So I have a group of friends that I like to tabletop roleplay with, but I'm moving. So we looked into pbp, and this site is pretty great, but I'm wondering-is it rude for us, or any group of people, to just use the site for our roleplaying, but skip the interest check stage, and have the roleplay be closed to new players, and just roleplay with ourselves?

I think you will find varying opinions on that question. It isn't against the rules by any means and lots of people start up RPs with just their friends and don't ever open them for new players. That you are new shouldn't matter.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't violating custom or anything like that, thanks :)

It's like going to the gym to play basketball with your friends vs. going alone and grouping with strangers: gym don't care, just enjoy.
