☩ ℝ𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕨𝕠𝕠𝕕 - 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝔾𝕚𝕗𝕥𝕖𝕕 [ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕒𝕞𝕡𝕖𝕕] ☩

Seth

"Wake up everyone! It's time to wake up! Your dorms are now complete and have been assigned. Please head to the student information desk to receive your room key." The announcement echoed across the floor that is crowded with sleeping students. Seth awoke slowly, rubbing his eyes open and stretching out wide, almost punching a sleeping pixie in the process. The sound of groans and muttering filled the dining hall. It's only been one month since the Night Monarch took control of Mystia, so the giant space vehicle is still in the process of being converted into a school. The students have had to sleep in the dining hall, some in the corridors due to spatial issues. Seth made his way out of the dimly lit dining hall, making sure not to crush anyone with his talons.

The long corridor leading to the student information desk is lit by two continuous strips of neon white light that illuminated the slow moving students. In any other situation Seth would be excited to see what his new living space looks like, but memories of the attack still play in his mind. So many of his classmates from the Mystia campus were either left behind or killed. However, this is not his first time going through such a tragedy. In the year 2776 his home planet, Earth, was taken over by demonic creatures who inject lava into their prey, melting them from the inside out. During the attack on Rosewood, Seth was being overpowered by the Night Monarch's children when one of his best friends came to his rescue. They fought for as long as they could but there were too many of them. Seth made his escape as the screams of his friend scratched through the dense mist. He looked back to see the monsters ripping his friend to pieces and feasting.

Overwhelmed with guilt and grief, Seth stops walking. The lights and figures of students become blurry when tears begin to swell in his eyes. He quickly clears his throat, wipes his tears away, and continues to the desk. The line wasn't too long since most of the students are still asleep or trying to wake up. He walks up to the desk and is met by an elf who towers over Seth, even though she's sitting down. "Name, class, and race." The elf's voice was very blunt. "Seth, I'm an Assassin, and a Siren..." She rolled her eyes and sighed. "Do you people honestly think that I don't need your full name? What is your full name, Mister... Seth?" This reply took Seth off guard. "It's Seth Ziggy. We all lost something. We are all on the same team. Why you gotta be like that?" The elf rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She printed out my room key and chucked it away from the desk towards the corridor. Seth vanished from the front of the desk to the corridor's entrance, grabbing the hard plastic card just before it hit the ground. With an angered expression Seth looked up at the elf who is now smiling. "Good boy." Frustrated, Seth makes his way back down the corridor.

Upon reaching an elevator he examines the card which reads H-14. "Floor H, room 14." He speaks to himself when annoyed. Seth enters the elevator designed with highly reflective black walls and the only light coming from the neon white buttons. If there's one good thing from this new campus it's how beautiful it is. He reaches his room and swipes his card. On the card reader is a facial recognition camera. He scans his face before the door slides up and the cool air rushes out. One of the walls is completely made out of reinforced glass allowing complete vision of the stars and planets outside. For this moment Seth forgets about Mystia and the rude elf. The edges of the ceiling are lined with green light that reflects off of the shiny white floor. He walks in and makes his way up the chrome stairs. On the second floor are two bedrooms, one on the left of the hallway and the other on the right. He enters the left bedroom and jumps face first onto one of the beds, letting out a groan of pain after realizing the bed is not very soft.

Feevi

“Of all the sensations that potential students of Rosewood were warned about, there is nothing worse than the constant rocking back and forth of this enormous flying spacecraft.” Feevi thought to herself, clutching her stomach and anchoring her body to the wall before her bowels went ballistic on the sleeping students in front of her. The loud announcement didn’t help either, worsening her headache as she made her way through the line of students moving down the dining hall. She always wondered why her parents never made her get used to space travel. Perhaps they never believed that the Monarch would actually reach their home or maybe they just hated it as much as her. Her father certainly did: “If you can imagine being on a ship at sea, that goes upward at a 90 degree angle while occasionally spinning with gravitational forces crushing your head then you have just imagined launching into space.” Her father once said that after watching one of those space technology advertisements on their television. The memory made her chuckle…a bit at least…before she remembered that she’d likely be spending several years hurdling through space. She hoped he was okay. She’d be sure to tell him all about it when she gets back.

The long line finally ended at a brightly illuminated table that was overseen by a tall female elf meticulously sorting documents with a permanent look of disdain painted on her brow. When it was about time for Feevi’s turn she could tell from the bags under their eyes that the elf had probably been at this for a while. The elf cleared her throat and beckoned Feevi over with a sigh. “Name, class, race.” She said in an exasperated drawl. Feevi stood up straight, doing her best to gather herself and answer politely despite being slightly intimidated by the elf’s demeanor. “Oh! Um, hello! My name is Feevi…um…Fevela Alice Krauss. I'm a necromancer like my parents and I’m…an elf.” The desk lady narrowed her eyes at her, leaning forward to emphasize their height difference. “You’re an awfully small elf, aren’t you?” Feevi nodded, absent-mindedly playing with her hair. “I think I’m mostly elf…I don’t really know my human relatives.” The lady nodded and began writing something on a separate sheet of paper, pressing a few buttons to print out a small rectangular card. She handed it to her. “Very well, here is your room key. Do not lose it.” Feevi took it from her quickly before giving her a short bow and returning down the hall to the elevator.

Stepping out of the elevator, she walked down the black hallways with a bit of trepidation as the neon signs illuminating the dark walls reminded her more of a dark crystalline cave than a new home. Eventually, she came across a room with the distinctive letters “K-2” that matched the letters on her keycard and carefully slid the card down the module, gasping and jumping back slightly as a red light shown into her eyes to scan her face before immediately opening like a shutter, blowing her hair back in surprise. She carefully walked inside, gazing at the green lights that lit up her new abode. "Well, that’s a nice change.” She muttered as she checked out the bedrooms, discovering four in total. Once she was sure she was alone, she sat down on one of the beds and closed her eyes, raising her hands slowly in front of her before letting out a deep breath. Her fingertips began to glow before wispy mist-like tendrils formed a circle of smoke in front of her, molding into the shapes of two wolves. Feevi opened her eyes and smiled, reaching out to pet the ears of her new creations. “Alright guys, let’s stick together okay?”

Theron

“What’s a guy gotta do to get some good shut eye for once?” Theron groaned under his breath and rolled over onto his side, pulling his pillow along with him to tug one side over his face in a futile attempt to stifle to sounds of the other students gradually waking up. He was already a light enough sleeper as it is, but having to deal with the claustrophobic space and cold, hard floor that was the dining hall made it all the more difficult for the ashen haired incubus to actually get comfortable enough to fall into more than just a comatose state. After a few moments of curling himself up into a ball, hoping to steal at least a couple more minutes of rest before yet another day of monotonous classes and lackluster endeavors to feed, Theron eventually gave up and forced himself to get out of his makeshift bed. Rising to his feet, he rolled his shoulders back and stood up tall. He made his way over to the ever growing line of students that had formed by what he assumed was the information desk- he never took the time to actually remember where a lot of the important school facilities were unless they were absolutely necessary, and approaching the student information desk wasn’t really something that piqued his interest often.

Theron let out a loud yawn, bringing a hand up to his mouth to try and stifle his clear sign of exhaustion before tucking his hands into his front pockets. His drooping eyes narrowed even more as he scanned the hall around him in hopes of finding some kind of stimulation to keep him awake. A few figures caught his attention, one of which was an exceptionally tall male who he presumed to just be a well endowed human. The student had just gracefully caught a plastic card hurtling towards the corridor, and Theron’s eyes trailed down to see broad wings attached to his back, as well as talons in place of his feet. “Huh. A siren, then. I haven’t seen one quite as… archaic as him before” A grin of bemusement spread across the Incubus’ lips as he eyed the Siren down, taking in his features and marking him as a potential target of interest for later.

Before he realized it, Theron was met with the sound of someone loudly clearing their throat, followed by the sharp voice of a woman coming from above him. Clearly lost in his imagination, he quickly turned his head from the Siren down the hall to the lady before him. To his pleasant surprise, he found himself to be at eye level not with her eyes but instead with her chest. “My eyes are up here, boy.” Theron subconsciously bit his lip in approval, swiftly casting his view upward after getting a good look in. The tired elven woman seated before him was giving him a look of pure disgust, not unlike the reactions he’s received plenty of times throughout his life whenever someone learned of his race. “My sincerest apologies, darling. I was simply too--” “Save it. Name, class, and race.” She retorted, obviously not willing to humor his advance. Theron pursed his lips, a bit perturbed at the fact that this woman had just cut him off before he could lay down the smooth talk. “Nevermind that. She’s probably just as exhausted as everyone else.” The ashen haired male brought a hand up to brush his locks smoothly out of his face before replying, “Theron Nicholas Thaliard. Gunslinger. Incubus.” He paused for a moment as she turned her attention toward what looked like a list of names, then to the printer that swiftly ejected a freshly printed card with the letters “K-2” on one side. “Here you go. Floor K, Mr. Thaliard.” The elven woman handed him the card, and with an excessively deep bow and flourish of his wrist, he held his hand out to graciously accept the key from her. “Many thanks, darling. And please, call me Theron.” He lifted his head up to flash her his signature charming smile, only to see that she had already moved on to helping to the next student.

“Wellp. I’ll get ‘em next time.” Theron shrugged off his flat rejection and straightened up. Making his way towards the elevator, he walked in and typed his destination into the keypad, not without admiring his features in the highly reflective black walls of the small chamber before doing so. It didn’t take long for him to reach his floor, and he folded his arms casually behind his head while darting his eyes from one side of the corridor to the other to find his room. With his keycard in hand, he lazily slid it through the scanner and brought his face closer to what he assumed was a facial recognition camera. Only seconds later, the doors to his new room slid open, letting out a rush of cool air that swept his meticulously messy hair from his face. “Fancy,” he murmured to himself before stepping into his dormitory. A whistle escaped his lips while he scanned the entrance of the room, taking in the beautiful view from the windows as well as the sleek staircase leading to a second floor.

The Incubus took a cursory search through each of the bedrooms on the bottom floor, taking a mental note of the one he planned to claim as his own. Just as he was about to head into the next room, he heard a female’s voice coming from one of the rooms upstairs. Theron quietly ascended the stairs and approached the room with the open door so as not to startle whoever resided within. Slowly, he peeked his head in to see who had beaten him to his dorm and was surprised to be met with not one, but three different entities in the bedroom- one of which was a very cute (and petite) elf girl. “I wasn’t expecting to have this much company so early in the morning.” Theron offered the small elven girl sitting on the bed a broad smile, stepping into the room to get a better look at her and the creatures around her. One of his brows raised at the sight of the two wolves with ominous smoke auras around them. “Cute dogs. I didn’t know they allowed pets on here?”

Fraul

Green meadows scattered with flowers… the well-worn houses… the blinking stars above… Fraul takes it all in with a deep breath. He sits alone on a tall cliff overlooking the village him and his family used to live in. This would be his typical spot when he wanted time alone to think. His old friends, his parents, the terrible experiments. Memories of the past sometimes consume him. He wants to run away from it all and start anew but is too freighted, doesn’t know how. It’s times like these where he perches himself on this cliff under the glow of the moonlight and tells himself that everything will be alright, things will change. Fraul takes another deep breath enjoying the solitude when suddenly a thick fog quickly creeps behind consuming him rendering him unable to see his surroundings. Freighted, he kicks away from where the ledge was “what the hell is going-" Fraul’s face smacks against a damp stone wall. The environment around is changing. Darkness closes in as much as the walls seem to. Only fragments of moonlight remain. Fraul freezes, this reminds him of that day. Out of the sheer darkness comes a wolf baring its stained teeth creeping forward ever so slightly. Its coat, so dark it seems to capture Fraul’s attention, keeping him almost paralyzed. And before he knew it the beast dove forward.

Fraul shot up. His wolf-like senses are keen but seem to distort themselves during nightmares like these. The physical and mental strain his body goes through during the nightmare overwhelms him. Sweat covers his back and face, the contents of his dream running through his mind. After a deep breath it takes some time for him to recuperate, Fraul scans his surroundings. He sits on the floor in the corner of the dining hall. Observing the dimly lit hall, its architecture and the different creatures resting about. No seems to be awake at the moment. He decides that he needs wash up and heads for the bathroom, making sure not to disturb the sleeping students. The hallways are livelier. Noting the causal hum of conversations about him to students rushing to their own destination. Fraul picks up on the somber looks on many of the faces. He makes his way down several corridors losing himself, having to resort to asking directions before finding the bathroom. In it, he waits a small line to the sinks. Students wash their hands and faces and move on. Shortly after waiting in line I am about to wash my face when the intercoms go off. "Wake up everyone! It's time to wake up! Your dorms are now complete and have been assigned. Please head to the student information desk to receive your room key." "Ah right, that’s what we do." Fraul thought. After he gives his face and hands a good wash and hydrates himself from the fountain nearby, he finds his way to the information desk with some help.

He found the short line leading to the desk. After a minute or so of waiting, it is his turn. The elf at the desk seems intimidating and it doesn’t only come from her height, which seems to match Fraul’s although the elf is seated. From watching the interactions of the of the students before him she seems to just have a short temper. “Name, Class, Race.” Utters the elf. “Fraul Weiss, spelled W-E-I-S-S, Gravitin, and um…” Unsure of what race to classify himself as, Fraul takes a minute. “I was turned into what I am. I was human before but-“ The elf cuts him off. “Listen kid, I don’t care to hear your sob story. I’ve heard enough already. Just give me an answer.” Shocked to hear her be so blunt about it, but not surprising, she has a point. He thought. “Nocturne.” Fraul spoke half-confidently “I am a nocturne.” The elf looked at him with the same blank expression she gave everyone. “uh-huh” She replied while sliding my room key ready to take the next student. He takes the keycard, not considering asking her for directions. He quickly resolves this by noticing the general direction of the crowd. Upon following it he realizes it does lead to the elevator. His room key reads H-14. Although a lot has in the last few months of his life, Fraul is eager to meet his roommates. So long as they aren’t the elf. Upon reaching the door to his room he slides the card in the reader and completes the facial recognition required to open it, trying a few times before it works. Entering the room hits him with awe. The pristine lights that bounce off the shiny floor takes him off guard, but what really catches his attention is a part of a wall made up of nothing but glass. Allowing clear view onto the stars and planets above. He walks up the stairs taking how clean and empty everything looks, the start of a new life. As he makes his way up the stairs to the hallway, Fraul notices someone resting face down inside one of the bedrooms. I’ll introduce myself later. He thought. Fraul carefully walks into the bedroom opposite to the sleeping student and sits down on one of the beds claiming it his own. He uses the solitude and quietness to think. Taking deep breathes to calm himself while remembering his nightmare he had earlier. “Things will be alright” he muttered to himself. This is the opportunity he needed to claim back his life. With a gleam of determination in his keen wolf eyes, he got up and explored the rest of the room.

Stella

Slight twitching spreads across her face. Morbid dreams of the attack play in her mind. Stella is slumped against a wall corner, not the most comfortable sleeping position but she doesn't trust laying on the floor. "Wake up everyone! It's time to wake up! Your dorms are now complete and have been assigned. Please head to the student information desk to receive your room key." echoes through the room. She jerks awake. Feeling a strange sensation she looks down noticing her hand is tightly gripping her brooch. It's in the shape of the Corcelle family insignia. Stella lets go looking at the imprints left on her hand. She stands, brushing herself off and swiftly makes her way to the reception area.

On her way there, Stella makes quick glances at the other students. Back home she was taught to be aware of your surroundings and any potential enemies. Of course, she's not there to cause trouble. Her main goal is to avenge her kingdom and nothing must come in the way of that. She doesn't like to put her trust into many people, but she's not against having allies. Surely some of her classmates could be an asset for the cause.

After waiting in the line for some time she makes it the desk. An elf stands before her, obviously not wanting to be there. Stella doesn't blame her, this seems to be a very mindnumbing task. "Name, class, and race." Says the elf. "Stella Corcelle. Elementalist. Demon." Stella answers. The elf looks at a list of names and rooms, "Floor K, room 2." the elf hands Stella the key. "Thank you." Stella garbs the key, not sure if the elf acknowledged her thanks.

The elevator has a more modern design than she's used to. Her kingdom was advanced but still kept a lot of classical elements in the architecture. Leaving the elevator and walking a few steps down the hallway, she uses both her card and the facial recognition device to enter her dorm. Other students have already arrived. Not wanting to chat, she makes her way to one of the rooms.

Nuna

"Wake up everyone! It's time to wake up! Your dorms are now complete and have been assigned. Please head to the student information desk to receive your room key." Nuna Mori, was not accustomed to an announcement awaking her. Her regal ears wretched at the appalling pitch that disturbed her slumber. One would think losing her family, being removed from her place of prowess, and now residing in the midst of common folk, would be enough of her torments. Albeit, Nuna's mental state far usurped any negative implications. Rising her lithe body into an upright position, she prepped herself to arrive at the mentioned location. Her senses seemed to be disconnected as she almost stumbled to the floor, rising to her feet. "N-nope... not me!" The thought of falling as she was on board a flying spacecraft startled her more than she had expected.

All the lights and sounds overwhelmed her mind as she was attempting to adjust to the environment. As she proceeded down the hallway, the metallic walls, glimmering lights, and unfamiliar faces all formed a blur in her vision. Her sensations were addled and she battled with these unusual feelings all the way to the information desk. She seemingly regained her composure as the monotonous scenery began to liven up and she stood in line to receive her room key. Wanting to expedite the process, she listened up ahead to hear what questions were being asked. From her position in queue, she gazed upon the random entities that were subjected the terse dialogue the elf worker prompted. "Name, class, and race." As she approached the desk, without a moment of respite, Nuna said, "Nuna Mori. The druid of everyone's dreams.. with a nice mix of some Succubus." The elf may or may not have blushed at her quick responses, but Nuna exerting her charm, winked at the elf, took the room key and proceeded to the elevator.

The elevator ride for Nuna was not quite eloquent. Near regurgitation and fainting were not splendid thoughts and/or actions. It only made her reminisce back to the times she was on land, supported by the earth underneath her, and wondrous views and smells of nature. However, the view out the glass was magnificent leading up to her designated floor. Once she was off the elevator, she trotted to room K-2, stared intently in one location as the facial recognition performed its function, and entered the room. She had no energy to be tempestuous and sensual with anyone. She simply dove into bed and said, "Salutations, I'm Nuna. I wish I has some soil..." She thought to herself how awkward that intro may have been but dismissed the thought as she laid prone in bed.

Seth

Seth just laid there in pain on the very, very firm bed, waiting for the pain to go away. As the pain slowly died down he heard the door downstairs slide open. Seth was usually excited to meet new people but after all the loss in his life and on Mystia, he just felt nervous. He heard the footsteps happening slowly, as if his new roommate was admiring the spacious dorm room. The footsteps stopped outside of his bedroom door and then continued away into the opposite bedroom. Seth was curious as to what the other student looked like so he rolled off his bed and went towards the other bedroom. He tried to quiet his footsteps but his talons were forced to clink against the hard floor. Upon reaching the doorway, he tilted his head just enough to see inside. He didn’t consider his wings which were completely visible through the door.

Inside he saw his new roommate exploring around. He looked slightly built and seemed to be even taller than Seth. He noticed some animalistic features about him and through his black hair he caught a golden glimmer from his eyes. Seth has only met a few others in his life that shared similar appearances. Seth opened his lips as to speak but was interrupted by his dry and nervous throat.

“Levia Farrow would you please come to the principal’s office? If anyone finds her, please capture her. She murdered a fellow classmate in order to make it onto the ship. You can’t hide much longer, Miss Farrow.” This announcement blasted from a speaker downstairs, followed by a description of her appearance and what the punishment would be: Being shot into the dead, cold, outer space.

Feevi

“Oh!”, The energy emanating from Feevi’s fingertips sputtered out in small blue flashes as she tensed up in surprise, hearing the voice of the boy with ash-colored hair towering in front of her. Cail grit his teeth and barked at the unexpected intruder while Shea let out a quiet whimper and fell down on her back with her paws up, showing him her belly. The flustered elf put her hand to her chest and took a deep breath before calming her growling wolf and looked up at the boy with a flimsy smile. “Uh...sorry about that. I didn’t think anyone was here yet.” She explained, feeling a bit nervous as she gazed up at the boy’s face. He looked very unique, at least compared to other boys she had grown up with in Mystia. As someone who would usually much rather stay in her room than stay at school and mingle, she found him very intriguing, quite taken with the features of his face and the color of his eyes. She stared at him for a few moments before realizing how long she’d been gawking and glanced down towards her feet. “So…” She mumbled, twiddling her fingers, “I’m Feevi. Nice to meet you?”

Fraul closed his eyes as he sat in bed wondering about his new room and roommates. Taking his mind off the events of this morning is good for him. His ears picked up on the small clink coming from outside his room. This person appeared at the threshold of the door. It was the same person resting in bed in the other room. “I hope I wasn’t too loud” Fraul thought. The person before him seemed to be a siren about the same height as he was. Fraul quickly picked up on the scars furnishing his body, he seemed to have a history as well.

His new roommate was about to speak but was cut off by an announcement about someone being trialed for murder. “Some people would do whatever it takes to get the advantage.” Fraul thought aloud. He walked up to the siren and offered a hand. “Nice to meet you my name is Fraul Weiss. I got here a few minutes ago. I hope I didn’t wake you.” Fraul chuckled nervously.

Theron could barely hold back the chuckle that rose unexpectedly from the back of his throat at the sight of the elven girl’s wolves. “Pfft… are these two related? They’re like, polar opposites.” The ashen haired incubus leaned against the door frame, folding his arms loosely across his chest as he eyed both of his new roommate’s companions. “No need to apologize, I’m pretty sure you beat me here fair and square.” Theron made sure to be discreet as he glanced up at the girl, noticing how intently he was being watched in turn. He was amused, but decided not to try his luck too soon with a new lady friend he’ll likely be spending the next semester or so with. She’s damn cute though. “The pleasure’s all mine, Feevi. You can call me Theron.”

Cocking his head to the side, Theron moved a hand to brush his hair smoothly from his face and flashed Feevi his most charming smile. “I look forward to rooming with you.” Pleased with his delivery, he carefully approached the wolf laying on its back while eyeing the less-friendly looking one, moving a hand to start stroking the eager pet’s fur. To his pleasant surprise, his hand was met by a soft, warm belly and not the cold, hard floor beneath the shadowy summon. “Huh, what about these little guys’ names? Are you a necromancer--” Theron lifted his head in confusion as he was cut off by the jarring announcement echoing through the walls of the dorm. He paused for a moment before shaking his head in disbelief, still rubbing the female wolf’s belly gently. That’s crazy. If we can’t even trust people on this ship, what’s gonna become of the rest of us? He shook his head of the thought and returned his attention to the wolf before him. “Hey Feevi, I think she likes me. Can I keep her?” Theron jested in a lame attempt to lighten to mood.

After putting away her things and getting acquainted with the room. Stella figures she shouldn't just stay put. This is a good time to survey her roommates. After all, she will be spending quite some time around them. Leaving the room she makes her way to where the others are conversing. Not wanting to seem too eager, she stands off to the side. Watching from a comfortable distance.

Nuna

Nuna tried to get up out of bed but tripped and fell on who knows what. Tired of the unexpected curve balls, she went from laying prone in bed to laying prone on the floor. She muttered from the ground, "Tough. If anyone wanted to talk to her, they would have to get her up from the ground or speak to her.
