Briefing
7 years ago the largest ship ever built, the Yamato 01, went missing on its maiden voyage. Now it has returned, all communications attempts with it has failed. It currently orbits Mars, emitting a distress beacon. You were or have been hired by Yamato Enterprises as a repossession agent to reclaim the Yamato 01. A variety of expertise is valuable for this mission due to the complexity of the Yamato’s engines, electrical systems, and life support systems, and in order to assess its current state and perform minor repairs if necessary. You have all been given maps and schematics detailing the Yamato’s structure. The ship is divided into cells called districts. Each district is bordered from one another by huge airlocks. This way if one district were to be compromised it could be quarantined off from the rest of the ship. In general, each district has a specific purpose, the bio-labs for example is responsible for recycling the air on the ship.
The Yamato 01 is property of Yamato Enterprises, therefore all passengers on board must obey company law. Since the Yamato 01 is not part of any nation, all citizens on board have no rights beyond what is detailed in the employee manual. As a repossession agent, you have the ability to suspend rights of citizens on sight and have immunity to all but military laws, as detailed in the employee manual.
Zeta Squad (that’s you): You will be inserted in dock A1001, the forward most docking station. From there you are to locate the control room and get in contact with Captain Johannes. Failure to follow orders or complete the mission will deny you your paycheck. Your assigned operator will be updating you with pertinent information as it comes up.
Story
The smooth hum of the ion engines calm your nerves as your little transport ship draws closer to its destination: Mars. You can faintly hear what sounds like a country song you’ve never heard coming from the pilots seat. To your sides are your teammates, whom you’ve been grouped with for the sake of this mission. There are other teams, like yours, hired by the company to reclaim their property. The ship is massive after all, its in a class of its own and holds the record for the largest ship ever built, roughly the size of Neo-Tokyo. A single team wouldn’t be nearly enough for this job. You remember overhearing some chatter from other teams during the briefing. Some think this is the easiest job they’ve ever taken, that they’re just glorified Repo Men with an oversized paycheck. Others think this job has bad juju all over it. Maybe someone, or something drekked* everyone on board and sent the ship back as a warning. Of course, no one knows anything for certain. All you know is 7 years is a long time.
“Hold on to your seatbelts” the pilot said in a half joking manner. You feel a little thump as your small ship enter Mars’s orbit and alter its trajectory. Down below the planet is as red as ever. Colonization started a few years back but from up here you can barely see the tiny city. “Thar she blows! heheh” the pilot clearly finds himself amusing. On the crimson horizon it finally comes into view. Some would say mankinds greatest feat of engineering, not a ship but a moving city, the steel behemoth they call the Yamato 01. The first thing you notice, besides the sheer size of it, is a hefty chunk missing from the upper floor of the bow. What exactly happened here? What are you going to find on this long lost vessel? Make a CS and find out!

First of all this is my first time as GM, just so you know :) I’ve had this idea for a while and have the plot all planned out and ready to go. If you join, I hope you will be dedicated and see this RP through to the end. Of course, I’ll try to keep things as fun and interesting as possible.
