Spring Outfit

Name:
Elizabeth 'Eli' Stern

Age:
Eighteen

Gender:
Female

Birthday:
Summer 10

Role:
Runaway (Looking for work)

Likes:
-Coffee and tea, Eli adores hot drinks.
-Orange juice, orange pie, orange cake, orange ice cream, orange anything!
-Anything with mint, including ice cream and tea.
-Fruits and vegetables of all kinds.
-Nature, enjoys people bringing her flowers
-Drawing, painting, and photography. Art is her favorite past time.

Dislikes:
-Spicy foods, she's always had a sensitive tongue.
-Large storms, normally had to deal with these by herself when young and has grown quite terrified of them.
-The dark. Past issues, though the fear stuck.
-Meat and fish, she's a vegetarian and these items make her rather sick.
-Tight spaces. Eli hates to be enclosed in a single place for too long and begins to hyperventilate if she happens to stay in one for an extended period of time.
-Most people. (Depending on her mood)
-Herself at times.

Personality:
Eli is quiet, to say the least. She holds her tongue in most social situations, only speaks when spoken to out of habit, and always seems to wander around with her eyes glued to the ground unless conversing with someone . Evidently, this gives her a polite and almost mysterious appearance, but in actuality she is somewhat short-tempered and clumsy. While her upbringing seemed to mold her into a shy, vulnerable girl, her mouth will at times jab out at people who she finds annoying and she is prone to fits of anger or sadness if her patience is snapped (normally occurs after dealing with certain people for too long or after getting stressed out). Quick witted, she will almost always have a snappy remark but often with holds saying it, forcing herself to be kind out of a thirst for companionship. Cynical, Eli has trouble trusting most people, and as such is rather bad at making friends, though she does enjoy the company of others at times. She tries her best to be nice, but finds that she always says something rude or mean, which leads to mild states of depression that are fixed after a while of just sitting by herself. Judges people at first glance, which is something she is trying to fix about herself, and will at times avoid people who might appear bad but are actually just trying to help. She is also very stubborn and open minded, and will speak up if she knows something immoral is being done in front of her. Along with all that, she is also very insecure, especially about her rude personality and appearance, and is confused when people try to be kind or lovey-dovey with her thanks to this.

When alone, she is much more calm, and will often be found painting or drawing in the fields or forest, her eyes taking in every articulate detail they can catch. Nature is her favorite thing to be around, and as such she will often be found outside of the town, exploring the mountain or forest or fields of river. Rather clumsy, and easily flustered, there are times when Eli gets into rather awkward situations in which she just stutters around and hits anyone within the area out of embarrassment. A surprisingly hard worker, Elizabeth takes work seriously and with her stubbornness she often tries her hardest to help with the tasks she is given. There are times where she will even work herself to exhaustion just to get something done. If she does manage to secure some nice friends, Eli is much more relaxed and teasing, though will often question their interest in her and may even stress over the thought of them hating her.

Background:
Somewhere, far from the Valley, was a city. And in this city was an expensive two floor apartment, and in this apartment was a family, a rather bad family, which contained two controlling parents and three, quiet, polite, broken children. This family, one summer night, welcomed a fourth child into their household, a girl named Elizabeth. She was different from the other children though, she grew up to be open and bright and, in her parents eyes, unfit for the family standards. Their children HAD to be polite and quiet, like dolls to show of to their friends and co-workers and higher ups. So, they decided to 'fix' her, they took away things she enjoyed, separated her from friend groups, and lectured her often. There were even times where she would be locked in her closet for back sassing one of them, and she would sit in there for a mere hour, crying because of the dark and the tightness. They yelled, arranged playdates with children she didn't care to know, and at times even hit her. And they molded her into another perfect doll, snipped her innocence early and just used her for social gatherings, just like her brothers.

Her three brothers were the only people she spoke to, and that was only when their parents were out at work. The spoke of music and TV and art and hate and love. Tyler and Jessie, the twins, spoke of wanting to be rock musicians, but knew that mom and dad would not allow anything so vulgar and loud. Tom, the oldest and wisest, wanted to be an actor, despite their parents badgering him about a medical career. When asked what she wished to do, Elizabeth replied with a simple: "To get out of here." They all grew up, and even after Tom, Tyler, and Jessie left home Elizabeth tried her best to keep in touch with them, until her parents cut off communication with them suddenly. Elizabeth likes to think that it was because they followed their dreams.

Eventually, mom and dad became too controlling, as they tried to force Elizabeth to go to a college she didn't wish to go to, trying to make her pursue a career in business, and they even tried to force men into her life. On her seventeenth birthday, she finally became fed up. After the 'celebration' (which involved a small cake and a gift card) she went back to her room as she normally did, but instead of falling asleep in complete silence, she gathered what she could (a bag full of clothing, art supplies, and every ounce of money hidden within her walls) and climbed down the side of the building from the fire escape. She left behind her phone, and anything they could use to contact her, and traveled the land, searching for a safe haven.

After a year of train hopping, odd jobs, and homeless nights, she managed to find a nice town in the middle of a vast valley, and is currently using the last of her money to pay for her time in an inn while job hunting.

Skills:
- Hard Worker: Takes a job seriously, no matter what, and will try her best to help in anyway she can.
- Art: A skilled artist, Eli's pieces are often representations of her feelings and as such are rather abstract. There are many scenery pictures, though, as the Valley's natural beauty has recently inspired her to draw more from life.
- Quick Wit: Her tongue is a weapon and she will gladly use it if so needed.
- Calm: In much more drastic situations, Eli is surprisingly calm and clear-minded.

Relationships:
- Alex Garnet: Has seen the girl once or twice while wandering, and knows that she is the bartender of the Azalea Bar. Doesn't have any ill will towards her as of yet, seeing as they haven't conversed before, and is somewhat curious about what Alex is actually like. Eli has plans to visit the bar soon, but has been a bit antsy about it as she's never been to a bar before.

- Gaku Yamamoto: Normally sees Gaku around the Inn and sometimes he will greet her, to which she will reply with a greeting back. Gaku's punkish appearance sort of turned her away from him the first time she met the boy, and hearing him talk so bluntly to others didn't help with that, but she has heard his guitar playing before while lounging in the forest and has since wanted to ask him about his music.

- Everett Micheals: Eli has heard about the calm and collected doctor while running some errands, and might have seen him once or twice by his clinic but hasn't shared a formal word with him. Might go in for a check-up soon, though.

- Isis Thorn: Has seen the woman in her shop while exploring the town, and they have at least greeted each other once. Eli likes the flower shop and enjoys the bouquets and arrangements that Isis has created. Sometimes she stops by to relax and maybe even sketch.

- Izzie McKenzie: Sees the woman in the Inn mostly, and finds her attitude and teasing to be rather annoying, but has withheld any rudeness for the time being. Eli is rather jealous of Izzie's beauty and personality, though she doesn't show it. Izzie has been rather friendly towards her, though, and has tried to start conversations, but Eli can't really handle her yet.

- Henry Manteel: Eli has heard of the farmer but has never actually met him. Wishes to inquire him about his vegetables and fruit, though.

- Rosemary Bates: Has seen the girl around before, but hasn't spoken to her. Has been meaning to go into the shop though, as Eli is running out of usable outfits and gadgets. They might get along, though (or maybe not at all)

-Alice Rems: Hasn't seen or heard of this girl. Might be interested with her cooking ability though, as Eli is a rather okay chef herself.

- Brent Roless: (Have yet to meet I believe) A rather strange character, Eli is somewhat afraid of him and his eccentric, hobo type ways. While he does treat her kindly, Brent is somewhat competitive, especially in a work environment, and Eli normally seems as though she doesn't care for that side of him while in reality is somewhat amused by it. He isn't safe from her sharp remarks, but he isn't exactly a thorn in her side either, and I would like to think they would form some type of friendly rivalry/ friendship.

Other:
Doesn't speak much about her past, unless it is to someone she trusts entirely. There are numerous scars on her back from her parents and is still considered a lost child by her family and the police.

In-Game Spring appearance
Name: Gaku Yamamoto
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Birthday: Spring 7th
Role: Inn Worker

Likes
-Spicy food and sweet food. Doesn't really tell people about the latter.
-Music, top two are Rock and Classic.
-Animals, have a special place in his heart. But he doesn't show much affection when around others
-To follow up on this, Gaku likes cute things. Nobody knows this though, and he isn't so keen on letting others know.

Dislikes
-Veggies unless mixed with other food. Straight out vegetables he finds tasteless and boring.
-Working, would rather do nothing all day. Or play the guitar.
-Country music
-Thinking too hard about things he find stupid. Like puzzles and stuff.

Personality
At first glance, people tend to say Gaku has a meek appearance and the personality of a potato. Gaku can be a bit blunt. And by a bit blunt, I mean Gaku can be brutally honest. He tends to say what's on his mind, even if it can be a bit offensive or hurtful. Although usually he doesn't mean it to be that way, which causes him to be a bit confused when someone is hurt by his statement. To him, he's just telling the truth. It doesn't help that Gaku hates working and can be very lazy at times, which causes him to do his jobs halfheartedly and mess things up in the end. This has Gaku rub off on people the wrong way, and some may even see him as a deviant. If something is missing? Blame Gaku. If something is broken or unfinished? It's probably Gaku's fault.

But when he's not hitting the nail on the head, he is usually jamming out with the guitar. Gaku loves music, and wants to play for others, but sometimes has his doubts. It's not just music either, a lot of the time he has doubts about himself and on some days be a bit moody. Other then that though, Gaku likes animals and cute things, which tend to go hand in hand. However, he doesn't express this side of him much, and only shows affection for animals when alone.

If there is one redeeming trait about Gaku however, it's that he doesn't judge people. He knows how it feels, so he comes off as very accepting to others for who they are, or whatever problems people carry. Although this doesn't mean he won't tell you the brutal and honest truth if need be. The only problem is, people can't get past his tough/punk guy persona to notice it.

Background
Back when Gaku was young, he lived in a huge city with buses going back and forth, and the smoke rising up through the skies. Your typical, average pollution working city. His home life was fine, but at school he usually was tormented for liking cute or 'girly' things. Because of this, Gaku developed a punk-ish persona, and got in a lot of fights with people. This caused a lot of trouble for him in his school years, and you wouldn't be caught dead in detention without Gaku in the room with you. It didn't help Gaku was extremely blunt to others, which was usually the main ignition trigger to cause him to fight with others. His parents were extremely strict and old school with Gaku, which had him rebel a bit in his teenage years, too the point where Gaku begun to fail his schooling.

After Gaku graduated High School, he decided to move out from the city because of the bad reputation he carried, as well as the feeling of disappointing his parents. He just couldn't carry the burden anymore, and decided to go somewhere new and refreshing. He ended in Lily of the Valley, yet wasn't used to the town life it brought and because of that always came off a bit cold with others villagers. He moved into the local Inn, where he now works for the Inn Keeper as payment for staying there. His tasks involves cleaning the front while doing odd jobs here and there, even being sent to help out other stores at times. On his off days, he spends a lot of his time out and about, either playing music or taking a stroll past farms. One day, Gaku hopes he can become a musician and spread his love for music with others all across the world, but tends to doubt his own abilities.

Skills
-Even though he doubts himself, he is actually pretty fantastic with the guitar. Sometimes he just lacks inspiration.
-He's become a master at avoiding daunting tasks, and is pretty great at putting them off until the last minute. This however tends to cause his work to be a bit terrible.
-Due to all his years fighting in school, he can actually hold himself pretty well when fighting with someone else, even with his meek appearance.

Relationships
- Alex Garnet: They've worked at the local bar together before when the Inn Keeper sent him on one of his odd jobs. They've talked about work once or twice while Gaku was helping the bar, but outside of that they don't talk much. Gaku finds her a bit awkward when they're working together but doesn't really give it much thought.

- Brent Roless: A interesting man who seems to live around Flora Falls and the mountains. Because Gaku visits this area in most of his off time, they've had more then a few encounters. They don't say much too each other, but acknowledge one anothers existence. Brent has commented on Gaku's music once or twice before and they've even had a discussion on music, but doesn't seem to be that big of a fan of Rock and comes off as bit of a hipster to Gaku. So on the occasions he'll spice it up a bit and play something different when Brent is around doing his thing, so Gaku doesn't disturb.. Whatever work the guy is trying to do.

- Elizabeth 'Eli' Stern: Since he lives at the Inn with her, Gaku sees Eli around a lot. They don't say much to each other except for the casual hi's and goodbye's, but sometimes when he sees Eli around he thinks she looks a bit troubled. Be it because she can't get a job or other matters, it strikes him a bit curious. He's willing to lend a ear for her problems, but decides it isn't for the best and chooses to avoid it.

- Everett Micheals: When you put a blunt man with a man of science in the same room, nothing exciting can come out of it. That's pretty much the case here, as listening to these two talk with each other is worse then watching paint dry. Other then that, Gaku think's he's not that bad of a guy, but can be a bit of a nerd sometimes with his 'big academic words' and gets bored because of it. The two don't go out of their way to talk to each other, but will talk every now and then when Gaku's feeling under the weather.

- Henry Manteel: Gaku has seen him around before, and considers him one of the "new kids on the block" like Eli. However since he owns a farm, they don't actually cross paths much so he doesn't know him very well, except that he grows 'the veggies' and tends to his farm. Because all hell would break lose if Gaku had to watch the growth of such evil.

- Isabelle 'Izzie' McKenzie: The only person in the entire town Gaku is actually friendly with, besides Starr and family. Izzie and Gaku have worked quite a few times together, either Gaku helping out at the Cafe or Izzie at the Inn. Like Eli, Izzie also lives in at the Inn, so the two frequently see each other even out side of work. They sometimes throw cute cheeky remarks at one another, and although he doesn't agree much with her prankster nature, he accepts it. It's the least he can do considering she accepts him a lot better than a lot of the townsfolk do. If Gaku isn't spending his time doing something by himself, he'll probably be seen with Izzie, either working or having a casual chat.

- Isis Thorne: Considers her nice enough, she tries to be friendly with others, even Gaku himself. That took him back for a second, but he began to wonder if it was genuine kindness or not. Gaku has tried to get a read on her, but with no such luck, just coming off as unsocial in the process. He was going to mention something, but they've only met once and their time together was short, so he just decided he'll leave it at that for now.

- Rosemary Bates: Gaku has never actually met Rosemary, so he can't really make that great of a judgement on her. However he's heard from Izzie that Ms. Bates here likes music herself, and can play a pretty mean cello, so he thinks she can't be all that bad.

Other
Spends a lot of his time at Flora Falls, Mount Edelweiss, and Glowing Fern Forest. Also has a mean poker face.

Appearance
Name: Alex Garnet
Age: 19
Gender: Biologically male; identifies as female.
Birthday: Winter 5
Role: Bartender

Likes: - Alcohol, and making drinks.
- Dresses, and clothing in general.
- People – but is less-than-stellar at actually dealing with them.
- Ice-cream, pizza, and pudding. And horror novels, for some reason. And flowers. Horror novels with flowers.

Dislikes: - Sarcasm. The fact it often has to be pointed out to her when someone’s being sarcastic just annoys her.
- Getting up early. Her job description thankfully does not entail it.
- Heat, and any building without working air-conditioning when in said heat.

Personality: Alex tries her hardest to be a social and outgoing person, but she always found that she was always completely awful at it. Inherently introverted, reserved, incredibly awkward and socially inept, Alex forces out a façade of enthusiasm so as to fit more with her chosen profession – something which many can easily see through. She can also come off as oblivious and incredibly dense depending on the situation, especially towards the subject of romance or concerning more subtle social cues, and often has immense trouble detecting sarcasm. Regardless, Alex has an innate curiosity and determination to develop better people skills, but often has difficulty speaking up against others, and never vocalises when she think somebody else is wrong. She is also quick to think poorly of herself, and falls into self-loathing at the drop of a hat due to her genuine fear that she will not be able to properly function as a human being if doesn't improve herself. Nonetheless, while she often has trouble properly expressing herself to others, Alex is sweet and genuinely good-natured, and holding most people and their company in high-regard.

Background: Originally living in a much larger town further away from Lily of the Valley, Alex grew up in a rich household with two parents who had a natural distrust of the school system, and was thus home-schooled by a hired teacher. This was not the cause of her lack of social graces – as she was not kept locked up in a house for all of her childhood, and her parents gave her plenty of opportunities to attend town events and clubs. Rather, she never made many friends due to her naturally feminine appearance and proclivity for both wearing girl’s clothing and tendency to play with dolls – male children either thought she really was a girl and just lying about her gender, or thought it bizarre and kept away from her; whilst female ones were similarly weirded out. She only started fully identifying as female in her teenage years, as she found she was never comfortable being classified as male, and preferred it if people did not actually know her biological gender. However, by this point she had never been able to make any real friends, and thus her social skills were severely limited. When she turned 15, she and her family moved from their town to the quieter Lily Town, her parents citing a need for a change of pace, and currently lives in one of the larger houses in the town.

Alex always had an interest in drinks to the point where she had probably tried every non-alcoholic drink ever made from before she turned 18, and had a lot of fun mixing them. This went to the point where her parents were worried that she would become an alcoholic upon turning 18 – as no drink would escape her thirsty clutches. Fortunately, this was not the case, but she did start taking a bartending course after finishing her schooling, and applied to the town’s bar. It took a while, but she managed to get a position as a bartender – wherein she found that there was a lot more to bartending than pouring drinks. It requires strong people skills, amiability and charisma, all qualities that she found she lacked. However, determined to stick with her chosen profession, she tries to teach herself the many intricacies of dealing with people.

Skills: - An adept bartender, with knowledge of many different drinks. The social side of bartending, not so much.
- A decent memory.

Relationships:
- Alice Rems (Darcness): Out of all the people in town, Alex finds Alice to be the most relatable. Both are considerably naïve and lacking in social skills -- but Alex would perceive the main difference between them being how Alex actively wants to change those things, and is acutely aware of it's existence. Because of this, Alex doesn't like Alice, due to a subconscious feeling that she's looking at everything wrong with herself -- whether it's true or not, as Alex's perception of other people often leaves a lot to be desired. She would probably be rather ashamed of this, and would hide her dislike as much as she can -- but her reactions to Alice are filled with more stuttering and hesitations.

- Brent Roless (ERode): Brent interests her as much as he stresses her out. She likes him for the same reasons that she enjoys the company of Izzie -- just with the added negative of him having zero adverse opinions to saying exactly what is on his mind, so he can often become fairly over-bearing to her. None-the-less, personal or not, most of the things he says intrigues her, and is often inquisitive into the things he does for a living.

- Elizabeth 'Eli' Stern (Liriia) (does not know her name yet): Alex has set herself the challenge of walking up to this girl and being able to hold an actual conversation with her, something she would currently be far too terrified of to actually do. Even if it's just a short conversation, she'd probably think it a decent development to her social skills, due to her apparent mysteriousness adding to her being fairly unapproachable -- at least, to her she seems that way.

- Everett Micheals (PerniciousIntent): Alex gets on rather well with Everett, mainly due to the man's nigh indiscriminate kindness and calming aura. He has the strange ability to reduce any stress she might get from talking with people, so she immensely appreciates his presence during a busy part of day. However, his intelligence often daunts Alex, and despite his lack of egotism, sometimes makes her feel lacking in worth. Also, she'd never say it, but she finds him really attractive.

- Gaku Yamamoto (Van): They met each other when the man worked for the bar for a bit, but outside of that he doesn't really go to the bar, and she can't really muster up the courage to talk to him on the street. The only real conversation they've had was about work, so she doesn't really know him that well.

- Henry Manteel (WolfsRose): Alex doesn't know him very well, as he hasn't been in town long. Her reactions to him have been fairly positive so far, though.

- Isabelle 'Izzie' McKenzie (Chezka): Alex, upon first meeting Izzie, genuinely thought her gibes and pranks were out of genuine malice, and her first encounters with the girl was of high distress -- she didn't take the hint with the girl's constant smiling and enthusiasm. However, it was quickly pointed out to her that she wasn't being sincere, and Alex promptly apologized for taking her so seriously. Aside from Alex's often oblivious attitude to Izzie teasing her, Alex enjoys her company immensely and admires her people skills, hoping to learn a few things from her. She also thinks that she's very pretty... but that's a different matter.

- Isis Thorne (Sezir): From the times that they have talked, they got on rather well, and the fact that she owns a flower shop means that she usually sees her quite a bit. However, friendly as they as, they are not particularly close, although Alex finds the woman's ability to stay smiling no matter what the situation is rather refreshing.

- Rosemary Bates (Darcness): Unlike Izzie, Alex isn't as fond of Rosemary because she believes that her sardonic gibes are out of a genuine wish to hurt her -- whether she actually does or not. She constantly fears that she's misunderstanding the woman somehow, due to her lack of overt expression and use of sarcasm. Therefore, she's constantly on alert when Rosemary is around in hopes of not accidentally misconstruing her -- which Alex finds to be quite stressful.

Other: Overall, Alex essentially looks like a woman. She takes special care of her appearance, but even on a day where she neglects her appearance, it would still be very difficult to tell. Her voice is also very androgynous.

Appearance

Name: Henry Manteel
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Birthday: Summer 18
Role: Farmer

Likes: Farming, eating, naps, having fun with people
Dislikes: Bullying, unnecessarily difficult labor, being alone for extended periods of time

Personality: Henry, despite owning his own small farm, is actually a very relaxed individual. He can usually be found wandering aimlessly through town or napping somewhere comfy (on the beach, in a tree, etc.). That said, he does take farming very seriously, and will not rest as long as there is still work that needs to be done. He enjoys the company of others and almost always has a witty one-liner to use. Though he has no prospects yet, Henry is attempting to find a girlfriend; farm life can get lonely.
Background: Henry was actually born in a big city somewhere far from Lily Town. His parents were both in big business, and they wanted the same for him. Unfortunately, Henry had absolutely no interest in it, despite numerous attempts by his parents to persuade him. Eventually, they both gave up; Henry simply had no interest. At the age of 12, his family went to visit the countryside for a week as a family vacation. Henry instantly fell in love with the wide open spaces. While exploring one day, he happened across an old farm, where he talked with the farmer and his farmhands until his parents came looking for him. He told them that one day, he wanted to start a farm of his own. His parents laughed, not realizing that he was serious.

As soon as Henry was old enough, he left his home and bought property in Peony Plains. After a bit of work, he had a small but functional farm. He now makes his living selling portions of his crops to the townspeople, whom he's taken a real liking to. His free time is often spent relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet that can only be found in the country, and he has no desire to return to his city origins.

Skills: Novice farmer, but sells decent crops. Can also build some things (houses, small buildings, etc.) with wood, though he is by no means an expert. You also won't find anyone as good as Henry at remaining calm in any situation (although some may say he's too calm at times...).

Relationships:
Everett Micheals: Since he’s the doctor, Henry does know him, and their shared love of produce gives them a good topic of conversation. Henry, if nothing else, thinks he’s a good guy.

Alex Garnet: They have met on occasion; though Henry doesn’t drink, he likes to hang out in the bar. He doesn’t know her that well, but he thinks she’s nice.

Gaku Yamamoto: Henry is still new to town, so he doesn’t know Gaku very well. However, both of them like to relax, so if they ever ended up slacking in the same area, they’d probably get along. Probably.

Eli Stern: Henry has yet to meet her.

Isis Thorne: Henry has yet to meet her.

Izzie McKenzie: Henry has seen her a few times at the Café, but they haven’t spoken much. He likes her outgoing personality and thinks she’s quite pretty.

Name:
Isabelle 'Izzie' McKenzie

Age:
Eighteen

Gender:
Female

Birthday:
Summer 19

Role:
Waitress
Also runs errands (at the inn or clinic especially) when the café has a slow day

Likes:
- Singing, listening to music. ♪
- Pranks, jokes, anything that makes her laugh.
- Having fun.
- Lemon cakes—all types of cakes, actually, but lemon cakes are her favorite.
- Particularly vibrant flowers, especially sunflowers.
- Thunderstorms. She likes to frolic and dance around when it's raining, and she finds the sound of thunder rather soothing.
- Having fun. It's there twice because she likes to have twice as much fun as other people~

Dislikes:
- Ghosts. It's a secret, of course, but she's never been good with anything related to the occult.
- Strict rules, and those that force her to abide by them.
- Uptight people who can't take a joke. Seriously, loosen up a little.
- Long work days without any time for fun.

Personality:
A known troublemaker, the sprightly Izzie believes it is her utmost duty to bring fun to the sleepy town and liven up everyone's day using any means necessary. She likes to joke around and pull harmless (or at least she thinks they're harmless) pranks on unsuspecting victims, all in hopes of spreading joy. If there ever comes a day when she doesn't laugh at least once, that could only mean it's the end of the world. Jaunty and a little reckless, there are times when she ends up unwittingly crossing the line. Her motives have never once been filled with, or fueled by, malice though. She just needs constant reminding that life isn't fun and games all the time.

Despite her penchant for mischief, Izzie is a natural people person with an infectious personality. She is nothing if not genuine, as anyone can tell by her hearty laughter and her ear-to-ear grins. It's perhaps both a blessing and a curse that she is as ignorant of established societal norms. On one hand, she is as open-minded as can be, and there is very little that perturbs her. She can behind any idea or exploit; the more convoluted and ridiculous, the better. If it sounds even the slightest bit of fun, you can bet she's on board. On the other hand, she cares very little about personal boundaries. She can be brutally honest if not censored, and more private people may find her innocently invasive habits unsettling.

Of course, Izzie isn't just a prankster with a devil-may-care attitude. While she is very prone to goofing around, she is surprisingly committed to her job, actually putting in more effort than is expected of her. It's hard to see her as a hardworker when it seems like she's always playing a game, but she does everything asked of her quite efficiently.

Background:
Izzie was born to two aspiring showbiz talents, both far too young and career-oriented to have properly taken care of a child. Her parents decided that it would best to leave her in someone else's care, so she was shipped off to Lily Town before she was even a year old. There, she would be raised by her maternal grandfather, who worked at the inn at the time. Izzie wouldn't get to see her parents until she turned seven. They came to the Valley under the pretense of wanting to see their growing daughter, but in actuality, it was little more than an attempt to elude the paparazzi hounding them at the time. They didn't even stay long enough to get to know her. As soon as it became clear that the tabloids would no longer be a problem, her parents immediately flew back to the city, leaving her with gifts as if it would make up for their absence.

Growing up, Izzie had very little constraints. Her grandfather was incredibly doting, and he constantly spoiled her with his affections. He had blamed himself for estranging his only daughter—he had spiraled into depression after losing his wife— and had therefore made sure not to repeat the same mistakes with his granddaughter. Where he was once distant and unyielding, he was now open and compliant. Instead of scolding her every time she caused trouble at school, he laughed with her as she told him of her latest antics. He was even proud when she had become infamous amongst the townspeople before she turned ten, responding to their many complaints only with an affectionate smile. As far as her grandfather was concerned, she was happy and that was all that mattered.

When she turned fifteen, her grandfather suddenly took ill. It wore him down, gradually making him weaker until he had to be constantly bedridden. At the time, her parents were knee-deep in a financial crisis of their own, so they had stopped sending her money. With her grandfather in desperate need of medication, Izzie had taken to doing odd jobs around the town. She ran errands for the shop owners and filled in wherever she can, until she finally found a permanent position at Daisy's Café.

As advised by the doctor, her grandfather had to move to the more peaceful and relaxing Flora Falls, where his close friend could watch over him 24/7. Izzie had to stay in Lily Town to continue her work, but she visits him frequently. She currently stays at the inn, where she gets a discount in return for the side work she does for them. In the same light, she runs errands for the clinic in exchange for a reduced price in her grandfather's medication.

Skills:
- Izzie's quite a talented singer, and she's surprisingly dedicated to honing her craft.
- She's pretty innovative, actually. It's just a shame that all her creative energy is spent on her pranks and silly antics.
- Izzie is also good with people—how else do you think she could get away with everything's she done so far? She knows how to turn on the charm~

Relationships:
Alex Garnet: Izzie is quite fond of Alex. She thinks she's quite amusing, and she always has a blast (often at Alex's expense, as she has taken to affectionately teasing her) when she drops by at the bar. It gets her every time Alex takes a sarcastic comment literally—it's just too funny—but Izzie points it out to her as soon as she's regained her composure. Izzie admires how hard she works on becoming more comfortable around people, because she can see that it isn't easy for her sometimes.

Henry Manteel: She's heard of the newest farmer in the Valley, but they've never formally met. Izzie could have sworn he's visited the café at least once, however.

Everett Micheals: Izzie frequently goes to the clinic to get her grandfather's medicine, so she's gotten to know Everett quite a bit. Because the doctor doesn't like exerting himself too much, Izzie often volunteers to do anything that requires strenuous physical labor. When she's bored and she sees the he's not too busy, she likes to drop by just to ask him some random and silly medical questions.

Elizabeth 'Eli' Stern: The mysterious girl! Since they're the same age, Izzie has been trying to befriend her ever since she moved in a month ago, but her attempts don't seem to be well-received. Still, Izzie persistently tries to engage her in a conversation at least once a day. She has a feeling that Eli's holding back a lot, and she wants her to at least try to just let loose and have fun.

Gaku Yamamoto: Izzie considers Gaku one of her closest friends. She doesn't get fazed by his tough guy persona (like everything else, she thinks it's amusing), and she can be just as blunt as him, so they don't need filters around each other. They can banter without worrying about hurting the other's feelings. Izzie usually hangs out with him whenever she's not busy working or prowling about the town in her super awesome quest to spread fun. She's also a big fan of his music, and she often finds herself humming his songs after she has listened to him play.

Isis Thorne: Izzie likes to visit the flower shop on her free time to look at the flowers and just talk to Isis. The florist is a really good listener and she has an amazingly soothing aura, so she Izzie's go-to when she's feeling unusually down.

Rosemary Bates: …who? Just kidding! Rosemary's a bit hard to get close to, so Izzie doesn't know her too well. She's heard her play before, though, and she thinks she's pretty good. Izzie thinks it's pretty entertaining when Rosie and Alex converse, because sometimes she feels like the two hardly get on the same page.

  • Open minds
  • Animals, especially cats
  • Soup! Any kind. Except tomato -.-

  • Puzzles and card games

  • Dislikes:
  • Jerks, and other overly-prideful people
  • Excess junkfood
  • Extended periods of exercise
  • Things staying the same for too long. He gets restless.

  • Personality:
Everett is a smart man, but not in an arrogant manner. He is a kind soul and tries his best to use his education for the betterment of the community. His face is more often lifted into a smile than not, and many a resident have know him to say that laughter is the best medicine. He's a simple person, but a deep one, and can be quite poetic. He's a bit shy, especially outside of the clinic, and can get flustered easily. It is rare to see him in a bad manner as he has a slow temper and calming disposition. In the clinic, he is all business, and efficient. Even though he loves the serenity of the country, his time in the city gave him a taste of adventure that he still carries. He dislikes stagnation, and takes great pleasure in the many events that happen around the Valley. If something is going on, he will be there.

    Background:
Everett was born and raised in Lily of the Valley. As a child, his parents were minor ranchers that lived on the edge of the White River. He had a happy childhood, although he spent more time with his nose in a book than out with other children. As he grew older, it became clear that he would not be content with the simple life of a rancher, his intelligence urged him on to something more. When he was 16, he graduated school thanks to his vigorous studying, and he left the island, to go to medical school on the mainland.

He spent a few years away in the city studying both general and trauma medicine. The course was rigid, and difficult, but he was more than up for the challenge. Despite his love for his studies, throughout his stay he missed home. That was the most difficult part for him. He honestly missed not just his family and friends, but the island itself. It's his home. It's more than his home. As soon as he got his degree, he moved back to the island.

Unbeknownst to him, something horrible had happened in his absence. With the lack of technology in the Valley, he had little contact with his parents. They wrote letters, but post-by-boat is a little unreliable. Around three years before he came home, the letters stopped completely. Looking back, Everett blames himself for being to enthralled in school to take notice, but he knows rationally even if he had gone back to check it wouldn't have changed a thing.

With the luck of the island fading, there had been many tragic occurrences. Five years ago, in the spring, the river had swelled past its normal banks. Being right on the edge, a fair portion of the Michaels' Ranch small property had gone underwater. His parent's would have been fine, if not for his mother's soft heart. One of their young fowls had been caught in the current and swept away. His mother had went after it, even though there was really nothing she could do, and his father followed. They both drowned in the churning current. The death of his parents devastated Everett, and for a few months he didn't even try to practice medicine. He had wanted to buy his parents land, but it had been already been done. He still holds a feeling of responsibility for it, even though he was miles away.

For most of the past two years he's been home, he has worked as the primary physician of the Lily Town Medical Center. He lives in a small apartment above the clinic, partly so he can be reached easily in desperate times, and also because he has no need for a larger abode.

    Skills:
He is great in his field, and many look at him as a very smart man. His mind is in general quick. He's a good cook, and tends a small window-box garden. He is great at calming other people and making anyone around him feel at ease; it makes his job easier and less stressful to those involved.

    Relationships:
  • Elizabeth 'Eli' Stern: One of the few people of Lily of the Valley Everett does not know (to a certain degree of friendly familiarity), Eli is a curiosity to him. His more compassionate side, that which drove his education, makes him want to check her over whenever he sees the solitary young girl, although he would never impose it on her. Despite having heard, rather than experienced, that she was actually quite the spitfire, Everett has no bad feelings towards her, for he does not really know her to any extent.

  • Gaku Yamamoto: The seemingly darker young man is another specific character in Everett's mind. He wouldn't classify them as close, but to speak for Dr. Micheals would be to say that two had a sort of understanding. Everett was as honest as his courtesy allowed him to be, and Gaku, at least to Everett's eyes, appreciated it. They didn't seek each other out, but pleasantries are exchanged in passings.

  • Alex Garnet: The lively bartender, who Everett often sees after a longer day, or on a spontaneous Friday night, always brings a smile to his face. She is good at her job, and Everett recognizes that one has to have a great memory to be able to recall ingredients to so many drinks. He talks to her specifically whenever he is at the bar, and always tries his best to ease the lines of tension on her face when the bar is full.

  • Henry Manteel: They can't be called close friends, but Everett often talks to Henry about his farm with interest, and doesn't refrain from asking question related to his own small garden.

  • Isabelle 'Izzie' McKenzie: Everett is fond of Izzie. She a larger help around the clinic than she often realizes, especially when she maneuvers a particularly heavy box or other more physical tasks (despite her being a female and him a male, he's more than okay with the fact she's stronger then him: physical strength is a skill borne of practice). She's more than welcomed in his presence. He worries about her grandfather, and does the best he can for him (not that he doesn't do his best with all his patients). He tries to help their situation in any way he can.

  • Isis Thorne: Everett considers Isis a lovely woman, and can hold a pleasant conversation with her without an issue. She is another person he connects with through his minuscule garden: as much as he did it to grow produce, the aromatic smell of his favorite flower, hyacinths, was too much for him to ignore: he more than often buys seeds of the flower, or the flower itself from her. The two have similar 'people-pleasing' attitudes that make the connection even easier.

  • Rosemary Bates: Everett knows her face and story, it is a small town after all, but doesn't know the girl. He seen her from time to time, but their conflicting interests usually prevents in depth conversation. He doesn't dislike her sarcasm as much as he doesn't appreciate it. THey have a casual relationship because of the clinic's needs.

  • Alice Rems: Dr. Michaels is actually fond of Alice, but he looks at her as a young girl. He views her absent-mindedness as a lack of maturity, although as someone who normally reserves judgements he doesn't see it as a bad thing. He doesn't know her very well.

  • Brent Roless Oh, my... Brent Roless is a welcome frustration of Everett's. Although they aren't particularly close, the sheer amount of times Everett sees this man in a season astounds the doctor. Not only that, but he gets frustrated when a lot of the times the wanderer comes in with something Everett had already treated him for, which almost irks him. Not that he gets angry, its more of a concern for the other that drives the frustration. Everett worries after he's gone for too long without see Brent, thoughts of dangerous accidents or predators getting the best of Brent's free spirit.

  • Other:
Being so thin, he isn't good at physical labor. He does exercise, and he can be seen swimming or running from time to time, but he gets tired easily.

Quiet, maybe a little soft spoke and somewhat flighty. Rosie is an open young woman with a very sincere but sardonic personality. Her face is very soft and such her facial expressions all seem to match that. Rosie is intelligent and well kept to herself and has the self-confidence of a small rock; unbreakable but easily pushed around. Her mousy voice and quiet mannerisms make her easy to forget about or ignore (sometimes turning into a small joke- "did we forget to tell Rosie it was a festival today?"). It's because of this that her store is usually always open except for Sundays. Deep down, Rosie is a very negative person, not only to herself but toward her father who was nonexistent through her life. It is because of this that she doesn't hold relationships very long, or really at all. Her previous engagement ended on her own hand and so he left the village to the city.
    Background
Rosie has been a bit of a loner but more on her own accord than others. Her mother passed when she was born which lead to her living a very quiet life as a child while her father worked the store. Though she loved to help and be around for him, he was still a small child to a single father. When Rosie was still young- he remarried a city woman and together had a daughter named, Alice. Rosie- by the choice of her grandmother, decided to remain in the small village while her father left up to the city with his new wife and daughter. As time went by and the years came and passed, Rosie began to resent her father and just thought of him as the "Good For nothing", while this does not reflect on her opinion of all men, it doesn't bode well in the case of marriage; she doesn't feel she can be the committing type. Her happy days with her grandmother however came to an end, the older finally passed away, leaving Rosemary the one who could run the family shop, something she was expecting to do her whole life. after her father returned to the village for the funeral, she met her half sister for the first time as a young woman and while the two of them had vastly conflicting personalities, (antisocial and openly extroverted) they do understand and respect each other. It was at this time that their father and Alice decided to get the girl out of the city, as she finished school. Being the proper owner of the shop, he employed his youngest to work with Rosie. Between the gap of the plot and now, Alice moved from the city in with her half sister to understand the new ways of life there and to experience things away from the city. While Rosie was alright with this, no one really asked her if that was what she wanted...

    -Organizing
    -Playing the Cello and Piano
    -Cleaning
    Relationships
    -Father: extreme dislike
-Mother: passed before she was born
-Grandmother: the stern old woman who raised her with love and compassion who instilled her values upon her to be just as loving.
    -Alice: Tolerates mildly.
-Everett Micheals: The village doctor is regularly visited by Alice and Rosie, so a work relationship is common. Since Rosie manages freight in and out of town, they would possibly converse often.
-Alex Garnet: She doesn't know Alex very well but she feels awkward around her, like she's done something wrong in some capacity. It might not be true but Rosie feels good with keeping distance.
-Gaku Yamamoto: She believes he's a bit of a slacker, so her opinion is a little low of him.
-Eli Stern: Doesn't know her too well enough to reserve a judgment on character.
-Izzie McKenzie: a usual customer of the store for errands and such.
-Henry Manteel: Rosie would probably buy his crops to sell at the story so a common grounds business relationship would probably be about on this.
-Brent: Hasn't really dealt with him enough to really judge him.

    Other
-She may not like being around large amounts of people but she doesn't express it well
-Her previous engagement ended very bitterly, something to town was confused with.
-She has an extensive doll collection in her home- massive.

    Personality
opposite of her elder sister, Alice is a much more pleasant and open young woman with a very sunshine and happiness personality. While Rosie is very down to earth but flighty, Alice is very whimsical and childish- not quite understanding what the world is really like outside of the cloister of protection that she lived with in the city under her mother and father. She always lived in a family with good money and thus is affects her taste which has drastically changed since she came to the village. While she is very childish, she can be nurturing, almost motherly when it comes down to it and it forces a very mature sense of being from her. Sometimes, she can come off as a bit annoying, and maybe not even the most approachable person because of how up in the clouds her mind can be. Those who speak to her sometimes get the feeling that she isn't all there in the head sometimes or think her grip on reality may be a bit off at times. Alice likes to believe that she is going to grow wings one day and fly away from the village one day to find the man who will love her forever under the moonlight. Her fantasies sometimes cause her to wander away from the house and even during her own shifts at the store.
    Background
Alice was born to a very wealthy family in the big city, away from the country life. Her father, originally from the city, moved there many moons ago to live with the 'woman of his dreams' as he called her and had a beautiful daughter he loved dearly; a story Alice's mother would use in many different fairy-tale variants to play her father up as a valiant knight, which for the longest time caused Alice to believe it was her until her 10th birthday when she was taken with her father to go visit this fairyland that she heard of in her stories of old. He embraced an older girl with raven black hair and palest blue eyes, calling her- 'daughter'. Not only did she look nothing like her father, but he referred to the old woman they stayed with as "Mother-in-law". The realization to Alice that her father had left a whole other life behind in this village to be with her mother in the city hit very hard, hard enough that she left off into the forest that night under the light of an empty crescent moon. It was there she promised herself she would never abandon anyone, nor would she let her father do it again. To her, this land was the fairy-tale land her father came from, and that the stories were truth enough to understand that the real world is harsh enough to do such things. When Rosie's grandmother passed, Alice decided, with much opposition from her father, to return and stay in the village, to atone for what he had done. Signing away his money and rights to his estate to Rosie, (in secret) Alice moved in to the tiny little village..
    Skills
    -Sewing
    -Writing
    -Cooking
    -Vocal skills (public speaking, singing)
    Relationships
-Alice: Wants to get to know better and warm up to. They are mostly strangers in the same house.
-Most of the town: generic faces, she's bad with faces and names, so her usual naming convention is"Hey you", "What's your face" "Over there" and the classic "Whatever-your-name is"
-Everett: Although she sees him as a doctor, she actually deeply cares for his health and well-being. Even though he probably doesn't notice that she actually cares for him and maybe have a crush on him. She heard once about his parents by Rosie but wouldn't dare mention it to him.
    Othery
-she sucks with names and faces, she asks her sister if it's anyone important half the time.
-She is actually very ill; her terrible cough has intensified since she moved to the village.
