The girl’s movements put Lee on guard, he still didn’t know how good she was with those knives, but she was fast. Interesting choice, that’s what she said? Lee hadn’t thought about it, there were plenty chances to pick up something else, but he hadn’t expected to fight. Another question formed in his head, with such a small and fast weapon, why had she not attacked yet? Lee came the conclusion that like him, she wanted to test the waters, which meant that he would have to make the first move.
“Ok, have her underestimate me” Lee thought, Lee advanced one step and made the intentional mistake of exposing part of his stomach that wouldn’t hurt to bad until after the fight, ah adrenaline what a dreamy chemical. Lee was already walking the walk, but now for the talk.

“I suppose if one of you gets mucked up, I could patch you up” Lee said, maintaining eye contact with his opponent, Lee knew he was more than adept at first aid, he'd been practicing his whole life, but what else was there, there was his marksmanship, at least where handguns were concerned, but other than that and reading to many magazines, there wasn’t much to him, it would have to do.

“I can make every round count” Lee added, Lee thought back to the things he’d read, nothing particularly useful came to mind.

“And I guess I can play the mule if you really needed it” Lee finished, ok that was enough talk, he performed an inaccurate jab with the 2X4, and prepared to dodge if he needed to. He was practically waiting for the feeling of a blade in his side at this point. “Come on knife lady, Make your move” he thought.

Roxy laughed when Lee purposely exposed his side to her blade. Either he was totally inexperience in fighting, he thought she was an idiot, or he knew she wasn't really going to hurt him. Roxy enjoyed the teens bravo. Not to many people would challenge her, especially with her gator knife pointed at them. He earned points in with her for not running. Roxy had no trouble avoiding his jab with the 2X4. "Is that the best you can do? I don't know if your worth taking along if all you can do is patch up and carry stuff. With moves like that your more of a liability then anything."

Lee smiled, she bought it. At this point Lee had figured out she wasn’t meaning to hurt him, she would have taken the opportunity at his belly if she was, so he would return the favor, but he had to show off a little. So many tactics he could choose from, so little time to decide. Lee supposed that for styles sake, he should try some dirty tactics, they had gotten him far, and he hoped it would take him a little farther.

Lee targeted the blade in her hands with the non-nailed end of the 2X4 to disarm her, he then looped around her and swung at her legs with moderate force to trip her with his 2X4, Lee watched the girl, he hoped that would not be the end of their little spar, but if his sparring partner was too beat to continue, then he wouldn’t stop her, it wasn’t exactly a fight, more of a refresher course really, but it was fun at least.

Roxy glared at Lee when he made a swing at her legs. She had underestimate the teen and he had been able to connect. Roxy easily regained gained her balance from the slight stumble. Alright so the boy could swing a board that was something. Roxy decided to see what else the teen what else the boy was capable of. She circled the teen slowly studying way he move. Twirling her knife in a careless manner in one hand Roxy kicked at his legs while grabbing one of her throwing knives from her sleeve.

Oh good, it wasn’t over, Lee thought. He noticed her grab for her throwing knife, but failed to defend against the kick at his legs. He stumbled and almost dropped his weapon. Dirty tactics became raw brutality as Lee abandoned his weapon, hoping to force a fist fight, and charged her. He grabbed for the blade in her hand knowing that this would force her to either give up the Knife for the one she was pulling from her sleeve, or fight over her main blade, there was no way she was holding it with one hand. One of two situations presented themselves, either they both fight with a blade, or one did. Of course Lee had forgotten that she carried more than one.

Roxy was enjoying herself. It wasn't often that someone challenged her. And the teen was proving he could hold his own, by recovering from his stumble and going for her big knife. She abandoned her attempt to grab her throwing knife. They were too close for it to do her any good anywhere. "Do you even know what to do with a knife this big little one?" Roxy taunted as wrestled for the knife. She could have taken it from her. He was strong, but she had fought stronger. Roxy considered letting him have the knife just to see what he could do with one. But the gator knife was one of her favorites and no one handled her knife.

“Heh, I assume I don’t hold the pointy end” Lee replied as he tried to wrestle the blade from her. Either he was getting tired or she was really strong. He decided to chalk it up to her strength. He released the blade after realizing he wasn’t getting that knife. He examined his options, he could run back to his 2X4 but she’d probably throw a knife, a fist fight was out of the question, he wasn’t going to risk it with the knife again, she had won, Lee realized. All that practice and all the time spent, he couldn’t even beat a knife wielding woman, and well maybe that fist fight was looking good after all. Lee swung right, even if she cut him, which he was almost sure she wouldn’t, he could always patch it later.
Lee was happy, even if they denied him for the mission, this was the most fun he’d had since he became a smuggler. But even so, after all this they’d have to accept him right? Even as a pack mule, or a cook, or a shoe shiner even. “Oh well, we’ll see” Lee thought

Roxy wasn't much of a fist fighter. Knives did more damage. But she had fought without her knives before. Roxy throw the large knife she welded towards the far wall. She was confident that it would it embed itself there until she needed it. While the big knife wasn't exactly aerodynamic, she practiced throwing all her knives. "That's right kid. Your suppose to stick the other guy with the pointy end."

Roxy's eyes dances with enjoyment as she circled the teen. She would need to catch him off guard or go for one of her other knives. Roxy swung her right leg towards him to distract him as she smacked him the back of the head. Maybe he would be worth taking with them. Roxy taking him under her wing if he proved worth the effort.

Another surprise, she threw away her blade, why on earth would she do that? Lee wondered if she was getting bored of this. “Better make it interesting” Lee decided.
At the last second, Lee caught sight of the leg, he had no chance to react as she had smacked him in the back of the head. “Did you just smack me?” Lee asked as he chuckled. “Ok I see how it is” Lee said, he advanced forward, and threw a right hook, followed by a low jab.

"Yes I smacked you. You deserved it." Roxy growled. She avoided the jab but not the hook. She rubbed her jaw. The kid throw a decent punch, definitely better then her own. Still getting socked pissed Roxy off. She looked for another opportunity to smack him upside the head. Roxy high kicked him with her right leg while grabbing her small pocket knife from her pocket. Keeping the small knife in her hand where she thought he wouldn't see it, Roxy went for a round house kick.

The kick seemed to come out of nowhere, and it hit hard. Lee had the breath knocked out of him for a second. He was to focused on the pain to notice anything else, when he regained stability, he looked at the girl, he wanted to say they were evenly matched, but that was uncertain. He’d wanted a rival, but this seemed just a bit out of his league. “What else you got?” Lee asked. “Try that again, I dare you” Lee thought to himself.

"Do I look stupid enough to try the same move twice? " Roxy said with a snort. At least the kick hit him hard. Honestly Roxy was moving out of fighting moves. She never spent a lot of time on hand to combat. The teen had obviously spent a lot of time fighting. Which was good. He might come in hand during a mission. That was if he didn't piss her off so much she actually hurt him. She couldn't use the moves she had already use, he would be ready for them this time. Which meant she was going to have to use the knife. The good thing was that it was small and shouldn't do too much damage. Roxy distracted the kid with jab to the ribs while she made a grab for his head. If she could get a grasp on him she could put the small knife to his throat.

Panic struck Lee as she went for his head, the jab hurt but was an obvious distraction, the feeling of iron on his throat was present in a flash, he looked at the blade. “Where was that?” he thought to himself. He dared not move lest he accidentally slit his throat. “Well great, well it was a good run while it lasted.” He said as he looked at the girl,
“Umm, so yeah, what’s the verdict here?” there was no way out of this one, she’d notice any movement, and his sawed off was in his bag, instead of his pants where it should have been. He had lost. And that was that. Checkmate.

"oh yeah, Lee by the way" He finished

"I think you'll do just fine. You got some decent hand to hand moves. Truthfully without my knives I think you might have won that match." Roxy said as she released the teen. She smiled while she put the pocket knife back into her pocket. She offered Lee her hand. "Roxy."

Lee shook her hand, and then looked at Terrence.

“What do you think coach, am I on the team, who do I get to team up with” Lee said, trying to appear confident despite the embarrassing defeat. He glanced at Roxy, teaming up with her would almost ensure safety from small groups of infected, unless there was a bloater but it’s always best to run from them anyway. The problem with this team up would be the lack of range, the only firearm he had was an extremely sawed off shotgun. He wasn’t sure about the others, but Miguel Looked like he could handle the outside very well. And the other girl, was that another knife? Lee was starting to get annoyed why did everybody get a knife but him. “Oh crap, my plank” Lee thought, he looked around for the 2X4, it was on the floor, and it had taken some damage, it had a few hits left maybe, there was a huge crack down the middle of it, he’d need a new weapon soon.

Dimitri was finally convinced. He was finally positive that the universe was conspiring against him and wanted to see him either extremely miserable or dead if its signs were any indicator. Its latest sign had come in the form of a clicker that had been standing inside of an old metro bus. Had it not been for the sound the creature made before lunging out, Dimitri would have never had the time to react by shooting it twice, the first shot entering its knee, and the next, it's head. The smuggler stood frozen and panting, trying to reign in the sudden burst of adrenaline he'd received, only then did it dawn on him what he'd just done. "Shit, the noise!" he hissed, looking down at the gun, then around frantically. As if on cue a cacophony of sounds from the infected began to rise up from the buildings around him, then rang out into the street as the creatures stormed outside in search of prey. Dimitri took off once more, cursing heaven, hell, and everything in between as a few of the infected gave chase. He had to get away from the infected, but how? Where? No time to worry about that, Dimitri went from a run to a full on sprint, his legs carrying him as fast as they could from the infected.

Kaya was sitting on top of his house looking up in the air. "The world had really changed..." He have gotten used to the quietness and the screams every once in a while. He hasn't had contact with another person in months.

Terrance watched closely at the event that was unfolding. Lee had been defeated much like he had expected from Roxy. He looked at the extra bag on the ground. It had the rifle rounds in it.
"Go ahead Lee, proving yourself here in a non-hostile duel is nothing compared to getting shot at by a Bandit or being grabbed by a Clicker," he said sternly grabbing the bag from the ground and handing it to him, "whatever you do, never let this bag fall off your back. If you do that means we are going to get shit back here." Terrance looked back at the map.
"We need to discuss our route? We can take the long way around or two of the shorter ways. Long way will put us in a safer route a few bandits here and there or we can fight through the infected using the tunnels?" He pointed to the maps and then back to the longer way pointing out the spread out horde of infected heading to the Quarantine Zone.
"We'll have to leave as soon as possible, if we are going north. I don't want to get caught in the middle of that horde," he continued to speak then turned to Andy, "oh and you will stay here. Remember we will keep it as quiet as possible in tunnels. No guns. Leave them here," Terrance continued to speak as he turned his back and opened his safe under the seat cushion, "they will be safe in here."

*LOUD SPEAKER*
Remain indoors. Curfew in effect. Anyone caught outside without a ID will be apprehended.*
*LOUD SPEAKER BEEPS OFF*

"Last thing before we decide," Terrance said showing his ID, "let's see them."

With a sigh of irration Roxy dug into the back pocket of her leather pants. Had she remembered to grab her ID today? ID never made it on her list of necessities. Even though they were expected to carry them at all time, Roxy often forgot hers. Thankfully her fingures found the hard plastic card in her pocket. With a grin she pulled it out and show it to the boss man.

Miguel approaches, retrieves his ID and holds it up for Terrence to see. Then, he grabs the bag of shotgun ammo before leaning over to inspect the map laid out across the table. With his index finger, he taps on a specific location displaying a complex network of streets and intersections. "We should stick to the streets above," Miguel suggests. "There will be more maneuverability and therefore more of a chance for us to escape in a bad situation than if we were confined to the tunnels below." He steps back and nods in silence as he waits for his comrades' input.
