The Bronze Brigade: In the beginning [Fantasy / Medieval]

The city of bronze, Bardum is the capital of the kingdom of Amuldor. It's ancient, it's history being thousands of years. It got it's moniker from the early smiths and mines in the city, the first ones to start using their special bronze alloy, making their weapons superior to all other. Bardum is ruled by a the Regernos, as it's been for all time. Three generations ago, however, something very specific happened in the kingdom. The king of the time, Jach Regernos, constituted a new military force, they would be the greatest the kingdom had to offer. They'd be the special force of the country. The ones you sent in to solve a problem before it could escalate.

They were to be known as the Bronze Brigade. Jach was a powerful warrior himself, and he handpicked the most suited warriors in the kingdom and taught them his ways. The Bronze Brigade blossomed. They became cherished, previously nameless soldiers were now hailed as role models, idols, champions, protectors of the people and champions of justice. And with each generation, there were new aspiring warriors brought into the Bronze Brigade.

For three generations the Bronze Brigade's been the symbol of truth, justice and Bardumial way, and now it's your turn, an aspiring warrior in the army of Bardum to become one of the newest cadets.

Details regarding the city will be given in the OOC. The RP promises many twists and turns, and to explore a big world that you will be a part of creating.

For magic / setting, it's something simililar to Final Fantasy 4 / 5. Mostly medieval with a few steampunk-ish elements to it. Mages aren't super common.
Most questions will be answered once I have the OOC up, though, and I'd like to wait for a few more people before getting to the OOC.

Side note, I haven't done a fantasy RP in forever and a day, so if anyone with a bit more experience with the genre under their belt wanna co-Gm, shoot me a PM.

Interested, I do like the idea of being a recruit for basically the special forces of a nation. One question though, our characters are our characters suppose to be top of the class or perhaps we could have some underdogs mixed in there?

Everyone need to have a redeeming quality, something that puts them in a class of their own.

You could be shitty at swordplay if you're an awesome tactican, for instance.

They would be soldiers. So killing would probably be on the agenda of what they'd be required to do.
You could have your character living with the ideal of never taking a life, as they would be a cadet, not a fully fledged warrior of the Brigade.

Besides, monsters will be more common than killing humans.

Would she still be able to be considered a elite since she has strong shaman like power.

I'll see it fit depending on the useage of magic I enforce in the OOC. But as of right now, I suppose I could see the concept working. It mostly comes down to how it gets represented in your Sheet.
