Kenshiro Hyuuga

Location: Summit Camp
Company: Konoha 1st Battalion
Injuries: None
Chakra: 100%

Maybe he hadn't been as steeled as he'd thought. Kenshiro watched as Kazuro had taken much clearer charge for what was expected of the students. The briefing prior to the mission had gone well, but parts could have been forgotten over the course of the journey and a stern reminder was good. Personally though he'd have made the end part about not embarrassing themselves a bit more on the humorous side. The man waited for any of the students to come forward and ask him anything. While Kazuro had a point in that it was not the time for chakra control advice, maybe something related to the situation would be thought up by one of the students. Any duties or the like. Any chance of him answering them though flew out the window in an instant! A sweet scent coming in fast from the side, switching to the front, with soft touch engulfing his chest, back, and lips.

'Nani?!'

"Stop by my tent later tonight, yeah?" "..... Hai..." Kenshiro only partially heard the other parts of what Rose told him. Something about Iwagakure women... What was that he missed? His eyes drifted to watching her walk through the parting sea of grass until it closed behind her. He briefly wondered just what number that had ticked on the counting of ambushes she'd done on him. He was never exactly shy about showing affection publicly, but there were countless moments where he wasn't even thinking about such things. Many times afterwards seeing friends' faces directly after such event, them just as surprised as he'd be!

Luckily Kenshiro didn't stay in his stupor for more than a couple seconds, wiping once under his nose before moving over to Kazuro. "They seem confident." He said with a light smile at the students, all of them scattering off into their own groups without having any need for further directing. At least they didn't believe they needed it. Suddenly fast movement caught the corner of his eye and he looked towards it and reached behind him, his hand on his waterskin immediately, before he recognized the movement more and called out, slightly sternly. "Shira-san!" As soon as the young Uchiha got close, Kenshiro gave him a quick instruction, stern, but not overly harsh about it. "Shira-kun... This an encampment with Shinobi from another village. Fast movement like that could put them on edge... What has you in a hurry?"

Something was different with the company Rashiku was surrounded by. They were all seemingly more... rowdy, in some form. Even the ones that weren't talking seemed rougher somehow. Certainly none were as loud as his teammate Kimi, but he could imagine most of them being able to handle a pinch on the arm without trying to kick whomever was the source. He was generally staying away from others, preferring to eat in his own corner while he figured out what he should really be doing. Maybe he could go hunting later to bring the cooks more meat, or some other task that would be clearer than "Enjoy yourselves." Looking down while at his plate trying to think more on his next activity, he was suddenly called out to by one of the rowdy voices! 'Crap...'

Rashiku looked up towards the rather large guy welcoming him, seeming friendly enough. That did make things easier, though his boistrous introduction was difficult to deal with. But it didn't stay difficult. A wave of relief came over Rashiku as he heard the challenge of a spar. That would... be easy! The boy opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by groans of other students and... Rikuto's stomach, instead getting invited to the table. "Rashiku Karata." He said as he moved towards the table, looking back towards his sword. He hadn't brought with him a non-lethal weapon to spar with, and it surely wouldn't do to accidentally harm a potential ally due to not knowing each other's abilities. A close battle made that all the more likely! "I'll use the flat side of my blade." He answered with a nod and light smile. His tone was relaxed and matter of fact, giving a solution rather than insulting an opponent.

Finally sitting down, Rashiku spoke a bit more, going off of what Rikuto had said about his martial arts, coming from a clan. It'd be fair to share his own side. "Karata swordsman clan. We started in the Mist but they were too brutal, and there was a falling out. My family left and settled in the Clouds, Kumogakure. We left because... I don't know why. But I'm in the Leaf now. It's going well I think." Rashiku stopped there, finding the sharing of information sufficient! This was going better than he'd thought. Though, something odd caught the corner of his eye. Turning, he saw another young guy about his age and about his.... well everything. White hair, similar skin color, bright blue eyes, short... "Clone?" He blinked a few times, shaking his head realizing that he for sure hadn't used any cloning jutsu! Maybe... The boy leaned forward over the table and asked curiously. "Are you a Karata?"

Ami

Holder of the Two-tailed
Kimi and Ami kept up with everyone has they went off to the summit. There was nervousness going through Ami, but the small blonde managed to keep herself calm. Ami wasn't sure how they would react to a jinchuuriki, but she was sure that it was meant to be kept a secret. Her father warned her to be on guard since there could be enemies that would want to try and sabotage the meeting in order to make Konohagakure look bad. The blonde was doing her best to keep a lookout, as she could feel Matatabi stir in her mind. "Don't worry, Ami. Nothing will harm us." the cat said within her mind. Ami simply nodded her head and smiled softly to herself. "I know. We've been practicing hard, haven't we?" Ami thought.

While Ami and Matatabi conversed with each other, Kimi was excited as she had a grin on her face. She had heard her om say some ninja from Iwa were tough fighters, and if she was able to spar with them, that would be great. Though, she had her father drive into her over and over about showing how an Uchiha is and blah blah blah. Kimi had blocked out whatever he said, and decided to focus on what her senseis and the hokage herself would say. Kimi was just going to be herself. Plus, she had to make sure nothing bad happened to Ami when they got to the summit.

When they arrived, Kimi and Ami glanced around the tents, but the two were also keeping out for any dangers. As Inoreiin said they were free to go, Kimi grinned and nodded, while Ami fidgeted in place before nodding too. What was there to do? They could walk around and meet with Iwa ninja, or keep to themselves. " come on, Kiddo, let's go check this place out!" Kimi said before heading off. "Ah! U-Um, o-okay" Ami answered as she followed Kimi, making sure to keep close to her friend, but wondered if anyone else would tag along. Kimi and Ami had gotten along with everyone so far.

Kenshiro let his shoulders down at his fellow Jounin's positive energy, turning his expression towards a light smirk instead of the serious scowl he'd been sporting. He had to remember to keep up the morale for his students. Preparing them for for the worst case scenario was of course necessary, but frightening them wasn't the way to go either. Ken nodded at Taka's suggestion for making sure that the student-only group be self-sufficient, and he already had an easy solution to that. How to group everyone up together to make this go smoothly. "Of course. Hoshiro! You're up. Miho, Rashiku, and Ami are going with you to Daikon. Secure the area for us. Hopefully you won't run into trouble, but if you do, lead your juniors to victory. Chokuro, Kuro Kuro, and Kushina. You three are with me. I'm sure we'll work well together. Kimi, Shizuka, you two can keep up with Takahashi-san yes?" Juzo was almost assigned to go along with Takahashi as well, since the kid had plenty of speed. But there was another gap unfilled that hadn't been discussed. "Juzo-san, I want you to meet up with our scouts and protect them if needed. They are fantastic at their job, but are far less trained in general combat. That's everyone's assignments, move out. And like Taka-sensei said... Kick some ass."

It was good to have a break. The battalion had been moving swiftly through the morning, not just a march, but a rushed trip through the trees in order to get closer to the approaching Sand and Mist forces. This spot however, was just far enough away to where everyone could relax. At least for the moment. Rashiku enjoyed sitting in front of the river as he slowly ate from a prepared bento box. The cool, moist air from the water refreshed him

The anger quickly faded, not so much by being soothed, but sufficiently distracted with so much happening at once. With the soft tug on his sleeve, he looked over wondering what possibly could be happening next, and it was that girl he'd landed on earlier. With widened eyes, he thought for sure she was going to be angry at him for earlier, yet instead she apologized and asked him how he was doing. "Um... I'm uninjured. Teammates... You're Ami Uzumaki?" With a glance down her outfit, and at her demeanor, Rashiku partly wondered if she was really a shinobi. She seemed very different than the others. Shinobi graduates had, at least partially, a predatory nature honed into them. She seemed to lack it almost entirely, and he didn't see much equipment on her in the obvious places. Perhaps there was a mesh armor weave layer within her dress for protection.

Sensing movement from the direction of the man challenging him, Rashiku instinctively put one hand on his sword, ready to draw it, while the rest of his body got ready to move into a battle stance. With Ami still on his arm it looked as if he was guarding her, his arm going back slightly over her midsection. But it wasn't Tenshi who had moved, instead another man had flashed between them, angrily questioning the man from Kumogakure. This new arrival introduced himself as Rashiku and Ami's Jounin instructor, presenting gifts... Ducks? Rashiku reached to take them, his movements unsure as he kept an eye on the adults.

Koji Takuma
"Do you really want to die?"
_______________________________________________
A man in dark blue shinobi gear kept an eye on the meeting spot within Training Ground 31, a strangely average area with lots of heavy forestry. That was partly what made it different from others, in that others usually had some sort of specialty or gimmick around it, while this one was just a designated patch of trees for training. Up in one of those trees he laid back along a large branch that supported his weight, reading a stack of books he'd brought. At that moment he thumbed through a schlocky 'horror' titled "Snakes in a Hotspring", and on the branch lay a mystery book and a comic of some sort.

Eventually the Man's students would arrive, Captain Takuma's new Cadets. As they each arrived, he recalled what he'd read about each of them. His team was strong, far stronger than he'd expected. Strong, and stubborn. They were bullheaded and overconfident. That was something in them that he'd have to demolish immediately. Once all were there he closed his book, set them aside, and jumped down to meet the three of them. His eyes stopped on Naruko for a second longer than the others. 'Adorable... That's a problem. Will worry about it later.'

Koji was certain that these three would have words for him, either questions, declarations, or what have you, but they would wait. Right away he spoke first before giving them the chance. His voice was loud, clear, and stern without him even having to raise it. The demanding presence of an experienced commander. "I am Koji Takuma and I've been assigned to be your Jounin. However, I do not have to accept any of you. Regardless of what you showed at the academy, I'm not convinced any of you have what it takes to be Shinobi. You'll have to prove it to me. Should you fail to prove yourselves, I'll send you right back to the academy. Should you prove to be useless and lack potential... Then I'll save the village the trouble and just kill you here." The man sternly told all three of them, watching how they'd react, wondering what they would do next.

Location: Meeting with the Kumo-Nin/Clone with Hideo. Mizuraki Senju
_______________________________________________________________________________
The clone infiltration had gone off well, at least in the beginning. Mizuraki doubted that one single clone would have made much of a difference, though she had to admit that the thought was weighing on her...COULD the clone she had sent off to Shadow Hideo and the children have made a difference? Maybe things wouldn’t have ended in such a sorry state if there was one more body to assist? The veteran ninja always had a problem with overthinking and questioning her own decisions, it was a habit that she was never quite able to kick. However she had to have faith in the children. They passed the academy for a reason and besides her clone would be there with them every step of the way! Even if Hideo was an absolute pain in the ass to work with, she could put that aside for the kid’s sakes.

Mizuraki didn’t say anything to Ichika about the assault, she thought it would be best if they simply moved on and got the assault started. Their minds needed to be as clear as possible for the battle that was about to take place. The Senju woman removed the glove from her hand and sunk her teeth directly into her thumb to allow blood to seep freely from the wound. Placing her hand upon the ground Mizuraki called forth her companion: Katsuyu.

The giant slug emerged from the summoning seal that Mizuraki had created and eclipsed most of the forest with her incredible size. The slug, while large and obviously imposing due to her size, suddenly lowered itself toward Mizuraki with a...Surprisingly timid sounding voice emanating from the giant beast. “Mistress. Is there something I can do for you?

Mizuraki blushed at being addressed as such before holding up her hands and gesturing towards the much larger being. “S-Shhh! Katsuyu I told you about this before. Just call me Mizuraki. You don’t need to be so formal.

Katsuyu nodded her head in recognition. “Oh of course, Mis- Mizuraki. I had forgotten your instructions, I apologize.” The Slug now began to take notice of her surroundings. “You must be on a mission of importance, Mizuraki. I haven’t seen you around this many Ninja in quite a long time. What do you need from me?

Mizuraki merely nodded in confirmation. “Long story short. We’re invading a base full of missing-nin. We need your help to cross the sea. You’ll be able to ferry us all across with little to no effort. I know its salt water but I wouldn’t be asking if it wasn’t important.

Katsuyu’s face faltered for a brief moment upon the mention of Salt Water. The slug could survive incredible damage and easily reform itself...But that didn’t change the fact that she absolutely loathed salt water with a passion. “If you think something as silly as salt water is going to stop me from helping you, prepare to stand corrected, Mizuraki-Sama. Of course I will give you all whatever aid I can.

Mizuraki’s smile was practically beaming as she reached out and hugged the very, very large slug. “Oooohh. I knew it! You’re the best friend a girl could ask for!” The brunette quickly calmed herself down and put her game face back on. “Alright, everyone. Let's get moving. We only get one shot at this!

Dammit all! The clone of Mizuraki that she had sent along to tail Hideo bit down hard upon her lip in utter frustration. They had technically done their job, but they also just put every foe down there on high alert. The children were going to be walking into a trap. Dammit, Dammit, Dammit! The clone continued to berate itself before making its way toward Hideo and the children. She emerged from the undergrowth and looked to Hideo and his charges with a grim expression on her face. “I’m going to be coming with all of you.” The clone locked eyes with Hideo practically challenging him to defy her. “I was going to just stay behind and watch Hideo over here. But the situation’s bad, you’re going to need help.” She walked forward and crouched down in front of everyone.

Me and Ichika kind of screwed up a little…” she murmured under her breath. “We got through a great deal of the initial section however. I can easily guide you all through it, but we’ll need to be careful. The enemy is going to be on high alert. The other wave of our clones was detected in the third tunnel, they collapsed the ceiling.” She smiled a bit though. “It won’t be much of a problem though, I can break my way through that stone easily. Just stick close to me and we’ll make it out okay? I swear it.” She looked at Hideo again. “I’m not taking no for an answer by the way. So with that all out of the way are we going to get moving?

Resolved footsteps echoed through a stone hallway, a masked man entering a large, open room, that had a rather low ceiling. Just high enough for tall people to not be bumping their heads, but only a couple of feet more. A long table made of marble, masterfully crafted but showing cracks and chips from age sat in the middle surrounded by spacious stone seats. Furthest from the entrance an old man sat with a cleared plate in front of him with specks of rice decorating it, and beside it a steaming cup of very dark tea. His arms were wrapped in bandages down to his fingertips, his legs thin with the skin hugging his bones. Partially matted, frizzled black hair draped all the way down his gaunt, chapped face and loomed onto his shoulders. And yet, this desiccated husk seemed to be regaining color in his skin. Lifting the cup to his lips caused his thin, bandaged arm to tremble slightly, but ever the less the more he moved.

On the opposite side of the table the masked figure approached the old man, stopping when directly across from him. He began to speak, his words direct, while his voice was smooth and confident. "It seems someone must have gotten wind of the operation. Both the beach and the caves are being stormed now. It seems to be at least three full teams that are invading." With his arm relaxed, the masked man lifted it to extend three kunai to the old one, who grasped them with familiarity. "I know you're not in the best condition. Regardless, we need to move. Follow me. I have some things that may help." The old man had a bitter expression as he stood up from his stone chair, but his eyes were full of conviction as he moved to follow the white mask.

Nothing else in the room mattered. Rashiku's eyes burned bright with power and fury as he followed Taka's every movement. Every, one. Their jounin's speed spiked to levels that were higher than anything Rashiku had witnessed before, and though he could see almost everything, the man moved faster than his eyes could turn to follow, and trying to catch him with the blade appeared an impossible task. Yet that didn't stop the boy from trying. As Taka was back infront of him, the smallest movements that Rashiku was capable of making in that time were still trying to angle the point and edge towards him, to even so much as graze with the blades. One of his hands barely managed it, but was beginning to let go of his hilt, fingers beginning to extend and sparking, electrified chakra crawling down from his shoulder towards the hand holding his weapon. Even the lightest cut could still stun him just long enough to finish it!

When Mekakushi was back infront of the boy, his eyes were back to locked right onto him, the killing intent not having faded in the least. Even with Ami out of the way, even with something having happened to Akira's wood jutsu, even their difference in speed hadn't changed Rashiku's course. At first he tried to resist being disarmed, until against such a fast movement, even with Taka being careful, a sharp pain shot up through his forearm, and he had to cooperate long enough to prevent a fracture. His weapon was gone, taken away and sheathed. Takayuki's actions were confusing, but partially made sense. It would be easier to dispatch all three of them by taking away their attacking options. Though why not just kill Ami then? It wasn't clear, but it didn't matter! As Rashiku lurched forward into the 'embrace' he charged up his same hand with the coursing electricity, about to slam his crackling palm into the very close stomach of the man infront of him, with Taka able to see his eyes still filled with contained anger. Just before Rashiku's attack connected, the more experienced shinobi grabbed his hand held it up to still embrace him, but keeping the hostile chakra away from making contact.

And then things were diffused. Takayuki explained his intentions, his actions, and of how they'd all exceeded his expectations. As Rashiku was let go, anger still lingered, but the intensity and killing intent slowly faded. The suspicion that Taka had held was understandable, as it took Rashiku some time even after being betrayed by his village to accept the Leaf as anything besides an enemy. Now, he found them occasionally pleasant, but always strange. "Welcome Home" still rang a bit hollow. Not in that he was unwelcome, rather that he felt still so unfamiliar. Despite that being understandable, the things he'd called Ami, even as a ruse, kept the ember of anger lit in his eyes.

Akira had accepted things readily, obviously enjoying the praise, and eagerly begged to be taught the secrets of Taka-sensei's speed. Admittedly it was impressive, and would be very valuable to be even close to it, but parts of the lesson didn't feel right to the boy. He looked over to the teammate he'd tried to save before, and as the older man asked for questions, Rashiku finally spoke, having been silent through everything before.
"If I suspected you were lying, what benefit could there have been in not removing you as a threat? Being incorrect would mean we all die. If someone threatens us, why not kill them and be sure?"

I walked the path that led me to the end
Remember
I'm caught beneath with nothing left to give, forever
Grey skies will chase the light away
No longer
I fought the fight now only dark remains
Forever
Divided I will stand
And I will let this end

Resolved footsteps echoed through a stone hallway, a masked man entering a large, open room, that had a rather low ceiling. Just high enough for tall people to not be bumping their heads, but only a couple of feet more. A long table made of marble, masterfully crafted but showing cracks and chips from age sat in the middle surrounded by spacious stone seats. Furthest from the entrance an old man sat with a cleared plate in front of him with specks of rice decorating it, and beside it a steaming cup of very dark tea. His shackled arms were wrapped in bandages down to his fingertips, his legs thin with the skin hugging his bones. Partially matted, frizzled black hair draped all the way down his gaunt, chapped face and loomed onto his shoulders. And yet, this desiccated husk seemed to be regaining color in his skin. Lifting the cup to his lips caused his thin, bandaged arm to tremble slightly, the chains on the shackles rattling, but ever the less the more movement he made.

From the darkest corner another masked figure walked into view towards the one entering, the two being completely identical. The one who'd entered began to speak, his words direct, while his voice was smooth and confident. "It seems someone must have gotten wind of the operation. Both the beach and the caves are being stormed now. It seems to be at least three full teams that are invading." The other mask nodded and gave a light sigh, before speaking in a quieter, but equal voice to the other. "Damn... You've had more time to think. What do you suggest?" "Contingency D. With moving to A if our forces falter, and then B if that is not doable." With the plan told, the second mask nodded firmly. "I'll take care of this then. Get back out there and continue to monitor. Remember, you're more fragile than you're used to."

Swiftly, the man who'd entered left the same way, while the second mask strode over to the old man and ordered him sternly. "Meal time's over. You get a couple swallows, then get up." From under his disheveled black mane, the old man glared at the mask, but complied, taking a couple of larger gulps than normally comfortable for the tea's temperature. The masked figure grabbed the collection of chains on the old man's back which had been loosened for his meal, pulling them tight to pin his arms against his body leaving very little movement. "Move. Now." Still holding the chains he pushed the prisoner forward, leading him elsewhere.

Koji Takuma
"Do you really want to die?"
_______________________________________________
There they were... The kids didn't even seem to be bothering to reduce their noise level. Or... No. Just one of them. Multiple instances of the same steps were approaching from multiple directions. Koji didn't know exactly which of them it was, but he'd guessed it was Naruko with her known use of the Shadow Clone technique. And then some... thudding and clothes shuffling off to the side? Koji's eyebrow raised as he continued hurling the scattered projectiles in the general direction of where he was hearing. 'What are they doing over there? Weird time to be rolling around in the dirt.' Soon both the steps and shuffling stopped, the forest going quiet. A final few clangs echoed as Koji stopped throwing his kunai, and a fog started settling in the trees.

With a change of his stance, Koji pulled on a ring inside his sleeve, bringing up a wire that followed the back of his arms and lined them with loose kunai attached with small snapping buttons that looked cheap and easy to separate, along with a couple in each hand ready to be thrown. 'Time for them to start... Hidden in the Mist jutsu? That's a surprise.' Something was different however as the mist settled in and got thicker. The smell was acrid, and the mist had a different consistency than what Koji had seen before. 'Not bad... I don't want to be in this for long if it changes.'

And then there was movement. Figures coming out of the mist towards him, and a triumphant battle cry from the girl in orange. As soon as they came out of the mist one of them caught a kunai right into her leg that had ricocheted upwards off the ground, dispersing her with a short "Yeeep!!" Immediately Koji turned towards the other two intent on doing the same to them, but instead he stopped in place, stunned with his mouth slightly agape. "Oooouuuu~ Koji-Sama~!"
...................

Koji was a reasonably disciplined man. One who was very skilled at keeping his composure. And here it served him well... But he was not immune to the powerful technique being thrust upon him! For a brief moment the approaching women had his full attention, his guarded stance half dropping, and Gorudo's tongue met no resistance as it slung through the air to grab the scroll. The clones of Naruko got closer, and almost were able to get their hands on their target before he was able to snap out of it, and with a swift and hard kick, he slammed one into the other and dispersed them both. A small hint of red was under one nostril, but he was no longer slowed down. "Now I know who's first..."

In a blur of movement, Koji launched directly towards Gorudo just as he'd gotten the scroll. In nearly the same instant as Koji had appeared infront of the boy, two kunai were launched with one swing of his arm, sinking right into his previously-wounded shoulder and his opposite thigh. And yet, the movement didn't stop. A hand went to Gorudo's collar and grabbed with force, pulling him into a lock with Koji behind him brandishing a Kunai at his throat. "And now you're captured... You two stay back!!! Or I'll kill him and you both next." He glared down at the boy, and gave him a final ultimatum. "Escape this yourself. Prove you're worthy. Before I end it." The point of the blade pointed towards Gorudo's skin, so close to being able to cut him in an instant.

Every time that the sun still sets

Rashiku couldn't help himself from glancing at Ami all throughout the walk to find a good place to sit for lunch. Each time he moved to state something, but quickly stopped. Some of the times, other strangers passed by and he clearly didn't want to talk with them in earshot, and at other points he simply didn't manage to speak. Finally the nearby park provided distance from the wandering crowds of shoppers, and a place to sit without needing to focus on looking around and walking. Still, as he sat next to Ami, he was awkwardly quiet for even longer. 'How do I even start with this?' He thought back to just a bit earlier, how he'd planned to stab through her in order to deal Takayuki a fatal blow. She surely wouldn't have known what his intentions were in that moment, and probably had many doubts after as well. He wanted to tell her she could trust him, but every time he tried, he didn't know what part of the topic to start at.

Suddenly there was a noise on the roof behind them, some crumbling rubble, dust, and a couple of spooked birds flying off. Immediately Rashiku stood up and looked, his hand going to his back towards his weapon's hilt, but not drawing it yet. His eyes glowed brightly as he investigated with his Karata eye, seeing what was happening, but he detected nothing. Unbeknownst to Rashiku, Akira had landed just out of his sensing range, and was crawling ever closer to it, but just before going in, the Karata boy released his power and let go of his weapon, scratching his head. It looked to him like just a piece of cement had crumbled off and fell, creating some dust and giving the poor birds a fright.

With a light smile, Rashiku sat back down and looked towards Ami again. The distraction had actually been helpful, having him focus on something other than organizing his thoughts. With his shoulders more relaxed, he finally spoke, just trying to get it out. "I was trying to protect you..." He started, knowing how it may have sounded. Ami's hand had been fidgeting as she was sitting there, attempting to figure out what Rashiku had wanted to talk about. Many scenarios were racing through her head. Most of her being caught so easily. Though, the noise had snapped Ami out of her thoughts. She too looked over but saw nothing out of the ordinary. When Rashiku sat down next to her, Ami felt her heart race with anxiety. The small girl had a confused look on her face when Rashiku suddenly spoke of him trying to protect her. "P-Protect me? Ami asked, before it dawned on her. Her bubbles. Rashiku must have been trying to cut Mekakushi-sensei in a way where she wouldn't have been harmed, but her bubbles must have gotten in the way. Ami looked down with embarrasment. "I-I'm sorry. I-I d-didn't mean t-to get in your w-w-way... I-I just got i-in a panic a-and was t-trying to d-distract s-sensei..." she explained. Right away he shook his head denying her statement. "You were in the way because he put you there. He used you as a shield. Your techniques helped create an opening." A bit faster than he intended, he raised his hand to put two of his fingers gently to her shoulder where he'd been aiming at before. "I was going to strike here... It would have gone through you and struck Mekakushi-sensei in the heart to kill him."

A sense of relief went through Ami when he reassured her that she was in no part in his way. She was pleasantly surprised that Rashiku had commented her bubble jutsu had helped create an opening instead of hindering him. The blonde blinked twice when Rashiku had touched her shoulder to explain what his intentions were. Ami nodded her head, understanding, though she knew it would still hurt if it had happened. "I-I see... I-If I h-had tried t-to move b-before y-you did... i-it would have b-b-been bad..." she whispered, realizing that if she had tried to avoid his blade, it would have caused more harm than good. "My eyes make it easier to aim... But yes." His mouth curled downwards slightly with his eyelids partially closing, as he continued sounding regretful. "It would have been painful. I'm sorry. I planned to remove the blade after as smoothly as I could and then take you to the hospital." He'd told her everything that had transpired in his plan. But not all that had taken place in his head when he had tried to fight their instructor. And almost like he couldn't contain the other piece any longer, he blurted out to her seemingly out of nowhere and off-topic. "You're not a creature. And you're not a threat to your village... Even if people say you are."

Ami blinked twice when Rashuke had said that. "R-Right... M-Matatabi... I-I was going t-t-to tell y-y-you, A-Akira, and S-Sensei about her.... K-Kimi-chan is t-the only one o-outside of my f-family and the h-hokae that knows... I-I forgot t-they would h-have told s-sensei..." she said, figeting in place, before she looked at Rashiku with a soft smile. "B-But thank y-you for n-not being s-scared of me" The boy looked at her and nodded, but turned to face forward a bit quickly as her smile made him feel a bit strange. "I... You're welcome. My village said I was a threat too."

Koji Takuma
"Do you really want to die?"
_______________________________________________
The whole forest ceased to make even the slightest sound, as if it had gone completely still, when Koji held onto the limp Gorudo. He let him fall to his knees first, and then the rest of his body slumping forward to the ground with a pool of blood forming under the boy's neck. As if what he'd just done was nothing at all, Koji stepped over the body towards Naruko, locking eyes with her while drenched in blood and oil. "I said I'd kill all of you for interfering, and you go and shout out 'Dodge this'. You doomed them and yourself..."

Unfortunately for Naruko, the instructor didn't grant any time to recover, or even process what had just happened in front of her. He had already gone forward towards her with two kicks towards her stomach, and three kunai afterwards thrown to bounce off the ground upwards into her shoulders and upper leg. The shock and disbelief of her friend's death would give way to rage soon enough, and it was important to show her weakness and helplessness as it boiled over.

Koji stayed close, prolonging a melee battle with the girl, and completely overwhelming her with the difference in skill between Genin and Jounin. Attempts to make seals for shadow clones were interrupted by strikes to the arms and legs to get her off balance. Angry punches were difficult from her wounds, and countered with strikes to the gut. The onslaught went for a couple of minutes, feeling much longer for both of the battling warriors, but the younger finally faltered. With a kick to the back of her knee, Naruko was brought down to kneel, with Koji following behind swifly to lean onto her leg and grab her in the same way as he had her friend. A kunai at her throat. As if to not give her a change to spit any more words at him, let her make any more declarations, Naruko suddenly felt a sharp pain in her back as he jabbed his fingers into it, just as he cut her neck just like Gorudo. Spouts of crimson flowed down his hand grabbed against her throat, keeping her in place with the feeling in her back getting sharper, and after only a few seconds, consciousness faded.

Slowly, and gently, Koji laid her face down and stood, his breath heavy and ragged while he was covered in blood. "Just... One more..." he let out as he faced the final student being guarded by his faithful companion.
