Jordan Marie Douglas. I call myself Jor more than I do Jordan, because what kind of a name is Jordan? Feel free to call me Jor, too, whichever anonymous Jasmine Productions employee is reading this.

I turned 22 on, ironically, March 22^nd. Does this birthday thing mean I get free cake? I hope I get free cake. Or booze.

Just regular old New Jersey, USA. It's nothing too fancy, definitely nothing compared to all those exotic European countries out there. Russia looks cool, too. But Russia always looks cool. I mean, those guys kill in those Adidas tracksuits. Both figuratively and sometimes literally.

Ah, crap. This question just had to be on here, didn't it? Well, for starters, I don't even like writing about myself. This whole application process has been a lesson in masochism. Buuuut, I guess I have to if I want to actually stand a chance of getting on the show.

I guess my most persistent trait is cynicism. People always tell me I'm a cynic. Pretty ironic, I know, considering I'm signing up to a glorified matchmaking service when I don't even trust the people around me. Personally, I'd like to consider it Enhanced Pragmatism™, but apparently that's not a thing and I'm not allowed to trademark it. Not that I ever tried. Maybe it's just that I've had too many friendships (and relationships) that ended on a bad note — I didn't want to keep trusting people too easily, so instead I filled my head with thoughts that made it impossible to trust most anyone. But you're not my therapist, so I'll spare you the rest of the philosophical bullcrap.

My dad always tells me I'm a pretty good comedian. I have him laughing all the air out of his lungs enough times, but he probably just has a terrible sense of humour, and I'm not about to 'bring a family member onto the survey to help'. Huh, I suppose that's another thing about me; I'm pretty stubborn. You want to try and convince me to do something I don't want to do and you'd have better luck trying to ask a squirrel the meaning of life.

In terms of tastes, I'm pretty boring. I like punk rock music, drumming — with a monstrous passion — and staying up until ungodly hours. There's probably a lot more to me but I honestly don't pay enough attention to myself to go delving into all the tiny little details of my psyche when I can't even answer the question "What day of the week is it"? most of the time. I'm sure the crew will get to see plenty of my effervescent personality on the cruise, if this shambles of an application is even accepted. Oh! Self-deprecation! Add that to your personality list, Mr. (or Miss! I don't mean to assume!) Employee.

Drumming. Always drumming. Non-stop, 24/7 drumming. I have dreams about drumming. The thrill of it all is just too intense to give up, I'm so into drumming that there's never really been room in my life for other things. Closest thing to a second hobby I might have is casually playing games. And I mean casually. Even my dad says I suck at them, and he's, like, my dad. So yeah, I guess drumming is my only hobby. I'd probably branch out into more music-based stuff if I didn't blow all my money on replacing my cymbals all the time. Shit's expensive, you know. Can I swear on this? I hope I can.

Chicks and dicks. But not chicks with dicks.

If you didn't get the message by now — I wanna be a drummer. A famous one. I wanna be the one up on that raised platform, keeping the rest of the band in tempo and in check as I pour every ounce of my energy into banging the (dol)drums. There's just such a driving passion behind drumming; I've had it since my first drum kit when I was a kid. I know there's a long road ahead of me just yet, and I've got plenty more potential that I need to — and will — unlock, but there's nothing else in life I enjoy as much as beating instruments with sticks, so why not make a career of it? Maybe it's the influence of being raised on rock and punk that got me so into the hobby. Whatever it is, it's sure as hell taken a hold of me. World, watch out; Jordan Douglas is gonna to tear shit up. When she can eventually get her life sorted out and get the recognition needed to become a famous drummer in an equally famous band.

Well, I'm a college kid in modern America, so a cash prize is kinda sorta something I'd like to win. But I'll bet you got the same answer from everyone else who applied, or some soppy story about wanting to find love on some pot-luck reality show full of strangers from around the world, so I'll give you a different answer — exposure. But not the indecent kind that gets you arrested. Though, there will be booze on the ship...

Ahem.

Lots of shmucks people across the country, maybe even across the world, tune in to watch shows like this. There's a chance that if people like me enough, I'll become a household name. It'll be a way to boost my chances of actually living my wild, near-impossible-in-today's-music-industry dream. A real chance at living life the way I want to live it. Actual success, instead of stuck in the garage playing drum covers of the same tired hits everyday. It sounds more like a fever dream than a reason to be on a reality show, but that's the mad thing that possessed me to fill out this application form, so I'm sticking with it. If this form actually gets sent off in the post then you'll know I've definitely lost my mind, like, my brain will be mush and I'll want to adopt a thousand cats. Kidding! _Mostly.

Uh... I like Paramore and Fall Out Boy too much for my own good? Answering the previous questions was hard enough, don't send me spiralling into existentialism by giving me the choice of what to tell you. Or something.

Doctor Mikolaj Jaskolski was exactly that — a doctor. He hardly defined the word scientist, there were more well-known and better-suited personalities for that, but 'scientist' very much defined him. Mikolaj Jaskolski was also a father. Most days, being a scientist came more naturally to him.

However, Dr. Jaskolski was not one to run from his mistakes. It had been his mistake to fulfil that effervescent woman's desire one rainy night on a business trip to Tokyo, and the child that had showed up on his doorstep 10 months later was a personification of that mistake. 'Miyazaki' was written all over the small child as Mikolaj had held him in his arms — a name that had not been uttered since it had been whispered in soft moans all those months ago. Thus, a new name was bestowed upon the boy. He became Tomas Jaskolski, and he would be a worthy successor to the Jaskolski name; Mikolaj would make sure of it.

Growing up, Tomas became all too aware of the reality of his country all too soon. He was barely even six when memories of his father sat at a monitor, head in his hands as he was dismayed by the words he saw, were embedded into his memory. A Polish scientist was a controversial topic among most within the scientific community, especially when said scientist was making strides in the field of cybernetics. Poland was anything but destroyed, areas that could remotely be considered 'urban' facing heavy scrutiny from other nations and being neglected by their own government. Police had gone from using excessive force to none at all, barely having an active presence in anywhere that didn't house the rich 1%, leaving the rest of the country to fight for scraps like animals — and fight they did.

The Jaskolski household was lucky that Mikolaj pulled in enough wage from work to live in the more 'well-off' areas of Polska. The streets were kept clean enough by the corrupt police that had forgotten about the other 99% of their police state, at least in comparison to the other 99% in question. Jaskolskis were known to be civilised, even before the degradation of Poland. The family line dated back centuries, with a one Luisz Jaskolski being one of the many geniuses behind the scenes of the cybernetic revolution those many decades ago, working under Simard Industries. Even if he was just one man, one Polish immigrant working under a Canadian company, Liusz's accomplishments were held as dear to Mikolaj as his own. Therefore, it was no surprise that the critique of his origin tore the man apart.

There was not much else to pass the time inbetween the nights of Tomas' father looking disheartened at his monitor. The boy stayed inside for more than he could remember; the other boys played too rough and didn't like the things that he liked. They all had dreams of being in the military or the government. Tomas didn't like either. He didn't quite know what he liked at the time, other than his father. His life was far too fresh for those sorts of decisions. Over time, however, he began to develop his tastes. Music became a catalyst of endless entertainment for him; the nights not spent being educated by Mikolaj became dedicated to rummaging through the collection in the older man's study. There were albums from 30 - 40 years ago, oozing synth and nostalgia from every pore, with dark vocals and an overall sensation that could simply be described as 'epic'. He and his father would sometimes listen together, so that they might enjoy the brief moments they had outside of education.

Tomas discovered some more hidden gems as months went by. There were compilations from a mere decade ago that captured the definition of contemplation within sounds of piano, rain and stringed instruments. Some days they made him feel at peace, other days they brought out a foreboding sense within him. He was too young for much in the way of philosophical thinking, but he wasn't blind to the deterioration of anywhere that wasn't a major country. Mikolaj had made sure of that, for better or for worse.

The professor-turned-father in question found it odd, if not a little fascinating, that his son grew such an obsession with music, though he made no objection to it. If it kept his son occupied, then he was happy — his work had started to demand more of his time, which meant less time available for him to actually be a father. Sometimes Tomas proved to be less of a blessing and more of a curse, especially when he thought it would be 'helpful' to vandalise the research notes on Mikolaj's various projects. Other times, it was the child's insistence on clinging to his father at all times that got on the older man's nerve. Despite all that Tomas did, however, Mikolaj was not going to give up his son just because parenthood was a frustrating ordeal. He'd already signed the parent contract when he agreed to help a harlot cheat on her partner, so there was no going back. No matter what lingering doubt stirred in his mind, Professor Jaskolski always came to the conclusion in the end — he would raise this child, growing pains and all.

His work had other plans.

The following year, Tomas had seen more of the world than he'd ever seen before, and drastically less of his home. Business trips were becoming all too common for him and his father.

The fun part. What cool robot parts do they as characters, if any at all. Feel free to describe them in detail with appearance, their use, and general fluff. See the example below for what I'm looking for. Also to keep things simple and clean, I'm going to limit everybody at least at the start to at a max five augmentations.

Leviathan Dermal Exolayer: A supple, micro-thin material implanted beneath the epidermis in key areas of the body, as well as over the surface of pre-existing cybernetic limbs. The structure of the plating is a phased composite; the base is a microfiber weave made from carbon nanotubes suspended in a thickening fluid. When kinetic energy from a physical blow or a weapon discharge strikes the plating, the fluid becomes rigid, deflecting the impact shock. Heat and electromagnetically-conductive elements in the armor matrix serve to dissipate damage from fire-related or energized trauma. Basically acts as a more advanced version of body armor.
