Ayaka had just arrived at her new masters home. She stood there looking up at the large home. She was in awe, it was a beautiful estate that was for sure. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard the twittering of birds in the background. She had been locked up a long time and it was nice to breath the fresh air. Her tail swished from side to side as she began walking up to the door with her keeper. She hated this man as he always kept her locked away. She was too happy about being outside to really care for his presence at the moment. She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. Taking in all the new scents around her. She wore an old potato sack as a dress as that was the only form of clothing the keeper gave his 'animals' she also was on a short rope leash with a tight leather collar that rubbed at her neck and made it sore. She was a little scruffy too and was in need of a bath. Her ears twitched again at the sound of her keeper knocking on the large door, she heard footsteps come from inside and she looked at the door curious as to who would answer.

A human butler, perhaps in his fifties, answered the door. "You must be the new servant," he said. He handed the keeper a check, took the rope. But he didn't pull on it as if she were an animal; he waited for her to follow. A young man came downstairs.
"Who was--?" he stopped midsentence. "Oh, so he came, Niles?"
"Indeed, sir," the butler replied. The young man frowned.
"Take that collar off of her," he ordered. "She's not an animal, so she will not be treated like one."

She followed the butler in and stopped as soon as she saw a young man walk down the stairs. She listened into the twos conversation and was surprised when he said to the butler to take her collar off. She raised her head so the butler could gain easy access to her collar. Once it was off she put a hand to her neck and smiled, she was happy to feel the fresh air get to it. She was still wary of this young man, he may be acting nice now but people can be nasty, and she knew that from first hand experience. She trusted no one.
