Killian looked at all of them. "I'm not coming out this time there's very little that can be done at this point. They shot me with wood, it's in my blood steam. Getting here to warn you just made it worse. I came here for my own selfishness aswell. I wanted to be able to say what I needed to say." He said amd started coughing uncontrollably eventually coughing up blood.

Bruce only closed his eyes, letting out a breath. "Peter lessen his pain at least. It's the least we can do, for what you've done for us for these past few years." He looked through the faces of his pack his eyes lingering on max, then continuing and landing on Luna he didn't know what she thought of all of this.

Max looked at Killian starting to tear up. "You better not fucking die on me." She said trying to hold back from crying. Killian looked up at her and laughed painfully. "Sorry kid but it looks like that`s what it`s come too. I`ve lived long enough anyway. The only reason I had for staying was to take care of you. Now your all grown up and you have other people to take care of you and that you can rely on. I`ve done the job that was given to me." He said looking up at her with a peaceful smile. "Stay strong, make sure this pack is always together. I know I`m leaving you in good hands." He said and Max shook her head. "I don`t want you to go." "I`ll see you again someday Max in whatever strange afterlife our kinds belong." He said before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath after that it all stopped.

Bruce Bruce looked at Killian, he let out a long breath before he got to his knees next to max. "Max he won't be forgotten......he was a good man that much I can tell to betray his coven to help us that took a lot to do. He's at peace I can tell that much max, but your not alone none of us are he will be watching over you max."

Max looked at Bruce tears threatening to spill out of her eyes. "He`s gone, my last family member is gone." She said starting to breath heavily before starting to cry. She didn`t care if any of them saw. Killian had been there for her her entire life and now the only family member she grew up with was gone. As far as she knew there were no other family members. The reason behind that she didn`t know. They were vampires maybe that was the reason although that didn`t make sense for her father`s side of the family.

Bruce pulled her toward him, allowing her for her to bury her face into his heat if she wanted to. He knew what it felt like to lose family, he knew what it felt like he had lost his mother and brother. He let out a sigh, the rest of the pack had there heads bowed.

Max hugged him burying her face in his shirt. She knew one day this could have happened she just wasn`t expecting it so soon. It wasn`t fair! This war was becoming unbearable. The only thing that could be taken away from her now was her pack and Bruce. If that happened she wouldn`t know what to do though. It wouldn`t even be right to live on at that point.

Bruce kept his arms around max, he looked from Hannah to Michael, and Peter along with luna he didn't know what the girl made of this. He let out a sigh, as he kept his arms around max. He was trying to give comfort to his mate as best as he could.

Luna looked at them thoughts going through her head. Being the youngest the only pain of death she knew was the lose of Justin and her mom. Even then it wasn`t in front of her. Killian died trying to protect them even in his final moments he had more concerned about all of them rather then himself. Was that what it was like to die in battle? Lycans could only die a couple ways. Was it always so horrible in the final moments?
Max held on to him as she tried taking deep breaths to calm herself down. Just when things were getting better this happens. It was a big set back from a happy beginning.

Peter closed his eyes, it was like Justin had died all over again. He knew what pain like this felt like, so did Bruce. He looked down at his daughter, he didn't want to lose her like that or something of the rather. Bruce kept his arms around max, it had to be really hard on her right now, he knew the hurt would fade but never truly heal.

Luna looked up at Peter her eyes saying what wouldn`t be said. The question that was in both of their heads if it would happen to either of them. Max eventually stopped crying after quite awhile. She took deep breaths and kept her face against his chest not wanting to move. If she moved then the reality of it all would sink in. Right now it was like Sena was raising up a angry side of her while she herself just felt sad.

Bruce put his head on top of max's, not feeling her shaking against him with sobs. He knew his shirt was wet, but he didn't pull back from her. Peter let out a sigh, before he nodded to his daughters gaze, they would live long and good lives before they went down.

"I`m sorry about your shirt." Max said quietly starting to calm down. Although she was still tensed up not yet relax. Her body wanted to shift and run away for awhile but right now she had other responsibilities. "I need to borrow one of the shovels. Only I can dig his final resting place. It`s one of the things he`s told me about my family over the years."
Luna gave Peter a small smile before looking down at the ground in sadness. Killian had been a friend to all of them. He`d been the vampire to teach her at a young age that not everything about vampires was bad. They had many good qualities about them too just like everyone did.

Bruce nodded to that, "Michael grab one of the shovels." He let out a sigh, "max I don't really care about my shirt I'm just hoping your gonna be ok screw my shirt it's something I can replace, but I can't replace you." Michael came back with the shovel in hand, and laid it down by Bruce.

Max grabbed the shovel and stood up. "I have to go dig his grave. I won`t go far." She said her voice holding nothing in it. Her heart felt too heavy to feel anything right now. If so she`d probably cry and at the moment she was still trying to recover from crying before. It was a never ending loop of sadness on her part.

Bruce nodded to that, "alright then." He got back on his, feet he let out a sigh. He knew this was hard on her, he grabbed the axe, he knew the others were mourning over losing a brother to the pack so would he. Though he had to be the strong one for the pack, he started cutting the bark on the tree again.

Luna went back to work just like everyone else in the pack. Although she was still sad so was everyone else but they had to get this done. From the smell of things it would be raining tomorrow at the latest.
Max measured Killian with the length of the shovel before walking out of the clearing. She looked for a nice place that would be decent enough for him. This wasn`t just some project. This would be his final resting place and she had to make sure it looked nice. The tradition of their family was that the oldest living child in the generation after the deceased would dig the grave and take care of the burial. Since she was the only known child it was left up to her to do the task. Just as her uncle had to bury her parents.

Bruce started helping getting the wood panels onto the roof, then started getting the shingles into place. While Michael and Greg started hauling the walls into place of the house, while the rest went to work on getting the floor into place. Bruce's mind was in other places for now, with how the pack looked they deserved the rest from this war they all did.

Max found a open clearing surrounded by trees. The clearing was filled with wild flowers The over growth above let in light here and there making it lit just enough for the flowers to be able to grow. She used the shovel and started to dig a hole big enough. After a couple hours the hole was complete with the dirt neatly on the side. Max walked back to where they were building the house looked down at Killian not sure what to do. She didn`t want to bury him in the ground without proper burial.

Bruce looked over at max, he let out a sigh. Jumping down from the roof and walking over, "you don't want to bury him without a proper burial do you the reason I know is because you kinda broadcasted it over in the mate bond."
