He should be at the bus stop by now. Did he decide to try to walk here and end up lost? She hadn't been too worried at first, her brother was always late to everything and he already told her that his flight had been delayed but it had been a long time since then which made worry start to chew at her.Maybe I should have waited at the bus stop for him instead of trusting that he would call once he made it there. Glancing out her window once again, she noticed how dark the night sky looked compared to normal as clouds started to build up and made it look as though it was threatening to rain. She grabbed a hold of her phone, punching in his number as she started to pace back and forth in her living room."Come on Kal, pick up. Please pick up!" she pleaded into her phone before hearing a click. "Hello?" the voice answered which made a flood of relief fill her. "Hey, where are..." she started to ask before Kaleb's voice cut in again, "Sorry I'm not here right now but leave me a message and I'll be sure to get back to you. Be ready, the beep is coming!" his voice said through the automated system before a loud long beep sang through the phone. She hung up the phone, sighing in frustration before grabbing her keys and sailing out the door, only stopping to lock it.

It didn't take her long to get into the car, buckling up and pulling out of the drive way. It was only a few blocks away from her home but if it was going to rain then they both didn't need to be walking in it plus it wasn't always safe at dark. She just couldn't wait to see him.

Kaleb wished he had been more careful but how was he suppose to know which one of them had gone rogue. He thought out of most that this person could be trusted but obviously he had been wrong. Now he was stuck at the bus station, trying to convince the other that they really didn't want to do this and that they could work it out. He wanted to talk them away from here, suggest they go somewhere else and see if they could be saved from the dark thoughts they were heading in. "Don't do anything rash. Please, there is still hope for you if just don't do this." Kaleb spoke calmly. "Shut it! Always the goody goodie aren't you?! I'm not here to talk. Just hand over the relic and you won't have to die." the person hissed back angrily.
"We both know that is a lie." Kaleb said bravely but on the inside he was full of panic. The phone in his pocket was buzzing again which meant his sister could be close to coming into this dangerous situation only she would be literally blind to it all. If he could just give away the relic and walk away safely then he would have if it kept a loved one safe but it couldn't be that way. He knew the other wanted the power of the relic he held but the only way to get it was to kill the person that wielded it seeing as how the relic bonded with the person if the conditions were right which is why the Elders had to pick the nine people very carefully. Only those nine could use the relics or at least those that they knew of and each only had one relic to bond with. The person in front of him had killed another, now holding two of the relics which made it hard to see himself winning a fight.
"Fine, I'll just take it by force then."
Kaleb hadn't even had time to think or react in defense when suddenly a sharp pain exploded in his chest. He screamed, gripping his chest as he lay on the ground from the force of the attack. He could feel the blood gushing through his fingers and he knew that he would probably find a nice hole in his chest if he was to look down. A hospital couldn't help him now even if he was able to get up and run away, plus who would he be able to call to save his life...he couldn't think. It was like everything was slowing down and everything was slowly going out of focus. Looking up, all he could see was the face of his killer and the look of glee as they grabbed hold of his neck to take what they so desperately wanted. Suddenly, he heard something that cleared his sense almost completely and made dread fill him.
"KALEB!" a voice rang out, terror laced in with it. He didn't want her here, not now when there was nothing she could do to save him and with someone he couldn't protect her from. It was surprising when his killer moved away from his sight, making him pray that his sister wasn't going to follow after him in death but the next thing he knew was that she was by his side with tears in her eyes. Kaleb looked into those green eyes so much like his own and smiled weakly.

She had pulled up to a parking lot not far from the bus stop, grabbing her purse after she parked the car. The walk outside was nice but she wasn't ignorant of the dangers that could happen to a woman out alone at night. It was one of the reason she kept protection in her purse, just to scare someone off and hoped never to have to use it. It seemed fate was against her though because the view she saw at the bus stop had her blood running cold. There was a hooded stranger, knelt down over her brother who didn't seem to be moving other then gripping his chest in pain and the other person holding Kaleb's neck. "KALEB!" she called, fear and panic rushing through her as looked at the scene in front of her. It was then that the other person stood and looked to her, face covered with the hood and the light from the street making the features hard to see but they were walking toward her in a manner that was not comforting. She went to dig in her purse for her gun when the person suddenly stopped, looking up at the distance with irritation and disappearing.

She didn't care why they had gone, all she cared about was her brother and she went to his side as tears formed in her eyes."Help! Someone please!"she called out, looking around for anyone near by. It seemed like there was nothing wrong with him so why was he pressing on his chest for dear life and looking so pale. He looked like he would break if she even touched him and she was afraid. "Hang on Kal! I'll call an ambulance! And..." she said in a hurry, trying to dig her phone out of her pocket but for some reason having trouble. It wasn't until she felt a hand touch hers that she stopped what she was doing to look done at Kaleb. "T-They can't help m-me now." he spoke in rasps, trying to keep from coughing blood even though she wouldn't see anything. "Sue, listen t-to me...I n-need you to take.." Kaleb coughed roughly, blood coming up but his sister just put her hand on his, not even feeling the wetness of the red liquid on her skin. "I need to call the hospital, your not well." Susan replied but was stopped by the hand gripping hers and the serious look her brother had. "This is important. T-Take my necklace. Don't sh-show it to anyone a-and trust no one." he said seriously but his voice getting quieter with every word. "I love you sis."
"I love you too...save your strength."
Susan grabbed her phone, calling 911 and talking to the operator but halfway through the call she noticed her brother's ragged breathing had stopped. She felt as if everything had suddenly stood still and she didn't know how long she cried. Susan couldn't even tell you how long she sat there before the sirens could be heard. She remembered her brothers last words and carefully pulled the necklace out of his shirt, unclasping the back. Susan hide it in her hand, palm still clutched around it before the paramedics had her move out of the way. She already knew he was gone but what surprised her was not the people telling her he was gone, no, it was the sudden hole that had appeared in Kaleb's chest and the pool of blood all around him. It had her shaking and feeling like she was seeing things but now she could feel the wet blood sticking to her hands and the warmth of the red liquid she had set her knees into. Had she been so worried that she over looked all of that?
"What made that hole in his chest?"
"Hole? What hole?" the man said, completely confused.
"You don't see it!?"
"Miss, are you feeling okay?"
"Yes. I'm fine..." Susan said, feeling completely confused, watching as they took her brother away. She slowly made her way home, not even bothering with her car as she wondered through the streets. The rain had started to pour down, not that she really noticed it too much and stopped only when she realized that she had made it home. She pulled her hand from her pocket, looking at the necklace sitting on her palm and looking at the type of stone she had never seen before, tracing the intricate design with her free hand. Why was this so important to you? It doesn't look like anything special.....Why was I the only one to see that wound on your chest? Am I really going crazy? she thought, slipping the necklace around her neck before heading inside.

Aaron hadn't made it in time to save Kaleb and had barely made it in time to stop the woman that found them from the same fate. He had wanted to warn Kaleb that they believed Sarah's murderer was in this area and to be careful but now he was faced with the death of another friend with no time to morn. He could only hope that this murderer hadn't gotten Kaleb's relic yet and that he had time to at least get it back to the Elders. The killer had run, sensing he was there and glaring at him before he fled the scene making him have to chase. Aaron didn't quite understand why the other was running, seeing as they had two relics but maybe the other felt that he was not the only one nearby and thought it safer to flee. He almost caught up to the other, as they jumped from rooftop to rooftop and making sure to keep an eye on the target he followed below. Sadly, luck was not on his side as two shadow reapers spawned in front of him, making it so he had to stop. The creatures made a screeching sound, getting ready to attack as the rain began to fall.
This was why they usually had partners but Sarah was gone and now he was faced with two of these creatures that were circling him like fresh meat. The stone on his bracelet glowing as he readied for battle.

Leela, as usually, arrived late to the scene, too late to help in anyway for Kaleb. She never meant to arrive late, it just sort of happened. She'd get distracted along the way, and somehow, five minutes would be gone. She whistled, seeing Aaron and the two Shadow Reapers. She aproached, grinning at Aaron. "Hiya" She said, "Need a hand?" She glanced briefly at what was left of Kaleb, at the gaping hole. Her green eyes were alight with amusement, her orange hair straight and tied back out of her face.

Her own necklace began to glow, prepared for the fight. Somehow, Leela always managed to come to things right when she was needed, and this was one of them she thought, studying the reapers with a calculating eye. "Two against two, now that seems like a fair fight" She giggled, and waited for the fight to begin.
Ben sighed, weary, staring at his necklace which he held in his hand. "I don't know why I have this thing. I never seem to do anything useful with it. No one has ever attacked me. All I do is wear it and go about by daily life"

And now he was talking to himself. He gave a heavy sigh, looking up, and seeing the girl who seemed to not know she was home. He shifted on his motorbike, just about to start it up. She looked vaguely familiar, and he couldn't tell why.

She slipped something around her neck, and his eyes widened as he saw the stone. Ruin. He knew all the ruin keepers, yet she was not recognisable. Had another keeper died? then was she the one killing them, or..."Kaleb" He swallowed, and debated about going and knocking on the door.

He was already there before he thought that it might be frightening to her. Well, too late. He knocked on the door.

"Leela, perfect timing as always." Aaron replied in relief as he glanced over at the red head but making sure to keep an eye on the screeching creatures that looked ready to pounce. It would be much easier now that she had arrived to even up the score so the battle would be quicker or at least one could hope so. He probably looked like he had already been in a fight since he had been chasing the murderer before the two Shadow Reapers had appeared before Aaron to block him off. His sandy blonde hair even wilder then it normally was while his rich chocolate brown eyes hardened, snapping his full attention the beast in front of him as it start to move forward.

It paced a bit, Aaron waiting for the right moment to dodge as he knew it would probably leap. It snarled, jumping at him with a snap to only catch air as he rolled out of the creatures way. The glowing bracelet shining brighter as he pulled magic from his relic, a small fireball forming in his hand as he chucked it at the back of his target causing it to stubble forward with a sickening noise coming from its mouth before it turned on him riled in anger. He had to make sure to be careful with what he hit.

Susan walked through the house, not caring that she was dripping water all over the floors or the horrible state she was in. Her olive green eyes gazed ahead unfocused on the guest bedroom door while water from her bloody clothes and wet messy dark brown hair helped form puddles in her wake. She felt numb, trying to register what was real or not and wondering if this was some sort of sick dream. She wanted to believe that she had fallen asleep while waiting for the call from her brother. That any second, she would awake or that her brother would come knocking on the door to greet her with a bear hug.

It was about then that a knocking sounded at the door causing her to spin around, as she ran to the door as fast as she could. Susan slipped here and there, thanks to the watered down floor but that didn't stop her. She grabbed hold of the handle of the door, happiness and hope filling her as she yanked open the entrance to her home. "Kaleb!" she yelled excitedly, wanting it so much to be him and laughing about how he had pranked her good this time. Only she was greeted with the sight of a stranger on her steps, which made her quickly fall back to reality that her older twin brother was gone. Susan gripped the necklace she had on, almost as if trying to hide it from view as Kaleb's words rang in her mind plus it gave her comfort to have something of his close. "Sorry...I was...expecting someone else. Can I help you with something?" she asked, a little fearful and a bit untrustworthy of people at the moment.

Leela flashed a smile at Aaron, before returning to look back at the reapers, taking the one that wasn't moving he began to study it, began ti watch it, to see if it would attack. She waited, pondering how she would attack. Lightening she thought, feeling in the mood for charred...whatever the reapers were made off. "Aye" she said, "I can be late for a meeting, and yet, still arrive in time to save your butt" she said, glwncing his way as he dodged his own Shadow reaper.

"Nice" she said, ducking under the leap of her own enemy, the lightening forming in her hands, dancing over her skin and she threw the ball that formed at the target, falling on her back as it leaoed towards her, just slamming the ball unto itself. She brought her feet up and kicked it away, its cries filling her ears. She rolled up, and back onto her feet, her easy smile forming once more, "and to think, Aaron, I was just craving some action. Gotta keep life interesting" but then she pictured Kalebs form, and winced. She would help hunt down their supposed comrade in looking after the relics, and would make sure they paid for this.

She glared at the Reaper she was fighting, and waited for its next attack.
Ben stepped back as she opened the door fast, and feared she would fall over. Blood coared the floor, he could see, and herself as well, and he knew it was hers.

"Kaleb!" Her hopeful and enthausatic shouted made him wince. He could see her crash back down to reality, he hadn't been too sure, but at this, he knew it had been Kaleb that had died, it had been his blood she now wore and coated her floor. Ben knew that Kaleb had a sister.

"Its true then" he said softly, his bi-coloured brown and green eyes growning saddened. "Jesus" he ran a hand through his shaggy black bair, "Kalebs dead?"

Seeing her reaction, her grasping the necklace, and her suspicious aura, he realised how this must look like. He snifted, raising his hand to show his own necklace, his own Relic. "I am a friend of Kalebs, I am sorry for-" he almost got it out before the tears made him stop. In seconds, he had himself under control again. He clearex his throat, "I am sorry for disturbing you. No, no...I don't need any help. Oh, god, you were with him?" That could be the only reason for why she had the relic, and not the one killing them off one by one. Which meant she could be in danger. "Ah, hell. I'm Ben, a friend of Kaleb"
