He watched her, as she closed her eyes. The needles in him were on his left shoulder, as carefully as he could he got Elliot on top of him. He didn't mind letting her sleep on top of him he knew she was more comparable that way.

Elliot's climb out of her and Jacob's bed clutching her stomach and wincing. The pain had become tolerable and the wound had mended but it still hurt to sit up, using the injured muscle. Jacob had already left leaving her to wake up and get changed by herself, which was strange as she normally had the luxury of waking up in his arms and he got the luxury of watching her undress as she got ready for the day. She changed into an easy pair of jeans with a belt and a nicer tank top that she had managed to find not to long ago. She stretched and decided that she should face the day.

She couldn't help but smile as she left the room and locked up. As much as she missed waking in his arms that morning, it was nice to know that he felt great enough to get up and leave the room before she even the chance to wake.

He looked around the whole place, he knew Kyle was hanging around here somewhere. Jacob just had to find him, his pistol on his belt. He climbed the stairs to the top floor seeing a figure there, "Kyle step away from the computer now." His brother turned around, "to bad to disppoint you, but no." Jacob felt hands grab him from behind and slam him into the wall. He felt a cold barrel of a pistol held to his head.

Elliot was trying to figure out where Jacob might be as she walked through the halls. She pursed her lips and decided on checking the top floor. Jacob had mentioned something about Kyle asking for codes to the computer. She was curious to if he was changing them, so that if anyone else leaked them, they'd be useless. She opened the door and found Kyle standing in the room and Jacob standing with a gun to her head. She yelped and looked wide eyed and Kyle, "Kyle..." She said softly, "You don't want to do this... He's the only family you got left... Nothing on that computer in worth it."

Kyle looked at Elliot, "yah right the robot made a deal with me give them the computer and the codes and there going to stop this war." Jacob looked at his brother, "Kyle think this through they lied to you please just listen to me." He felt the barrel of the gun dig into his skull, "Jacob don't make this harder just hand over the codes," Jacob looked t Kyle, "I'm sorry I can't do that."

Elliot stepped forward her hands up, "Maybe Jacob's wrong... Maybe they didn't lie to you... Maybe they will make the war end... But how do you think they are going to do that? You give them what they want and they'll cease and desist... That isn't what is going to happen. They'll end this war by steamrolling us... Killing every last one of us in this building until there is no one left to fight in this war."

Her hands shook as she held them out. She was terrified about what might happen to Jacob. She looked at Kyle and pleaded, "Please... Let him go... You don't want him to die. Please.... don't hurt him..." She sighed, "You know he is too stubborn to ever give you the codes because of a gun to his head...."

Kyle laughed at that, "if I take the gun from his head hell attack me get the gun out of my grip and point it at me. I don't think I will though," Jacob looked at Kyle over his shoulder. "Kyle those files on that thing, if you give it to them then they will kill us all Kyle don't do it please." Kyle hit him over the head with the gun, black spots appeared in his vision "shut up Jacob."

Elliot yelped again when Kyle hit Jacob, "Kyle! Stop it! You know, deep down that we're right, that if you hand this over they'll kill us."

She started to move slowly toward the computer. Jacob had told her the code when they got together, in case anything happened to him. She didn't tell anyone that she knew, in this moment she was very glad. But he told her another code, a code to wipe the system clean. It was better gone than in the hands on the robots. If could only make it...

He knew he was taking a risk at doing this, but he had to he sweeped kicked Kyle off his feet. Got on top of him and started wrestling for the pistol in Kyle's hand. They started rolling over each other on the floor, the gun skidded across the floor. Kyle got his hands on Jacobs neck and started choking him, "Ellie.....wipe....it....now!"

Elliot hesitated when she saw Kyle choking Jacob but ran to the computer. Quickly, she punched in the code and the system wiped. She then ran over to Kyle and started to pull him off Jacob, "Stop it! God, Kyle! Please, stop! It's gone! It's all gone! Please... Don't hurt him."

Elliot was terrified as she pulled at the large man. Kyle was a great deal stronger than her. She'd be lucky to manage to get him off Jacob, luckier if he chose not to come after her when she did."

He managed to get a lucky hit on Kyle, Jacobs knew connected to kyle's stomach, instantly the grip slackened. He threw Kyle off of him, he got onto his hands and knees and started coughing when air started making its way to his deprived lungs. By the time he looked up, Kyle was gone.

Elliot didn't dare take off after Kyle. The computers were completely wiped, there was nothing he could get from them. She knelt next to Jacob hugged him before kissing him deeply. She didn't release him after she broke the kiss. She kept her arms wrapped around him tightly, "God... I was so scared," She kissed his cheek, "Thank god, you're okay... I thought he was going to kill you...."

He looked at her, "I thought he was going to do it if I didn't hit him in the stomach." Jacobs voice was thin and raspy from the lack of air he had gotten from getting choked by his own brother the blueprints for other guns were lost, but he didn't care he was alive and he kissed Elliot.

Elliot sighed as she pulled away from the kiss, resting her forehead against his, "I'm sorry that I couldn't stop him.... reason with him... get him to understand...."

She shook her head, "I don't think he wanted to do it... To send the codes to the robots.... If he really wanted to... All he had to do was point the gun at me. You may be stubborn but you would have folded with my life in the balance... no matter how much I told you not to... But instead, he decided to try and kill the one person who he knew had the codes... It doesn't make sense...."

Jacob shrugged, "I don't get it either Ellie at least that system held all the weapons the other systems are a bit more important than those weapons, if the robots targeted the other systems we would have a problem on our hands."

Elliot nodded and rested her forehead back again his, "I'm glad that you didn't break your promise to me."

She kissed him again, "I would have been rather mad if you had... Might have just chased after Kyle with your pistol."

She giggled a little and stood. She held her hand out to him, "Come on, enough sitting on the ground..."

He grabbed Elliot's hand and stood up, "now that I would probably pay to see would be worth a laugh." He leaned against Elliot tired fighting Kyle and then almost dying by getting choked can take a lot out of a person even though a lot of people didn't know that.

Elliot wrapped her arm around her waist and smiled as she started to walk out of the room with him, "Shame you wouldn't get to see... with you being dead and all..." She looked up at him and giggled a little, "You know... That's now myself and your brother who have tried to choke you... Do you think, maybe it's you?" She teased.

She walked with him to their bedroom and unlocked it. Kicking the door closed behind them, she locked it again before walking over to the bed. She kissed him, "We should probably try and figure out this Kyle problem..."

Jacob layed down on the bed, putting his arm over his eyes. "We probably should later though I'm tired as hell." He didn't close his eyes though he was tired it would take him awhile to drift off probably a good five minutes would have to pass for him to drift off.

Elliot sighed when said he was tired. She nodded and pushed some of his hair out of his face, "Okay... We'll talk when you wake up."

She lay beside him as he slowly drifted asleep. As he did, she stood and walked into the bathroom, she figured she might as well take a shower while he was sleeping. She quietly closed the door and started the water.
