Eliza was working at the diner and they were a little busier than usual.

She had a smile placed upon her face as she was taking orders at the register. She also had to go out there and meet and greet the customers as well. It was a paying job, so she didn't mind. She had been looking for a place of work and finally found it - So, she basically had no choice but to stay or get kicked out of her apartment. Another smile came over her face as more and more customers came in, which she walked up to them and greeted them. Eliza asked how many and the customer told her, when they did, she grabbed a few menus and told them to follow her. She sat them down at a nearby booth and told them that their server will be with them in a moment.

When she turned around, she accidentally bumped into this male and grabbed a hold of his wrists. His thoughts were running through her head as she let him go. "Uhmm, you..y-y-you have a nice day." She stammered as his emotions were filled with anger because his best friend had slept with his wife. She wanted to help get over the emotional pain, or forget about it all together but she was a little busy at work and didn't have time. Eliza cursed under her breath as she tucked a few strands of her reddish-brown hair behind her ear then continued on walking. She walked to the back and sat down at the desk, holding her hand up and resting it on her temple. Her ears twitched when she heard something about another witch hunt is taking place in the town of Salem. She sighed as she turned it up, wanting to hear every word and detail.

After the broadcaster was done, she got up and went over towards a rack where her purse lied as she scrambled through it, looking for her cell phone. Eliza pulled it out and immediately sent a text message to Heloise. [I'm fixing to go on break. Meet at the cafè ASAP!!!!!] She hit the send button and grabbed her purse, slinging it upon her shoulder. "Hey guys, I'm fixing to go on break." Everyone nodded as she walked towards the door and left. She got inside of her car and immediately cranked up the tunes, not wanting to hear anything else about a witch hunt. She was getting so sick and tired of people being afraid of witches. If people of Salem was so afraid witches, then why won't they just leave town or something. All this mumbo jumbo needs to come to an end - Maybe one day, it will.

Eliza pulled up a picked a parking space. She was going to remain outside until Heloise arrived. Eliza kind of knew she would because when Eliza means ASAP, it's usually important especially with five exclamation points. She turned her car off, which it wasn't fully off yet as she leaned back in her seat and let out a well deserved sigh as she continued to wait for Heloise.

Aidan's father busted into his room with a look of worry plastered on his face. Aidan turned his head and raised a brow at his father. "Dad, what's wrong?" He asked while getting up from his seated position and walking over towards him. He placed his hand upon his shoulder as he continued to ask him what was wrong. "Dad, please answer me." His dad pointed towards his television and it turned on to the news. The headline saying something about a massive witch hunt taking in the next few days or so. His eyes widened with utter shock and awe as he turned back to his dad. "Dad, calm down. No one knows about us, okay?" His father nodded his head and finally spoke. "Yeah, you are right son but we need to be careful. Understand?" Aidan nodded his head as his dad left his room. He closed his door and sat down on his bed with a sigh.

'Witch hunt.' Aidan thought with a scoff as he grabbed his remote control and turned his television off.

He picked up his phone and saw that he had a miss call from one of his close friends, Jacob. He returned his call and explained why he didn't answer the first time. Of course, he lied. He basically told Jacob that him and his father was having a heart to heart talk. Aidan and Jacob talked for another fifteen minutes or so about some party going on tonight then he ended the call. He sat the phone down on his bed as he laid down, back first on the bed and place his hands behind his head, clasping them together. As he lied there, he thought about his mother, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident, a couple months back. He miss her dearly and he didn't like seeing his father depressed and sad and glad that those days are over. After a few minutes of laying down, he shot up and grabbed his phone, car keys and a black leather jacket.

Aidan ran down the stairs and told his father that he'll be back later. His father said okay and for him to be careful.

Being a witch use to be easy in Salem, when people didn't freak out but now, he knew he had to be careful. He got into his car and turned the engine and not really wasting anytime speeding down the road. Aidan was going over his girlfriend's house, Katie, who he has been with since high school. She wasn't a witch and he was actually okay with that. It wasn't like there was a common law where witches and warlocks couldn't date humans - They could but just had to be careful. He pulled up to her yard and saw her coming out of the house, squealing and jumping up on him. He grabbed a hold of her and laughed. "Seems like someone misses me." He said as she planted a kiss on his cheek, getting back down to her feet now. "Of course, I've been gone too long." She said while wrapping her arm around his. "Oh, did you hear on the news about a massive witch hunt? Boy, you leave for a week and miss a lot." She said as they entered her house.

"Yeah, my father just got done showing me actually. Witches beware, right?" They chuckled slightly as they sat down on the couch. "So, how was you artist retreat?" He asked and he just had to as she blabbed on and on about it. Aidan had a smile placed upon his face and nodded at all times, laughing when it was appropriate and even raising a brow when necessary. Him and Katie talked for almost hours and they suddenly grew hungry so they decided to go out and get something to eat at one of the diners downtown.

Heloise was at the book store where she worked as a manager, having been working there since she was 16, she had taken a few courses, and slowly gained the trust of the owner. So when the old manager retired, Heloise eagerly applied for the position, and received it. She loved working there. Heloise was a book nerd, and if she could, she would spend all her time reading. She looked up at loud voices, and sighed, standing up. The only bad thing about a book store, was some of the customers, the more...idiotic of them.

"I Said I brought this here the other day, and I don't want it anymore! You have to return it!" A middle aged woman was yelling at the teen girl at the register, who looked like she was about to cry.

"Its okay Lisa, you can go on break, i'll take care of this" She gave the girl a smile, turning to the woman. "I'm sorry Ma'am, was the book not satisfactory?"

"My daughter already has a copy of it" The woman said, "You tell your children not to by things close to their birthdays, but they never listen"

Heloise kept her friendly smile, "Well, then, we would be happy to exchange it for you. There's a second book in this series, perhaps your daughter would like that as well"

"oh, thank you! that would be great!" The woman said, her demeanor more cheerful. Heloise quicky changed the book, grabbing the second book in the series.

"Thank you Ma'am, I hope you come again!" She waved as the woman left, then went to check on Lisa. "Its okay, you get all those types. I think she was more hurt that her daughter didn't listen to her"

Lisa nodded, and leaned down to pet the orange cat with golden eyes. "Missy loves being petted like that" Heloise said, and after making sure Lisa was okay, returned to her office, catching the news cast about the trials. She was just reaching for her phone as it buzzed. Eliza.

Just saw, I'm on my way Heloise grabbed her keys, and was heading out the shop, "Mark, Lisa, I'll be back, if you need me, just call" She leaped into her car, and drove to the cafe, seeing Eliza waiting. She parked, and climbed out the car, heading over, trying to appear nonchalant.
Samuel was at the diner he worked at, typically as a chef. He had learned how to cook from his grandmother, who had raised him when his irresponsible mother had left him after birthing him, and his father had ran out on them before he was even born. Samuel always said that being raised by his gran had been the best thing that had happened to him.

After all, his mother had not one bit of the witch gift in her, while his grandmother was, or had been, an extremely powerful witch. He still thought of her like that. She had raised him, taught him values, treated him like her own son. More importantly, she had taught him his craft, and had taught him how to cook, since he was as high as her knees.

As the shift appeared to be slow and dull, Sam took the time to stop and talk with a regular, telling him that his favorite was in the menu tonight.

"Hey, Sammy, have you heard the news? Witches are among us, and will be hunted, jut like in the histories" The man customer said.

Samuel froze, then laughed, "Ah, surely not, there's no such things as witches"

"well, then, some people will be hunted for no good reason then!" The guy chuckled, and uneasy, Samuel headed into the kitchens. He was just about to reach for the phone, when it rang.

"Gran" He said at once, "The news-"

"I know Sam, I know. You're going to have to be very careful, and watch out for yourself. You're also going to have to watch out for other witches in this town. Its going to get rough from here on out" His grandmother said.

"I know" Samuel replied, "You be careful too" He said goodbye hanging up. Feeling queasy, he got to work on cooking up some orders, but distracted, it wasn't his best work. He stole a quick break, heading out to the ally, leaning against the wall, and closing his eyes. He loved living in Salem, but if it was going to get tough, it might be better to leave.

Eliza saw Heloise and immediately got out of her car. She looked Heloise as she tried to remain nonchalant but how can she be nonchalant in a situation like this. Eliza needed to calm down. She held her head up high and relaxed while smiling a little. "Hey girl!" She said while giving Heloise a small hug, breaking it after a few seconds. She walked into the cafè and held the door for Heloise until she was in as well. She didn't really know what to say but she scared for her life. What if people knew? What if people found out? A lot of what if questions ran through her head as she tried to shake them away but couldn't. She really didn't want to mention what she had in front of everybody so she just wanted to have a normal conversation, for now. "So, how is work going for you?" She asked with another smile appearing across her features.

She was next in line and she had placed her order.

Eliza grabbed her coffee drink and muffin then walked through the doors that lead to the outside. She was literally shaking now as anyone of the people sitting outside with them could be a witch hunter. Eliza waited for Heloise to sit down before talking business. She let out a breath and took a sip of her coffee then eyed Heloise. "Uhmm, so, have you heard the news lately?" She asked with a raised brow while basically shaking as she torn a piece of her muffin and placed it in her mouth. She eventually swallowed then held her hands up to her temple again. "This can't be. I mean, if people are so afraid, why don't they just move?" She asked but the question really didn't need to be answered.

"We need to call a..." Customers had walked by and it made her gasp and jump a little. She looked away from them then waited until they were gone. "We need to hold a coven meeting." She eventually whispered while not even wanting her muffin, she fed it to the birds instead. "Heloise, I don't know what we are going to do." She said sincerely and with a hint of worry as she couldn't fathom the thought of being captured and eventually killed. She let out a soft sigh as she rose up out of her seat. "I'll be right back. Going to go freshen my make-up." She said as she grabbed her purse and walked towards the bathroom. Eliza walked in and went over to the mirror, where she sat her purse down on the sink and quickly went on applying her make-up.

Her ears twitched when she heard two girls enter, both of them giggling as she overheard them talking about witches - In such a negative way. "I think they should take all the witches and put them in a cabin then set it ablaze." They both laughed as Eliza closed her make-up pouch furiously then turned to them. "Well, maybe they should do that to all the people of Salem. I mean I am so sick of hearing about this witches that don't even exist anymore!" Her voice roared. "Geez, what's your problem?" One of the girls asked. "People liked you are my problem." She threw her make-up pouch back into her purse and stormed out of the bathroom, eventually reaching Heloise again. Her angered was basically vibrating off of her as she stayed silent when she sat down.

- & -

Aidan listened to his girl talk the whole ride to the diner. He wanted to tell her to shut up so bad but didn't, as a matter of fact, he basically tuned her out. "Aidan, are you listening? Aidan? Aidan?!" He snapped back to reality then turned his gaze towards her. "What?!" Katie folded her arms over her chest as she pouted her lips. "You're not listening to me." Aidan rolled his eyes with a scoff. "I totally was." She smacked her lips then raised a brow. "What was I talking about then?" He sighed while turning back towards her. "Baby, I've got a lot on my mind, okay? I may have tuned you out a little bit but at least it wasn't intentional." He said with one of his handsome smiles.

Katie huffed while sitting correctly in the passenger seat now. She didn't say a word and Aidan sighed with relief. He kind of chuckled to himself as she got mad at the littlest thing. Aidan isn't really the compassionate type - He's more of the blunt, tell it how it is type.

After a few more minutes of driving, they finally reached the diner. He pulled up into a parking space and turned the engine off while getting out of his car. He didn't really bother to see if Katie had got out and followed him in or not because he had more important matters on his mind. The greeter greeted them and asked how many to the party. "Two." Aidan responded as she grabbed two menus and with a smile she told them to follow her. She sat them down at the table and handed them the menus.

After a few seconds rather, their waiter came over and asked if they need anything to drink. "Ah, yes, two Sweet Teas, please and two glasses of water." The waiter wrote it down and said that he'll be right back as he looked up and eyed Katie. "Are you really going to be mad at me all day?" Katie didn't even looked at him as she flipped through the menu. "Mhm." Aidan was really getting tired of her getting mad over stuff that doesn't call for anyone to be mad over. He shrugged his shoulders while looking over the menu as their waiter came back over with their drinks and asked if they were ready to order. "I am. I'll have the Triple Prime T-Bone Steak, cooked well-done please." Aidan placed his order as the waiter wrote everything down even Katie's order.

They both were silent as his phone started to ring. It was his father. "I'll be back." He said while answering the call and going outside. "Hello." His dad was explaining to him that the witch hunt had begun like five minutes ago. Aidan sighed while running his hand through his jet black locks of hair. "Okay, dad. You be careful and I'll see you soon. Love you." With that, the call was ended. Aidan let out a grunt of frustration as he walked back into and seen that there food was already brought out. "Babe, your steak is still pink." Katie said as Aidan grabbed the plate and walked up to the counter. He was already furious as it was and tried to keep a calm, moderate tone but all of that was soon thrown out of the window. "I asked for this to be well-done. Hell, burn the shit up if you have to!" His voice roared as all eyes were now on him.

"I don't know why it's so freaking hard for you people to get a simple order right! I've been coming here for quite some time now and this is the first time I've had a problem like this. I want to see the chef that cooked this. I guess they can't read, whoever it is." He mumbled and muttered. The person at the front just continued to smile as she called someone named Sammy to the front. Aidan was highly pissed but he doesn't know if it was because of his steak or if it was because the witch hunt had begun - It was a little bit of both, he had admit to himself as he waited for Sammy to show himself.

Heloise noted how freaked out Eliza looked. She doubted that many would be able to see it-Heloise knew Eliza like the back of her hand. As they waited in line, she answered the question about her work as if they were just having a polite conversation, even though Heloise knew Eliza hadn't called her down for the simple fact to ask her that.

"its going good. But I need to get Lisa more prepared to battle difficult customers. Poor girl" Heloise replied, grabbing a doughnut and a hot chocolate, she sat down with Eliza, glancing about causally, as if she were just searching for something, tor as if she just merely wanted to see what was about Heloise was a stable sort of person, and she managed not to freak out too much about the news. Right now, she had to come Eliza down. She let Eliza go to the bathroom, and calmly sipped her drink, and bit into her doughnut. By the time Eliza had returned, she had finished the doughnut, had chocolate smeared around her mouth.

Heloise watched a couple of girls eying her with a mixture of disgust, and envy. Heloise never cared what she put into her mouth-She could eat anything, and still keep her figure. It made several girls envious of that, the ones who would count every morsel of food that they ate. Even if Heloise didn't have that ability, she would still eat whatever the hell she liked. Food was just that good. She brushed at her mouth with a napkin, and gave the girls a toothy grin.

As Eliza sat back down, Heloise leaned close, weaving a quick spell despite the danger to make it so they wouldn't be over heard. This talk was just as Dangerous anyway. "El, We are going to do what we always do. We have never openly shown our abilities, and have never revealed ourselves before. But we will protect the innocent, protect our fellow witches, and those falsely accused. This will not be like it was before. We can not let it be, cannot let whole magical lines disappear like back then" She said all this calmly, without a hint that she was joking, or a hint that she was even panicking. "Have I ever let you get yourself in to serious trouble before?"

Heloise frowned at this, then laughed, "Well, that's besides the point. Have I ever let you get yourself killed?" She changed the question, continued, "If we were accused, we would have the whole town behind us, battling to save us. You know that" Although Heloise wasn't so sure about that, she sounded confident, "We are too well known in this town" She shrugged, and finished her drink. "We will call the coven , have it at my place. We will also secretly send out feelers to find other witches, and work out what to do"

She gave Eliza a smile, "Don't worry. We will be okay"
Samuel was cooking up a customers meal when he was called out. He groaned, usually when someone wanted to thank him, they were sent into the kitchen. So why was he being called out? He knew of one reason, and this got another groan out of him, as he quickly served up the meal, giving it to a server.

Samuel would be the first to admit that he was distracted, but never, never, had he gotten an order wrong before. Nor did he think he had as he was called to the front, and greeted to the yelling of a customer he had seen around before. He didn't need this, not today. Still, he approached the situation calmly. That is, until he reached the door of the kitchen, and heard the shout off "- this is the first time I've had a problem like this"

"Oh, the first time? My god, and you blow up like that? Jeez, I'd hate to see how you act when your girlfriend refuse's to have sex with you!" Samuel shouted back, not caring for once about the other customers in the room, or the staff, who he knew would be watching and listening. He had never blown up at a customer before. "That is, if you even have a girlfriend, and aren't paying that pretty young thing to go out with you!" He realised even as he said it that he may have gone a bit too far.

He stepped back quickly, out of range of being hit, held up his hands, "Sorry, sorry, that was going too far" He said quickly, honestly, genuinely. He ran his fingers through his hair, cursing to himself. "Look, I'll be happy to cook you another meal. I'm sorry for the mistake. I...I've got some family issues at the moment, and I must have been distracted. Your meal is on me"

He stepped back to go into the kitchens, seeing his workmates standing there, some shocked, some trying to hold back laughter, and he rolled his eyes at them, "Whatever those two want, its on me" He said wearily, "And I thought this was going to be an easy shift. Someone turn that damn TV off, I'm sick of listening to the news about the witch hunt"

He turned to the customers waiting for their food, "I'm sorry as well, I'll have your meals out as soon as possible. I hope this hasn't ruined your visit here"

Eliza looked at Heloise with a soft smile as she relaxed a little bit. Her mind wandered off from the witch hunt as she shook her head, still smiling. "Oh, Heloise, you know exactly how to cheer me up." She said while looking down at her watch, getting up from her seat as she gave Heloise a hug. "Well, I'll get back to work. Your still coming over my house tonight right?" Eliza asked towards Heloise as she pulled out her phone, getting a breaking news update. "Oh my god!" She squealed while turning towards Heloise. She grabbed her by the arm and walked over in a nearby corner and lightly whispered. "The first witch has been caught. Mary Watson?" She shrugged her shoulders as she didn't know the female but a look of worry came over her face and she went pale again.

"We need to have a meeting...fast." She exclaimed. "Invite everyone you know." She said while adjusting her purse on her shoulder and turning heel, walking away from Heloise. She got back in her car with a sigh as a strange male knocked on her window, causing her to let out a small yelp. "Yes?" She said without rolling down the window. "They are among us." Was all he said as he went over to Heloise, mumbling something but she couldn't make out the words.

After she cranked up her engine and a few minutes of driving, she arrived back at the diner and made sure she was looking professional before walking back in. She smiled at the new crew that had just came in. "Everything went okay?" She asked towards them as they all nodded their heads yes. She smiled with a firm nod of her head. "Good." She bumped into one of the employees and grabbed a hold of her wrist, feeling the emotion of worry vibrating off of her. She gasped while snatching her hand back and biting on her bottom lip. "Uhmm, Alison, can you come to the back with me for a sec?" She asked while walking away, feeling the footsteps of her following behind her.

When they reached the back, Eliza closed the door and didn't even beat around the bush. "Are you a witch?" She asked her. Alison lifted a brow then laughed nervously while tugging her necklace. "No." Eliza noticed the actions then folded her arms over her chest. "You are. I felt it from you." Alison looked around and leaned in towards her. "You're a witch?" Eliza closed her eyes and nodded her head. "What can you do? Feel your emotions and even remove emotional pain. Also, I can read minds and talk to you through the mind. Yourself?" Alison shrugged her shoulders. "Nothing special. I can start fires with my mind." Eliza smiled with immediate interest. "I'm having a get together tonight of witches and warlocks. You should come." Alison smiled with a nod of her head. "Sure, I'll be there."

"Great." Eliza said while escorting Alison out of the back room.

Eliza went back and stood in her meet and greet position, waiting for more customers to arrive.

Aidan was really moved by the words of the employee as he lifted up a brow.

"I'm calling the owner of this company and you Sir, will be terminated." He huffed as he turned around and stormed out of the restaurant and got in his truck. Aidan had completely forgot about Katie as he turned the engine and left the restaurant. Aidan didn't want to her talking to him about his behavior as he received a text from her. He ignored it as he pulled up to his home and got out of the truck, entering his home. "Dad. I'm back." His father came up to him and had look of sadness coming over him. "The first has been captured." Aidan eyes widened as he threw his keys on the dresser to the side. "Who?!" He asked while father looked towards him, almost not wanting to say the name. "Mary Watson." His eyes went even widened that they looked like they were about to pop out of his head. "Mother's sister?" He asked his father as they walked towards the kitchen, sitting down at the dining table.

"Yes son, I'm afraid so." His father responded. "Wow." Aidan responded while running his fingers through his raven colored locks of hair. He leaned back in his seat with a sigh. "So, what now? Dad, I am not usually terrified but I truly am." His father rested his hand on top of his in a comforting manner. "Son, there is nothing for us to be afraid of. I assure you that." His father said while sighing and getting up from his seat. "So, what did you do today?" Aidan eyes narrowed towards him as he basically shrugged his shoulders. "Just the basic going over your girlfriend house, hearing her talk endlessly and went to the diner." Speaking of Katie, he had pulled out his phone and seen that he had almost fifty messages from her, literally. Aidan shook his head as he really had more things to care about at this point and time.

"I should know how to cheer you up" Heloise said with a laugh, "I've been doing it for a whole now!" She grinned, returning the hug. She then watched as Eliza looked at her phone. She let her drag her aside, and listened. "Mary Watson..." She sighed. She didn't know the woman, but she still grieved nevertheless. "I wish we could save the poor woman"

She sighed "I'll get onto everyone. My place, tonight. Midnight" the witching hour, of course. She turned to leave, noticing the man coming towards her. "They are among us" Heloise did just about the only thing she could. She laughed.

"Who? Aliens? They've been among us for years! Haven't you heard of Area 51? Or do you mean enuchs? I've heard the government has a secret army of them-they don't have nothing to play with, so they know their weapons. Ooooh, I know. Witches! Bah" she laughed again, and walked away from the man, getting in her car. She drove back to the book store, finding Lisa and Mark dealing with things alright.

Missy, sensing Heloises distress, padded over and rubbed her head against her leg, winding around. "I'll be in my office, any troubles, just call out" she picked up Missy, and the orange cat purred softly. She went into her office, and closed the door, sitting on her chair with a huge sigh. Missy curled up in her lap, and Heloise got started calling people. She dialed so many numbers, and seemed to talk for ages, as she told all those witches she knew that they were having a meeting at her place and the time.

As she did this Heloise typed in Mary Watsons name into her search engine. She searched as she talked to people. Heloise was trying to track down any family members of the woman, and found that she had a nephew. Heloise took a huge risk, and, using a bit of magic, got the nephews number.

"Well missy, I could just be revealing myself to the whole world, in a time when it is dangerous to do so. If I get caught, you know to go to Eliza" the orange cat stared at her with her bi-colour eyes, then proceeded to lick herself.

Heloise dialed the mobile number, and waited for someone to answer.
Samuel laughed, "did you hear that? He's going to get be canned! The best chef this place has ever had, that's doubtful!" Still chuckling he went to complete what orders he had, and then asked for the rest of the night off. He was given it, the manager clapping him on the back "don't worry about that guy! Go rest, and have a few hours. No one will tell that you went home early"

Samuel smiled gratefully. He noticed the guys girlfriend sitting there, obviously waiting for the guy. He walked passed "he isn't worth the trouble, girl" and walked out the place. He walked home, living not too far away, and unlocked his apartment door, and heading inside. He answered his phone that was ringing, noting the number of messages there. "Hello"

He breathed out a sigh of relief as he recognised the voice "Sasha" he said softly, then sighed once more as she went off, rattling about a coven meeting goig on tonight and how he should come along. She talked and tried to convince him.

"Sasha, I'll come, I'll come!" He got the address and hung up, groaning and laying back on his bed when he flopped on it. He threw the phone on the bed as well, groaning some
More before getting up, and walking to take a shower and change.
