[IC] The Doctor and the Guardian

The Doctor was watching to make sure nothing went wrong. He didn't want her harmed. He had his sonic in hand and was ready to jump in to help if he had to. He wasn't used to standing back either. He knew it would be hard.
"Of course it is, the Master doesn't think of these consequences when he does these things." He sighed "He just wants to rule the universe," He knows the MAster was one to cause alot of chaos in the process. "Its always tricky."

A couple of drops of blood fell from her nose as the glowing got brighter. Suddenly her form changed, her skin changing to pure white and her hair from the dark color to light almost white color. Huge wings appeared on her back, her clothes changing into a silver and gold armor. She hadn't relized her true form was showing as she fought to close the damaged rip.

The Doctor noticed her true form. He stood there kind of amazed. He knew that the rip needed closing. He didn't want her to get too drained. Plus these were things he usually did. He helped close the rip, he knew it would make it easier.

Once he started helping her, she was able to go back to her hidden form, her nose bleeding freely now. After a few minutes the rip closed and she lowered her arms, breathing hard. "There...all..." But she didn't finish as she fell back, her legs buckling

The Doctor muttered to himself and goes to her. He knew she had pushed herself too much and he goes to help. "You need to rest."

[MegaraFoxfire]

She nodded, not even wanting to argue with him. "Yes...I do...can I shoot the master now? Not to kill...just to hurt him a little for this crap..."

[Magic223]

"No.. you need rest and that will just provoke him, He won't want to back down again then." The Doctor sighed and takes her back to the TARDIS.

She leaned against him, fighting to stay up right. "Alright...but I will shoot him next time I see him...just in the foot...I promise..."

The Master was not around , He had taken off. The Doctor sighed a bit "Fine, But provoking him is never wise."

Avery laughed weakly as the world spun around her. "Nope...but it would be fun...and make me feel better for what he pushed me to do...I almost showed my true form..."

The Doctor takes her back to the TARDIS and makes her lay down on a bed "Even I don't solve things that way." he just puts the blankets over her, He really does care about her. "Well from what I could see, your true form was quite amazing."

She looked at him, her cheeks red. "You....you saw my true form?" She tried to sit up, her eyes full or fear for the first time.

The Doctor sits by her "Its ok. It was quite beautiful, You started to change when you were trying to close the rip, But you should know me of all people wouldn't mean you harm."

Avery looked at her hands, her hands shaking badly. "I haven't changed into my true form in a long time....years....and for someone to see it....anyone...it's just...there are so few of us left....I don't know if the others are even still alive...I just wanted to fade...become something unknown....something no one would remember...."

"I know what its like to be one the last," The Doctor was looking at her "But You looked amazing, sometimes It does feel that way I know that its not always easy to see that, I think being what I am Is a curse."
He puts the blankets over her and closed his eyes. "Thanks for everything,"

Avery reached out and grabbed his hand, a couple tears running down her face. "Please....don't leave just yet...I'm not used to feeling this weak....if you could...stay with me?"

"I'm not leaving, I'm just making sure you are comfortable," The Doctor notices her tears, He sits on the bed and wrapped his arms around her to comfort her. He knows hes starting to have feelings for her and is afraid she won't feel the same.

Avery leaned against him, her head pounding. "It was right after Helios fell when they found me...this group that told me I could still do great work for space and time....I said yes. It wasn't great work...,they turned me into a monster....a killing machine to turn on anyone who got in their way. Hey brainwashed me and controlled me....their angel of death....when I finally got free I was barely able to move. In a wheelchair for six months after all the crap they put me thru....that's when I made whix....so that I couldn't ever get fooled again..." A couple more tears ran down her face. "I hide who I am because of what they made me do....of all those I hurt...." She cried into his shoulder, her body and mind in pain.

The Doctor wondered if this is what Whix had said she didn't talk about, He listened and did his best to understand. He realized she must trust him enough to even talk about it. "That is a lot to go through," He was holding her and rubbing her back to try and comfort her. He knew she should rest but knew she probably wanted to talk about it. He wondered if what she went through made it harder to sleep.
"Who is they?" He wondered if she would give more information on who the group was.

She blinked and said "a small group....they were a weapons department for some group called torchwood....but when the new leader found out what they were doing, he cut the program. It's how I got out of there..." She wiped her face, knowing sleep wasn't a choice now. Anytime she thought of them her mind would go on over drive. But she was weak and needed the rest. Most of all up she needed healing herself.
