Ari sneered towards the Nurse got out of her range before she floated back to Benjamin as he got dressed.
"Good cause that'd be awkward." She said with a frown, "She didn't seem to see me so I don't know if I can physically touch her yet." Ari said before she sat on Benjamins' bed as she looked at him with a tilt of her head.

"I wanna know how Dia got her ability to be a people." She said with a small sigh as she moved to lay backwards, "Probably something from her background honestly, I guess that's what happens when you're a royal mage."

"I don't know how it happened," Benjamin said as he sat down on the bed next to Ari. "I was in my isolation cell, she came in and collapsed. Then she couldn't get out. We met Josh later and he didn't know how she had become human either. But they knew each other, from before. He called her princess and if she was a royal mage, they might be able to figure out how it happened. And if it can happen to other spirits."

He rubbed his temples. After the light-headedness came the headache. Just like had happened earlier that day. "I hate these pills," he muttered, rubbing his face. He turned off the light in the hopes it would lessen the pain.

Ari gave a small sigh, "Dia used to speak of someone called Josh. I wonder if it was the same person." She said before she looked to Benjamin with a weak smile. "Thank you." She started, "Thank you for helping Ray, thank you for wanting to help Dia." She said before she looked back to the ceiling slowly and breathed out, feeling the air enter and exit her lungs without a second thought.

She hesitated before she sat up suddenly and moved to grab her chest.
"My chest!" She started, "My lungs! I could feel air!"

Sara walked along the corridors, she couldn't sleep. She watched everything as she walked by, counting the room numbers as they went up.
She sighed and stopped in one of the hallways and just leaned against the walls with her head down. Her head was full of thoughts and she couldn't think properly, she just wanted a nice night of sleep after a good day.

Benjamin turned to Ari when she mentioned air in her lungs. "That happened with Dia too," he recalled. "She could suddenly breath." He offered his hand for Ari to take, to check if she would go through or not.
But he already thought ahead; if she was tangible and visible now they had to get her into the system too, as staff or patient. Preferable staff, of course. Patients had the tendency to mysteriously disappear. Which would mean they had to find Dia.

Ari moved to take his hand, at first she could grip his hand but suddenly she went straight through him again.
"What?" She asked as she looked to her body in confusion, "But... I can... I could breathe?" She looked to her chest to see it wasn't moving again. "Just... not anymore?"
She was confused, worried. Why did her form falter and not Dias? Did Dia falter at all?
"I'm sorry." She said with a frown towards Benjamin, "I was hoping I could be helpful..."

"Don't be sorry," Benjamin said. "Do you know how helpful it is to have someone who can listen in on conversations without being seen, or check locked places?" He kept his hands on his legs, but he looked at Ari. "Don't fret about not having a solid form. You were able to breathe, even if it only lasted for a moment. You touched me. Maybe next time it'll be longer. If this change goes through I wouldn't be surprised if it will falter a few times. And if it doesn't, I will still see you and talk with you. As you saw, even my medication doesn't take you away from me. You are real and it doesn't matter how solid you are."

Ari looked up to Benjamin as he spoke to her. She gave a small smile to him before she moved her hand to rub at her eyes, as if she was wiping away tears.
"It was... Nice to be able to breathe again." She started gently, "But I'm glad I'm helpful for someone. It seemed like I was a problem for everyone around here; Dia never called me a problem, but I know she probably thought it."

Benjamin shrugged. "You were the aggressive one and through that did get Ray in trouble," he said. "But honestly, if I was linked to someone against my will, being forced to live as a spirit, I would be frustrated. I was warned about you, and honestly a bit afraid when you first took control of Ray, but right now I think I understand why you were like that."
It was good the door was closed, he didn't need staff seeing him talk to nothing again. The rounds were unpredictable though, but the last nurse had only left minutes earlier, so he was fairly certain he had a couple of hours of freedom.

Ari sighed slightly, "It's because I was the aggressive one. I was protective, worried..." She went quiet after a moment before she looked at her own hands before she closed her eyes.
"I was confused, afraid." She continued, "I don't blame them from calling me a monster, Dia and Ray had a better connection than I and Ray. It could be because of how I was just pulled into the body."

She glanced towards the doorway, closing her eyes again before she breathed in. "I... See red occasionally. I... dont know if it's because of the energy around people but sometimes I just.... Explode."

"I wish I could help you," Benjamin said. "It sounds like someone who studied psychology could help you with, but no-one will believe your story. There are so few who believe in paranormal events that it's just considered crazy-talk. It's how I ended up here; almost everyone believes ghosts aren't real." He shrugged; it was a sad reality, but he promised himself he would get out of this place, one way or the other.
He yawned behind a hand. What time was it anyway? And where would Dia be? He hoped she was okay.

"Just being here is helpful." Ari said with a sigh, she nodded at his words as she gave a bit of a laugh. "I believe you, but... Then again, I am a spirit. But I would have believed you if I was alive."
Ari looked to the ceiling quietly, closing her eyes for a moment before she breathed out. She felt her air exit out of her body, but she didn't comment on it.

Dia walked around the hallways, she was mainly getting herself acquainted to the area. She paused at the medical wing before she moved to push the door open and walked in slowly. She looked around and stopped the nurse that tried to stop her.
"I'm here to check up on my patient." She said carefully.

"A lot of people don't believe what they can't witness themselves and can't be proven by science," Benjamin said, yawning again, "but I think I'm going to sleep. Good night, Ari. It was nice talking with you."
It really was, and he was glad he had the opportunity, but it really was time to end it now.

Back at his house, Marc was sitting in an armchair watching some tv, but his mind wandered a lot to Sara. He'd see her again next day and he was already looking forward to that. Late shift, he had to get in before lunch and help with the meals. That also made him think about Carol, who he always helped with eating. He hoped something could be done about her catatonic state. He had seen something on her file about a change of therapy. Hopefully it would catch on.

Ari smiled softly to Benjamin as he spoke to her, "I will still be here when you woke." She said as she slipped towards the door and slipped through, moving to sit on the ground slowly and crossed her legs.
She closed her eyes and focused with a small hum. Focus on yourself. Breathe in, Breathe out. Just like Sara had taught us.

Sara snoozed on her bed, quietly snoring with the plush spider happily in her arms in a hug.
She winced as her spirit started to twist in her mind, starting to twist her dream into a nightmare, bringing up the date with Marc and making her think that Marc hated her.

Benjamin was awake in bed for a while longer, staring at the ceiling. How he hated this place. Eventually he fell asleep and he didn't even notice the nurse of the nightshift open the door to see if everything was okay.

The nurse thought she saw something when she turned to walk away, but when she looked back she didn't see anything. She shrugged and blamed the shadows as she continued her round.

Somewhere from within the building came a scream, faint, distant. It was impossible to tell where it had come from, but it was something Benjamin didn't hear. He slept until the morning.

Ari didn't move from where she was, she was focused on herself. Maybe this is how she would be able to become visible?
She heard footsteps as she opened her eyes and watched the Nurse quietly, watching her leave before freezing up as the scream rocked through her body.
She didn't exactly hear it, but she felt the scream. She hesitated before standing up, watching the hallways before moving to sit back down with a breathe inwards. Benjamin was more important to her at the moment.

Benjamin woke up early in the morning. He drank a bit of water in the small bathroom, took a shower and got dressed. Every movement was slow, his expression jaded. How many days was it now? Five? It felt like an eternity already. He cringed when a buzzer sounded; it was their way to wake everyone up. It meant breakfast would begin in half an hour. He was dressed already, others would now start to wake up and get dressed. Which meant it would be very calm in the facility now.

He went to the door, wondering if Ari was still around. Probably not; why would she stay outside his room all night? While she had promised she would be around when he would wake up, he expected she would have returned to Ray by now.

Ari lifted her head as the door opened and Benjamin looked out.
"Benjamin!" She said happily as she stood up and spun to face him, moving to hug him tightly before she went straight through his body, stumbling into his room and blinked slowly. "Oh." She said as she looked at her hands and gave a small sigh. "Did you sleep well?"

Dia looked around as she slowly stepped out of the medbay, she held her breath as she continued onwards. She felt like someone was watching her, before Josh suddenly placed his arm on her shoulder and she span around and took a swing at him. Josh easily dodged her punch with a cheeky grin on his face.

At the enthusiastic greeting, Benjamin felt his spirit lift. When she went through him he turned around to look at her and had a smile on his face. "I did, thank you."
"Don't forget to take your medication today," a voice sounded and Benjamin cringed. He had forgotten to check if they were alone before replying to her.
"Damn it," he muttered to himself as he glared at the nurse who had emerged from the room next to his. Without a word he turned around and walked away, although he did lock eyes with Ari first and made the smallest of gestures with his head to ask her to come along.

Ari smiled as she saw Benjamin smile, she looked to the nurse with a glare and held herself back from leaping towards them before she looked back to Benjamin. As she watched him walk off she hesitated before she noticed he gestured for her to follow afterwards.
She followed quickly, a big grin on her face. "So I tried meditating." She started, wanting to get rid of the silence between the two, even if he didn't answer. "I thought it may help try and make me solid." She looked down to herself and frowned. "Of course it didn't work it seems."

Sara woke up and slipped from her bed, slowly blinking before she continued out of bed towards her bathroom and started her shower.
Ray woke up and sat up in the medical bed and looked around slowly, "H...Hey." She called out, hoping to get someones attention, "I...I've wo..woken up. I fe...feel better can I...I go?"

Benjamin listened to Ari and glanced over his shoulder before replying. "You should ask Dia what she did, but from what I noticed: you were most tangible when you didn't pay attention to it and you were relaxed. Maybe it will happen, but it will definitely feel like it takes a long time if you actively try to get there. Or it might frustrate you that you can't make it happen."

A nurse joined Ray and quickly did some last checks: temperature, Oxygen saturation, heart rate. When everything seemed to be within normal range she nodded. "The doctor ordered us to release you if you were psychically better again." She smiled and gestured to the door. "You can go to your room to wash up, change your clothes, and then it's time for breakfast."
