Bernabé asked for a coffee and some eggs with bacon before answering Cassius

"Don't be mistaken, I was hurt, but I didn't feel any pain. I've been stabbed, shot, poisoned, got my bones shattered, my joints dislocated and stuff of the like numerous times, and even though I don't feel pain I still need to put things fixed for my body to heal."

Then there was her main weakness, but there is no way she would tell it to anyone. The lesser the caliber, the worst it was for her body, because while a high caliber bullet pierced Bernabé cleanly, the wound would be able to regenerate moments later, but a small bullet would stay inside her body, preventing it from healing and eventually causing her problems. This could be a problem, since she hadn't realize that, because of the lenient gun regulations of Elfteria, coupled with the dangerousness of some of the students at the Academia would put her life in danger, and she definitely didn't want to resort to her ESPer outside official police operations.

"Mister Hale, are you currently employed?"

The blue haired girl had a rather noticeable blush of embarrassment across her checks as she stopped apologizing, looking to the boy with her big green eyes that showed she still felt awfully terrible for spilling his drink.Glancing around the Cafe she then noticed that there weren't even any more seats for her, the girl frowned as she turned back to the human boy and gave nervous smile "Since we have already been somewhat antiquated, would you mind if I sat at your table? I understand if you don't want me to it's just that there are no more seats now" She asked continuing her little cutely nervous smile. She didn't even wait for the boy to answer her as she sat down already, getting herself comfortable before turning back to him and to the drink he had. the Dragonette was sizing up the damage she had done to his drink and wondering if she should bother to get him a new one to make up for it."Oh I'm Arydun Untryr by the way" She then perked up as she held out her hand to shake his, a human customary she had noticed when one introduces themselves to another "Do you want me to buy you a new drink? I need to make it up to you somehow" She then asked him in a sweet voice. Arydun wasn't really familiar with conversing with humans when outside of work, she only did work so she could buy clothes and food without having to hunt for them in her Dragon form, that and Dragons never had clothes only battle armour. outside of all the human work she has done over her long years the dragon has no real friends or no home. she was ok with that though, Maybe this boy could be her first friend.

"Sure. Take it, fine by me," Ren handwaved as he began to finish up what remained of his recently spilled drink. It was a shame, but it wasn't as if it would go and ruin his entire day. Nor would he hold a grudge against the blue-haired young lady, given how sincere she was about her apology. It might have been a different case, had she been a bitch about it, but fortunately she was quite well-mannered, it seemed. The Terrenian ESPer leaned back in his seat, pushing the cup away from him to signal that it was now completely empty. He watched as the blue haired girl took the seat across from him, just as she said she would. Ren looked off to the side, boredly watching as pedestrians walked by on their way to wherever: classes and work and whatnot. The occasional feeling of being caught in an AIM Field was experienced as another ESPer walked by.

Ren registered the blue-haired girl speaking and directed his attention to her words. Turning to the young lady, Ren shook her outstretched hand and decided to give an introduction in kind. "Nice to meet you Arydun," Ren began, "I'm Ren. And there's no need to get me another drink to make up for it, I've already had my fill."

1624's eyes opened and he saw a large light above him, he attempted to block the light from his eyes with his hands but felt a restraint around his hands. He looked down and saw he was laying down in a bed with a hospital gown on him, he looked around and saw his clothes on a table not far from him his boots were set together next to them. He looked around and got his surroundings he looked at the table to his left and saw a glass of water a clock and a lamp. 1624 thrust his body upwards and sideways rocking the bed he had been chained too, it began rocking on its sides and soon it tipped onto its side knocking over the table and shattering the glass of water. He heard the door open and two sets of footsteps run into the room one pulled the table over to its correct position and the other ran over and checked 1624's face. He looked up at the woman and stared at her for a minute, she looked back and said something but to him it was inaudible as he gazed into her eyes. His mind once again registered and he made sense of what she said.

"Try not to move," She said "You could hurt yourself."

1624 looked at the other person and recognized his uniform as one of the authorities that had chased him down the alley. He looked at the man stone faced, the man gave him a scowl back and turned towards the doctor.

"You ok here doc?" The man asked. She nodded and checks a tablet in her hands and scanned over his arms and head, she smiled and tucked it under her arm.

"So," The woman asked " You're all fixed, now can I get your name?"

1624 looked puzzled and then turned forward staring at the wall, the woman waved her hand in front of his face and snapped her fingers. He continued looking forward and she simply walked out the room, closing the door behind her he heard the sound of a lock clicking into place on the other side. He grabbed the cuffs on each hand and then pulled with some force, he heard the metal straining under his strength and yanked hard. The cuffs snapped at the chains and he pulled back the covers and sat on the edge of the bed for a minute, he stood and stretched then walked to his clothes. He pulled the hospital gown over his shoulder and threw it on the floor he then put the hooded jacket he had been wearing during the crash, he then pulled his pants on and then tied his boots around his ankles. He stood and walked over to the door but before he grabbed the handle he stopped and turned towards the window, he walked over to it and looked out it. He was only four stories up and he had an idea. He opened the window and pulled the sheets off the bed, he then tied them all together and tied it off on the edge of the window. He threw it over the edge and smiled.

The door unlocked and the authority walked inside but saw the window opened and wind coming in from it. He ran over to it and looked outside, the nurse ran in after him and walked over to the window leaving the door ajar. 1624 snuck out the door from under the bed where he had been hiding, he pulled his hood up and stuffed his hands in his pockets to hide the broken cuffs. He continued walking down the hall out onto the street and began walking and walking. He walked and walked trying to find anywhere to stay eventually passing a diner he turned back and walked inside he noticed a broken chair on the floor and a passed out beast man on the floor. He sat down at a booth and pulled the menu up to cover his face and watched the other patrons come and go some munching food down some chatting. He watched a waitress walk over to a set of two people and take an order of eggs and coffee, he watched some people eat other meals and was reminded he had never tasted anything but the bare minimum of sustenance from a tube. He envied those who ate and watched as someone got up and left, leaving a tray of pancakes behind. He walked over and brought them to his table along with silverware and syrup, he doused them in syrup and took a large bite. He smiled as the sweet syrup touched his tongue then he tasted the fluffy warm goodness that was pancakes, he swallowed and ate more. Soon his plate was gone and the waitress walked over and took his plate, she smiled and winked at him. He watched her walk away and smiled content that he had finally tasted food.

Cassius was a bit intrigued about her, pain didn't register with her at all, that was an interesting feature his new acquaintance possessed. "Interesting quality...." He said to her, she seemed like she could make a good partner supposing he ever joined law enforcement. He wouldn't even begin to attempt thinking about the idea of being an officer. He looked up at the female with a blank expression and shook his head. "No, I'm not....the only work I've had was mercenary work and that isn't very reliable or good at times..." He admitted, ashamed of his status, he had been a warrior for so long all he knew was fighting.

Cassius looked to see a someone walk in, he raised an eyebrow, they looked both human and elf-like, muscular and well built. He noticed the scar on the male's eye and a tattoo of something, numbers of some kind. This did not seem like a good thing to him, he was a bit suspicious now, who could this person be, he didn't seem very casual with the way he was acting. The young super soldier watched some people leave, abandoning their breakfast, not a moment too soon the stranger walked over to the table and began to eat the food that was left behind. "Uh...." He was questioning it but he wasn't sure what he should do, technically that person was stealing. Glancing at his new acquaintance for a moment he got up and walked over to the hybrid elf-human. "Where did you come from....." He paused to looked at the tattoo, 1624 was what it read out to be. ".....Mr.1624?" He asked him.

"No, I'm not....the only work I've had was mercenary work and that isn't very reliable or good at times..."

Bernabé listened silently. A mercenary, he said? He could definitely be a good bodyguard and it would be a good way to have Cassius in check, in case he decided to try anything illegal again, but the proposal would have to wait after they had breakfast. However, he suddenly stood up without warning and walked behind Bernabé, who, upon turning around, saw a half-ling with unwashed looks sitting on a table nearby

"Where did you come from"

Bernabé said "Mister Hale, I would appreciate if wouldn't waste your time talking to beggars." But she was surely not heard and turning her back she ignored him to await for the waitress.

"...Mr.1624"

"One, six, two four? That's a rather unusual name..."

Bernabé turned again and gazing at the half-ling again she noticed a tattoo with those numbers, similar to those common among jail prisoners, and more importantly, broken handcuffs around his wrists. Without trying to sound worried, although she was, she hastily said

"Cassius, stay away from that man."

1624 recognized the sound of his own name but noticed it had been said in a different way, he looked to see two people staring at him, one a woman in the authorities uniform and a man in what appeared to be typical dress wear. He saw them stare at him and then the woman said something in a warning tone. He stared for a moment not sure of what to do, he heard more words and they continued to stare at him. Slowly he became nervous and jumpy as the pair stared at him and he stared back, he held his fork and knife very hard and felt the fork bend in his hand. He looked down at it then at his door and noticed someone had began walking out, he threw his silverware to the side and rushed out the door but it closed in his face. He prepared for impact and ran through the door taking it off its hinges and smashing the glass. He began running and his foot caught on the shattered glass door, he kicked the door towards the side of the road and it hit into a car smashing the windshield. He ran down the sidewalk barreling into passers by and with some fairly fast speed.

Cassius looked toward the halfling once he looked toward him, he heard what his female friend spoke and turned to her. "Why?" Just as he asked that the halfling bolted for the door, to his surprise he smashed through the door, shattering glass and splintering wood as he tore the barrier from its hinges. "Well, I see your point now..." Cassius said before he took off through the door, vaulting over the car and running on others in front of it before getting close enough to the strange being and diving downward to tackle him.

The waitress was arriving with the eggs and bacon when Cassius decided to go rampaging in the search of the fugitive. Bernabé rolled her eyes and sighed deeply before standing up and walking towards the door while saying:

"I'm sorry, I'll be back in a moment"

Once she reached the doorway she stopped on her tracks and backpedaled to the waitress again and grabbed the coffee mug she was carrying

"Actually, I'll take this with me."

Once outside it didn't took long for her to locate the gunner, who had successfully tackled the half-ling. Bernabé approached calmly while drinking the steamy coffee, chances were that she was boiling her tongue because she wasn't tasting barely anything, but at the same time it was a rather dreadful coffee. Once she was at he side of Cassius she said to him

"I find rather uncouth that you have left a lady alone all by herself, but I guess this action shall serve to atone for your previous incident with the gun. Now, mister Hale, if you could please keep him still I would like to ask a pair of question to decide if I should call the police, an ambulance or a psychiatric center."

She then leaned forward and looked the man with the 1624 tattoo directly in the eyes

"Who. Are. You?"

1624 struggled under the mans grip as a woman approached wearing the authorities uniform, he had no fond memories of the uniform and stared at her with malice. He remembered the question from the hospital upon hearing the woman ask his name he stared at her and attempted to form what he had been called in the tube.

"Seh," 1624 began " sek teen tinty fower. sek teen twenty four. Sixteen twenty four."

He smiled realizing he had managed to form words he stared at the woman expecting her to smile but she merely watched him as though this were no major thing. He was uncomfortable with the man pinning him to the ground and pushed up with his arms the man stayed on his back for a moment but let 1624 stand up, 1624 pushed himself off the ground entirely. The man watched the halfling clone carefully as did the woman. 1624 stared at both of them shiftily worried one would attack and he would be forced to do the same, he watched the woman carefully awaiting her response. He kept his hands balled in fists the entire time just in case.

Rinnosuke and his 'sisters' went together to the school using public transportation near where they lived, a bus. Without doubt when it came to transportation, Island Nation have lots of variations there, it might be due to how variate the races and cultures in Island Nation. Moreover, public transportation is quite fast and on-time so many students used it to travel from one island to another island. Since Island Nation usually #1 when it came to tourist destination, the transportation here is far better even from most advance continent in Uno Mundus, Pitover.

It didn't take long enough for them to reach one of Island Nation's main islands, Elfteria. There's only 2 places here. One is Academy City on the East side and the other one is Верный (read: Verniy, which means reliance in Russia language) on the West Side. Academy City is one of... no... the best City in Uno Mundus when it came to education and researches. While Верный is town where most Island Nation's food supply made and stocked, lots of food culture events held there. Both places only separated by a big lake where most aquatic creatures lived.

Their differences is quite ... contrast, Academy city is more modern while Верный is pretty much didn't change a lot from what it used to be. Despite the contrast, the relationship between this two places is very nice. Right now, let's forget about Верный since Rinnosuke and his group's destination is Academy City. The moment he arrived there, so many students is first thing he noticed.

Well, it's kinda normal since this is Academy City. However, for one who just stepped here (in this case, Rinnosuke). They found this as magnificent. HAfter all, the island he stayed have its own school, but it totally different level when you compared other schools from different places with schools in Academy City.
is 'sisters' already knew the places in Academy City so he would relied on them for information.

"Where we go? Our school I meant?" asked Rinnosuke

Chiaki take care of the siblings and act as some sort of guardian, to be precise an escort, there are plenty of transportation to consider, the vast array of rides are rather bringing the temptation to take the ride but considering the expenses and the consumption rate of Sekai Money, Chiaki can't decide quickly but kudos to Rinnosuke for being a step ahead of her and decide quickly. It didn't take long enough for them to reach one of Island Nation's main islands, Elfteria. As a matter of fact, Rinnosuke seemed eager to go to school, Chiaki analyzed his behavior along with Nagisa but no point of staring because both will get into a quarrel as always.

A contrast of Lyranias and Island Nation is like comparing magic and technology, Lyranias being the biggest continent among all outright surpasses magical entities and magic based technology that Island Nation could ever have, in any case things are vastly exotic in Lyranias than Island Nation, that's what Chiaki could remember as far as she think about it. Elfteria Academy, one of the best schools in Uno Mundus, the most common and well known school that is.

The Tsurara woman sighed, she can't tolerate so much questions but then again she's as sensitive as Nagisa will ever be, "While I'm not the type to show directions, I've learned this last year." Chiaki spread a salt circle around them and chanted Latin words for it. Instantly they reach Elfteria Academy just as easy, although that teleportation spell that Chiaki use is good, it is convenient and flawed because of having a C Rank for that spell. "We're here, sorry I didn't tour you guys around, I just hate waiting, I can teach you that spell some other time if you want." Chiaki remarked.

The blue haired girl grabbed the menu from the table and started to scan through the list, deciding to take two meals for herself even though she could eat more than that. Arydun didn't want to seem suspicious in anyway by ordering one of everything on the menu. Once she ordered her food and started to wait the girl then turned her green eyes back to Ren with that smile again, head tilted as she tried to think of what to say or ask him. The girl was never good with starting conversations, all the information she had collected and none of it could help her with the art of human conversation.

He didn't present any muscular tics, neither he seemed to be fat enough to be a cretin, so likely he had aphasia, of the expressive kind. Although it would require a qualified doctor to see if this deduction was right, there was a quicker way to see if this man was an aphasic or not, opening his skull and seeing if there was a hole in the broca section of the brain. Of course, Bernabé would never do that, as it would be the same as killing and she didn't have the license or equipment, but she approached the index finger to the head of the half-ling and with the nail she rhythmically hit the side of his head, expecting an almost imperceptible vibration that would prove that in was hollow in that area.
However, she was most surprised to see how her prediction was wrong, and instead she found other thing, a head lice now attached to the nail of Bernabé, who got disgusted and initially though of throwing away, but on a second though she took a strip of adhesive tape out of he pocket and enclosed the parasite in it, then she kept it inside her pocket.

"Hm... This man is inoffensive, but only when he doesn't forget to take his pills. Maybe he has escaped from a mental institution, give me a second until I call the police."

It took more or less four minutes for the police to arrive and get the man inside the vehicle. Bernabé drank the last sip of her coffee and then talked to Cassius

"Well, Mister Hale, shall we get inside again?"

She then put her hand inside her pocket and felt the strip with the lice and though to herself "Got your blood"

Rinnosuke looked at Chiaki then looked back at Nagisa, who noticing his brother's stare. It appeared something Chiaki said trigger Rinnosuke from doing something.

"What is it, Nii-sama*?" asked Nagisa and Rinnosuke just shook his head. Nagisa then patted Chiaki's back.

"Nice job there. We arrived far faster than I guess. But it appeared that teleportion spell have its own range limit eh~ As expected, Rank C teleport not quite useful If you wanna go far away with this many people and take quite mana."

The magic Chiaki used is a Rank C one. Like ESPer ability, Magic also have their own classification. Some magic have its own rank system with S as the highest and E as the lowest. Rank F not considered as the lowest since it represent magic with highest failure or not useful in any kind of thing at all. Usually the more powerful the magic is, the higher cost needed to use it. Moreover, each people have different kind of mana reserve, different method to use magic and different magic affinity.

For example, Nagisa could get S rank if it came to Fire magic, but E if it came to Water or Ice magic. It due to her nature being half-fire spirit. Human have more balance magic affinity, usually B too all kind of magic, but some decided to focus on getting an affinity higher. However, when one already learnt magic, they better not became ESPer since the power is like facing 2 magnet with same poles and they ended repel each other. There's still lots of research made to make this two co-exist in one medium, but so far it just impossible.

Rinnosuke suddenly talked, "Sure, I would like to learn about magic from you Chiaki-Chan, but I not interested in becoming magician. I just need the knowledge."

"Why you said that, Onii-Chan*?"

"Because I wanna be unique, maybe?"

"I thought you were jealous"

"Sometimes..." said Rinnosuke as he closed one of his eyes.

During his Conscription, all participant could finally get their own Power (be it Magic, ESPer or as Ruspere User). Some of them (like Rinnosuke) didn't take it at all. For Rinnosuke, it appeared that his reason is that he tried to show that he not power-dependent and one don't need such power/ability to be strong. But, there's times when he felt envy with ones with abilities. He could get his title and trust from his bosses, all because his hard work only.

"I will go and see the class first. See you two later at the meeting hall for the Opening Ceremony."

After he said that , Rinnosuke immediately left the girls alone. Sometimes he forget that the girls can be like dog and cat, but he appeared to forget that detail because something occupied his mind.

"Neee... Chiaki-Chan. Don't you think Rinnosuke Nii-Sama felt a little weird after you said that last word of your? Speaking of which, does he even knew his class?"

"...Right," Ren said skeptically, slightly raising an eyebrow at the hesitation he caught between the word 'human' and 'the food of...'. It sounded... really, really suspicious. Though he wouldn't hold it against her, it's not like humans were the only race in Uno Mundus. Though there were definitely a multitude he could rule out based solely on appearance - Beastmen, Fae, Angel, a few dozen types of Demon, etc... However, her actions spoke of someone who wasn't really in tune with humans, and that definitely stripped the list of a lot of races. He could count on one hand the amount of possible races he could think of that fit that description. 'What the hell, I'm not a goddamn detective,' Ren thought to himself, cutting his analysis off, 'Must be my damn ability. Making me analyze everything. Hrumph.'

Ren shook his head and checked the time. He was still early enough to stay a while and head for classes. His particular institute of learning started later than others. Though calling it a school would be a misnomer, it was more like a research facility. A research facility full of teens with scientists that double as teachers and some specialized classes to replace the more useless ones. He liked it, since his 'specialized classes' were literal 'social' studies, as well as some wandering. Given how his ability worked, it made perfect sense.

Two men in the uniform of the authorities stepped out of a vehicle that had pulled to the curb and approached 1624 as the woman walked away, he watched her go and wondered what was to happen. One of the men grabbed his arm and tried to place it behind his back, 1624 looked at him and the man tried harder to push his arm behind his back. 1624 lightly pushed the man off and his partner drew a weapon from his hip, 1624 grabbed the weapon and pulled it from the man then turned it on the man and pressed it to his head the man stepped back and bumped into his vehicle, 1624 pressed until the mans shoulders were on the vehicle and spoke.

"On your knees!" 1624 said shocked at his own words, he briefly looked away from the man and smiled, then returned to the task at hand. The previous authority that 1624 had pushed aside had stood and drawn his weapon as well. 1624 felt it press against the back of his head and ducked not a moment too soon as the gun went off and hit the roof of the car next to the other man. 1624 tucked his shoulder in and rammed into the first authority's stomach flipping him over his shoulder, as the man hit the ground 1624 grabbed the mans pistol from his hand and shoved it in the mans mouth. The second authority attempted to make a move but was stopped by 1624 aimed the pistol once again at the man and staring him in the eyes expressionless.

"Don't do anything stupid," The man on the car began, "Killing us will only make it worse."

"Screw you!" 1624 shouted in the mans face, he put his foot on the first authority's chest and pulled the weapon from his mouth aimed it into the air and discharged it. He put it back in the mans mouth and heard his muffled shouts, he looked down at the man momentarily then looked off in the direction of the woman walking away. He hoped she had heard the gunshot.

Cassius smirked a little bit when he was called mister Hale, it sounded so nice and courteous, he was used to being called a corporal. He heard the gunshot and looked toward his female acquaintance, he was sure she'd understand what he was doing by now. "That doesn't sound good..." The last thing he said before he ran toward the sound of gunfire, topping his speed to 40 miles per hour, he braced himself to tackled the half-ling down.

Not only did she heard it, she had the chance to more or less observe how 1624 had reduced the pair of policemen, although not directly, she had kept an eye on the shop window across the street and looking at the reflection she saw some of the movements that the half ling had made. However, she didn't act because of the unexpected precedence, the guns used by the policemen. Civil Powers (one of the three police forces of Pitover) use revolvers with .40 full metal jacket caliber ammunition, which Bernabé can shrug off easily in case she gets shot, but it seems that in Elfteria the police used 9x19mm pistols, which proved to be a bigger problem. Situation grew more tense when she saw how he was putting one of the guns in the mouth of the policeman and Bernabé wondered if it was time for her to use the ESPer, but for some reason the half-ling instead shot in the air, catching the attention of Cassius

"That doesn't sound good..."

Bernabé watched how the mercenary ran at surprising speed towards the half-ling and she decided that it would be good to let the mercenary old the situation, shorta like a trial to test if his skills were up to her expectations. In the meantime, Bernabé would return to the bar and pay the barmaid the breakfast that they didn't had the chance to eat

1624 saw the man run at him and sidestepped then put his elbow in the mans stomach then flipped the pistols around so that the butts of the guns formed baton like weapons, he struck the man in the back four times then saw the authorities making moves, he turned and hit the authority on the car in the head knocking him out cold. The authority on the ground tried to stand up and 1624 kicked him in the head to keep him from doing anything at that point he stepped back and flipped the pistols back so that his fingers were on the triggers and aimed at the man who charged him, 1624 kept taking steps back until he was a safe ways away and continued aiming at the man.

"Anyone who touches me gets what they got," 1624 said adjusting his grip on the pistols, "That goes for anyone and I mean anyone."

"...Right," Ren said skeptically, slightly raising an eyebrow at the hesitation he caught between the word 'human' and 'the food of...'. It sounded... really, really suspicious. Though he wouldn't hold it against her, it's not like humans were the only race in Uno Mundus. Though there were definitely a multitude he could rule out based solely on appearance - Beastmen, Fae, Angel, a few dozen types of Demon, etc... However, her actions spoke of someone who wasn't really in tune with humans, and that definitely stripped the list of a lot of races. He could count on one hand the amount of possible races he could think of that fit that description. Ren thought to himself, cutting his analysis off, Ren shook his head and checked the time. He was still early enough to stay a while and head for classes. His particular institute of learning started later than others. Though calling it a school would be a misnomer, it was more like a research facility. A research facility full of teens with scientists that double as teachers and some specialized classes to replace the more useless ones. He liked it, since his 'specialized classes' were literal 'social' studies, as well as some wandering. Given how his ability worked, it made perfect sense.

When Ayrdun's two large meals came along the girl looked more excited by the second, thanking the waiters before turning to her two meals and starting on one. even though she used a knife and fork she still managed to scoff half of it down in only a couple of minutes like some sort of hungry beast, and once she had finished that plate she moved right on to the next almost without stopping.
Even after those two meals the bluenette still felt hungry, as great as the human food was she was use to like eating two cows whole and sometimes even bigger. Stacking her plates up she then grabbed the menu and scanned over it again, the girl then remembered that Ren was there as well and peeked up to him with a smile "Oh I'm sorry I almost forgot you were there" She laughed "Love my food. I'm sorry if my table manners aren't the best" She bowed her head a little before returning to the menu to find a last meal for herself.
