A terror whom many great men have fallen at the feat of. An evil whose influence chars the land and drains its life. A man who has transcended beyond the stage of mere mortality whose existence unapologetically questions the gods. The overlord is described as many things. None of them are positive. The truth around his origins are unknown, but what is known is that he is a scourge who seeks to conquer the kingdoms of man and fey alike. From the lands he claimed his own between the wild, savage south and the more civilized north, the overlord raids and pillages his way deeper into the world. Fielding armies of cruel orcs and vile undead it seems that none can stop him. Will you rise up to challenge this infamous villain?

Of course you won't. You're one of the overlords peons. A low-ranking member of his warband ready to start your career as a barbaric minion. The countryside is yours to pillage, its rich resources yours to keep. So long as you obey the overlord's regime and do as you're told, you'll go far in this world as it bow to your master. But let's be honest here. You never do what you're told.

Rules;
1. Follow the guild's rules. You may be raping and pillaging your way across a village, but you're certainly not allowed to detail the former.
2. Don't be a munchkin. Nobody likes the munchkin. Being a munchkin is a crime punishable by spontaneous combustion.
3. We'll be sticking to core for this campaign. But if you MUST have a splatbook, contact me via PM and I'll look it over and possibly approve it.
4 It is highly encouraged you pick a more traditionally 'evil' race. I may allow a human or two, but I would really like to see orcs, goblins and all sorts of other monstrous races.
5. Have fun. Not having fun is also punishable by spontaneous combustion.

Houserules;
Goblins modifiers are as follows; -2 cha, +2 dex. Kobolds modifiers are as follows; -2 str, +2 int. Orc's modifiers are as follows; +4 str, -2 cha, -2 int
Ranger pick their animal companions as if they were druids for the purposes of levels.

For rolls we'll be using Orokos. You'll need to register an account with them. For sheets, Mythweavers will be used. You'll also need an account with them. Finally, we'll be using a 20 point buy and shall start with the average amount of gold for your class + 50.

Hmm, can I ask I use invisible castle for rolls? I don't use my home computer as much any more and it would be a pain, to have to sign up to three websites just to play one game. (myth, this one of course, and Orkos,) invisible castle allows you to link the rolls, and shows how many time the person rolled.

Anyway I'll start working on a PC now. Just have to make up my mind on a race and class....grr.

What level are we starting at?

Acceptable. I just chose Orokos because it was the first I saw.

We start at level 1. I dunno how high we'll go in terms of levels. Maybe all the way to 20 if we last that long.

Might I recommend an orc? :p

Lucky for you I have had a craving to play something barbaric since I'm rereading LOTR trilogy. Uruk-Hai ftw anyone?

But darn that really narrows down possible races for ppl to pick from for baddies, seeing as goody two shoe races are mostly off the table, allot of evil races have that one annoying lvl adj, Just to name a few off the top of my head.

Gnoll's, Bugbears, Lizardfolk, Tiefling (unfair they give this race one in my opinion), Hobgoblins (lovable hobgoblins!), not to mention more sinister evil races like drow (they do deserve that lvl adj though), and even the evil dwarf counterparts, Duergar, have one lvl adjustment. That leaves out almost 70% of the more common evil buggers. Maybe take away some of their boons? Idk, but it's up to you as the GM, not sure if anyone wants to play those anyway, I did have a mind to play a hobgoblin but that probably wont happen.

I'll consider waving adjustments for some of the races and tweak them on a player by player basis. Hobgoblins don't seem to deserve theirs all things considered, so you can ignore it if you'd like to make one.

I echo the comment earlier that many of the 'evil' races are not really available if we start at level 1 due to LA and ECL

I'm still willing to wave some of them. I'm just too lazy to go through every race and approve some. If you'd like to play as one with a LA then ask me and I'll consider it. c:

I think some got lvl adj just to discourage ppl from playing them, since their evil, as allot have less abilities then a dwarf.... That's my conspiracy theory at least.

Yo Rap, what are you playing as? Might help me decide race and role. Got a nice idea for tiefling mage I want to try, or a orc, or a leader type hobgoblin.

Hmm, only the base book limits races a little.

Any chance of getting stats for kobolds, gnolls, and drow? I feel that might help open up class possibilities as well.

Kobolds get -2 str, +2 int.

Gnolls get +2 str, +2 con, -2 cha and -2 int. They also lose their +1 natural armor.

Drow get +2 to dex, +2 int, -2 str and -2 con. They lose their spell resistance and spell like ability.
