Max looked over at him and nodded. "Yeah, I don`t think it would be right to just put him in the ground and be done with it. His body won`t decompose but it still makes me want to do a proper burial. I guess you could say it`s one of the human sides of me." She said softly.

Bruce nodded to that, the rest of the pack started showing up behind him. "I think the pack wants to pay there respects to him for him helping us through this war." Nods were given behind him, "you will have a burial service and will help you max."

Max turned around and smiled sadly at all of them. "Thank you, all of you, I couldn`t ask for a better pack." She said and looked down at Killian`s body. "We need to construct a simple coffin. Kind of fitting for the vampire stereotype." She joked a little bit of her coming out through her sadness.

Bruce nodded to that, before he grabbed his axe and threw one towards Peter. "Come on peter I think the tree we. Found a few hours ago." He walked toward the woods peter following him, he started to swing the axe into the wood of an oak tree while Peter hit the other side.

Max, Luna, and Hannah lifted Killian`s body and brought him to the river nearby. All of them washed the blood off of him and Max put a new set of clothes on him with Hannah`s help that she`d grabbed from the truck. Killian had been close to all of them over the years. Once all of them started working together seven years ago he was always welcome in the pack. All of them cared about him not just Max.

Bruce had gotten the coffin done, he and Peter with Greg and Michael lifted the coffin and started to carry it over to where the rest of the pack was. It was a dark brown coffin from the oak he kept it the same color. Killian had told him about the symbols of the hunters and he had carved that into the lid in the middle.

The three girls carried Killian to the clearing and met everyone else there. They laid him in the coffin. Max took one of the two necklaces around her neck off and slid it around his neck. The two necklaces had been her mother`s. The one she gave him had the hunters sign on it made of a gold pendant with the sign craved into it. The one Max kept on was a crescent moon shape made out of a light blue diamond. Killian had given her them a couple years ago saying her mother would have wanted her to have them even though the hunters one was meant for a hunter.

Bruce watched max, as she put the necklace around killians neck. He let a small sigh of sadness escape him, before he and Peter put the lid back on and started to lower the coffin into the ground. He made a gravestone for killian also, once that was done he would let max put the dirt over the coffin.

Max watched as the coffin was lowered into the ground. She picked up the shovel once it was down there and put the dirt back into the hole. It took her awhile but that would just have to do. Once she finished with the dirt she back away from the grave and waited till they put the grave stone in.

Bruce had Peter do it, he put his hands on max's shoulders. As he watched Peter put the gravestone in place, he took a shaky breath killian had been like a brother to him. Even though they didn't get along at first they slowly became friends and he became like a brother to him.

Max looked up at him before wrapping her arms around his waist resting her head on his shoulder as she watched. She`d thought Killian would would have always been there through out all the changes and difficulties in her life, all the firsts and lasts. Now the person that raised her was gone. He had been like her father and older brother at the same time. He`d taken on the responsibility of raising a hybrid even though as a hunter it was one of the worst things you could allow to live. For her he was a lot more then just her goofy uncle.

Bruce put his arms around max, killian knew what he was from the beginning and he let him live even though hunter code said kill any supernatural that comes into your home. He understood hunter code because he mother was a hunter she had taught him about the hunters before she had died.

Max sat in silence with the rest of them after the gravestone had been put in place. She knew this would be a good place for his soul to rest. It was one of the beautiful places in this forest. It wasn`t that far from the pack`s new home either. Any of them could visit it and relax or even talk to the grave even if no one would talk back. Some times the best conversation is the one you say to nothing but yourself.

A few days had passed the house was finally finished, now Bruce and Greg were hauling in the couch from his truck, sweat was beading down his forehead as he kept his grip on the couch. They finally got it into the living room, they set it down. Bruce collapsed on the couch tired while Greg went to his room.

The last few days Max talked little still trying to figure out how to deal with the loss. Everyday she was starting to get better about it though. At the moment was she putting books on the bookcases in the study upstairs. With the new house they had opportunities to make better plans rather then make the house as fast as they could. It still had to be made fast but they could take the time to look over it a bit better and figure stuff out. She heard Bruce and Greg finally get the couch into the living room and finished what she was doing before walking down stairs the folded up boxes in her hands. Walking over to the couch she stopped next to it looking down at Bruce. "Well someone seems tired." She joked.

Bruce let out. a sigh, he looked up at max. Before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her down onto the couch with him. He lifted her face to his, he smiled at her. "Try lifting a really heavy couch and not see that your not tired afterwards," he joked before capturing her lips with his. He never got tired of it, they were soft and gentle against his.

Max let out a small squeak as he pulled her on to the couch and looked down at him before he kissed her. She kissed him back smiling softly before pulling away and looking him in the eyes. "Oh come on this couch couldn`t really be that heavy." She teased him feeling a little happier now that she talking to him. It didn`t matter what they talked about it just made her happy to talk to him.

Bruce laughed at that, "awe you ruined my fun" he said with fake hurt in his voice. Still he already knew that max knew he was faking it because of the mate bond between them. He smiled, as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Aww poor baby," Max joked looking at him her arms on either side of him. "How`s your day been today?" She asked seeing as it was getting into the late afternoon. All she`d really done today was organize things around the house and find appropriate places of them. Maybe move furniture here and there but everything was coming together and pretty much done though.

Bruce smiled to that, "I've been having a good day so far you've made my day so far though." He tilted his head to the side, before letting out a sigh. " I don't know what I would do without you in my I life if you weren't I probably would be already dead."
