Nillumin (Nil-loom-in) Castle

Hi there! I have some ideas for roleplays that I'd like to do, be it over PMs or the 1x1 thread is up to you and what you're comfortable with. My character is the same for each one, with slight changes in the later part of his backstory. Your character is obviously up to you, with possible restrictions on species or gender depending on which RP you choose to do. I'll do non-romantic stories with any age, but if you want to do any of them as romance, I require you to be 18+ for my own comfort, given that I'm 22. I prefer to simply fade to black if anything more than a heavy make-out session is involved.

Basic history that all the RPs share:

The Realm of Nillumin has been at war for over three hundred years, the vampires of the realm having always felt like second class citizens under the harsh rule of the King- a Shadow Wraith like all the royalty before him- and his knights. A small group of bitter vampires sparked the war when they ambushed the carriage carrying the brother, sister-in-law, and nephews of the king, killing them and leaving the bodies to be found by the royal guards on their next patrol. Enraged, the king declared all vampires to be the enemy and ordered them all killed, thus officiating the war that had been declared by the vampires. It had been full out battles and frontal attacks on both ends, culminating in the largest battle thirty years ago that took the life of the king's eldest son. After that, the already cruel king demanded that any vampires not killed on sight were to be captured and have their powers bound, forcing them into a life of servitude to the royals. The vampires began retreating, fearing not only the King's newfound wrath, but enslavement as well. There are still many groups in hiding, forming militias and plotting attacks, waiting for their time to strike a final blow.

Without further ado:

Medieval Versions:

1)(M/M only if romantic, no gender restriction if non-romantic) Your character is a vampire that was recently caught and bound. Whether they participated in the war or simply hid from the beginning is up to you. They wake up in shackles and quickly get dragged to the king and given their new position: servant to the king's- now- only son; the Prince (My character) that no one has ever seen in battle, causing unconfirmed rumors of every variety to surface. It looks like your character is going to be the one close enough to him to find out.

2)(Male character for both romantic and not) The cruel king is dead! Felled by the hand of his own son, who has become king in his place. The new king is already showing to be kind and fair in sharp contrast to his father, declaring the war ended and lifting the order of death or enslavement on the vampires and encouraging them to reemerge and share the realm side by side with the shadow wraiths. To begin the reintegration, he's invited your character, the king of Vampires- a position that began at the start of the war when all the vampires decided they needed a leader- to share Nillumin Castle with him, and rule side by side as equals. Does your character accept with genuine intent? Or perhaps to infiltrate and finish off the Royal line for good?

Modern Version

1)(No gender restriction, character cannot be Shadow Wraith or Vampire) On Earth, there's a place that serves as normal summer camp for some supernaturals, and a year-round refuge for others. Your character- either being a long term camper or new, up to you- comes across an odd pair: both gray skinned and red eyed, they keep to themselves; the older boy always carrying the young girl around or holding her hand, they're never seen separate. Only the head of the camp knows what their story is, or at least why they're here. Does your character try to befriend them? Try to spy on them to find out their story? Treat them with distrust? The choice is up to you. One thing is for sure, the camp is going to get a lot more interesting.

So that's what I've got hashed out so far! Give me any ideas you have if you're willing!

• Please write at least a paragraph unless there is a dialogue-heavy exchange, in which case a couple sentences is fine.
• No god-moding characters.
• 1 post per week at the least. Writers block is understandable. If that's the case, or you're going to be gone for a while due to real world responsibilities, please tell me!
• Dark themes obviously welcome.
• I love talking OOC and hearing ideas to further and deepen the plot, so feel free to tell me if you have an idea!
• I'm open to doing multiple versions with the same person.

Wherever you are more comfortable RP'ing! I can do either formats. Once you decide which prompt you want to do I will give you a CS to follow in order to create your character! After that, we can start if there aren't any questions.

ooh okay, I got it... what about somewhat of a mixture of the two? So, my character was the vampire king (or a prince or something, perhaps, if not -the- king), and was captured. But, rather than kill him, the king of Nillumin decided to bind him and make him a servant as a statement, a gesture of absolute control. And then we can go from there- my character no doubt plotting his bid for freedom, and yours... perhaps plotting the death of his father and an end to the war? Idk. So, it would sort of start with the first plot, and potentially lead into the second one.

Or, if you would prefer to keep it just to one or the other, that would be fine. I'm just greedy and I like both lol.
