[OOC] Birth of a new age

For a long time, the land of Masrith grew in peace. It's races only saw friendship and wars were a thing of the past. Legendary orders that were neutral in alliance were used to keep peace and also settle any unwanted disputes. There was never a need for any kingdom to raise an army. However, when the human kingdom had to have a new ruler, a mysterious figure stepped up to the throne. With an army he trained in secret, one by one the surrounding kingdoms fell to the new rule. The orders of Masrith stepped up to try and put an end to the kings actions but were defeated and enslave. Now that the world is under one rule, a resistance many different races has stepped up. This is where you come in. It is time to overthrow the tyrant and take back the land of Masrith. One by one will we free. There are already sparks, all we need is a match and soon the fires will grow to big for the king to put out.

Orders

A number of orders were used to keep balance in the world but have now been imprisoned. If you have any ideas for more then pm me.
Fallen order of Paladins: Once proud and holy warriors now imprisoned. After the king had imprisoned them, they forcefully had demonic power sealed within them as torment. Most went corrupted and all are labeled as abominations.

Knights of Drake: Knights famous for their dragon like armor and serving a dragon known as the ancient one. After the king and his armies and killed the ancient one, the knights of drake were imprisoned. They posses dragon like abilities.

The Vanguard: An order that serves as the right hand of the king. Highly skilled fighters used to hunt down people who are of high threat to the king. They have the reputation of never failing and have single handedly dealt with the Paladins and Knights of Drake.

The Thunder Birds: Serve as the royal guard of the king and guard many high officials. They are famous for their proficiency of lightning based magic.

Name: Li Ning

Age: A couple thousand years old, typically appears to be in his early twenties

Gender: Male

Appearance: As a fox (which is his true form), he looks a lot like a typical red fox. However, his fur is a beautiful opalescent mix of soft colors and his eyes a piercing blue.

As a human, Li can take on any form. Typically, that form is somewhat effeminate and Oriental-looking. His hair is dark, wavy, and long, and his old eyes are almost always the same piercing blue as they are in his fox form. Clothes do not change with him, however, so he tends to "create" clothes with an illusion until he can find something to wear--this is typically the first thing he does when he changes between forms.

Race: Shining foxette

Shining foxettes are rare and mystical fox-like creatures. They're not necessarily immortal, but they cannot die of old age and they usually have powers of illusion. Otherwise, they're weak, and taking hold of a shining foxette will dispel their illusion.They are often hunted for their beautiful fur, but under a full moon, they can take on a human form. Should a shining foxette find true love under a full moon, however, he becomes capable of taking human form whenever he pleases.

Abilities: Illusion making: his illusions are pretty strong though typically pretty peaceful and used primarily as a means of self defense. However, if a person has a particularly strong will--which is rare--he or she can break through the illusion without touching Li.

Personality: Calm, kind, insightful, and clever. He might come off as rather serious, but he does enjoy fun and laughter. He can be too trusting, though, sometimes and tends to see the good in everyone.

History: Many years ago, Li fell in love with a young woman under a full moon and would return to her every month until the love was returned. She had children of her own, though, and he stepped in as a father figure. When she passed on and the children grew to have families of their own, he left. Now he still roams, and--should trouble fall upon them--descendants of his lover can summon him for aid. That said, his story is an old one and most of the descendants are ignorant to the power they hold.

If anyone wants to make a descendant of Li's lover, let me know! I wouldn't mind having a connection within the RP and I think it'd be pretty fun--especially if that connection happened to be to someone who happens to be working for the king.

Durendal

Name: Durendal
Age: Relatively young for an immortal being, which is around 100 years.
Gender: Appears mostly male, but can take female form
Appearance: The form he takes most often:

Race: Sword Spirit - A cursed sword that has a mind of its own. It grants its wielder special powers, but their most significant ability is their power to generate humanoid silhouettes to wield themselves. The silhouettes are practically indestructible but can be injured and thrown around like the forms they take (EX, if he looks like a human, people can shoot him in the arm and disable him from using that arm, but he won't feel any pain and can regenerate them soon enough). The only way to get rid of the silhouette is to knock the sword off of the silhouette's hands, in which it will be sucked back into the sword. The sword spirit has to wait a few hours or days to regain its ability to make silhouettes, and until that time comes it can be used as an enchanted sword.
Abilities:

Spirit Channel - The wielder gains amplified reflexes and gains the ability to fire ki waves at will. The speed, size, strength, and color of the ki waves depend on the wielder. For all of Durendal's forms, the waves are small blue bolts, but can be fired rapidly.

Personality: Durendal tends to take on personalities that match his silhouette. As the blue-haired form, he acts like a stereotypical adventurer: hardy and rough, but caring his for allies. As his sword form, the personality he last took slowly fades into a gruff one.
History: Durendal was once a regular magician, but a failed experiment regarding the connection between the netherworld and our own landed his soul trapped in a sword, as well the destruction of his old body. Durendal had since forgotten his past life, and that's pretty much all he remembers.

By the way, what sorta timezone does this RP take place in? I'm thinking medieval, considering there's kings and paladins?

Well, the silhouette would collapse to the ground until it comes back. They work just like their form does, just with a sword and regenerative properties. So the silhouettes may be unkillable, but they can still be injured and disabled just like a normal person.
