[IC] The Doctor and the Guardian

"I do...," The Doctor had heard her just as he was walking in "Plus I don;t like it when others have to get hurt all the time," he was feeling rather stiff from laying down so long.
Stretching the Doctor walked over and looked at her injured "What happened." he looked serious and was frowning a bit.

She looked away and said "went to get a break and a guy wanted to get a little too friendly...so I threw him thru a wall. His friends came at me and after a bit they joined him in the wall" she looked back at her shoulder, pulling out bottle glass. "I'm fine...I've had worse..." Whix said "your energy levels are low from the healing, which explains your short temper and why you went looking for a fight"

The Doctor was looking at her "Go get some rest, I'll be fine " He was thinking for awhile. He hoped that guy was nobody too dangerous really, or he knew that could mean trouble.
He needed to be on his feet for a bit as he was getting edgy laying down too much.

Avery shook her head and said "I need to clean these, and I'm fine, just ticked off" she went back to her wounds, looking tired again

The Doctor sighed and leaned on the console. He was thinking for a bit, He felt like she would never let him help her that much. He was looking around.

Whix looked at him and said quietly "talk to her...please. She's going to burn herself out at this rate, and those wounds look nasty...." Avery was still getting glass out of the wounds, having problems reaching some of them

"Alright, feel like she will never let me help though." He goes to find her "Here let me' he goes to try and help her get it out without hurting her "You need to rest,"

She moved her hands and let him pull the glass bits, looking beat. "I'm fine...just a rough few days is all...."

The Doctor was looking at her "You can't carry on like it, " He said. He felt bad that he had caused her to need to wake earlier in the first place "Its my fault you had to wake earlier."

Avery waved her hand as he worked on her wounds. "You needed me....I'm here to keep you save. So you come first" she flinched again and said "besides....like I could rest now"

The Doctor was looking at her, he continued to work on her injuried, he then put something on so they didn;t infect and he bandages any big ones,"Still you could get very sick or work yourself to death."
He looked at her seeming serious.

Avery looked at him and said "a lot of things could happen....won't keep me from my job....no one ever really thinks about me after I'm gone. They worry and want me to stay, but as soon as I leave I become just a memory...it's better that way"

The Doctor frowned a bit "I'm not like that, though I would love if you stayed, I know you need somebody and I and I am alone too, Please just sleep for me."
He was trying to be kind, He looked at her. "I don;t ever forget and people aren't just memories to me."

She looked at him and said "life is easier when they are just memories...memories can't hurt you....and I. Ant sleep. You saw what happened before. I was out for an hour and you got hit. I can't take that risk again....no, I'll push on."

"I don;t want things to be just memories, pain and loss proves I had friends, proves I cared and was cared for, even if I lose my friends I am glad for knowing all of them. And I'll be fine, You can rest, If I get sick or harmed again I will be fine." He replied. The Doctor was looking at her "I'll keep alert and then get more rest,"

Avery shook her head. "It's my job to keep you save...I won't drop my guard again....you'll have to make me to not do my job." She moved around him back to the control, not leaving the doctor with a lot of choices

The Doctor looked at her "I know,but I will be fine if you sleep for a bit." he knew she needed to sleep, he wished he could convince her, knows she won't listen to Whix either.

Avery didn't answer, walking into the library to work. Whix came up and said "I hate to say it...but we might need to force her....she's at the break edge now"

"MMm yeah I am thinking of a way, " The Doctor was looking around. He knew that Avery needed to get some sleep. He was rather worried about her missing sleep.
