She finishes up with the customers then looked back seeing that the male blonde neko was gone. She shrugged going back to the food making sure everything is okay. Kaori noticed that a rice ball is missing "That blonde neko..." she thought for a bit thinking he took it. She makes another one to replace it then grabs a piece of watermelon eating it slowly watching the stall.

Taylor was disappointed by the lack of coffee found in the town. Had these people never heard of it? Good news was that they did, the bad news was that they didn't have it in many places and she wasted forty-five minutes searching for some coffee. Now, she leaned against a lamp post, finishing the last drops while watching the busy day pass onward. It was still early morning, but she had a headache about the size of the mysterious gemstone she had found earlier.

She twirled it around in her hand. It had a faint, soft glow and it was warm. "So this...is a heart?" She mumbled to herself, having asked the Innkeeper about it. As story goes, it was HER heart. She was supposed to give it to the neko she fell in love with. How odd of a concept. Love. "Yeah, right," she gave a bit of a small, sarcastic laugh to herself, before letting out a sigh and dropping her empty coffee cup into a nearby trash can.

She looked down to her waist, seeing the pistols in their cases. She sighed relief, wondering when her OCD got so bad. "Now...where to look for jobs for a bounty hunter?

Oh. Right. The police station. She sighed yet again, time to waste another twenty-five minutes trying to find that. This day was not starting out too well.

--

Weston finished the rice ball and threw the seaweed wrapper into the trash can. He licked his lips and stood off to the side of the crowd and watched the stalls from afar. Where next? Maybe somewhere with some cake or pears this time. .

The blond neko began to turn and walk, almost colliding into a girl with blue hair, stepping back just in time, "Oops, sorry, Miss."

Velion watched everything from her stall the farthest from the crowded area her consumers know where to find her. Turning a little vine hanging sign it looked like a abandoned stall but there where her fresh fruit hanging from metal baskets. Apples, Oranges, Pears and most tree fruits as she had a way to get a full stock to sell. Looking across the road she sighed and sat back in the chair her money would go to her wallet as soon as she got it, cause there was a thief somewhere around here smiling she started to sing and restock the baskets " oh little plants, oh little plants, give your best fruit to me, never to be dug up, or even stomped on. Spread your seeds and watch them grow, live your life through years to go."

"Thank you!" nodded Hyperion with vigor as he reached for the package. As he started to head out he nearly bumped into a girl who seemed to be delivering letters. "Good morning Alex," she greeted to the small red haired neko Ion hadn't noticed until now. She said a few more things while Hyperion tried not to accidentally hit anyone with his large package of bread, nodding when the girl turned to him and greeted him. "Morning to you!" he smiled, "Make sure to visit the Striped Scarf when you need a break!" With a smile he nodded and headed out, sighing as he awkwardly tried to jog back to the restaurant.
And he seemed to arrive just in time, as the breakfast rush was slowly dying out. Less work for him, woo! "Ah, here's the bread," he commented as he made his way to the kitchen, setting the parcel in it's specific corner. As soon as he'd set it down, the boss turned and gave him a sign and ordered- "Outside."
Ah, with a dejected sigh, Hyperion grabbed it, pushing his black hair behind his ears as he headed out, waving the sign around to the streets. "Please eat here," he half-heartedly advertised, "Our food is above decent."

"Gotcha," whispered Argo as his fingers wrapped around the bird, falling flat on his face as he did so. "Ahahaha," he laughed to himself as he sat up, the bridge of his nose scratched and lightly bleeding. As he opened his hand, he noticed he'd wounded it, accidentally spraining the little thing's wing. "Poor you, poor you," he cooed as he got up, carrying it in one hand- it wasn't in any shape to escape, now was it?- his free hand wiping at the blood over his nose, only smearing it onto the gravel stuck to his cheeks. COntinuing his gentle speech to the bird, he added, "I bet some food will make you feel better, my bad, my bad."
A few minutes of walking lead him to the market place of town, where cat ears and wiggling tails and humans and hearts were the most abundant. Stopping in front of a stall with a woman eating a watermelon, Argo placed several coins down before grabbing a rice ball and shoving it in his mouth whole, totally forgetting he'd meant to go there to feed the bird and totally not realizing he hadn't paid enough.

Weston watched as the girl walked past him and straight to... a fruit stand. His stomach began to growl again, "Okay, okay, quiet down," he mumbled to himself as he slowly approached the stand, staring at all the delicious, fresh fruit. Apples, bananas, grapes, pears. He caught a glimpse at the stall owner -- some human girl, he wasn't sure if he had tried swindling her yet or not.

He stood behind the blue haired girl, "Looks good, doesn't it?" He gave a bit of a smile, waving his hand over to the store owner, "'scuse me, Miss! How much for those pears?"

"Yes they do.." Silvia replied wondering what she should get. "But I can't decide if I should get a apple or watermelon.." She mused

((/I'm thinking your at velions stand ))
" they are both good and the pears are around a dollar or two depending how big it is. I would suggest the apples they are in bloom, well isn't everything in bloom here. " She joked brushing some knotted hair from her face a small vine hanging from the top of the stand was moving in the wind a bit.

"Apples sound good.." Silvia said. "Got one?" She had never tasted a apple fresh picked before and was curious what it would taste like.

"Apples are great for eating and baking," Weston added to the conversation, looking at the pears with greedy eyes. Suddenly, he was beginning to wish that he had listened to the words of his older sister.

Get a job, Weston. Get some money and you can have all the sweets you want...

He'd most likely have to provide for a human someday. But someday -- it wasn't today, "Also, they're very sweet. I'd recommend those as a fresh fruit...connoisseur." Now then, how to sneak away a bundle of fruit without either of these girls -- or anyone else for that matter -- noticing?

" baskets full and I have more they are always refreshed pick, very sweet but watch for the green those Rae a bit sour. " She said handing the girl one and holding one out to the boy " Names Velion nice to meet you, it's free I have way to many right now the tree just love me don't they. " She said the last part jokingly and she herself took a Apple and bit into it. She wasn't shy in front of others so stuff like eating and doing other tasks with others there she didn't mind but she did mind if they said her name wrong that was one thing she hated more than anything it's was Velion not Veloin or Vilon just so irritating.

Kokoro had gotten dressed first before even thinking about flipping the open sign, nobody came to the store that often did they? it was tea and herbs for soars, and not to mention that nobody came there when they were hurt anymore. It was a business that was growing dry, or at least this is what kokoro's thoughts were. she was happy that they had a river they were allowed to fish from. possibly they'd get more business from that, but she knew her brother would say no to that. She ran to the door to flip the sign, wearing permitable clothes now. "You know what brother! you should take a break today. I doubt anybody will want tea. Maybe you could go and visit people for once Your always such an introvert anymore with this dumb family job." She leaned away from the sign and looked to her brother.

Ichigo blinked a moment as he bottled some herbs and set them on the shelves. "If anybody needs these herbs, who will be there for them. A lot of these can help with allergic reactions. And calm down people who are having a panic attack. Plus the tea is all natural, and filled with nutrients most of these neko's don't get from our food sources." he mentioned. He wasn't concerned for himself at all, but he refused to think that nobody needed the herbs either. It wasn't like it was always empty though.

Kokoro sighed and flipped the sign as she ran out the door, she was going to have an adventure, maybe grab something good to eat. As she ran out into the street, she took a ponder on what she should try and get. She had limited cash, but she figured she could manage. She was also tired of being in the herb building. Although it smelled nice, any smell can get old if your in the room for to long.

"I will make sure to! keep an eye out for me!" Toccoa said with a cadence that claimed she wouldn't be there for business anyway. Why seem so impersonal? She eyed the parcel in his arms as he worked his away around her. Nothing she was very interested in.

Good thing there's not too much demand for pastries from this bakery. Cakes, cookies, cupcakes, danishes, donuts, eclairs, and frosted anything...- Toccoa was easily lost in thought in her short wait for Nero. Her closed smile remained while, her eyes, ears, and tail all perked up with awareness. "Likewise, and it's no trouble. This is all I have today." She said as she slipped the first of a tall stack out of her bundle of manila folders. "Usual business. If you like i'll be making rounds to turn it in when it's due as well. Maybe i should be apologizing." She made a single-syllable hum of a laugh. After a check of where she was off to next, she started for the door. "Take care Nero. Oh, and thank you Alex!"

Toccoa moved along the road, still dreaming of sweets and such. When one of them caught her eye, and ears. A human man walked by on a pace set on his own. He sang a humorous tune about his free time instead of work. She couldn't help but laugh! Her outburst made her aware of her rudely held attention to the stranger and her tail straightened while her ears fell against her head again, embarrassed. Off to some other place now!

Naneko begins her day

Naneko woke stretching her lithe form her twin tails began swaying like two snakes locked in a ritual mating dance. Turning to her friend Kuroi Sora an ebony female cat that lived with her she said a cheerful good morning before ruffling her fur playfully.
Climbing out of bed Naneko headed down to her cooking room checking on her latest brews of Sake an Beer. Many might have been overwhelmed by the pungent aromas produced by the active cultures but to her they were a promise of coming days of celebrations. Naneko was the only one who worked at her brewery for she made just enough for her Sake House and to sell to her favored customers.
It had always been thus at "Nemuru koneko no ie" (House of the Sleeping Kitten) which barely contained enough room for 100 people to sit about tasting her wares.
Naneko then entered the Sake House proper an began opening all the doors to allow the fresh air from outside to enter as she began cooking her's an Kuroi Sora's breakfast.
Today's meal was as always fish but was made special because it was of a saltwater variety and it was fresh.
Naneko giggled as Kuroi Sora did her little thank you begging dance eager to sample the roasting delight.

Fish, Fish,Fish; Oh my a lovely little Fish.
Cook him up real quickly for I think my tummy hollow an soon will surely starve.
Fish Oh Lovely little Fish soon we will eat you an then stretch out neath the sun.
Oh how we love the fishy an soon we'll be eating some

Sings Naneko in her sweet voice a song she sings for her tiny friend as she dances an sings along in feline voice

When the meal is cooked Naneko sets out the plates warning Kuroi Sora to wait for it to cool a bit before digging in.
Her's is an idyllic life it might seem to an outsider looking in but they'd be wrong for something important is. missing; Naneko has no battlemate and is in danger of becoming a monster soon if she cannot find someone to balance her.

Sand. Sand. Sand. Meaning in every grain; sorrow, and hate in every grain of that cursed sand. Memories, revenge, agony, and despair were all contained in every bit of it. The heavy feeling on his chest could not be controlled anymore. With a jolt, the lad sat up awake. Zakir felt his chest lighten as he reached for something within his tunic. In his hand was a brown jewel which was quivering. Zakir already knew what was going to happen. The lad set the jewel near the garbage bin as the brown treasure began to expel sand from its core. Zakir shook his head as he disposed of all the sand, sighing in the process. It was always like this every morning... The memories haunted him from his sleep to his life; never giving him a chance to rest.

The lad exhaled as he decided to just start the day. Zakir cleaned, and bathed himself, and after wearing his usual white clothes, the lad went outside. He was already a few minutes late for his mail courier employment, and he was sure the boss wasn't going to be pleased... not like he cared in the first place. After a few minutes, Zakir had arrived at the Post Office, his eyes dull, and lifeless. The boss gave him some sort of evil glare, but Zakir just ignored it. Heaving his assigned bag of mail, the lad decided to just end it. He trudged along the busy paths of this cat village... Literally, cats. The anthropomorphic cat-like beings here were apparently known as nekos, and Zakir had to find out the hard way since his arrival.

Zakir looked at the first mail... It was some bills for a certain brewery. Zakir recognized this place, it was the only sake producing facility in this goddamned village. The lad grunted as he took off, and headed for the brewery.

Even though he was just a few kilometers away from the brewery, Zakir could already smell some distinct aromas. They were not exactly tantalizing or intoxicating, but they were strong, and alluring. The lad shook his head as he finally arrived at the entrance of the brewery, spotting a neko, who was apparently eating breakfast. Zakir rolled his eyes; he didn't even eat breakfast yet. The price he had to pay for even helping that bastard of a father.

Zakir was now getting nearer to the entrance as he called out.

"Good morning. I'm from the post office. A bill has been delivered to you." Zakir said in a dull tone as he observed the girl. "Sorry for disturbing your meal, but I'd like to get a signature so I can be on my way."

Zakir IS rude... but he had no time for this nonsense. All he had to do was finish his bag of mail, and get his paycheck.

Naneko meets the mailman

Naneko and Kuroi Sora sat enjoying their meal when up walked a young man with a particularly sour expression. He carried a mail bag which marked him as a postal carrier and when he spoke he removed any doubt as to profession or disposition.

"Good morning. I'm from the post office. A bill has been delivered to you." He said in a dull tone .
"Sorry for disturbing your meal, but I'd like to get a signature so I can be on my way."

"Like to be on your way?" giggles Naneko looking up at the new mail man

"Are you sure you enjoy anything?" she asks playfully her big luminescent eyes glowing with joy.

She takes the pad an starts to sign stopping part way through
"I am Naneko an this beautiful creature is my friend an companion Kuroi Sora. It is our profession to bring a smile to those who need one.
When you finish your rounds please return and accept our hospitality.
We serve beer , sake and good humor here at the Sleeping Kitten so please return and recive our gift
says Naneko her smile charming and cute even if her fangs lend her an almost vampiric countenance.
She finishes signing then hands the clipboard back.

Kuroi Sora the black cat sits looking up at the man her expression unlike her companion inscrutable and very feline as her long tail lashes the tatami behind her..

-"Will anything happen today, ughh, so boring!" Koshi said.

He kept on twirling a pen around. He decided to take a small walk. He looked at his boss.

-"Don't worry, I won't be gone long, I'm just talking a small walk."

Koshi walked out of the Police Station, and began walking around town. The Town was really full today. He walked back to the Police Station hoping something would happen today.

Zakir raised his brows as he examined the woman who had returned his grim and dull demeanor with a wishy-washy, happy-go-lucky character. Zakir received the signed clipboard as he sighed.

"Oh, I do enjoy doing stuff. Particularly, getting away from people, and getting away from this hellhole." Zakir rolled his eyes as he stuffed the clipboard into his courier bag before hoisting the leather crap on his shoulder and raised the face mask he forgot to wear. Zakir tried to listen to the woman who was babbling on, and on about things that mattered less than a bug getting stomped.

"Yeah sure... Name's Zakir. We leave it at that." Zakir smirked as he yawned. "If I still have any crap to drown after this one hell of a job, I'll come back." the lad shook his head as he particularly observed the black cat which was staring at him... Not a normal stare... it was as if the feline was boring right through his soul... That cold stare. Stare. Back in the tomb. Zakir's eye twitched as he suppressed the memories that tried to surface. He felt the jewel become heavier as he pulled it out from his tunic, and raised it away from the girl. It only took a few seconds for the jewel to shake before it released a small cloud of sand which fell slowly to the floor, and was blown away by the wind in an instant.

"نكاح!" Zakir cursed as he sighed deeply. "It happens so randomly... I hope you don't mind the sand... I clearly have no idea what this is in the first place, but instincts told me to keep it safe... It was as if my life was tied to this thing. Tell you what, if you tell me what this crap is... I promise to come back once I'm done." Zakir eyed the woman as he held up the jewel to give the neko a clearer view.

Mikota walks to school

Mikota walked to school reciting to herself the structure of the hand.
"The human hand consists of 27 bones the eight short bones of the wrist or carpus organized into a proximal row, scaphoid, lunate, triquetral and pisiform, which articulates with the skeleton of the forearm, and a distal row trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate, which articulates with the bases of the metacarpal bones"

She repeated this to herself as well as other skeletal structures in a kind of weird song that helped her memorize. She often did this an for that reason she was considered spooky by her fellow classmates. None of them knew that Mikota was hoping to one day be a doctor and that was partly due to the fact that she was painfully shy.

A tall girl Mikota stood nearly six foot already and had a slender, busty athletic build, the busty part she thought often she could do without as it drew attention to her.

Seventeen years old she was graduating school this year and before the summer was done would need to take the grueling test that would gain her admittance to the university of her choice.
