Fantasy RP based on elemental powers - looking for players to audition

Hello.

I have this idea for a fantasy RP set in an alternate world where the powers of the elements can be harnessed by a chosen few. Every year, these men and women are chosen from the various nations and taken to White Island where they are taught to control and develop their powers.

The story revolves around seven characters, three men and four women, who are brought together by strange twists of fate, human intervention and the forces of purpose; and who are entrusted with a great task, of reforging the Empire that once was, to bring the broken people together for the Great Battle that has been prophesied.

In my head I see a strange mix of Star Wars (jedi order), Avatar (the animated series, not blue aliens), Hunter X hunter and a bit of Norse mythology (the einherjar).

To give you a teaser...

The Book of Faith tells us that humans were created in Sun's garden when He spread his seed of life out of compassion. The first seven humans - three men and four women - were called the Sendai, the Chosen. The Great Star then commanded the Sendai to spread the seed of life across the Ethnoi. Mithir, the first Sendai called Fire to his aid and spread the seeds with passion. Gaya, his sister, coaxed Earth to open up and receive them. Tumla, the second sister, brought Water to nourish them. Maaru, the Great Star's favourite son, watched over the growing population, protecting them with the powers of the Sun. Tamas, the precocious girl, used mischief and illusions to test the will of the humans. Vyan, the scholar among the siblings, created Wind and gave humans the power of speech. And lastly, Savan the youngest brother destroyed the bodies of humans, destroying to create anew.

My god, it's not even the only one. Were you able to write that without giggling like a schoolgirl? If so your mind is more powerful than mine.

~BOING!!!~ K so I haven't been in a RP with ready-made charries before. All sounds very interesting and unique^^ Likes to try it. -nods-nods!- Right. Oh! K but I do have a question: How much of the RP is us being in school on the White Island?

Not much, hopefully. I am creating this whole new world with exotic places and would like the RP to relocate there at some point. However, the RP begins in White Island and not all the seven main characters will be Sendai.

Around what time period is this set in?

It is an alternate world and the RP is set some 700 years after the establishment of the Empire of the Sun. Technology-wise, they are medieval and the elementals (called the Sendai) are forbidden to use their powers to reshape nature. Therefore, much of the manual labour is done without the use of the Spark.

Gunpowder may make an appearance but definitely not pistols and rifles and the like. Horses are the main form of transport though the southern people have been known to use ox carts.

I am still mulling over the first seven characters I want. I don't want to create everything about them. Just enough for you to build on. You are free to interpret them in your own way. I insist on it.

So they will mostly be pointers rather than full-fledged character sheets.
