Aela hid her disappointment with Eric not accepting her hand or help up. She was stronger than she seemed. However, a part of her was relieved in her weakened state with her mana spent more than she was used too was a bit rougher on her body. Aela wandered a head of Emily and Eric lost in thought. They must be going something rough for the worry to ware on their minds. Should I give them space? Is that what a best friend would do? Or do they need to be there for their friends? How can I show that I am here for them...gifts maybe?"

Aela wandered over to a patch of flowers and began weaving a crown as she walked. I know it's not much, but this is what I can do now. Aela offered a crown to Emily and Eric. "Remember how we would make crowns for each other when we were down?" Aela smiles as she finished one for herself. And sighs as she continues on and turns around "Eric.. Emily.. I have to go out of town for a while. So, try not to destroy the town while I am gone. Okay?"

Eric blinked.

-"Flower...crowns? Yes....we did make those as children didn't we?"
Emily nodded.
"Yes, we did."

They walked, following her. Emily could not help but sigh. They both blinked and paused when they heard her plans. Emily and Eric frowned. Emily spoke first that time.

"We...have to go out of town as well. For how long? We do not know. But, we may be gone a long time. It is....a bit of a journey."
Eric nodded. However, he kept silent. He did not think either one of them should tell her why they were leaving. They did not want her to feel bad or helpless or anything. They also did not want that evil woman finding out about her, and they did not want her to be put in any sort of danger.

Emily glanced at the sun. It seemed sunset was getting closer.

Aela smiled sadly and fingered the flower crown. "You two are going out of town too huh? By fates grace it would be quite hilarious if we were going to Capital City. Just make sure you two protect one another, and come back home safe. If you told me in advance I would have made traveler charms. Consider the crowns as your good luck charms for now."
Aela slipped hers on her own head and sighed.The pain within her was reaching it's climax she needed to leave. And make sure everyone left her home too. "Now get outta here. Go get what you need done."

Eric and Emily both sighed. They both nodded.

"..Alright."
-"..Very well."

They both hugged her. They both hoped that she would be alright.

"Good luck."
-"What Emily said."

Eric took a deep breath. He kissed Aela on the cheek.
-"Stay safe, alright?"
He wished he could tell her what happened to him and his sister. But, he hesitated. Then, Emily gasped, looking behind them. Eric blinked and did the same. The sun was setting. Eric gasped.

-"o...ok. See you someday."
Eric suddenly groaned and he and Emily ran off around the corner to find a place to hide for the night. They acted quite suspicious.

Aela hugged back gently enjoying the embrace. With the kiss Aela flushed and stood still as the twins ran off. Aela felt extremely giddy and light headed. That was before the pain returned. Aela turned to walk away she felt for a moment she should go after them. Instead she focused on pushing through the pain and getting back home.

Once there she was able to coax her guests to leaving. Once they were gone Aela went to her bed and laid down a pillow over her face screamed as the surges began getting worse. The pain felt like the mana was breaking down her insides. She laid still for several moments before drifting off to sleep which remedied the pain.

Emily and Eric quickly found a cave to hide in. They would stay there for the night. Sounds of pain could be heard. It was a bit of time before it was all over.

The curse had activated again. Their animals, like usual, were random, their animal forms that is. This time, Emily had changed into a rabbit. Eric, this time, had changed into a goat. They both gave saddened looks and looked at the night sky outside the cave. They could do nothing but wait until morning, when they changed back into humans. Then, their journey would begin.

Aela awoke a few hours later the pain had subsided greatly. That was a weird dream, but it may prove useful. Within her dream she discovered a conspiracy that her family was involved in. With a record from her family ancestry where they once were great mages.

Aela's slipped out of bed, there must be a book that described their bloodline. . Aela moved silently through the house with a small flame around the size of a coin. Aela moved to the small library and began searching through the books. She came across several books that her Father would read to her... her parents. With father being a captain of the guard he passed away during a risky operation. And mom...I never really knew her. She died shortly after I was born.

An odd feeling came over her, she froze as it felt like magic but was different from her brother and it was close by. Maybe whoever that is has answers I need?
Aela moved outside and began moving toward the presence of magic. When I find them questions first fire power later. It must be my last resort.

Emily and Eric tried to sleep in their animal states. Emily slept under a little pile of rocks, her rabbit form small enough to do so. Eric slept next to a cave wall, on all four...legs. Slumber proved quite difficult to obtain. If they were in human form, they would have given depressing sighs.

Emily gave a startled jolt and opened her eyes. Her rabbit head poked out. She heard footsteps heading towards the cave they were in, or she thought she heard footsteps anyway. Eric opened his eyes and looked at her, then in the direction that she was looking towards. He got up off the cave floor.

Both were on guard now.....

Aela kept moving the magic source led to a cave? Aela carefully moved down the steep way to the cave and brushed herself off. She enahaled this is the second time I’ve sensed this presence. Maybe who ever it was likes caves? Well they seem pretty secluded from prying eyes so it makes sense. Her flame grew to the size of a fist and as it gently floated beside her.

“Excuse me? Hello? I have a few questions to ask about magic. I was hoping we could talk?”

Emily would have gasped if she were in a human body. Eric would have done the same thing himself. They quickly backed away from the entrance to the cave. They recognized the voice and felt that they could not let her see them. They knew she was clever and everything. Anyway, they made to hide somewhere in the back of the cave. They tried to stay quiet. They hoped that she would leave. They did not want her to find them. They could not let anyone see them until after the curse was broken, or so they felt anyway. They waited...

Aela kept moving in the cave after not hearing a response. “I get it you have your resignations.. but I sensed your presence a few days ago while casting a spell? I wasn’t sure at the time, but I’m pretty sure you were just defending yourself. Please..it’s my brother he.....he’s dying of mana. Please you are my only hope.”
Aela continued to hear silence she didn’t like that whoever this was might be leading her to a trap. Aela knelt down on the cave floor the tears began to fall from her face. “He’s all I have left...the doctors say he has maybe a month to live if he’s lucky. I’m willing to pay any price for any information or major lead you may have.”

Emily tried to hide under some rocks. Eric took a step back. However, he made an error. His back hoof hit a small rock and it rolled a bit. He gave a startled jolt and so did Emily. Their' hiding spot was revealed. Not to mention, they could not back up any further, nor did they have anywhere else to go. They were trapped.

It was only a matter of time before Aela found them. However, then they heard her tears. Eric, against his better judgement, took a slow careful step forward. Emily, against her own better judgement, hopped out from under the rocks where she had been hiding. There was silence as they remained there.

Aela straightened at the sounds she got up. Feeling threatened she felt that she might be in a trap. The floating flame split into four she flicked her wrist as they soared in front of her fanning out in a radius. Flames incenerated her hands as she slowly looked around with her guard up. “If it’s a fight you want I will more than likely grant you one.”
Aela moved forward and watched her flames as they moved over a cave, she thought she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She turned and started slowly moving toward the shape.
“A goat..? Wait..a second...if your not a....then what...what are you?”

Eric had been spotted. He stepped back. He had a human nervousness to his eyes. Emily, the rabbit, hopped over to him. He leaned down so she could hop onto his back. He would run out of the cave and try to get far away if it became necessary, before sunrise happened and they changed back into humans.

'Aela...' Eric thought. If he were in his human body, his thoughts would have been spoken out loud. Eric was not sure what else to do, except be prepared to run if he had to. Emily was shaking. There was a patch of fur near her....paw....that looked just like the birthmark she had as a human.

Emily had that same human nervousness to her eyes as well. She was surprised that someone as talented as their friend had not figured it out yet if she could sense magic and energy and such.

Aela’s flames return to her side and slowly diminish as does the flames surrounding her hands. “I’ve never sensed animals with magic cores before... could you be... a fam...” The bunny caught her eye as it moved she noticed the birthmark. “Emily?!”

Aela retreated a bit her flame shrunk to the size of a coin leaving most of them in darkness. “I’m guessing the goat is Eric then...?”

Emily blinked. Eric blinked. Aela had figured it out. Emily hopped off of Eric and the twins looked at each other for a moment. Then, Emily hopped towards Aela. She had a sad look in her eyes. Eric had a similar look as he soon stepped closer. The two stood there, looking right at Aela. They were unable to speak.

Aela knelt the flame hovering over providing a circle of radiant light, Aela hugged them each one at a time. "I'm sorry you had to find out about my powers this way... and that magic has harmed you two as well."
Aela sighed and continued "Since you know, I might as well tell you." She pointed up at the small flame. It seperated into four each a different color, orange, blue, white, and black.
"Within my family each person born is able to use fire magic with these colors. Each color does different things. Mainly the white flames heal, the blue fire is used for higher offensive spells. And Black...is used for emergencies. However, there is a price to pay in our bloodline. Since mana or the source of magic runs through anyone gifted with magic it has a limit per person. My brother Adian.. his disease is caused by how his mana flows. You see he has so much of it that it's causing more harm then good. And it refills quickly before he can expend much of it. Apparently it is very common in my family for someone to pass away due to this."

"I usually try to expend tons of mana without causing too much damage to the environment around me. I do it as often as I need to keep my mana levels down. However... every time I use magic and when I get older the mana grows and the result of depleting it takes a bigger toll each time."
All I know is there has to be someone gifted in magic at the Capital City just outside the kingdom. I planned on making the journey there to find a solution... and save my brother. He.... doesn't have much time. A month at the most is what I was informed of this mourning."
