looking at her plate gently, and breathing slowly through her nose. "I was escorted out by the priest before I could say anything to anyone, but I did see the father of the baby, and apologized to him... I feel I could have done better." She focused on the food again now, quiet while she ate some more. She looked up at Welkins after what felt like a long time, once she was sure she wouldn't cry, though her eyes stung a bit.

Everything Reia said sounded awful. That poor woman and her partner. Welkins couldn't even think of knowing how that felt. All he wanted to do was console Reia. So he did. When she was finished talking about what all had happened, Welkins got up and walked over to hug her tightly. "I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am that you had to go through that. At least you were able to save the woman though." He tried to make it sound like it wasn't a total loss, but he knew that the loss of a child can be hard to get past. So all he did was hug her tightly. "Everything will be okay."

After he hugged her for a long while, Welkins let go and sat on the floor next to Reia making sure she was okay. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He looked up at her, wanting to help the best he can.

While Reia waited for Welkins to respond, he got up from the table and made his way over to her. He hugged her tightly for a while, saying how sorry he was. She smiled softly and hugged him back before letting him go, watching him move to sit on the ground beside her. He asked her what he could do to help, and Reia thought for a few moments.

"I think just being patient will be enough, thank you though," she whispered, looking down at him. Finally she finished her food though, savoring the fact she didn't have to cook for herself. She was looking forward to having a couple days off from school, and then yawned, her body reminding her how exhausted she was. She glanced at the table for a minute, feeling full and she looked down at Welkins again. "What would you like to do? Anything else? I know you're probably tired, so if you want I can head home."

Welkins took note at Reia's yawn and laughed a little when she asked if he was tired. Yeah he was, but that didn't stop him from wanting to spend time with her. "You're the one who seem to need some sleep." He smiled at her gently. "I can walk you home if you'd like me to." He started to get up and put the food away while he waited for an answer. As he was putting the food away he packed up some for Reia to take with her so she didn't have to cook for a while. He sure as hell wasn't going to be able to eat it all before it went bad. Once it was all packed up or put away, Welkins walked back over to Reia and sat next to her. He really didn't want to keep her if she was so tired. She had had a rough last couple of days and she needed to get as much rest as she possible could.

Reia took the to go container from Welkins that he had packed up for her, feeling thankful he understood without her explaining all too much, how she was feeling. He sat next to her again, and she considered his offer to walk her home. She looked at him for a moment, then shrugged just enough for him to notice. "You can if you like, but it's not like I live that far. I'm sure I'd be okay to walk myself home," she said, watching his face. She knew he was tired as well. She could feel his energy was low. She figured though, she would let him make the choice. It didn't bother her either way.

As tired as he was, Welkins didn't care. "Of course I'll walk you home. I don't mind at all." He smiled then grabbed his rifle. He knew that he probably wouldn't need it, but this didn't matter. He wanted to be safe and if push came to shove, he would lay his life on the line to protect Reia. It sounded corny and stupid, but this is how he felt. The two of them walked back to Reia's and said their goodnights. He didn't want to keep her long since she looked like she was about to pass out right there. Welkins gave Reia a charming smile then started t make his way back home. It was another nice warm and clear night. The breeze was a nice welcome too. Maybe things weren't going to turn out so bad. Who knew, maybe the war would never come. That was just a dream for Welkins, he knew very well what was about to happen and it terrified him. As tired as he was, He wasn't going to be getting much sleep tonight. His father still hasn't returned and he had been way overdue for his return.

Welkins walked Reia home, and then said goodbye and left. She closed her door, but forgot to lock it like normal, and walked into the living room. She looked around gently, then sat down on the couch and yawned. The next thing she knew, she was surrounded by black. It hugged her body, slowly enveloping her in a weird type of cool warmth. It was confusing, and she felt like she was going to start to panic. Was this real though? She felt her body move and suddenly she woke up with a jolt, realizing she had fallen asleep. She glanced over at the clock on the fireplace mantle, it had been hours. Something felt different though. She rubbed her eyes gently and yawned again.
