So, in short, the story is this. It is the dawn of the Fifth Era in Tamriel. The Empire is broken, leaving only Cyrodiil as its main power. However, after the death of the previous emperor, a power vacuum has led to civil war between two factions, Loyalists to the Old Empire and Radical Extremists. The other provinces have seceded and are now at war with each other. Hammerfell and High Rock are having a border dispute. Morrowind is pushing its armies into Black Marsh. Elsweyr and Valenwood are under siege by the Aldmeri Dominion. And Skyrim has become an independent warrior monarchy worshipping the Last Dragonborn as a Divine.
After suffering a major defeat in the Second Great War, the Thalmor has retreated to the Summerset Isle, quietly rebuilding their military power and political influence through espionage, sabotage, and assassination.
Meanwhile, dragons have resurged across the realm, attacking cities and causing widespread chaos.
The Blades, after years of rebuilding in the shadows, have come out publicly as dragon hunters, making their base of operations in the newly rebuilt Cloud Ruler Temple.
It is here where the RP begins. Your characters are recruits of the Blades, sent out on their first dragon-hunting mission. But as the story goes on, they begin to discover there is more to the return of the dragons--a debilitating truth that threatens not just Tamriel--but the entirety of Mundus.
