[IC] One Piece: The New Crew

As soon as he heard a voice, Hawking stepped into a small shadow to avoid detection He didn't know if it was Scarlet or someone else, due to the quietness of the voice, but he was sure that it was feminine. After hearing the voice once again, he smirked as he looked from the shadows and waiting until she finished turning before moving out of the shadows and standing almost behind her. "You still need rest. I'll take the wheel. I've gotten enough sleep as it is."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Wolf was panting, sweat running down her face. "I'm fine...the change just startled me..." She closed her eyes, her back aching worse as another wave hit her and she flinched. "I'm alright..."

[pyroman]

Hawking shook his head as he looked at her and moved around her so that he could put a hand on the helm and looked at her. "Get some rest." He said with a little more authority. "That attack took a number on you and I had to use your shadow to find out since Dante was knocked to the ground."

[MegaraFoxfire]

She looked at him and sighed, closing her eyes again. "What did my shadow say?"

[pyroman]

"Just what happened while you were unconscious." he told her calmly.

[MegaraFoxfire]

She looked at him, then stumbled back and said "Take over...I can't stay up any more..." She leaned against the mast, closing her eyes again. "I heard the plan you guys had last night...there's nothing in the wound...nothing big enoguh to take out anyway...the blade broke in my back and I used my powers to get it out...then flung it away and...well..."

[pyroman]

"Well...?" He echoed her curiously as he fully took the help and looked at her. Even if there wasn't much to look at in her back, the pain that she had made Hawking feel like it was at least worth a shot to see if he, Dante, and Dante's relative could do anything about it. He wanted to try any help in any way that he could, and he was willing to look in there even if there wasn't anything to look at.

[MegaraFoxfire]

She said weakly "There might be shards...when the stone...broke...Hawking..." She slid down the mast, shaking. "I need...Dante...I can't move..."

[pyroman]

Hawking nodded at Wolf and quickly left the helm to go and get Dante where he last remembered the man. After finding him, Hawking shook him lightly to wake him up and began to drag him a little to get closer to Wolf. "Let's go, Dante. Wolf needs you."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Dante woke up and grabbed his arm, waking up. Once he heard him and jumped up, running to Wolf and checking her over. "You need to rest boss...your body is over taxed...you shouldn't be up here..." He looked at Hawking and said "She's getting worse..."

[pyroman]

"I can see that Dante." Hawking said bluntly as he manned the ship once more and kept his eyes on Dante. "Do we stay in this direction to get to your uncle?" He asked the man.

[MegaraFoxfire]

He nodded, helping Wolf lay down and covered her with his jacket. "I wish I knew what was going on...I wish I understood her powers..."

[pyroman]

Simon nodded at him and sighed. "I wish that I did as well. I think that there's more to it than just her powers, but it's all speculation. I very well could be wrong though..."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Dante looked up at him and said "Maybe if we put our minds together, we can come up with something" Wolf was asleep already, her breathing swallow

[pyroman]

Hawking sat silent for a moment before looking out at the open sea. "I guess whenever the operation takes place, I could talk to her shadow to see what kind og diagnostics I can get when tools aren't enough... Maybe I could use possession to keep her in place if things get rough.. I don't know.."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Dante looked down at her and said "none of this should have happened....she took the hit for someone else....jack was turning in the crew but was going to get him and wolf off....when we found out we went after jack and he grabbed the closest thing....but wolf moved I to the way...."

[pyroman]

"I see..."" Hawking muttered as he steered the ship onward and glanced over at Dante as he told his tale. He now understood what Scarlet meant when she was talking earlier. He was slowly losing hope about if the operation would work or not, but he still stood strong, as he couldn't let himself slip up in such a moment.

[MegaraFoxfire]

Dante looked at her, then said "Wait...the water...she hit the..." He turned to Hawking and said "What happens to those who eat the fruit when water gets into the body? Not thru the mouth"

[pyroman]

Hawking have Dante a curious and confused look, wondering why the man was talking about the nonetheless, he gave him the answer. "When water hits a devil fruit user on the outside of their skin, it causes their power to act up. The bigger amount of water, the longer or worse they'll act up."

[MegaraFoxfire]

He cursed and said "She hit the water when the navy came after us...only for a few moments...but I hadn't gotten to her wound yet...it was still open...would that cause a problem?"
