[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

Scarlet nodded and went to the other side and grabbed anything on creatures, dead lands and magic related. Then she set the pile on the table and started scanning.

She was still warm as she opened her eyes a little and saw him there. “Where…am I…carth…scarlet…”

[Jazz]

The doctor hushed her gently, grabbing a warm rag to ring out. He would fold it and place gently on Ash's forehead. "It is alright. Your friends went to see the Captain and rest, as should you. You are ill and need much rest while I make you some medicine." The doctor explains.

Ash flinched and her vision cleared to him. “Who…are…you…where…I have to protect…the dragons…they are in danger…” when she turned her head the doctor would see an old scar at her temple.

Scarlet asked after a bit “find anything Carth?”

[Jazz]

The young man was unsure what she was talking about. The Dragons were gone to his knowledge. When examining her further to see the scar on her temple, it seemed to occur to him what happened. "I am a friend and caregiver. The dragons I would hope would want you to get rest as well if you are to protect them." Hoping playing along would help as well as helping see sense to her own health.

Carth was deeply concentrated within the books and other tomes he had found. As he read and skimmed, so far it was all confusing and didn't know what to make sense on what he was reading. "So far these seems seem so scattered and unorganized one any event and what may have happened.

Ash flinched in pain and said “the young one…his safe… it I have to stop her…sister…she’s lost her mind…I have to go back…get the others…out…”

Scarlet paused on one book and asked “have you heard of the tale of the guardian sisters?”

The Doctor would have to document this after getting Ash to rest for this was something he didn't fully understand. Wondering if her two friends may know what she was talking about. "I could send help. But you need rest. Do not push yourself like this." He urged. He grabbed a cup then and gently put it to her lips. Hopefully by drinking it, would help her ease into sleep.

The young warrior looked up to look at Scarlet. Giving her a confused look. "Guardian sisters? No...I don't think I've heard of them. Why?" He asked, curious where she was going with this.

Ash drank from the cup, her eyes glowing and looking bird like for a moment. “Have to…save them…all costs…have to save them from…sister…”

Scarlet turned the book towards him and said “the guardians of the sun and moon…they watch over the lands with the powers of the elements and magics beyond…it’s a old fairytale I think…but some of the story sounds familiar to what’s happening now…”

The doctor was shocked to see Ash's eyes, what exactly was going on, he didn't know, but he was unsure what to do. "Sister?"

Looking at the book, Carth gingerly took the book before setting before himself. As he listened to Scarlet, he opened the book to look at its contents. "How similar are we talking from what the story tells?" He asks.

Ash nodded and said “she’s mad…wants us to stop…but we can’t…it’s our duty…she’s lost to the…the…” then her eyes dulled and she turned her head

Scarlet said “dragons…mister creatures…and a guardian that used wind…not only wind but…air is a rare gift right?”

[Jazz]

"Ash?" He was concerned for her. For her eyes to suddenly dull like that, he checked her over, her pulse, temperature, breathing. Making sure she was okay before seeing what he could find to help her heal.

Carth looked over the book, thinking about the dots Scarlet was trying to connect. "I believe so. At least I haven't met anyone who can use Wind and, or air." He seemed to think on that a about, confused. "I never understood why that was."

Ash’s fever was getting better of her, making her mind fuzzy and unable to focus. She was breathing hard now

Scarlet rubbed her eyes and said “I wonder if it’s because it’s known as the gift of ghe heavens. Fire can be made by man, water same thing. But air…it’s not bent to mans law”

So he got to work and quickly. He began working on a potion to reduce the fever and calming the body. After, he would try to give Ash the potion and wait for the effects to kick in to then further examine Ash to see what was wrong.

Carth could understand that, and it made sense. He stopped looking through the book and looked to Scarlet. "So for what we are possibly seeing here is that Ash is a Guardian due to her powers. That means she is suppose to have a sister right? Do you think she might know something?" Carth looked back to the book that he was searching through that could hopefully give them insight.

Ash drank it slowly, her skin now hot to the touch and her breathing harsh.

Scarlet leaned back then flipped the book to see the cover and said “this was written by the Assassins Of the White…maybe they have answers”

[Jazz]

Getting some fresh water, the doctor looked came back and set the bowl down. Grabbing a clean cloth, placed the cloth in the water before ringing out, folded and placed on Ash's forehead. For now he played the waiting game knowing it would take time but this would be a routine till her fever broke.

"Assassin's of the White? Well doesn't this get better." Carth leaned back in his seat feeling defeat. "Probably be lucky to find them. But here's the thing. Does it say what happened with the dragons? Why they suddenly no longer exist?" He asks.

Scarlet turned the pages again and frowned. “Only a great evil overcame the land and over whelmed them…not sure what that means…and the curse of stone was awakened?”

[Jazz]

Carth seemed to think about it for a long while, he wondered what it meant too but after the while, he seemed stumped and looked severely confused. "I have no idea and I think my brain hurts" leaning forward till his head landed on the table full of books and maps. He turns his head and looks to Scarlet. "I'm hungry. Can we go eat?" He asks innocently, almost giving off a childlike pout.

Scarlet sighed then said “alright. But first let’s check in on ash and see if she is doing any better. I’m hoping the doctor can help her…”

[Jazz]

Carth agreed, he wanted to see her too and see how she was doing. He got up and made way out when Scarlet was ready. Carth made his way toward the Doctors home. After a bit of walking and using what he remembered to find the way, Carth looked to Scarlet before looking to the Healers door and knocked.

Within a minute or two, the Doctor opened the door to see Carth and Scarlet and smiled. "Hello. If you're here for your friend, Ash, she is sleeping. She has been...an interesting case along my years in this field." He explains. He moves aside so the duo may enter and motions for them to take a seat at the table. Carth takes the offer and comes inside and sides down at one of the chairs.

Scarlet frowned as they walked in and asked “is that in a good way or a bad way doc? Is she at least healing somehow?” She sat down and looked over at Ash who was breathing hard still.

[Jazz]

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Call me Orion." He moves over to his fireplace where he picks up a kettle with a thick cloth. Setting on down on a stone counter, he grabs some cups and teapot. Pouring some water in it, he grabs the cups and the teapot, heading to the table.

"Well by interesting I think the young ranger may have remembered something unless reliving her past. From what I understand, she suppose to protect the dragons at all cost from her sister. Helping her and she was going mad. Even getting a youngling to safety." The doctor explained as he had set the cups down, pouring what looked to be tea into the cups and handing them to Scarlet and Carth

Carth looked to Ash confused, wondering what this all was about. Was that all a memory she remembered or was reliving? What was going on?
