September 21, 2020. That was the beginning of this mess. Maybe it was a curse, maybe it was an attack. Or it could have all been just one, unfortunate accident. No one can really say for sure how or why, but that doesn't matter compared to what we're dealing with now. We call them zombies. Dead walking, attacking the living for little reasons we cannot understand. Those who aren't stripped to the bone or had the good fortune to have their brains splattered upon death will stand up back on their feet and join the horde. God... We can't even count how many of these things there are. Thousands. Millions. All we know is that no matter how many we kill, how quiet things get, there's no end to them. Ammo is low, our weapons are breaking, supplies dwindling. That's why we have to leave. We can't stop them, can't outlast them. But we can get away from them. If we band together, watch out for each other, we could survive this Apocalypse and maybe, just maybe, we can do more than just survive. We can live.

Let's get ready. Time for our Liberation.

This is a Zombie-Survival RP, with a few extra quirks. Currently we are all in a place called Freedom City in America. Our adventure begins with all of us on a city bus coming to Freedom City late at night (Three AM in the morning to be exact). We all have our own reasons to be on this bus, plainclothes and unaware of what is about to happen. Soon the bus crashes, killing the driver and leaving it's passengers stranded. with nowhere else to go we have to head on towards Freedom City, were the horrible truth will be revealed to us. It's a fight for survival and a flight towards freedom, because it's only a matter of time before the horde gets to us. Can you survive, or will you just be another face in the horde?

Rules:
1. Follow the rules of the site as well as the GM's of the RP. We have the right to change the rules as we see fit, and arguments against us will result in immediate punishment.
2. Play nice, be fair, and if you want to do something particularly awesome or get a nice present ask us before you do it. You might not get it, but you certainly won't if you don't tell us first.
3. You should know that no one wants to play with that one person who insist is a former soldier who just happens to be on the bus with his standard issue sidearm. If you really want to be a cop or a former soldier, depending on how well you write out your CS, you may get him, but no one starts out with any firearms.
4. Additionally, we will be implementing a system to keep track of ammunition and equipment. The GM's will decide if you get a weapon when you're searching, as well as the weapon's condition and ammunition. Also you will be expected to be keeping track of your weapons, their condition, ammo, and other equipment. There will be a template below with more details.
5. Attendance is a must. If you've been gone for three days a GM will contact you. If you do not respond to that message or in the OOC within a week, you character will be killed off. If you know you will have sporadic time or may be gone indefinitely, contact the GM's so that we may save your character if you come back.
6. More rules and such added as necessary.

Backpack:
Your Backpack is your inventory for weapons, equipment, and other such things. while each backpack can vary, there's only so much you can carry. A couple cans of food, a first aid kit, maybe a sleeping bag, sure, but you are not walking around with a Light Machine Gun, a sniper rifle, a pump action shotgun, two pistols, and a sturdy shovel even if that's all you have. That's not including other things such as ammo and magazines (For said ammo), which you will also need to keep track of. You are expected to have your backpack information each one of your IC post, preferably at the end of your post. Any additions or alterations to your backpack without reasonable explanation or GM's consent will result in immediate termination of your character. You have been warned.

Weapons and other Equipment:
in addition to the backpack system, there will be a Weapons and Equipment system. All items found will have a certain amount of uses, including melee weapons and firearms. Certain items can be used more often than others, such as how a baseball bat can take more hits than a kitchen knife can. Each "use" of the item, such as using them as a weapon, will lower the condition of said item. The more times you use the item the lower the condition, until eventually it will break. You can repair those items with the right tools or items, such as duct taping a blunt weapon together or sharpening a blade's edge with a whetstone.

Guns and other firearms also have condition levels, but also require ammo. Ammo is limited, and without it your guns are just crude blunt weapons. And like melee weapons, you can only use guns for a certain amount of time before they also break, and guns require more complicated means to repair them.

Clothing will also have some use. As you can imagine, zombies spread their infection through fluids such as bites. Wearing long clothes will protect you, actual armor more so, but what you're wearing also dictates how tired you can get. Running around in a full military gear will tire you out more than just running in some shorts, but each one has their own merits and flaws.

Supplies are things with immediate use. First Aid Kits, Drugs, Food, and things you can use to help you survive. Further into the RP we go, the more supplies we can get, as well as making use of seemingly useless things.

Misc items are just things you've picked up that are either very situational or outright useless. For those of you with quirks of collecting bottle caps and bookmarks.

The Current Situation

Here I'll post information about what's going on in the IC currently. Weather, attacks, location of people, that sort of thing.

Tips, Tricks, and Advice

Some helpful information by past survivors that your characters may need to know. Further we go into the story and depending on how you play will decide how much more helpful information you may find.

1. Zombies seems to only attack the living. They don't fight each other, but they do tend to herd together somehow.
2. Zombies seems to spread through bite and other fluids. Best not to have any open sores if you get their blood all over you.
3. There are too many abandoned cars to drive safely through the streets. You'd have to travel on foot throughout the city.
4. Looks like looters have already stripped the city bare. Maybe if you're lucky you might find a fairly untouched store, but you're going to have to go out of your way to find it.
5. We don't know if it's the government's fault for the zombies, but it won't be a bad idea to try to work with them. Police, Paramedics, even the fire department might have some things we can take if we're nice to them.

So, who are you?
Dominick Yang

Alright, how old are you then?
23

That's good. You'll be strong enough then. So what are you good at?
Used to play Baseball back in highschool, so he's pretty good at swinging a bat really hard. And as their pitcher, he's also very strong at throwing things very hard and fast. After that he took up a job as a mailman in the city, and knows how to get around on foot. And as an avid DnD player (usually fighter) he's good at planning combat tactics on the fly, and has a general idea of story telling and genre. Specifically these sort of post-apocalyptic types. Lastly, as also a fan of LARP's and other types of cosplay, he can make clothing and even crude armor with just some needle, thread, and time.

Okay, is there anything in particular you aren't good with, just so we can prepare for it?
Has bad eyesight and needs glasses at all time for decent vision. He's also out of shape and used to walking everywhere, not running for great lengths of time. He has no idea how to use firearms and has never really gotten into a fight before in his life. And his tendency to look at everything as a story teller makes it hard to take him seriously, more so since he has a flair for dramatics that could get him killed just because he wanted to show off.

Cool, cool. So, tell me about yourself.
Not much to say about Dominick. He, like many others, grew up in Freedom City as a kid. He liked anime, playing on the computer, and on his parents behest, joined the baseball team in highschool just so they know he has a social life. After he graduated he went to a two-year community college for a degree in Electrical Engineering. Though his parents helped pay for college, when he wanted some spending money he took up a job delivering mail a few times a day. He did that so he could have the money to buy fabrics and materials to make costumes and such for his LARP's, or to sell them at gaming conventions for more cash. He recently just came back from an Anime Expo and brought himself a Gibson Flying V Guitar as seen in the anime Fooly Cooly, despite not knowing how to play it.

Why are you fighting for than? Why not just blow your brains out right now?
Dominck doesn't want to die. He also wants to know what happened to his family, but fears the worse. They owned a small jewelery store in a freemarket and doesn't imagine that they made it out alive, but he wants to confirm this first before he decides what to do with himself.

That's good to know. Anything else you want to tell us?
Dominick has a Colt M1911 with a box of bullets and five magazines in a safe back at his apartment, along with a Remington 870 shotgun with another box of 12 gauge buck and slugs. He hopes to stop by and pick these up at some point.

Alright than. Let's just take a quick picture, so that we don't forget you who are.
