Gray started singing when Weiss stopped.

Gray smiled. "You always did have a lovely voice, Snow Queen," he said.

Weiss whirled around, a startled look on her face as she faced Gray. The song he sang hit close to her heart and she felt tears prick her eyes. She looked at the ground and furiously blinked her eyes to dispel them. Once the song was done she looked back up at him, scrambling to put her walls back up so he wouldn't see her weakness. "I could say the same thing about you."

(I'm trying to think of a nickname for him xD)

Gray was concerned. "What's wrong, Weiss? It's always a bad sign when you can't sleep. Means you're gonna be irritable." He gave a smile, showing he wasn't being serious.

[XxLyraxX]

Weiss shrugged as she looked back up at the moon. "You know how it goes. My mind just can't seem to quiet down. And I am not irritable, I'm just mildly cranky." She looked over at him, trying not to smile herself.

[Miraboreasu]

"I understand. Your mind can't slow when you've got a hundred thoughts buzzing a million miles an hour in your brain. I'm the same way." Gray was smiling now. This was so much like the old days. "Pyrrha's here. She said my old teammates graduated."

Weiss nodded, looking up at the sky as a slight wind blew her hair away from her face. She shivered, her thin night gown serving little use against the wind that seemed to go right through it. Maybe she should have come outside with a jacket. And shoes.

"Wish I could offer you something," Gray said. "Besides, I thought you didn't get cold?" He was teasing now.

Weiss hugged her arms to her chest and shot him a look.

"You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul." She sang, lips curling up in the corners.

Gray moved to block the wind with his body. "Weiss... I really did miss you," he admitted quietly. "You were my best friend before our dads had that falling out. I remember there was talk of me dueting with you on stage."

Weiss looked up at him before admitting quietly: "I missed you too. You were my first and only friend." She said, looking down at the ground; the walls she erected to keep people out were gone and she was left without anything to hide behind.

Gray sat down next to her. "You didn't have any friends? Didn't you have a posse you'd go shopping with, or whatever? Or a team when you were at another academy?"

Weiss snorted. "Friends? More like a group of girls that saw nothing but how rich my fathers company was." She said

[Miraboreasu]

"Oh joy, groupies. Too bad you couldn't get some." Gray didn't mean it, and he laughed, as if back in the old days again.

Weiss snorted again. "Sure, it's all fun and games until they start stalking you."

[Miraboreasu]

"Like Tall-Blond-and-Scraggly over there?" Gray pantomimed looking over her shoulder. When she turned to look, Gray tweaked Weiss' nose with a finger. "Gotcha."

Weiss blinked and whipped her head around when he mentioned Jaune but then frowned when he flicked her nose. "What are you, five?" She retorted though not as harshly as she usually would.

[Miraboreasu]

"Just reliving the days when all we had to worry about was hair-pulling and what the nanny was making for lunch." Gray sighed. "I miss those days." He wrapped his arms around himself.

Weiss sighed a bit wistfully. "Yeah, me too." A small smile touched her lips. "I remember all the trouble we would get into. We used to drive the nanny insane."

[Miraboreasu]

"Like when I 'fell' from the balcony and 'died'," Gray laughed. "The ketchup from my nose, ears, and mouth was a good touch." He grinned nostalgically.

Weiss's smile got slightly bigger. "I always was a good actress. Though I don't think our mothers appreciated our little stunt as much as we did. I thought we would never hear the end of their scolding us."
