[IC] Life on the streets

Roxy had come to the city six months ago to get away from her father's men. They had begun making her uncomfortable and her father refused to do anything about it. He told her if she couldn't defend herself then she deserved whatever happened. Rather then risk losing a fight she took off. As soon as arrived in town she began looking for a place to stay. Some place abandoned but still in good condition. She had found an old hotel that was exactly what she was looking for. Now she only had to find others willing to work with her to improve their situations. With that in mind Roxy did something she had never done before. She began looking for people.

*Along the markets some of the people would be searching around and the vendors are not happy. Stuff has been stolen and some locked boxs were broken into. No one knows who did it, but a boy can be seen watching everything unfold with his hood up and his face not showing.*

Lea ha followed one of h targets to the market earlier that morning, she had originally started on one of the main streets, but the market was a much better place for her to work. She had taken the wallets of several people, emptied them of all cash, even a debit card or two, and returned the wallets. She always tried to make sure that the wallets got back to their rightful owner. It was her way of apologizing for taking their money, and she tried to only target those she thought could afford the 'donation'. She had the money in a messenger bag she had gotten with stolen money, and had been hoping to get more, but someone had ruined that when the stole stuff and broke into a money box. When the search got started she made her way out of the crowd, and found a good place to sit out of the way and wait for things to settle back down. She shook her head as she watched. "There are less noticeable ways to go about getting what you want ." She said more to herself than anyone.

He worked furiously on the ATM machine, he had disable the camera a bit earlier, as well as the subtle side cam, and was currently coding it to automatically distribute $200 if the correct code was punched in. He had wired several of these machines in the area, this was his eleventh in the area, he had a few thousand dollars in his backpack, wallet, and an emergency stash he kept in a place not very easy to reach. He chuckled to himself as he unplugged his laptop from the machine, Yet another successful hacking job. He quickly connected to the bank's protected network and broke into the server, placing a mini-virus on the ATM that wiped the memory of his transaction, so none of the money he took would be registered as missing. The Perfect Crime.

Roxy watched the guy at the ATM. She was impressed by his resourcefulness. It would be handy to have someone with that kind of skill. She leaned against the tree debating the best away to approach him. Finally she shrugged and simple walked over and tapped him on the shoulder.

Donny was walking through the market place looking for new job openings. His pizza job got deep-six'd when the some of the employees apparently made a video of them putting snot into their pizza. He shuttered at the thought as he looked around the shops hoping to find some jobs or maybe a place where he could pawn things, no questions asked. Sure those places are often shady as hell, but he did have a few "Hot" items that he didn't want anyone linking back to him. They were small things, shoes and such, and a somewhat damaged Ipad. That might raise some alarms though, so he'll have to hold onto it until he can find a fence he could trust.

He turned to her, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out his pocket knife stealthily
"Yeah?"
He asks, eyeing the girl in front of him

"Aren't you cute." Roxy chuckled as he pulled a knife on her. She showed him the one she had been twirling in her hand. "If you expect to get away with all that money you really should take better care not to be seen."

*Drake looks pretty over at them from the shadows. He grins as he moves from his hidding spot and quickly takes several more items in the chaos. Using the shadows as his ally as he moves, never staying in one place. He moves and quickly take one of Roxy's knives and hides as fast as he can thinking one of them clearly saw him. He moves quickly to get away.*

He replied, slipping the knife back into his pocket

Roxy continues to twirl her knife but her attention isn't on the boy at the ATM anymore it is on the one who grabbed her knife and ran for it. He was either incredible brave or terrible stupid, Roxy couldn't decide which one. To the boy at the ATM she said. "I wouldn't be to sure about that. I know several people who would be willing to tell just for the fun of creating chaos. I would be tempted to turn you in myself but I have to go chase a crazy boy. You have a nice day. Maybe I'll catch you again some time." Roxy laughed at her bad joke before taking off after the boy who snatched her knife.

"I'm sure you will, pretty girls have a habit of running into me!"
He calls after her, packing up his things and walking away slowly, avoiding the streets that officers patrol.

*Drake would continue on as he climbs over obstacles, quickly moves through the shadows and actually scales a building. He turns around on top of the building as he sees Roxy behind him.* "Looking for this I wonder?" *He holds up her knife and looks at it* "It's quite nice. I can understand why you want it back."

Roxy looks up at the guy who stolen on of her knives. She smiled pleasantly at him. "You really should give that back. While it isn't a special knife it does belong to me. I am very protective of my knives. I would be willing to trade you something for it."

*Drake smiles down at her and sits down* "How about we talk then?" *He pats the ledge next to him.* "And I'll give the knife back. I can kinda tell you aren't part of the police and are on your own . So I'll be nice."

Roxy studied him. She wasn't a big fan of being near people, but if she planned to find people to work with her she would have to get over that. She slowly made her way up to the ledge. "You see to think you know a lot. Tell me how you came to these conclusions."

*Drake laughs slightly and once she is sitting on the ledge with him, he hands back the knife to her. Holding the blade end while the handle is out to her* "Just something I picked up over the years. Just being able to tell that about people, that and I saw you walking into an abandoned hotel... yes I can be everywhere and nowhere..." *He looks out across the city as he opens his bag. He holds out a wade of cash and looks at each bill, she could see several $20s and two $50s. He puts it away as he then looks at each piece he stole* "So what where you up to talking to people? People never get you anywhere after all."

She was uncomfortable with the fact that he knew where she was staying, but she knew that information would be out soon anyway. If her plan worked out, she would have to keep doing things she hated doing to keep herself feed.
