Serena flinched and said “I don’t know how much longer I’m going to last…” Trish took Chas’s hand and said “she’s still in pain?” Serena held onto Josh, shaking.

John nodded and said “let’s start by getting her up here and sleeping. I might see if I have any slow healing spells around here…”

"let's get you upstairs to whatever John has managed to do to help you out" Josh told her, not knowing what else he could possibly suggest. He saw how Trish had gravitated to Chas which he didn't mind as something told him Chas was more than trustworthy with such a you g child.

"it'll be okay Trish. I promise" Chas reassured her, giving her hand a little reassuring squeeze. He was so used to having children be worried and always knew what to do, because of his own daughter. "hey, why don't I show you a really cool room in this place?" he suggested.

Kay nodded, thinking it was the best idea to do. She headed downstairs with him and back to where Josh and Serena were. She saw how Serena was looking and frowned slightly out of concern." we've warded your room so you can sleep with no interruptions from anything. John reckons he has a slow healing spell or something around to help also. But we just gotta get you to your room so you can sleep" she explained.

Trish smiled and nodded at him, looking up at his face. Serena looked at josh snd nodded weakly. “Might…be best…it’s hard to focus again..”

When the others came down she tried to get up on her own and swayed a little. “Don’t over do it John…I’ll be fine…you’ve taxed yourself as it is with all you’ve already done today…and after almost dying yourself…” she flinched and John saved his hand. “Up you go, Ms. you have to get better”

Chas made sure it was okay with Josh first and when he got the nod of okay, Chas then took Trish to the little garden Kay had been shown the other day. He figured because it was bright and had pretty flowers/trees, Trish would like it. He kept ahold of her hand as they walked, him giving Kay and John a nod of acknowledgement as they passed each other, and opened the door to the garden.

Josh instantly stretched his arms out to help catch Serena as she swayed, not wanting her to fall over on his watch. "I'll take her" he offered, putting one of her arms round his waist and held her up as he took her, with her guidance on where her room was, to her room.

Kay perched on the arm rest of the couch when Josh took Serena to her room to rest and sighed. She was relieved that the worst seemed to be over for the time being and they could at least have a moment to breathe before the next thing.

Trishs went wide as they walked outside into the garden. She smiled and looked around then said “it’s so pretty…my mom owned a green house…she loved plants and flowers…anything that grew out of the ground…” she paused and looked down for a moment. “I miss her…and papa…”

Serena lead him to her room and sighed as he helped her to the bed. She rubbed her face and said “sorry…it’s not normally this bad…I hate to be a burden…”

John nodded and looked at Kay. “Let’s go find that spell shall we?” He smiled, starting to look a little worn out.

Chas smiled as he saw the garden making Trish happy as he listened to her speak of her mother and father. "How long have you and Josh been without your parents?" he asked her, curious to what she would remember. "Missing them means you haven't forgotten them. It may hurt but missing your parents is a good thing as it means they're still in your heart" he explained to her, squatting down to her level.

Josh sat on the edge of her bed, not wanting to be smothering to her as they just met, but he didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone either. "Don't be sorry, it's okay" he replied to her. "You're not a burden" he added to her.

Kay nodded but then she noticed how worn out he was starting to look. "Sure you don't wanna just rest for a little while first? You look pretty beat" she told him.

Trish wiped her eyes and said “it’s only been two years now…I remember now but I’m scared I won’t when I’m older…they just vanished…they just never came home…” a couple tears ran down her cheeks. “Josh has had to give up so much…it’s not fair…”

Serena smiled softly and said “your sweet…it’s been a very hard few days…I’m not sure my body can take anything else…” she looked at the blankets and held them In her hands. “Im worried I won’t be able to keep up…”

John shook his head and said “I’m alright…just need to get this done so I can help look into what could be going on in Seattle…” he turned and yawned, resting his hand on the wall.

Chas listened to Trish talk about her parents and how she thought it was unfair Josh had to step up as her brother and parents all in one. He really felt sorry for the kid and couldn't imagine how something like this would effect his own daughter Geraldine if anything should happen to both him and Renee. He only had so many extra lives after all and Renee had the one. He hugged Trish and wiped her tears, "Josh has done that because he loves you Trish. It's what families do." he told her softly.

Josh let Serena speak what was on her mind, always finding he was an easy listener to people, especially since he took over raising Trish. "hey..." he started saying, placing his hands on hers that were holding the blankets. "you are a badass. What I witnessed you accomplish saving my kid sister in the hospital was utterly incredible. Its no wonder you'd be drained after that. You did it all whilst being injured yourself. I have no doubt that you'll be able to keep up." he told her." you just need some sleep, that's all" he added, not realising that he was rubbing his thumbs against the backs of her hands.

Kay sighed at John's stubbornness to not rest and feel determined to just plow through with what they needed to do. "fine.. But if you get any more tired I'm gonna nag you until you get a nap in. Only after then shall we deal with Seattle" she told him defiantly. She didn't want him burning himself out, knowing if he didn't get well rested then he wouldn't be able to concentrate to his best ability which is what always causes mistakes.

Trish sniffed into his shirt and said “his the best brother…but he doesn’t deserve to have to be a father and mother as well…he should go to school and finish his degree and be free…not have to work three jobs and help me…”

Serena looked up and smiled at him, moving to hold his hand in one of hers. “Thank you josh…you’ve been a great help and we only met you today…and you’ve had to take in a lot as well…thank you for being understanding and not flying off the handle”

John nodded and headed to the map, looking it over carefully. “We need to figure out which god this symbol is for…then we can find the vessel from that info…”

Chas sighed as he listened to Trish say just what Josh has to do to keep a roof over their heads. For him to be able to raise Trish and never do wrong by her. He wished there was some way he could help them but he just didn't know how. "he wouldn't have done it if he didn't want to, I'm sure. I know it feels like it's not fair, and it's not. But I think he's doing a fantastic job from little I've seen to keep you safe and healthy" he told her.

Josh smiled sheepishly when she thanked him. "I'm used to having to take in a lot at short notice. I wouldn't fly off the handle because there's nothing to fly off the handle about. Sure, I'm shocked this is all real and Trish was right all round" he smirked, lifting a hand up and scratching the back of his head. "but you guys have done nothing but keep her safe, after saving her life. For that I'm in debted to you."he finished saying.

Kay followed him to the map and looked at it, "you said before that it could be a guardian, because of it being silver. Maybe start looking at some books that have information on guardian symbols?" she suggested.

Trish moved back a little and nodded. “He has…been amazing…I just wish I could do more then just worry him…he needs more then just me in his life…” she wiped her tears.

Serena smiled and said “it was my pleasure to save you both from the evil that surrounds us…it’s the positive thing about my job. I get to help anyone and everyone I can…” she flinched and held her side, cursing softly.

John nodded and tapped the map. “It’s silver…but the symbol itself is one of a GOD…I just can’t remember which one uses this one…that’s what we have to find”

"you're a very smart kid for someone so young Trish and I'm sure he'll find someone soon enough when he finds it's the right time" Chas replied to her, thinking how lovely it was that she was so worried about her big brother. He gave her another hug after she wiped her tears. "Things will be better Trish, I promise" he told her.

Josh smiled at her when she said it was a case of doing her job but it meant so much to him than that. After losing his parents, there was no way he could lose his baby sister as well. When she winced at her side, he looked concerned at her, "you okay? Do you need anything?" he asked her.

Kay nodded, "okay, so where are your books on various Gods? Let's start there" she told him, turning toward his book shelves.

Trish nodded and smiled at him. “Do you think Serena likes him? I know he has a crush on her…I can tell”

Serena shook her head and said “no…I’m just sore…it’s been a bad few days…I think I need to try and heal…but I don’t want to be alone…”

John looked towards the den and said “middle shelf by the desk” he was looking at the map and think as he rubbed his head fighting off a headache.

Chas chuckled at the innocence of Trish's words, it was such a typical little kid sibling thing to say in his opinion and he no doubt had suspicions that trish would try and make something happen between them. "I don't know kiddo, maybe Kay and Serena spoke about it earlier, she'd be the better person to ask" he told her.

Josh nodded, "I can uhh....stay here if...if you want?" he suggested sheepishly. "I can just sit on that chair over there o-or something" he said, not wanting to come across as someone who was trying to lay in her bed next to her as he really wasn't that kind of bloke.

Kay nodded and walked over to the shelf in question, gently running her fingertips along the spines to find any books that could possibly help them. Finding a couple, she pulled them from the shelf and brought them over, handing one to John. "lets start with these two" she said to him.

Trish smiled and nodded. “Maybe…but she is with John right? Are they a couple yet?” She moved to looked at the flowers again, her hands behind her back.

Serena smiled and said “that would be very kind of you, Josh…just till I am totally asleep? I would feel a lot better if I wasn’t alone…” she looked at him and her cheeks went red.

John nodded and turned the map to get another look. “It has wings of some kind…maybe? Dang it do you see a pair of glasses anywhere?” He rubbed his eyes, cursing a little.

Chas smiled and then chuckled at Trish's comment and question about Kay and John, watching her walk around to see the flowers. "you know what? I actually don't know whether they are or not. They both blantsntly like each other. John called her a keeper once, but I don't think they've actually said anything to make it official yet." he replied to her. "John is a complicated character. It's been a long time since he's let himself feel anything for anyone" he added.

Josh nodded, "sure, until you're asleep" he smiled at her, slowly moving his hand up and stroking her cheek. There was just something so hynoptic about her that drew him in. He hadn't felt like that toward someone in a long time, if at all. "get some sleep" he told her, leaning down an dissing her forehead before sitting up again.

Kay couldn't help but lean over when he mentioned about the symbol, trying to see what he did, and she could see what he was on about. She looked up and looked around trying to find some glasses, before locking her eyes on a pair. Stepping over to them, she picked them up and handed them to him. "here" she said, "didn't take you for someone who needed glasses" she remarked.

Trish stopped and looked back at him. “What do you mean? Did it end badly before?”

Serena leaned into his hand and sighed, blushing again as he kissed her forehead. She nodded and smiled at him, pulling up and covers and starting to lay down. She flinched a little as her movements hit her wounds but she was able to find a place that worked. She looked at him again and asked “what were you going to school?”

John slipped them on and said “only when I get headaches…and drive in the dark. It’s why Chas does the driving most of the time…too many blasts in my time with bright lights. Caused a little eye damage. This looks more Greek then Norse, try the sections on the Greek and Roman gods”

Chas sighed, not sure if he could explain the history of John Constantine without freaking the kid out. "something like that, he doesn't usually have much luck with relationships. But maybe that's because he hadn't met Kay yet." he decided to say, choosing his words carefully.

Josh waited for her to gget comfortable and then got up and went to the chair in the corner of the room to give her room in her bed." huh? How did you know me going to school? "he asked, not remembering ever telling her such a thing about himself.

Kay nodded at his explanation, strangely finding the glasses suiting him if it was seeming weird at first. At the suggestion of checking the Greek and roman sections, she opened the book and flipped to the section, starting at the Greek section first. She placed the book down on the table, running her finger down the page looking at all the symbols as she went, cross checking them as she went.

Trish nodded and said “she is her lobster?” She paused at a huge flower and smiled, carefully touching the petals. “True love…souls mates…”

Serena smiled and flinched again. “Trish was talking about it before with Kay…and my shadows hear everything. I don’t miss much”

John looked over her shoulder, their faces almost touching as he asked “anything come up yet?”

Chas didn't quite get the lobster reference, but he was certain if he told his wife or his daughter, they would understand it. Yet with the added comments as Trish looked at a particularly large flower, he managed to piece the pieces together and get it. "It's very possible yeah. From what we know they were destined to meet each other. I've definitely not seen him the way he is when she's near him for a long time. I know when he truly starts to feel something for someone, and it's obvious to me he feels something for her. As well as her to him." he explained, hoping he was making sense to such a young child.

Josh nodded and smiled sheepishly at her, "oh right" he said, remembering about her shadows. "I was going to study music, even got accepted for a three year course when our folks died. Never got to actually go but I don't regret it. Trish is my world" he told her honestly. "Even if it means I have to have three jobs to be able to raise her" he added.

When John looked over her shoulder, almost touching her face as he did so, she could feel his breath on her cheek and she felt her heart race just a little bit. she kept herself calm on the outside as she looked down the page. "A couple of possibilities that are close but not sure if they're exact" she said back to him, pointing at the two she found.
