Hunters this is purely for you. It was brought to my attention and it’s partly my fault for overlooking it. Your knowledge of the supernatural creatures of this lore will naturally be limited. You don’t know about septs, tribes, clans, factions etc. You will just know “vampires” “werewolves” “ghosts” etc. Now I’m not saying you CAN’T Learn of it in some way through detective work interrogation etc. Now that being said I have something else on the subject of knowledge. You aren’t reckoning hunters. So your eyes aren’t opened to the world of the supernatural around you. You gotta do hard nosed detective work to figure stuff out ask questions look for clues break into former crime scenes snag police reports etc watch the new. Things like that. When you see a vampire unless they are actively acting like a vampire you’re probably just gonna think it’s another person unless they have physical traits that are obviously not human. The same goes for Garou. Unless they aren’t in homid form you probably won’t know they’re not a human unless they’re like a metis or something. That doesn’t mean you can’t connect dots etc to figure it out, but you won’t just know. Places of power and caerns, and vampire hideouts you won’t be able to tell them from a hole in the wall unless it’s just pretty obvious. You’re human you have obstacles to overcome so overcome them. Frankly I think that’s what makes the hunters so cool. You overcome things by the sheer tenacity of your own will rather than the fancy powers that others have. Be badass I wanna see some dick tracys in this muthafucka.

@ Roadrash that all said and done. Your going to warn garou of your benign intentions or your knowledge of their not really wanting to fuck with hunters isn't really practical. I'm not asking to change anything major about your character. Just that knowledge of those actions when you arrive at cities wouldn't really make sense. You're a hunter you're still gonna be against garou. They're not humans and they "pose a threat' to humanity. Now not saying you have to be hateful towards them or go out of your way to find them at all. Just saying that your knowledge of the way they act or where they stay is limited.

Name: Gabriel Richards

Age: 31

Sex: male

Skills: Gabriel is a very skilled hunter with knowledge in many aspects of the lives of the supernatural, as well as their weaknesses. He is well versed in the art of sword play and has a certain affinity for the french captain's sabre, though he isn't unaccustomed to using his snubnosed pistol. His core ability stems from his ability to judge a situation and react almost instantly. His fantastic acting and mental fortitude was the only thing keeping others from deciding He is a master strategist with only his own confidence as his downfall.

Personality: Gabriel is a quet soul, with little to say. He almost always has a small, shy smile on his face, and almost never raised his voice. It would be difficult to carry a casual conversation with him, since he never considered it an obligation to answer every statement. He does his best to avoid pointless conflict and makes himself almost invisible in the process. This, unfortunately, works perfectly for him.
He sees himself as the only person alive who sees the world in all of its horror. Everywhere he looked, all he could see was self destruction, idiots who could never consider that the world doesn't revolve around them and their kind, and nothing but hatred that poisoned them all. Though they feared the monsters that hunted them for food, he could see that they had as much to fear from one another. It didn't matter, though. He was determined to save them all from themselves

Bio: Gabriel was born in to a family that was well aquitted with the Society. His father was an Abbés for the provincal of Boston, and well repected by the Cenaculum. It was absolutely certain that his son would one day join them in their cause. As a child, Gabriel was raised to believe in the majesty and awe that was the lord. His family constantly praised this mysteriously powerful being who was even more influential than even those who were chosen to rule. His word would be law, or the world would be chaos. Despite this, he could never seem to grow close to anyone, not even his own parents. Until he was about 8 years old, he would almost never react to any attempts by his parents to grow closer to him. He would just stare with blank eyes, watching quietly. As he grew older, he bacame more responsive and smiled more, but there were times when the people he met felt as if they were being judged.
When he joined the Society, Gabriel grew to see more. As he learned about the concept of , he could see that the hunters justified their killing with reverence to the lord and savior, but there was no difference between this and murder other than claiming it in the name of the lord. The supernatural admittedly had their own morals and each considered themselves above the other species, as the Hunters' Society stood above them.
Even though he hated their cause, Gabriel joined the Hunters Society to rid the world of the menace of the supernatural. As much as he studied, he could never find a time where either the vampires, the garou, or any others did anything other than spill blood. Sure, there were times where one supernatural would aid the hunters in the destruction of the other, but all it accomplished was more death.
It was clear what he would have to do. He wouldn't be able to change the entire world, but he would do his best to purify his small part of it. He would need power, and the Society would give him that power. With the Hunters as his ally, he would finally have the leverage he needed to finally make these bigoted idiots of civilization see the error of their ways.

Appearance: Gabriel is an albino, meaning he has white hair, red eyes, and pale, ghostly skin. He stands at about 5 feet tall, and wears a blue button down shirt with a black vest that holds holsters for his pistols and a pocket for his knife. One defining trait is the rosemary he wears around his neck at all times.

Equipment: He carries his Captain's sword with the rest of his equipment, but concedes to a hidden pair of pistols and a knife when in public. At home, he has a hidden notebook listing his own findings on supernaturals that weren't listed in the books given by the Society, as well as a list of those that hold his suspicions of being supernaturals.

Fallen Muse - Thank you for the compliment. It will be interesting to see what becomes of my character and how he relates to the rest of the cast as the story progresses.

Agreed. On both counts. Expect my first post shortly... I don't anticipate much action for a bit, but I plan to open things up for interaction between at least my character and Justric's.

Personality: Jennings, fitting of her prior career in the armed services, and as a mercenary, Jennings is a highly intelligent person, capable of rationalizing out and creating complicated plans most folks could only dream about conjuring up. This intelligence shines through in her social life as well, those that would count her as a friend quickly note how fast she can reason out and figure out something complicated to most folks. This doesn't mean she is without oddities though, acting in an odd, quirky manner much of the time, despite this intelligence that would lead one to believe she was bi polar, but this is hardly the case. She merely knows when to be cool and analytical, and when its appropriate to act up and be odd in life.

Perhaps free of the military life's constraints, Jennings acts a bit foxy and saucy around some folks, in open attempts to gather their attention, and far more in theses cases, which they are often more than willing to give the woman. But in both this and her professional aspects of life, she is feisty as well, raring to get going in all things, when given the proper opportunity to to do so. But she is loyal to those that earn such things, and has the bravery to back up that loyalty, ready to march into the maw of hell itself should her loyalty and devotion to another demand such things. This doesn't mean she won't make a raunchy or off comment along the way, but that is all part of the package.

Bio: Born into a military family, Jennings was quick to follow in her family's footsteps as an Army soldier, although she ended up landing in the field of intelligence rather quick, rather than simply serving some front line job, although she would see plenty of front line work during her time of active military service while completing the intelligence ops she was assigned to do in an area, garnering valuable experience she would later use to be more valuable to the highest bidder, although this wouldn't be until her contract expired with the Army. What, or who, caused her to not reenlist with the Army, instead choosing a freelance job is unknown to the all people except Jennings herself, and she is not inclined to talk to anyone about such things lightly.

Jenning's time as a PMC was lucrative and, for the most part, easier than her old work with the Army, considering she could get paid unusually good sums of cash for easy jobs like watching a stock pile or doing some internet digging. She would still get into fire fights, certainly, but she spent as much time relaxing and clubbing as she did fighting and shooting, and she developed her full personality that many know and, well, love is debatable but they certainly know her personality well enough. Of course, she wouldn't have simply dropped such easy, lucrative work without a good, hard prompting , and she would come across it in a way that no one else could have possibly imagined, and if you had told her before it happened that it was Vampires, she would have laughed you out of her quarters.

Jenning's life changed forever when she was assigned to a relatively simple job, being tasked with clearing out some god forsaken 'terrorist camp' that had been set up within a mountain cave sytem. Nothing unuusal, they liked to skulk in caves and such often enough to hide their activity from aerial survelliance, and she took a team of men in with her to take out the terrorists. Said terrorists were Vampires and accompanying ghouls, and they got slaughtered to the man, only one other person and Jenning's herself surviving to escape. And the other man would take his life instead of simply living with the knowledge of such beings, or simply burying it away so he didn't remember what happened. Jenning's did not do any of this, and remembered clearly what happened, and was determined to figure it out, and combat it after some deliberation.

Leaving PMC work with healthy stash of cash, she started funneling it into figuring out this supernatural business, tracking down a handful of people who had seen the same things she had, just under different names, and different places. Sure enough, she pieced together that there was indeed things that went bump in the night, and they did not mean humanity well. She would dedicate herself to hunting such creatures, although she would hide behind her personality by day, when the hunt came, she was fierce and determined to see the job done. Her new cover was a supernatural horror author, giving her an alibi to wander wherever she pleased and ask strange questions that normally would raise red flags and alarms, but authors were eccentrics and odd as a whole, so it would provide her the cover needed to track down and slay the supernatural beings. She would find kindred souls in aiding her work, both legitimate and supernatural, a notable one being a local Boston PI who had quite the experience with the supernatural, and was, in his own way, just as determined as she to see them slain.
